Love this spot year round. I live within a few blocks to it's a go-to for date night, happy hours or a winter drink when I don't want to go far. First off, they have great prices on wine, some drafts and a couple of appetizers during happy hour. I got a very full glass of rose for $4. I also had the white sangria which hit the spot on a warm night, I've never had a cocktail there I haven't liked. They know how to make a serve a mule correctly, bonus points from me since it's a summer favorite. The food is also very good and they always have unique, foodie specials - such as the bluefish dip I tried the other night. The sandwiches are very tasty but some of the bread can be a little tough. If they have the sausage dish, and they use Ostrowski's, you have to get it. Some of their pickled items aren't my favorite but they are fun to try. The cheese board is served in generous portions and they have a good variety. Lastly, and then I'll stop raving about this place, they have great servers who are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. A small place that gets it right!

Lobo has some charm. the place has a very welcoming vibe and tons of seating. It's right on the outskirts of Fells on Aliceanna Street; I think I have passed it repeatedly. I do suggest going for happy hour, as it seems the specials are great. We had a really nice time, but I think everything we ordered would have been on happy hour. The kitchen is completely exposed and really quite tiny - I am not sure how they are doing such upscale bar food in such a small little spot. I think the exposed brick and warm wood bar makes for a really inviting spot. I started with a Willamette Valley Pinot Gris, but they have a nice selection of whites. I eventually switched to the Vinho Verde - a little cheaper and still really cheerful. Chef sent out a little appetizer: cute little crostini with an herb puree, which held us over as we worked through the menu. After perusing the menu, we started with the Chef's board, a mix of cheeses and cured meets, plus some dips and house made pickled items. It was an easy choice when the group couldn't decide between the charcuterie, cheese and pickled plates. My only complaint was that there wasn't nearly enough bread for that much meat and those huge chunks of cheese. Am I the only one who likes bread and or crackers with her cheese??? Next, we went for the oyster raw bar: Malpeques, Warshores, and Choptanks. They serve them on ice with lemon and tons of sauces, no need to choose: cocktail sauce, fresh grated horseradish and three mignonettes: champagne and melon, red wine, and ginger and rice wine. I couldn't decide. I kept trying them all.

Cross this also off the to eat list. So i wanted to go to a new place for H/H and decided on this spot, they dont have the offerings on their menu online. Nothing caught my attention unless you are into oysters and cheese plates and such.. The sangria that i ordered off the H/H wasnt good, i returned that quick. So i switched to the regular and ordered a sandwich the pork loin sandwich to be exact.. Decent sandwich, (bread was good) quite good, the side pasta salad was decent as well. I ordered a Mai thai, looking at the alcohol that was supposed to be in it, this was also a disappointment.. No buzz whats so ever. So for H/H it was a dud, service was friendly, sandwich was good, hey its a sandwich, pasta salad was good. Will i trek to the other side of town probably not, if i happen to be in the area and i was walking by and they were open, sure i will go in.. since i like places that are off the more touristy spots.

Okay, so I stopped by here for their happy hour oysters. You get 2 different options for happy hour oysters that rotate. At $1.50/oyster, the price is reasonable (although obviously, you should try to make it out to those $1.00/oyster places instead). The service was okay; nothing extraordinary but solid. We also ordered the onion dip from the happy hour menu, and it was okay. Overall, the place was OKAY, but there are plenty of places you can go to that have better happy hours.

