my mother-and-law and i went for lunch at teresa's yesterday after a round of golf. overall the food was pretty good, but the service was very slow. our waitress took our order pretty soon after we sat down and then asked if we wanted bread, which we did. we each ordered a salad, and a side of cole slaw. about 20-25 minutes later, the waitress finally came back over and asked if we wanted bread, and at this point we really did. our salads did not end up coming out of the kitchen until almost 45 minutes after we sat down, which felt like a very long time for a lunch order. our waitress didn't seem particularly thrilled to be there or be serving us, but everything did arrive as we ordered it. once the food did arrive, we were a lot happier. i got the greek salad with grilled shrimp. there was a ton of feta cheese, as well as kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. i also liked the zinfandel dressing that i got on the side, as it was very light. i also really enjoyed the coleslaw since it was a large portion and very, very light on the mayo. it ended up being a very nice lunch that hit the spot, but i wish we hadn't had to wait quite so long for our food to arrive.

I always regret that I don't think to go here more often! Great atmosphere and the meal has yet to disappoint. Love the sangria, bruschetta and every fish plate I've had. Location is great as well - one of my favorite local spots to go with a group. Looking forward to checking out their new function hall.

This place is really very nice. The entire staff is friendly and competent, and the location is ideal. But it's the food the stands out. It's simply awesome! The only draw back to Teresa's is the atmosphere and decor. The tile floors and lack of wall hangings make every little sound reverberate through the place. It's almost unbearable when the place is full to capacity. My favorites are the chicken parm and the milano.

Pizza. Just get the pizza it's amazing. Very friendly staff that actually remember you on the phone and in person. Never eat the other food because it's just Italian and I'm kinda sick of Italian eateries in general. Again. Pizza. Do it.

Teresa's is great for a quick take-out sandwich during lunch time. Ordered takeout this evening and brought it back home. Ordered Chicken Piccata with Linguine and when I got all the way the home I realized it was Chicken Parmesan with Linguine. Called them and they said they would make the right dish. When I walked in, they asked if I brought the wrong dish back..I said, no, I didn't think you would need it, just to throw it away. I only had to wait a few minutes. The guy behind the counter said "Here"...never apologized for the mistake, never offered a free dessert or anything for the inconvenience of coming all the way back to the restaurant for the food I ordered the first time. Food was good, service needs a LOT of work. Just make the customer feel like you care, that's all it takes...such common sense but the management here this night really lacked it.

Not bad - but not great. The place is clean and bright. The food was acceptable but nothing spectacular - and not authentic. The oddest thing was service. The waitresses not only serve, but clean the tables, leaving cleaning supplies in clear view on the dirty tables. Having the table next to me sprayed while trying to eat was very off-putting.

I think perhaps the problem with this place was that it was over-hyped. People seem to absolutely rave about Teresa's, but almost everything about my experience there was lackluster. The food was ok, but nothing special. We got the appetizer sampler, all of which I'm fairly certain came frozen, but it was at least cooked decently enough that the calamari wasn't rubbery and that sort of thing. They give you a nice plate of seasoned olive oil with roasted garlic, it's a shame that the bread the include to dip it in is basically white sandwich bread, the kind that's mostly air with a tiny bit of ultra bleached flour, not texture or flavor to it. My husband had a pasta dish with pappardelle, and a big piece of chicken over top then sauce layered on. The pasta below the meat (which was most of it, it was a pretty giant piece of chicken) was completely un-sauced, so it was all glued together and mushy. If an Italian place can't cook and serve their pasta right, something is wrong. I ordered salmon and some vegetables, the waitress was fairly adamant that subbing the broccoli rabe from the side dishes list instead of the standard sides was just not going to happen, so I just had whatever their vegetable of the day was. The salmon was cooked well, and my dish was good over all once I salted it - definitely no salt involved in preparing either the veggies or the fish. The decor seems like it was all freshly redone, but the style is kind of dated and food court-chic. Lots of particle board with semi-fancy finishes, ornate goofy little metal stands that the pizza comes on so it's not on the table (getting them to sit nicely on the table seemed to be giving the waitresses some trouble), atrium ceiling, and not to be missed are the faux windows (backed with trash bags so you can't tell they're faux, of course) that have boxes of fake plants gathering dust up high, because fake ferns always elevate a space. At least it's all very clean, being so new. The space is huge, and that's not even including the separate martini bar and event space. It doesn't feel like most of it is used - there's a giant bar that extends into where they give you to-go orders, pretty awkward feeling. Our waitress was friendly, but seemed a little befuddled and not completely present. The order of events, like clearing appetizer plates before bringing entrees, was fairly muddled and not in the right order. Not amazing service, but I wouldn't specifically dock her either, she just wasn't really on it. I think we were perhaps led to believe this was a fancier restaurant than it is, as it was recommended as a place to go for our anniversary dinner out (which is what we did). Most of the people there were families with small children, the general atmosphere was t-shirt and shorts casual. This isn't specifically a bad or a good thing, it just wasn't what we thought we were walking in to.

Awful! I don't know what happened to this place. It use to be very good. We just returned from perhaps the worst meal I ever had. I ordered Veal Papa which is one of the favorites on the menu. The veal was so tough I couldn't even cut it. It was horrible. Teresa's use to be a great spot for casual dining. We have been away because the last few meals have not been up to par but we decided to give it another chance. Well this is the last chance. Not only was the veal awful but they have a fruit fly problem that really needs to be addressed. We were sitting at the bar as we have done in the past and the infestation of fruit flies was awful. There are too many great Italian restaurants around to waste money on this place. Now I know why there is no longer a wait there and it was very easy to walk right in and sit right down!

