I like their food a lot and love that they will deliver to our office. Decent prices and all the rolls you could want.

Very disappointing. In years past, Bertucci's could be relied upon by me as a go-to when nothing else familiar was in sight. On this visit, our pizza order was screwed up, the pizza that came was soggy, my wife's sangria was red, not the white she ordered, and the order took forever to arrive. I may come back to this location in a year or two, but not before they've had a chance to get in the habit of training their people properly. One mistake is common and easily forgivable, two is uncommon but understandable, three PLUS slowness is unacceptable. I'm not asking for Michelin five-star food and service, just basic competence. Avoid this location in the near future.

Bertuccis is the best, always! Consistently excellent quality and high standards. I am a longtime pizza snob and I've tried all other pizza places in the area and nobody makes it better than Bertuccis! Yummm!

Attended a luncheon today for a co-worker. I've been here several times. Everytime the food has been very good. I would have 5 stared, however, they time to get our meal was a tad slow. That also could be because the size of our party. It's a "go back" for me.

Best brick oven pizza anywhere. Ordered carry out from the bar. Military discount is 15% which is awesome. Their wings are also really good.!

They have a first responder 15% discount which is a big plus. Wood-fired pizza. Asked the server for his recommendation on an appetizer and he was spot on. I can have spinach artichoke dip anytime but this mozzarella fritta was different and tasty. The marinara was exceptional. I asked him again for a recommendation between two entrees when I couldn't decide and I laughed and asked him if he'd ever even had eggplant and he admitted that no he had not. He was personable and gave us excellent service. I hope he tries the eggplant; it is excellent! My husband had a calzone and was pleased. And the rolls? He apologized that they were just cooking up a new batch (we had come in early) and they were delish even without any butter but rather a dipping sauce that was most excellent. Great meal - great service!

Bread and salad were good. My spaghetti had no sauce ... I had to ask for more. Boyfriend got pepperoni pizza and the sauce was bad and it was burnt. We won't be back.

Wood fire brick oven pizza. Excellent. Probably the best pizza around in this area. Consistently good. Don't sleep on this one, give the "Sporkie" a try. Tomato sauce, ricotta cheese and sausage.

Always a surefire good meal. The parking is ample, which in the area can often be a deciding factor with whether to go somewhere or not. It actually shares a wall with Outback Steakhouse so if the parking lot looks crowded rest assured that at least half of it is at Outback. The place is also huge with a main dining room, a bar and two additional dining areas behind that. The food is prepared nicely, with a large portions and a good variety of Italian American fair. As a previous user mentioned their will give you a free salad along with unlimited rolls (which are addictive) with any lunch order. Much of their food is cooked in their woodfire oven which adds a nice flavor to things like pizza and some of their baked pasta dishes. Happy hour is decent and runs from 4pm-7pm and includes drink specials and $3 flatbread pizza's which make a sizable snack for the money. Second what Chelsea said, Paul is the man. He always recognizes us and is an all around great waiter who will spend the time to shoot the breeze (usually about movies and comics because I'm a nerd). Oh and 15% military/police/fire discount for those that it applies to.

Quality in the menu and the cooking has declined over the past couple of years... The menu selections have gotten worse with newer updated menus. Really used to love the filet that came with grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Salads have been changed to be less tasty as well. Not sure of why things on the menu changed, it's almost like they've made things simpler to suit a lesser quality cook staff. I know that's an assumption, but the menu and quality isn't where it was when we started eating there. Tonight we got an order of Alfredo that had about a tablespoon of sauce on it. Asked for a grilled chicken salad and asked them to 86 the blue cheese and when I got it home it was covered with blue cheese. Go figure. Even the carry out containers have gotten cheaper in quality. 'Bout the only things that has been consistent are the rolls....

Pleh. I would not go back. Strange set up. they have a causal dining room and then a regular dining room. I was not sure what that was all about, but I guess if you had a big party you can reserve one? I am not entirely sure. The food was mediocre, and the pictures on the menu is NOT how the food really looks. The dough is simple and boring. The fillings were meh. The food was just bland. Gus loved the bread they served prior to meal but it was just dough after dough meal. The service was not to write home about either. The waitress came, threw us our menus and ran off in a huff. She eventually came back and got our order but was not very attentive. I was not impressed. When the food came it was just whatever, so I did request to remove the appetizer because we did not even eat it. Oh well... I know why we never went here before, and we probably will not go hear again. I am glad other people like it and keep it in business but there is better Italian to be had.