Alright so I have been here twice now and I have now formed my opinion. This place is glorious! We have had fantastic service and food each time. Both times we came in around 7ish during the week and there was a small crowd, so we sat at the bar each time. The bar tender is super nice and knows the menu well. The beer taps are ok, you will definitely find something you will like, but beers are not their strong suit. This goes for the wine too, nothing great but you will be ok with the selection. Now, I'm here to talk about the food and the snacks. We have started off with the meats and cheeses. The cheeses are pretty good but they have some of the best salami, made by Olympic Provisions. I have been to Olympic Provisions in Portland and they are the real deal when it comes to all things cured meats. Trust me, get it. We have also had various pickles and they were pretty good as well. I would also recommend the baked clam to start, it's top notch. Salty, briny, delicious. I'm slowly making my way through the menu so I will have more insight later. The Mac and Cheese does sound delicious! The menu here is tight and to the point. Nothing crazy but everything is very well made. I have had two sammiches here. The roast beef, which was delicious and I have the turkey club special with Nduja aioli. (Nduja is spreadable pork. Yes, I said spreadable pork. It's literally pork butter. Now let that marinate in your noggin.) Both sammiches were spectacular and well made right down to the bread. It came with old bay chips or your choice of another side like pasta salad. Overall this is my new go to spot. Love the food, love the service, love the vibe. Great spot in Fells. Definitely give It a go. Hopefully they can extend their hours in the future, they are currently closed on Sunday's because they only have a six day liquor license.

Owner's/Management transplanted from One Eyed Mikes - can't go wrong here. They pride themselves on great customer service as well as high end food and drinks at a great price. Beer (4.5 stars) Always a great rotating craft beer list on tap. We've had Brewer's Art Resurrection, Southern Tier Pumpking, Union Duck Pin to name a few. My only wish is that they had a bigger tap list. Pickle Platter (4 stars) I love pickled anything - savory sour is so yummy in creative pickles such as green beans, pearl onions, and peppers with different herb concoctions. My hubby isn't really into them, but I really like them. Don't dismiss the limited menu. These are some of the best sandwiches I've ever (yes, EVER) had: 1) Smoked Pork Loin sandwich with broccoli rabe (5 stars) - Fresh French bread filled with a generous amount of sliced pork loin - so juicy and soft that I could see the flavorful moisture when I compressed the sandwich gently with my fingers. The cheesey rabe loaded with garlic complimented the mild pork flavor perfectly. (Note, this sandwich is different than the famous Philly pork and broccoli rabe sandwich but just as good) 2) Roast Beef Sandwich (5 stars) - Crunchy bread roll surrounds pink slices of roast beef, cheese and a nice touch of horseradish. Dip this wonderful sandwich in the onion-y au jus. Au jahhh. 3) Pastrami sandwich (3.5 stars) - nice flavor and satisfies... just not as good as two above. Lobo is still new and I have a feeling, they'll continue to grow their menu options and get even better and better.

Got the Asian banh mi sandwich. The carrots weren't pickled enough. The radish wasn't picked enough. The sauce they used was like the spicy mayo put on top of spicy sushi. They call it a banh mi sandwich but it's not.

Let me break it down to you. There's seafood, meats and cheeses galore, sandwiches for everyone, and some of the best crafted cocktails with big ol' ice spheres this side of the city. You've got your friendly, knowledgeable staff. It's never too crowded or too empty. A perfect date night experience or a small get together. Lobo is a hip little joint that turned out to be a great addition to the hood. Lobo definitely has me howlin'.

Fun, low-key, relaxing restaurant bar. The cocktails are amazing and affordable, especially in comparison to other places that sell similar drinks. If you are a fan of craft cocktails, this is the place to go. I tried the Lobo Old Fashioned (very good!!) and Lobo Sour (also very good) and I am not even really a whiskey type girl. I was not a huge fan of the Pisco Sour (which I have had before in Peru and other places and I have liked) because it had a soap like taste. I went with two other friends and we shared the pickle platter, clams, frisee and fennel salad, and the arugula salad- all solid choices. If you like pickled veggies, definitely recommend the platter. I got the smoked pork loin sandwich and it was delicious. My friends concur that this was the favorite sandwich of the ones that we ordered. My friend ordered the Asian pork which was supposed to be like a banh mi type style but it didn't really hit the spot. Having grown up in Ca, I am a bit more pickier about my banh mi sandwiches. I think this might be one of my new favorite go-to joints in Canton/Fell's. Great addition to Baltimore restaurants.