Great meal... questionable service.... These are always tough reviews but service is an important attribute of a dining experience. Having been here north of a dozen times over the years I really had no reservations when we stopped in. Promptly seated, excellent glass of wine, apptz and entree's were very good (as usual). However, the leftovers never made it from our plates to our home. Not sure what happened in the kitchen (as I can't get a response despite reaching out to them) but my pork chop was boxed up however none of the sides and HALF of a plate of Lobster Pappardelle simply never made it into a take-home container at all. Not sure who throws away 1/2 a dish after we asked to "Box it all up..." but #FailTeresa I have since reached out to mgt at Teresa's via Facebook and email as well as stopped in and was told "We are looking into it..." Well... it's been almost 2 weeks w/no resolution and over a week with no communication. Not the way to treat paying patrons IMO. I'll be going to Maggies Farm down the street until I'm presented w/an acceptable resolution... will be sure to update this review should I ever hear back from them.... UPDATE: 5/27 - Never heard back from them despite email, FB and going down in person... they were "researching" the incident. I guess that's Teresa's speak for "Don't care about customer service..." Won't be returning... plenty of other area restaurants who are respectful to clientele feedback and issues.

This was second and last time here. Was here when it first opened and ordered their special chicken parm which came out very dry, over cooked and hardly any sauce. This time ordered veal which was tough, chewy and difficult to cut. My server I guess was either new or just really inattentive? Too busy talking to other waitress. Another waiter Scott seemed to have more tables yet was on top of everything. The bar itself is too small to enjoy eating on, and it closed early. Mainly older crowd, too many good Italian rests around. Sorry, but gave 2 try's and will not be back.

Had lunch there recently, the food was very good! I wish i could say the same for the drink. The first drink she didnt know how to make so, took a stab at it needless to say it did not taste anything like it should have so i didnt drink it and asked for a stawberry marguerrita while the other lady i had lunch with got a regular one, mine looked like pink lemonade so i knew that was a bad sign right there!!! Lousy also....they could use some more qualified bartenders at least during the day from our experience.

I love the food here but I hesitate to go because the service is so unpredictable. One waitress I had was completely out of it. We were there for like two hours during lunch. Couldn't find a manager to talk to. I love the chicken with vodka sauce but you have to plan for a long meal - u just never know how long they will take. Here are some tips: hire some real waitresses. Train them. Keep them happy. Have managers present and available. Border cafe has a great waitstaff and great managers - take a lesson from them.

Awful. 45 minutes from order to meal. Veal burnt. Red sauce acidy and burnt. Large party. People finishing their meal while last meals being served. Never again.

It was rather busy when I went (40 minute wait for 2), however they offered "Self Seating", which is another way of saying, "the bar has available seats." (Which we opted for). Didn't have to wait too long for a waitress to come over. The mixed drinks were small, but strong. I ordered the Boneless Rib Eye, a generous portion, enough for 2 meals. They cooked it to a perfect medium-rare. Though there was a bit more fat/gristle than I would've expected. The garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic, as was the grilled asparagus. The mushroom gravy was a great addition. My mother ordered the Sea Scallops, which she enjoyed and said were cooked perfectly. I tried some of the risotto that came with her meal, and it was quite good. Price is higher than other Italian restaurants, though fitting. I'd go back, but order something different.

Just had lunch here and regret it now. Service was horrible. Waitress didn't know she had a table. The red sauce is not bad but the chicken parmigiana portion size is much smaller now than it was a year ago. The chicken tastes processed and rubbery. In fact as I'm driving home now I'm wondering if I'm going to be sick later. Big disappointment in this place as it was at one time pretty good.

I have always been a big fan of Teresa's. They have excellent drinks, service, and food. I always get the home made fuselli, delicious, with chicken parm. The chicken parm always melts in your mouth. They have excellent bread and dipping oil. I always get the wedge salad, which is always perfect. This place can get very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, so I recommend to get there early. One of my favorite italian restaurants, hands down. I have also had the pollo milano, very delicious, but am more a fan of the chicken parm.

Hmm....seeing some of the reviews here, makes me think we showed up on a "let's impress them" night. Anyways, the place was packed, as mentioned by others, but there were a few tables available, so there was no wait. Had the Calamari Fritto for an app. WOW! It was FAST and it was GOOD! Never got to the bottom of my drink (diet coke). Had the Pasta Carbonara for the entree. Again, WOW! Loaded up plate and it was very tasty! Added in some cracked pepper and a little parmesean cheese. The bread served is also very fresh and very good. Parking gets tight when busy.

Don't be fooled by the menu and pictures like i did. The service - pretty bad. Our waitress was frazzled and kept forgetting things. She noticed we didn't have bread plates and said she would be right back with some. She brought out bread, no plates, she brought out drinks, no plates, she brought out appetizers, no plates... By the time she came back with plates we had all given up waiting and had eaten what bread and appetizers we were going to eat. Then she took our orders and neglected to note how one person wanted their steak and brought it out perfectly rare which is not what she wanted. Another person had to ask for a drink menu because she forgot to give us one. The food - nothing to write home about. Some of it like the fried mozzarella and the ravioli tasted like it came out of the freezer. Most of the food was bland and unappetizing, and when we got it it was already getting cold. We've had better from our local take-out joints. The design - new place that feels old, drab walls and floors, horrible lighting that makes you feel like you're on display with no sence of intimacy. I suggested this as the restaurant to go for my son's birthday and I regret it 100%. We were a party of six and not one of us was pleased with any aspect of this place.