I enjoyed my meal here. My sister is a huge fan of their pizza and waxed poetic about it for months. It is pretty good and the other dishes I tried were good too. I think it is a fun bonus that they hand out balls of dough for the kids to play with. I know my daughter gets bored with the crayons pretty quickly (and she thinks the yellow one is broken) so this is a nice change.

As we were driving around and scoping out our possibilities, we stumbled upon Bertucci's, which was tucked away in a strip-mall parking lot. My dad said he'd been to a Bertucci's in Atlanta and was confident we could get some good pizza here, so we decided to give it a shot. As I've done with quite a few restaurants I've reviewed, I'll give Dad props on this choice. The dining area was huge. One side of the restaurant seemed to be a bar, while the other side was a large dining area where most tables had views of the open kitchen and brick ovens. It's a step up from the local pizza/sports bar/pub, and had more of a P.F. Chang's/Macaroni Grill/Brio feel. Nice, but casual. Although the dining area was large, it was proportionate and most of the tables were being used. Also, the restaurant had an adequate staff to cover all the tables and provide quality service. Our waiter was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with our orders. I was hoping for some great food, especially pizza, and Bertucci's fit the bill. We ordered a couple different pizzas - a large Ultimate Bertucci and a small Stella. The Ultimate Bertucci is for meat lovers with the pie being divided into four corners, each of which is covered with a different meat topping - chicken, sausage, ham, and meatballs. It was delicious. The toppings were great (especially the meatballs & sausage) and the crust had excellent crispiness from being cooked in the brick oven. The Stella was our vegetarian pie, with toppings of mushrooms, eggplants, peppers, & basil. It was also good, but wasn't nearly as popular as the Ultimate Bertucci. The large was huge and could comfortably feed three people, if not four. If you're not in the mood for pizza, Bertucci's offers a number of other Italian dishes - pasta, salads, sandwiches, calzones, etc. Along with the pizzas, Bertucci's also serves fresh rolls to your table before the meal. The rolls were hot and had a great crust and were served with a dish of olive oil and italian seasonings for dipping. If I hadn't had such a craving for pizza, I would have feasted on the rolls. Truth be told, I feasted on the rolls as well as the pizza. Shameless. While the price was more than what you'd pay at Little Caesar's or the other major chains, it's not a bad deal. Most large pizzas are around $18, which isn't bad if it's feeding 3-4 people. And don't forget about the pre-meal rolls! The salads and other entrees appeared to range anywhere from $7-$16. I'd say the value is similar to Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, and other similar Italian restaurants. Overall, I came away very impressed and know where I can get my pizza fix in Annapolis.

Ok, let's face it.... I love food. This place was a shot in the dark. We are not from the area and we're just looking for a nice place to eat a dinner and Sammy's delivered! Awesome food, the decor was great and it was just a great place over all. We intended to go to another place, but it was they were closed, passed by Sammy's on the way to another restaurant. We are glad that we stopped and would recommend this place to anyone who likes true Italian food. Sorry no pics but it was too good to stop and take a pics. I have to say we had linguini and clam white wine sauce and Grandma pizza.... Reminded us of our trip to Rome and Naples. That authentic; PEOPLE!No, kidding.... My wife is a tiramisu snob, said it was the best she has had in a long. You people of Annapolis are extremely lucky to have such a gem in your back yard!

My experience was middle of the road. The food was good, but I still prefer the flavors at Brio and Carrabbas better. Ultimately, Bertucci's is an ok choice if you can't get in to the Outback next door (which is how I ended up there.) I'm taking away 1 star because our waiter did not remove any of our dishes throughout the entire meal, even though we had piled them up on the side of the table with our trash. 1 additional star is gone because this place is great at nickel and diming you. Ordered the new guacamole appetizer and on the menu it has printed that extra chips would cost almost $2 more. That pretty much shows that Bertucci's knows that people will ask for more and, as expected, when we got the guac, it was sorely lacking chips. Also, did your pasta not come out how you enjoy it and you require a bit more sauce? Reach in to your pocket for an extra $1. C'mon guys, try to get me to come back instead of trying to give me reasons to stay away.