The drinks and food are just as great as the atmosphere-- as evidenced by the fact that they have been busy since they opened. But the staff is more than happy to accommodate-- offering you seats at the bar or a table as soon as one opens up. We stopped in for drinks and an appetizer before heading out to dinner, but we will definitely be back for a meal soon. I had the Pisco (something) and my date had a beer cocktail. I loved my drink-- it was the perfect start to the evening. My date said his beer cocktail was just alright. We shared an appetizer of mussels, and we LOVED this. The portion size was perfect for two people and I will absolutely get it again. Usually I opt for marinara sauce because any type of white or white wine sauce is too garlicky, but that was not the case here. The mussels had some type of fennel surrounding them and while I am not usually a big fan of fennel either, the flavor was just so on point, that both my date and myself couldn't help but devour ALL of it. There was nothing left to eat at the end. I'll be back for some more mussels...and to try some other cocktails on the menu (along with an entree).

FOOD: We ordered the oysters, arugala salad, and prosciutto sandwich. We didn't really test the menu, so I feel I can't comment adequately All our food was pretty good. I mean you can't mess up an oyster, the arugula salad was literally just arugula but the oven roasted tomatoes were a step up, and my friend liked his sandwich *but he will eat anything with ham. The food did come out in a reasonable time, however, the place was not full so that should be the case. We ordered bottled drinks, so that was not hard either. They had an extensive drink menu. AMBIANCE: local bar but more upscale - it was actually the perfect mix between restaurant and casual bar SERVICE: Service was appropriately attentive. RECOMMEND: Well, I didn't really try the food or drinks, but I would recommend this place because it was really relaxed, nice people, easy for us to get seated even on a Friday night, not too loud. RETURN: I think I might just take out some food to try and update my rating. I don't really have friends to eat out with in restaurants.

Jamie and Mike have done another great job (also visit One-Eyed Mikes on Bond St.) with this exceptionally well-priced and inventive menu. Very warm and congenial neighborhood gathering spot. Sandwiches are excellent, as are sides but make sure you try the house made pickle sampler plate.

Lobo is my favorite bar in Baltimore. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. I'm generally a craft cocktail drinker, but I recently tried their Mai Tai and it was amazing. You won't find another bar that does it better. Service here is second to none and I enjoy each visit more than the last. Go to Lobo!

Had the pleasure of eating and drinking at Lobo Friday night. When my friends and I first arrived, we almost left immediately. The place smells terrible. I think it's relating to the live mussles at the mussels bar. We decided we would each get a drink prior to leaving and while we sat at the bar, Mo, the bartender, was so friendly that we decided to order some oysters. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and soon we no longer noticed a scent- we were now one with Lobo. We ordered the chef board (combination of breads meats cheeses pickles and mustard) and the Italian Sandwich. Everything we ordered was very tasty and hit the spot. Overall, we really enjoyed Lobo because of the extremely friendly service, great tasting food and vibrant atmosphere. The prices for premium cocktails were about $9/drink and food between $10-20; on par with the competition. Definitely swing in here to get something different from the neighboring restaurants.

Went out for a double date with my husband and friends to lobo and they did not disappoint. We were greeted immediately and the service was stellar from the moment we walked through the doors and until we left. The food was delicious, the servers knew and described all menu items perfectly. The manager was on the floor and working the room during dinner service and seemed to genuinely want to be sure that all tables were happy and had everything they needed. It felt like true hospitality. I look forward to returning soon.

Most of the dishes are great! The Mai tai and sangria on happy hour are awesome. Love the chefs board too. The ceviche was lacking some flavor. Could've used some more lime. Other than that I really hope this place stays around. Nice addition to the area!

Lobo has the best tuna tartare in town! If that's a favorite of yours you HAVE to try it there. I'm a big appetizer fan and they have lots of good ones and the service is fantastic.