Don't come with a large party they"are not allowed"per the hostess by the owner to push tables together.so we sat and waited with empty table until the other large party finished their meal . We were only 7!

I have been going here whenever I am in the area since the placed opened. I usually stop in for lunch. The chicken cutlet, prosciutto, mozzarella sandwhich is great. Prices are in line for what they serve and their location.

This place is gignormous! I was quite impressed as this place was totally filled. Must of been close to 1000 people inside, so many rooms it was hard to count. We took a beeper, had a 90 minute wait, and ended up in the back bar getting a table for 4 in under 10. The kitchen must have been crankin. Here's why. We ordered drinks, appts, and dinner- appts came out in under 10 minutes- fresh & hot the soup, and sampler was piping hot and yummy. In 15 more minutes, dinner came out: Dinner was also very good, cooked perfectly, nice presentation, hot, and god sized portions. My Pollo Milan was very good. Huge cutlet and fresh pasta. I would definitely return for another try. My friends and I loved the food and service was attentive and spot on. Very impressed as this place was hopping and it must be quite a scene - to be a fly on the wall in there!

I hate giving bad reviews. I reserve using yelp to telling people what I have liked..... but! I have gone to this Teresa's half a dozen times over the years. It use to stand out for North Shore dining. The last two times I have gone I find the place overwhelmed with the volume of customers. It took almost an hour for appetizer (arancini to be exact). After this dinner took another 60 minutes. That's two hours from ordering. I always get the Pollo Milano (thanks to Dan Andelman) and it has become inconsistent. Seems like the weekend brings standards down. It's almost like going to a chain now, sorry to say. They have expanded and added a steak house, they call Prime. I will try it to see if the higher prices mean a return to details.

We were there on Saturday night and it was fairly busy but the wait for a table was not long. The wait for food was ridiculous. We ordered the Arancini (rice ball) appetizer listed as a "house favorite" on the menu. It took 40 minutes to arrive at our table. It was mediocre at best. My guess is that these are prepped well in advance and the rice turns into a starchy paste. The ground meat mixture inside was cooked beyond recognition and had a mealy teaxture. When we told the waitress our opinion she first asked if we had ever had Arancini. I told her that we had on many occassions and this was not a good example. Her reply was that it was very popular. She cleared the barley touched appetizer from the table and said our pizza would be right out. Fast forward 25 minutes and several reassurances from the waitress that our pizza would right out every time she ran by with nothing in hand. The pizza was served piping hot and did look good. We had the Prusciutto and Ricotta pizza. It was a decent pizza but nothing spectacular. The crust is the drawback. It is a thin Italian style pizza crust which I love. The problem is that it was dry as a bone and lacked any flavor. Another long wait for the bill. No discount for the uneaten appetizer. This place is way to big for the kitchen. It has several eating areas and does not have the ability to support all the diners. This is a food factory that serves food one tiny step in quality above Italian chains like Olive Garden or Carraba's.

I didn't want to write this but I felt that I had to. As my wife and I constantly watch the Phantom Gourmet we're always looking for a new place to try for dinner. Teresa's has been on my list now for 2 years. We finally got to go. Arrived on a Saturday night about 7:45 PM. There was a 30 minute wait which was fine. The hostess found us a table in their bar area which was fine. I thought that was very nice of her. We sat down and it took roughly 15 minutes till we were handed place settings and a drink order was taken. The drink finally arrived and we placed out order. Started with the Fried mozzarella and the Arrancini (Rice Ball). Fried mozzarella was good but $7 for the 2 little pieces that we received rubbed me the wrong way. The arrancini was cut open and split four ways. Everyone at the table agreed the center was ice cold. No luke or warm but stone cold. So we sent it back. About 15 minutes later it shows back up to us cut from us cutting it, smothered in sauce, and the crispy outside that came from the fryolater was now a rubbery tough texture. To me that shows someone used a microwave and ladles of sauce with the same old food. We sent that back. The waitress says she'll take it off the bill. Never offered to get us a new one. Then immediately our meals come out. My wife got the Chicken Milano she said it was really good, our others friends got Chicken Spinach plate which she said was OK at best. Next was the Frutti da mari fra diavlo. This plate is supposed to be spicy and lacked in the department. Not shocked with everything else so far. Then there was my meal. Veal papa. The veal was good but the fact that the whole bottom of it was very soggy due to the lack of experience working the line in the kitchen that didn't know to drain the Linguine. So my plate was a swimming pool of water and sauce. The waitress cleared the table and handed us the bill. After we paid her in cash and she had enough time to walk away count her tip. She walked back over to our table. She wanted to apologize for the rice ball incident pointing the blame at the kitchen stating they made her come back with the same one and she didn't want to. If she really didn't want to she would gotten her manager to make things right. That night I got home and as advertised on the Phantom Gourmet by Nick Yebba Sr. himself "If your not happy and satisfied I want to know about it." I was told he was out since it was a holiday weekend and he was on vacation. Best bet call on Tuesday around 11:00 AM. I called Tuesday and sure enough I got Mr. Yebba Sr. on this phone. He seemed very concerned and listened to everything I had to say and was very sincere (So I thought) about "wanting to take care of us." He said I've been off for several days can you give me a day or so to get back to you?" I said absolutely no problem. So a young woman gets on the phone and take down my name and phone #. Says Mr. Yebba will call you back. 1 week late I send an email. I get no response. 8 days later I call. Call was screened and I was told My yebba will call you right back. I said I've been waiting a week for a call back I'd rather just speak to him now. Well he's not available. Call back in an hour. So I call back. My Yebba is in meeting in the lounge area. Please call back. So I call back again now around 5:30 PM I'm told My Yebba is making a delivery for a catered order, but I see your name in the book and I will make sure he calls you back personally when he returns. Well still no call. I could have saved plenty of money and aggravation going somewhere else with much better food and service and people who really care about the food they serve. ***Update*** Called this morning 9-14-12 to get the same song and dance. Mr. Yebba is in a meeting after asking who was calling and putting me on hold for a minute or two. Apparently this place is all corporate business meetings and such since everytime you call the owner is in a meeting or as I was told today I'm calling at bad times? Really??? So I ask when would be a good time to call. the response. "I dont' know" The place is a joke. A young lady answers I ask for the owner and give my name and then a younger gentleman answers and says Mr. Yebba is in a meeting. Giving up on this place for good. So not worth it. ******IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE WITH 1/2 A STAR I WOULD. NOT THE PLACE TO GO.... MUCH BETTER PLACES OUT THERE. AT LEAST AT MY HOUSE I KNOW HOW TO DRAIN PASTA AND LOOK AT THAT I DON'T OWN A EATERY******