We go there fairly frequently because it's convienent, inexpensive, reliable and the kids like it. i find the service to be consistently warm and friendly. The management understands that they aren't in the business of delivery a gourmet experience, and they are good at what they do. That's why the place is usually full with families. The entrees are large and of good quality. It's not fancy or fanntatsic, but it's a good meal for the price. I would say that the one exception is the pizza. They make a really outstanding wood fired pizza. Great for takeout. We signed up for their "club" and get occasional coupons by email, which we use and appreciate.

Ordered a small take-out order for lunch and was told that our food would be ready within 10 min. I showed up 15 min later and proceeded to wait another 40 to get my food. It became clear, because of the cold calzones that we received that we really just waited that whole time for someone to pour some soup in a cup and hand us our order. The worst part here is that the staff really didn't seem to care. No apology no offer to get us to make it right with a discount or anything. The restaurant was 1/4 full so they weren't even busy enough to make that a valid excuse. The poor service shows a restaurant that has real management issues. I even contacted corporate group and never received a response beyond the standard "thank you" form auto response with a $5 off coupon if I spent $25 or more. It's a shame, we used to go here a couple of times a month with my office getting atleast 10 pizzas every two weeks for our pizza Fridays. Probably never again.

We only had the pizza so I can't comment on the rest of the menu. It was fabulous! One of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust was perfect and best of all, the sauce was excellent. Usually, I find most pizza sauces too sweet. The toppings were sausage, pepperoni, onions and green peppers and they were piled high. At some places, you can hardly find the toppings. A server can usually make or break your whole experience but we had no worries with Jimmy. He was excellent. The only tiny minus is where our table was located...not in the main dining room which I wasn't thrilled about. We will definitely be back to try out other things.

Had their LOBSTER AND SHRIMP RISOTTO...and was extremely pleased that there was seafood in every bite! Luscious hunks of lobster and perfectly cooked shrimp. The risotto included fresh tomatoes and artichokes and asparagus. I would definitely order this again! The best part was the tartness from the capers in the sauce, delicious...

As a fan of Italian food, this is my favorite restaurant in the area. The food and service are good, and the chicken gratinati has never steered me wrong. The food is priced a bit too high for daily dining, however.

I'm giving this place 2 stars because the product bertuccis delivers is a combination of great ingredients and excellent preparation. Unfortunately all I got today is great ingredients and a very hasty preparation, at best. But 2 stars for great ingredients. I ordered my food on a Thursday midday. When I came in to pick up my food I found a few tables occupied but there restaurant was not busy by any means. To start with, ny pizza was undercooked. The dough was not all the way cooked in the center and there was no toasting of the crust that makes it crusty. You could also tell it was undercooked because the cheese still looked like pieces of cheese that hadn't melted together and the pizza itself wasn't even hot when I opened the box. In addition, my portabella mushrooms were not pre-cooked, as they normally are. They came as oversized slimy and plump from not being cooked down beforehand. I've ordered portabellas on a pizza many times from many Bertuccis but these were unique to themselves in a bad way. In addition, more than a third of the pizza was missing cheese, and the crusts were extremely large. Now I know that's a matter of personal preference, but 1/2 of 2 of the slices were all crust...on a large pizza! On top of that 2 slices were just sauce but no cheese (I didn't order a Margherita pizza). I wish I could upload a photo of my pizza because it looks like slop. It looks like there was no care in the preparation of the pizza or attention to how long it needs to cook. I'm very disappointed because if I wanted a pizza made with zero care I could've paid much less for it elsewhere. I came to Bertuccis because I thought they paid attention to detail....I guess I was wrong. I went from being extremely excited to treat myself to a Bertuccis pizza and ended up saddened and wondering if I'll ever eat there again.

This Bertucci's location is always reliably good. You rarely have to wait too long (not due to lack of customers), and I haven't had anything to date that I didn't enjoy. The service is consistent and they have a manager on site who looks like he's taking good care of the place.