Husband and I went here on Saturday night for a late-ish dinner and drinks and have now moved this nice, neighborhoody spot to the top of our "go-to" list. The restaurant has a warm, laid-back and friendly vibe. We sat right by the open chef board station and even had some friendly banter with the guys slicing the delicious meats and cheeses that we gorged on soon after. Everything is fresh and flavorful, and we enjoyed getting a mix of a lot of items. The sauces for the oysters were fantastic (I almost order more oysters to use up more of the mignonettes!). The bread on the sandwich was killer. Again - a new favorite. Can't wait to an excuse to go back!

If you have more than 4 people dining, don't waste your time here. They don't take reservations. We had a party of 6 and waited 1 1/2 hours on a Friday evening. We weren't informed it would take that long. We watched almost every table turn over. The layout of the restaurant isn't ideal for groups. The food and service was good, but not great. The prices are very reasonable. The cheese burger tartare was delicious as well as the cheese and charcuterie selection. They have a nice variety of beers, wine and cocktails. Dinner was fun, but not worth the wait.

Had been wanting to try this place for while, finally did with my amiga. We split the clams and the salted cod dip. Food...'twas okay, nothing to chirp home about. Was actually sad the bread seemed stale/dry but not quite the bruschetta-dry, but just dry. Drinks were good, and they carry Stillwater and Boulevard which is nice. There's even a raw bar in the back! Will have to check it out again. Mebbe they're still ironing out ze kinks! Service was amazing though! Horas of happy...from 4-7!

Went in on a late Wednesday night (~11pm?) and am very happy we did. I ordered a stuffed clam appetizer, a club sandwich, and a sazerac. All were very good. I actually had half of the sandwich the next morning as leftovers and it was still super good. The food was flavorful and not greasy (one of my big pet peeves). I especially hate touching sandwiches with butter on the outside of the bread and don't really much like the taste either. The Lobo just dry toasted the bread and the texture that way was perfect. At one point, a guy came over to our table who was pretty drunk. He passed out joke business cards and was really friendly, just making conversation. A few minutes later, he was gesturing and knocked a glass of water on my boyfriend. The staff quickly whisked him away (looked like he was a regular), apologized a bunch, cleaned up the mess, and comped our appetizer. They were so efficient and nice that the spilled water was no biggie. Overall, food and service were superb, and the boyfriend and I will be back.

In a snapshot: great service, delicious drinks at great HH prices, solid oyster prices, avoid the assorted pickle tray. Went to Lobo last night for HH. The place was packed, but service stood up to the challenge ad my friend and I were served promptly. Had two glasses of Grenache for $4 each. The wine was delicious and it was such a good deal. Also had amazing oyster specials ($2 for 2 oysters). Had 6 from PEI. They were ok, but not at all as tasty as what you would have found at Dylan's Oyster Cellar. Still a fabulous deal. Only knock is the assorted pickle tray. I LOVE pickles, pickled okra...almost anything pickled. This was GROSS. I do not want to eat whole pearl onions or pickles with tons of cloves or cauliflower with a bizarre anise after flavor. I will be back, but I will def stay away from the pickle appetizer.

I like the place, I really do but I have the say the mac n cheese was the driest mac n cheese I have ever had. It was like "cheese flavored" noodles with no cheese or sauce and a ton of bread crumbs. Sorry, just not good.

Been here a dozen or so times now and have never been disappointed. Chefs board is always great and the specials of the night are creative and delicious. Small, but great, selection of oysters. Beer, wine, and cocktails are on point and a friendly staff that always makes you feel welcomed.

Great first exp at Lobo...good oyster selection...flight was very good...all mild so suggest adding a more briny option in the flight...paninni sandwich was very good...pickle platter was good...very mild...this may warrant a bit more salt when pickling imo...good selection of brews...good service...overall very nice :)

Nice new restaurant with an eclectic menu...seafood, sandwiches, appetizers...we ordered a variety of starters for the table and then some entrees...I had mussels which were delicious. The scallop cerviche was also delicious. Seems like really good quality food served in interesting ways... Chef's plate was a nice combination of dried meats and cheeses with several condiments to go with it. All explained by the server. Casual, nice place. Service was really good too. Recommend it.