Surprised at the mixed reviews of Teresa's. I've only been a handful of times but I've never been disappointed. This past Saturday night was no exception. Yes, it was busy and we waited an hour for a seat when we were told 30 minutes, but that was fine, we just had some wine at the bar. The food did take a while to come out but it was worth it when it did. I ordered the apple gorgonzola salad and pollo milano with homemade fusilli, another friend had fusilli pomodoro and the other had the trio. All were happy with the meal (although my friend with the trio didn't LOVE the meatballs, but that's personal preference) and the large portions, especially since we were indulging in carbs for a half marathon the next day. The waitress was also very nice about timing the food I was ordering to take home to my boyfriend, it was ready to go when we were.

I had driven by Teresa's several times and decided to stop and have dinner with wife. She had the halibut which was good - not great - and I had the seafood risotto, which was much better. However, neither of our meals were spectacular. Service was great, but so many other good restaurants in the area that really are much better. Worth trying again in the future, mainly because it is so close to our home.

Spotted this place on the Phantom Gourmet, they won "The dish drive to" award for that episode. Let me tell you, best decision I've EVER made. This is my favorite place of all time. Every meal I've ordered from here has been second to none. The appetizer, entree, and dessert I most highly recommend are as follows; start off with the meat and cheese filled arancini balls (It's so big I did not know whether to eat it or go candlepin bowling with it). The Entree you HAVE to get is the Pollo Milano with the house made fusilli as the pasta, tastiest sauce you'll ever have. Their best dessert is the lava cake (in my opinion) but if you're craving some ice cream there is Richardson's Ice Cream across the street. They can get busy at time but the wait generally isn't too long and there is a ton of seating in the lounge area. My girlfriend and I always go here for every major event or even when we're bored we'll just say "Teresa's?" questioningly (that's how great this place is). The prices are quite affordable. Best value is probably their pizza (as good as any pizza place you've been to).

I love Teresa's and they have an awesome sandwich menu. Their best by far is the Chicken Prosciutto sandwich with mozzarella. I would order this sandwich all the time. It was a sandwich of the gods. Lately though, the chicken seems overcooked and greasy. It's breading is very dark and it isn't quite the same as it use to be. My hopes is that they will see this and change it back to the way it was.

I have always heard good reviews about Theresas Restaurant so when my husband's executive board decided to have their yearly dinner there I was excited. Unfortunately, when the day arrived I was not able to go but I was able to get take out. I also spoke to the others that ate dinner there. The general concensus was that the food was mediocre at best and they were not impressed at all. As a party of 10 they felt left out and waited way too long between courses. My take out was their Arancini and Brocoli Raber and both were barely edible. The rice in the Arancini was so overcooked it was like a an non - seasoned led weight that I was only able to eat 3 bites it was that bad. The broccoli rabi was so bitter it was inedible. I have ordered both items at other restaurants and with the comments from the diners and my impression of the food I would rate Theresas' lower than a one. Save your money.

Ok... dad's idea to come here.. so we're here at 2pm on a Sunday.. first up... Calamari app... obviously frozen.. Calamari should be tender, with a bit of a tug, but not rubbery... these were mushy, and mostly breading. our party of 6 (inc. 2 kids) ordered fusilli Bolognese, mixed grill, shrimp scampi pizza, chicken piccata, a cheeseburger, and the stuffed shells. I had the mixed grill, with a garden salad and the Tuscan veggies. The grilled chicken was done perfectly, but the sausage was a half sausage (the menu implies a complete "sausage"), and one of the 2 steak tips was burned (I ordered "medium" doneness). Veggies were good. I also tasted the scampi pizza... not bad, not great.. a bit on the soggy side, as the tip of the slice sagged, and way too much cheese. I was told the Bolognese appeared microwaved as it had hot and cold spots. The shells looked ok, as did the piccata and cheeseburger, but I didn't try any of those. The kids split a lava cake, of which I tasted a bit and seemed good. I doubt it was made onsite though. Honestly.. food was ok, nothing great, and no kids menu, so we had to spend $10+ on my kids dishes.. I would've given it 3 stars, but the prices were a quite high for the quality of the food we got... I expected a lot better. So I knocked it down a star.