I did call-ahead seating the other night for 15 people. When we arrived they told us it would be a few minutes for the tables to be cleaned. We ended up waiting 40 minutes to be seated while little effort was made to clean and prep the tables they pointed out we would be sitting at. The server was pretty rude when we asked for bread, demanding that we make a choice between bread or taking our orders. After all that, the food was bland. This place is off my future list.

I've been to this Bertucci's location zillions of times. I've dined in and called my order in for carry-out and I'm always pleased with the end result. Bertucci's specializes in brick oven style pizza and other Italian dishes. I usually always order the Silano pizza which has sliced chicken and broccoli in a lemon pepper cream sauce with mozzarella cheese. It's scrumptious! They have several other options for specialty pizzas or if you so desire, you can design your own pizza. Lunch is the best because salads come with your order free of charge. You get a endless bowl of rolls to dip in an olive oil mixture and plenty of drinks are offered. I don't usually venture out and get any of the other dishes, but the most recent time I went, I decided to order the lasagna. It was pretty good. It was definitely a large portion because I had to take most of it home for the next day. The sangria is also a highlight. Try a glass or get the pitcher...beleive me, you can handle it! It has a taste of cinnamon and something about it is very soothing. The servers here are always helpful and pleasant. I never have to wait long for a table and the restaurant itself, restrooms and bar area are always nice and tidy. The only issue that bothers me is when I get my pizza it's pipping hot and after I eat my first slice of pizza the rest of it is ice cold. Never understood why that happens. Any who, I enjoy this restaurant and I can always count of having a delicious meal here when I come.

We have been enjoying this restaurant for well over 10 years but we're sorely disappointed with terrible service, poor quality food and a menu that has been badly watered down. The antipasto was a long time favorite but is now a shadow of its former self. Deli ham has replaced the proscuto, no olives, terrible artichoke hearts, bread as a filler to replace the once full plate of goodies. Our food showed no signs of a skilled cook. Bland over salted and generally unimpressive. Service was poor from the host who didn't speak to us to the server who had to be asked to bring parmesan... In an Italian restaurant! Clearly the corporate edicts have hurt what used to be a great restaurant. Very disappointing to have to cross an old favorite off of our list.

If in the area, they have great pizza. I usually enjoy all the food here. All the soups and salads are very good. Recently had the shrimp scampi, would have been good but they were a little. (Lot) over zealous with the garlic. Almost uneatable. Will still go back though

Sadly, rules say I must give this at least one star. My preference is no stars. We arrived to find a few men hanging around a desk in the corner by the door and asked for a table. I got told to see the greeter who ran to her plectern and said hello. She was not waiting there so it was confusing, with all these people standing there, to decide who we should speak to. We were shown to our table and our waitress was Stephanie. I ordered a chicken dish that came with asparagus, mushrooms, roast potatoes and thick gravy. It came with a bowl of soup. I was given a list of soups and chose minestrone. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Stephanie did not write this down. We were brought some bread and oil which was lovely. My soup, the prawn chowder, was cold. (Did you spot the error? Wrong soup too!!). Stephanie was nowhere to be seen so we asked another waiter who mumbled something about sorting it out and ran off. Stephanie came back, apologised and said she would get me the correct soup. She did not take the other one away. She came back with my minestrone, which was warm at best. I had to give her the other soup to take away, as she didn't go to take it herself. Main courses arrived. My chicken was COLD, the vegetables were too and the gravy - gross. Brown salty and THICK. My husband's meatballs and spaghetti were also COLD. Now when I say cold, I mean it. Cold! Stephanie said she would get the manager who came over and apologised saying he would have the meals cooked from scratch for us. By this time, we were so fed up, we had decided to just leave and told the manager this. The manager didn't know what to do with himself. He just was shocked and didn't try to persuade us to stay at all, or take some money from the bill for example. We will not, under any circumstance, be going back. (I'm not sure if you got that by my review or not.....) Take my advice: go somewhere else.