Teresa's went through a face lift a while ago. It used to be order, sit, and they bring the food to you. Now they are a regular fine dining restaurant. They made the right decision, for sure! My go-to meal is Pollo Milano. A huge slab of pounded and breaded chicken over your choice of macaroni with a light tomato cream sauce. Holy CRAP I love that meal. The bruschetta is also very yummy. My parents and friends all love this place too. They often go for holiday gatherings. Also, I've attended a baby shower at one of their function halls. It was great! They were ready for us at the drop of a hat. The drinks are also very good. I've had a few martinis there and were Always happy with them. I suggest the Espresso Martini, if you're into that. So yummy. I would prefer a larger beer list, but it's also not a pub, so thats to be expected. Even the bathroom is nice! The place isnt old or anything, but they really keep it looking fresh and new. It can seem a bit like a cafeteria, the way the tables are set up. A little more privacy and mood lighting and the place might deter some folks, while attracting some others. Its a give and take. The only thing I have experienced more than once is the wait staff not checking on us for a long time. You can flag them down, but it sometimes feels like a taxi war. I'd give them a 4.75 if I could, but I'm rounding up because they DO have great food, drinks, kind staff, and nice atmosphere. Check the place out. You'll like it

I've been here twice in the last two months, and I was very satisfied both times. We first saw this place on Phantom Gourmet, but I now take their recommendations with a grain of salt, because what the Phantom says is great, I've found alright. However, after being here twice I would have to agree with the Phantom for once and say this place is great. You get an excellent meal for an great value. We ordered the Arancini, which was homemade, with a very nice sauce, and it was a large one, not some teenie tiny rice ball some places try to sell as an appetizer, it was really delicious. Pork Chops with Vinegar and it was truly excellent. I don't get pork chops all the time, but I saw a waiter bring one to a table, and the vinegar peppers complimented these monster pork chops so well it was excellent. My better half got the Chicken Milanese, which was simple and very good, just like something your grandmother would have made. We were still impressed with Nick going over to every table after they got their bill to make sure everything was okay. So when Nick came to our table I started talking to him and telling him that I was impressed that he really takes to his word as in the commercials on Phantom, and is there and wants to make sure everyone was satisfied. We started talking business, and you realize that this guy really cares about the restaurant, and cares more about providing a great dining experience for his customers. He really believes that when his customers are happy, they will tell more people. The second visit was three weeks ago, and we walked in on a Saturday night at 9:00, we had the artichoke cheese drip, nice and rich served with pita crisps. And the Calamari, which was flash fried just right (R.I. style with the peppers) served with an Asiago dipping sauce that complimented the tender calamari very well. (Personally I missed the bodies, and this gave me the inclination that they were frozen and not fresh, I mean where are the bodies...) For entrees I had the Boneless Rib Eye, that was cooked just as I asked, and was just a great cut of meat, asparagus was drizzled with a Provolone fondue that just dressed up the asparagus so much, and boy was it tasty. The twice baked potato was awesome, and my GF, could not get enough of the cheese pancetta filled goodness. I also ordered a side of Fusili Alfredo, (because I could not decide) and I'm glad I did, it was a very good Alfredo sauce, not this wanna be Alfredo that is all butter, and cream with a little bit of cheese for taste. This was a hearty rich Alfredo that was nice and heavy. Not as good as my brother's but still the best that I can remember out of any restaurant in years. Still again, Nick came over at the end of our meal and chatted with us again, and he remembered us, a real businessman, running a family business. This place is has a great ambiance, you get an excellent meal, with a great value. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE SOMETHING ASK FOR NICK THE MANAGER HE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT!!!! Friday and Saturday nights during peak dinner times are packed. They do have a couple of bar areas that you can grab a drink or two, and wait for a seat, or you can grab a high top table and eat there. The

Service was bad, think our waitress lied about our salad, I asked for a side salad it was not even a handful of salad... BUT food and drinks were AMAZING. Would maybe do takeout next time?? Ill definitely try it again

If you decide to eat here you have to try the "pollo millano", it is unbelievable! My wife had the sea scallops over risotto, not so good, mushy consistency. I would have given a higher rating but the service is lacking in all areas, the staff seemed to be a bunch of teenagers who were more interested in hanging around in bunches of three or four and talking to each other instead of checking on their tables. It took ten minutes from when we were seated until the waitress came over to take our drink order, and the place was not busy it was lunch time and there was more staff then customers. I couldn't help but notice when we were seated all the waitresses were grouped together by the bar hanging out, and yes ten minutes later our waitress decided to leave that conversation and wait on us! I would like to go back again but I think the service will keep me away for a while.

Wanted to try the food here for a long time. We decided to do dinner here tonight and I must say i am not sure if we will be back. First, the food was wonderful. A bit too much sauce but I was really impressed with all the food. My issue is the wait staff there. They really have NO personality and are borderline rude. Our waitress pretty much dropped the wine list to us and while putting the plates for our app. on the table she was looking at the hostess for some reason. Also we ordered a large plate and asked to split it and our waitress said "I guess you can but just so you know they charge to do that" Well ok. I have no clue how they stay so busy with the help they have. Also we heard another group of people say the same thing about their waitress. Hopefully they smarten up because they aren't cheap and I expect good service when I am paying that kind of money.

Bolognese. It's a basic dish, and if an Italian restaurant can't do it right, it isn't worth my time. Teresa's did it perfectly. In fact, it was some of the best I've had in a long time, and they let you choose what kind of pasta you wanted it over. Plus, our server was great - she was a riot!

Went there last night with my husband. Sat at the bar. Mark was our bartender. Firstly, let me just say, he was outstanding. He handled the entire room easily, and the room was hoppin'. He didn't miss a beat. We were so impressed with just that alone. But then we ordered the food. I had the Mixed Grill and my husband got the Scallop Carbonara. My husband hates everything, always looking to pick something apart. He couldn't. He was too busy stuffing his face. And my meal was so tasty, chicken, sausage and marinated steak tips with a side of linguine. Oh man, I cannot wait to go back.

Attractive looking place with good service, but the food was mediocre. We went a few months ago as a party of three and we all vowed not to return. There are far better bangs-for-the-buck in these parts.

A little better than Olive Garden or Carrabbas. Yeah, that about covers it. It's just OK. Good for families too, since it won't cost you a lot to dine here. You like big, sloppy portions? Then you'll also walk away happy. Just don't, for any reason ever, try to call this authentic, fine Italian dining. It's not. If you like chicken parm palaces, by all means .... but don't expect anything beyond mediocre red sauce and frozen calamari rings. Feel full, be full ... Dined here last night with family, and the only thing that really made me happy was that -- with a couple of rounds of adult beverages, apps and entrees -- the bill before tip was just $270 for a party of 7. At least I didn't feel ripped off over mediocre food. But as the great philosopher once said: You do get what you pay for. I tried the Pollo Milano, it's the house specialty, I'm told. Turned out it was a huge hunk of deep friend chicken on top of mushy linguine, and smothered in an odd, tasteless pinkish cream sauce. Sat and watched other diners slurp ziti and meatballs (yeah, that's real authentic Italian food), and chicken parm. As a fan of real Italian cuisine what really bothered me was how they take cooked pasta, simply cover it with sauce, and then serve it. People, please: the only authentic way to do is to allow the pasta some time to cook in the sauce. Their practice of not doing this the right way was very Olive Garden-like. But don't get me wrong, I like all-you-can-eat breadsticks too. Just don't try to call the place authentic Italian. And definitely ... come ready to strap on the ole feedback.

Pretty hard to give more than 1 star when you never see a waiter/waitress. Went here on a Mon at 5:15. We were seated right away but here is where it went downhill. 15 mins later, at 5:30 we still had not been attended to by a server. Not even a "hello, I'll be right with you"...nothing. A family of 6 sat after us and were met by a waitress right away. It was only my wife and I, not a large party. Twice a waitress passed our table and just looked and kept walking. 15 mins was long enough, we left. I wanted to let hostess know of the problem but she wasnt even at hostess station. The place was empty at the time so it wasnt like she was busy.

Pretty decent food and the service was horrible. The waitress refuse to apologize after screwing up bread, starter, entree for all 3 of us and screwed the children food too. Even after we explained that to the manager (he was good), the waitress refused to accept that she messed up everything. It was our special day and the whole experience made us not to go back again.

My favorite Italian restaurant in the area. The chicken and veal parm combo is my personal favorite. The girlfriend loves the trio. They tend to go heavy handed on the sauce and it makes the meal a little soggy. I've started ordering my meal dry, with sauce on the side so I can control the amount. Arancini is delicious, pizza is great, and the seafood specials we've tried have all been good. Solid value for large portions.

I've been here a couple times with my family over the years, but this is the first time I've been here since I've had REAL Italian food, thanks to my newly married into family. Now I just want to say that this isn't bad by any means. It's much better than what you get at Bertucci's or Vinny T's (RIP), but it's just not as good as it could be either. I got a pasta dish with chicken and beef tips over fresh fuzzili. It was good, but I feel like my sauce was too pasty and really could have benefited from freshly squeezed tomatoes. My wife got a seafood pasta dish with a truffle drizzle. The truffle flavor was great, but my god the dish was half comprised of oil. She literally had to dump the oil onto another plate because there was so much and it started to congeal. My bro-lo got the pork chops, which looked and tasted great. I'll definitely get those next time. If there is a next time. Also the dessert just isn't good. We got the tiramisu, which was assured to us by our pushy waitress that it is freshly prepared. Welp, it came out in a plastic bowl and it was more dense than a pound cake. No espresso flavor, no real flavor at all. This is the first time that I couldn't finish a tiramisu because it just wasn't worth it. I will most likely return for a birthday or some other event, but I probably won't come back on a whim. There are better options that make fresh Italian food that are closer to me (Cafe Dolce screams my name). Decent, but could be much better

I am always looking for good Italian on the North Shore, and this place fits the bill (though a bit of a drive for me). I've been here for both dinner, as well as drinks and appetizers, and both times had an excellent experience. The bread and oil is good, though not the best I've had. I love the calamari here. For dinner, I had the chicken broccoli over fusilli with a scampi-type sauce, and it was delicious. My friend loved her gnocchi. Portions are good sized. For drinks, I like the strawberry caipirinhia (sp?). Though it is not a true one (no cachaca), it is still good. I forget what my friend drank, but remember her liking it. And I love that the owner stops by to check on you. Service was fine. I recommend making a reservation, at least for a Friday night, as it was packed. I went in the middle of the week once, and though busy, seating did not seem to be an issue. The bar is also nice to sit at for a drink.