Bertucci's has changed their menu and it is outstanding! We love their excellent range of delcious dishes. We now go there about once a month, and have always been delighted. We have the roasted vegetables every time because they are so unique, healthy, and tasty. If we have a group we usually start with the delicious roasted artichoke fonduta on the crunchy flatbread. Seafood di mare is one of our favorites, as it is full of very fresh tasting scollops, mussels, shrimp, and fish in a delicous tomato broth. When we have room, we love to finish with their apple cranberry tart. This is one of our favorite restaurants to take guests, wonderful food, great service, at reasonable prices.

On our way back from Rehoboth to DC we stopped for lunch here Tuesday. Especially for a chain, the food is not bad at all. I habitually order the chicken broccoli with penne and white wine sauce. Although the unlimited free salad is decent and the unlimited rolls are very tasty, I would recommend not having more than one bowl and basket so you don't fill up before your main course comes. Although our server gave us very professional and excellent service, the kitchen was a little off. It took a very long time to get our main meal. I am talking twenty or thirty minutes after we got the bread and salad. Good thing we weren't in a hurry. I expect chains with standardized menus to be a little quicker about getting two pasta dishes out. I think they can do better with this. Bottom line: I like the food and service here but I wouldn't expect your meal to come out quickly or recommend this place if you are in a hurry.

Stopped in for lunch on a holiday Monday with my wife. Bertucci's specialty is brick-oven pizza, so that's what I got, and as usual, it was excellent. Crunchy crust with a chewy center, a nice garlicky red sauce, and mozzarella and ricotta cheeses with sweet sausage on the one I got. My wife had a roasted vegetable plate, including roasted garlic, bell pepper, zucchini, 'shrooms, broccoli, tomato-basil (like a bruschetta topping) mix, eggplant, and artichoke hearts. Side salads with a yummy house Italian dressing were included, as were fresh sourdough rolls and either olive oil and pesto, or butter. All that and two iced teas, $28 including tip. Good price for the quality. I really like the atmosphere, with the wood stove and large brick oven providing great visuals, too. Our waitress was very nice, very attentive, keeping the drinks full and the condiments of choice coming. I'd definitely come back.

There were 12 people in our party for dinner. Seven out of the 12 meals were horrible and each meal was different. I ordered the Verde pizza. The dough was solid and tomatoes and cheese were dried solid. My son had chicken with spaghetti. He had to send the chicken back because it was black in all sides. We were surprised it was even brought to our table. My other two kids had flavorless spaghetti. I have never had a 13 year old say their spaghetti was not good - this was a first. My friend had an asiago pizza with portobello mushrooms. They substituted the portabellos with caps and his crust and cheese was also hard. Both of us had one slice of the pizza and could not eat any more. Our waitress did not ask us why we did not wang to take it to go. The service was ok and the highlight of the meal was the bread before the meal. It was excellent. I would rate service ok and the food awful. This is the 2nd time I have tried this place and we have had similar experiences. I will not go back.

My wife and I really enjoy this Italian restaurant. The service is always great, and the food-- well, it's just plain delicious. For example, the Cod Al Forno is a wonderful combination of noodles, cod and potatoes baked with a light seasoning and it is terrific. The lobster ravioli is amazingly delicious with ravioli that is al dente and stuffed with lobster, seasoning and mozzarella and then draped in a lobster cream sauce with chucks of lobster claw-- just delicious. The only reason we can't give the place a 5 of 5 is because of the noise, on a busy night you can barely hear anyone at your table talk in a voice softer than a loud bellow. The wait service is almost always friendly and efficient. Definitely a repeat for delicious Italian food at reasonable prices.

oh my. we arrived at 930 on a week night, ready to order. we were treated like garbage. our waitress stomped around, yelled at the man making our pizza and spoke to us like children (a sarcastic waitress is such a blessing)... she was in such a rush to get us out, she burned her hand getting our rolls and then mumbled profanities at the oven. the food was fine but next time I want pizza I'll call papa johns. at least the delivery guy smiles at me.

I'm from the left coast and try to make a stop at Bertucci's whenever I'm out here in Maryland. The pizza has always been great. The service has always been good too. A special "Thank You" to the manager who was on yesterday. I really appreciated your help in finding a special gift for my friend!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