Generally we enjoy Teresa's , the menu is varied and usually good. Two bars to enjoy a drink or eat if you don't want to wait for a table. The one disappointment that we have experienced is their veal dishes. We have tried their veal on a few occasions and found it wanting. We went there for dinner last sat and ordered veal piccata and veal papa (a house special). Both veal dishes were tough and difficult to cut. Mentioned to the bartender (we were eating at the bar) but nothing came of it. Try it, you may find something you enjoy but forget the veal, just not something they do well.

Went here on a Saturday evening, sat in the lounge section. Our waitress was overly familiar/comfortable - not my preference - but I decided what could it hurt to be friendly back? I asked for her recommendations on popular dishes--I know now that I should have just kept my mouth shut. She recommended the dish I was actually already considering, so I said "Perfect, I wanted that anyway, so I will order that, please!" She continued to make suggestions; I politely declined and said I would stick with my first instinct. My boyfriend and I each ordered a glass of wine. He went to the bathroom. The waitress went to put our order in and YELLED at me from across the room while standing at the computer to ask again what kind of wine I wanted. She had it completely wrong. She then yelled again to ask if I wanted the pasta on the side--it seemed like an odd request since I ordered a dish that said it was served over pasta, but I said "sure." Another red flag. We finally get our food, I put my fork in the dish, look at it quizzically and realize "this is not what I ordered." I told her so, and she tried to blame me, saying that she thought I had ordered the dish in front of me (one of her other suggestions that I turned down). I told her I definitely did not (nor would I) have ordered that dish. She continued to try and turn the blame on me and did nothing to try and resolve the matter. She even went as far as to use the excuse that when she was yelling at me from the computer that she named the dish and I should have spoken up then that it was wrong. Sorry, ma'am, when you are yelling to someone from across a noisy restaurant (don't even get me started on how inappropriate that is to begin with) you cannot expect that your message is going to get properly conveyed. Another waitress had to step in and assure me that the meal I had ordered would be made on the fly, and not to worry. Finally, someone here to help! She left the meal in front of me, and my boyfriend put his fork in it to see what was actually in the dish (my fork had already been put in it when I initially got it). She then hurried over, and reprimanded him by saying "Oh, you're not going to eat it, are you?" Are you kidding me, lady? YOU messed up, we already put our forks in it, what on earth where you planning on doing with this meal?!?!? She then took the plate away. Again, I have no idea what she intended on doing with this dish that we had already put our used forks in. My correct order came very quickly....honestly, too quickly as it was room-temperature. There is no way that thing was just freshly made for me. Finally, some man who did not even introduce himself came over to us after we had paid and asked how everything was that evening. Was this a standard table visit? Or did he know about the situation? Either way, it was a half-assed attempt at customer service, which is essentially how the entire evening felt. He did not acknowledge the situation and I was not about to bring it up, I was ready to leave that awful establishment. We said it was fine, and he accepted that response and left. I have worked in the restaurant industry in the past and neither myself as a server or my managers would ever treat customers that way, and allow someone to leave without trying to make it better. At least my boyfriend enjoyed his meal. I will never go back there again.

This place is often busy and for good reason! Though service can swing either way and entrees are on the pricier side, the food is what really shines. Teresa's is known for their Pollo Milano, and I can see why: Panko-breaded chicken perfectly pan-fried to scrumptious heights, served with a tomato cream sauce and your choice of pasta. Pay the $2 up-charge for the homemade fusilli. Trust me, it's worth it. I only wish I still lived on the North Shore so I could enjoy it more often. Portions are very generous and you're likely to have leftovers to enjoy the next day. I've enjoyed the dishes we've sampled so far (with the Pollo Milano being the clear winner). They make a very tasty arancini in a hearty tomato sauce. Their fried calamari is OK - maybe it was the breading they used, I just wasn't wowed by it. Pizza is pretty good too, generous on the toppings, thin crust... But I'm content to stick with their pasta dishes. Oh, and don't overlook the bakery and deli...they make an awesome cannoli!

Love, love, love it here!! Never a disappointment. I often go with my fiance (this is his FAVORITE resturant), or with co-workers after work. We always sit in the bar/lounge area, which has a great atmosphere. The resturant side is too well lit, and doesn't have a great feel. However, the food is beyond delicious. My favorite meals are Pollo Milano, Chicken Parm, and the Brushetta Pizza. The drinks are equally as delicious (lime rickey, lemon drop martini). The meal portions are huge. The staff is always kind and quick. The price is just right. I would highly recommend this resturant, you will not be disappointed.

The GF and I had dinner there last night. Nice place, the parking lot is always full so I figured it must be good. The servers were friendly and seated us quickly. The menu was expansive and there was a nice mixture of italian plates and other items such as fish and chops. We ordered the cabrese salad and the tomatoes weren't even ripe. There must be a basil shortage as there were a couple little slivers of the herb on a few of the tomato/cheese slices. I ordered the penne vodka and it wasn't spicy at all, although the chicken was tender. The portion size was decent - enough for leftovers. The GF ordered the halibut and it was cooked well but bland. The vegetables were tasty. The price for dinner with a couple drinks & tip was ~ $80. The food was on par with Olive Garden but not as good as Bertucci's.

As an Italian-American, I rarely go out for Italian food. Nothing compares to my family's cooking! However, this place is one of the few I enthusiastically support/frequent. They have a great selection of drinks and an array of appetizers and dinners. Highly recommend for homestyle Italian cooking, with a great atmosphere and pleasant staff.

My best friend wanted to go to Teresa's for her birthday and I happily obliged even though it was over 25miles away. She had been there before and raved about the lobster ravioli entree and this meatball like thing called a arancini appetizer. We opted for the arancini and bruschetta appetizers and they were really good. So far not disappointed. For entrees we ordered from the daily specials. My friend got a new item which was the tilapia fish stuffed with lobster in a cream sauce. I got the scallops and wild mushrooms over apple risotto. The lobster dish was very, very good the scallops, just so so. Service was great though and are server was friendly and courteous. Though I was underwhelmed my friend was very satisfied with her dining experience. I might venture out here again but that's probably because it's across the street from Richardson's ice cream shop....mmm!!!

Went here for the first time tonight with my family, there was 8 of us in total, including my fiance. We had reservations for 6:30 and were seated immediately upon arriving. Our server was friendly, got our drinks and such while we were waiting for the others in the group to arrive. So now everyone is here. We order salads and apps. I had the Teresa's house salad, and I really enjoyed it. It had a nice arrangement of marinated mushrooms (which I love), artichokes, roasted peppers, pepperoncinis, olives, etc. We got the calamari as our app. UGH SOOO GROSS, I actually commented on that upon arrival of the dish (based on appearance only). It looked just like it tasted, overcooked, greasy, too much batter. Worst calamari I've had in awhile. My fiance got the wedge salad and he liked it. The others enjoyed their salads and Arancini (those looked good but didn't sample). For the entrees: I opted for the veal marsala, I don't get it often and was in the mood. You have the option to have the house made fusili pasta, which I got. The veal was good, nicely cooked, the sauce wasn't bad but was a little sweet for my taste. I liked the mushrooms, the pasta was good. Authentic marsala has proscuitto instead of ham, but ham was stated in the menu, so I was expecting it, just wanted to point that out there. Overall not a bad dish. One cute tid bit; The owner came right over to our table, having known my Aunt and Uncle, they enjoyed a quick chat. He was very friendly and seemed personable. My fiance got the lamb tips, I had only one bite but I had to legitimately spit it into my napkin (super classy lol), but it was soooo grissely and tough. He claimed his wasn't like that and he enjoyed. Maybe it was just my bite. Oh well. My mum got the gnocchi, which she wouldn't order again. It was as another reviewer has stated, the gnocchis were "swimming" in sauce, and you had to weed out the pasta. And she had said also that the sauce was a little sweet, and tasted like a mixture of tomato soup and sauce. Well that is what it looked like! So it fit the bill. I tried a bit of the gnocchi itself, not bad. They were a little mushy, but at least they weren't dense (that's the worst). My dad had a great meal, so did my Uncle and Aunt. But the rest....Eh. I would like to also add that there are certain details that could be changed/improved. They should offer freshly cracked pepper for dishes, as well as Parmesan. They have only the shakers on the table. That would help up the anty a bit. But the food clearly needs some help. I should also mention that the trash was overflowing in the women's and men's bathroom. But now I'm just being nit picky. I'll stop while I'm ahead. Wouldn't rush back.

Had dinner here Saturday night. The wait was over 45 minutes, but there were plenty of spots to sit and people-watch so it was tolerable. The restaurant seems to attract a very eclectic crowd of blue-collar folks in their sweats (yikes!) as well as older couples and lots of families. Anyway, our salads were fresh and reasonably priced, the pasta entree my wife ordered was very generous and tasty, and my pizza was cooked perfectly. The service was very friendly and our waitress was attentive. It was a nice touch to be greeted during the meal by the owner. With an extensive menu, very reasonable prices, a nice clean atmosphere, and excellent service, I recommend Teresa's to anyone looking for a quality Italian meal in Middleton.

We were a group of 6 for dinner. Reserved early in week so we arrived and seated promptly at 6PM. Place was very busy on a Friday evening. Evidently the kitchen was backed up because from seating to arrival of dinner was 1hr 20min. Some groups arrived and ate and left before we got our dinner. I give 4 stars because food was really good. I do recommend TIED but make sure you have plenty of time. I like the way they remodeled with the bar and functions in separate room, so the main dining room is fairly quiet and comfortable.

Food was good but we had horrible service! You'd think a restaurant like this would realize that good service is what separates you from the many of other restaurants with "good food." I think we just got unlucky with who was serving us. I could see many of the other tables getting 5-star service. I will definitely give it another try because I did enjoy the food and atmosphere.

I love this place for take out. Their salads, pizza and pasta dishes are pretty good (not fantastic but when it's late and you're hungry, it works) but their sandwiches are really lacking. The steak and cheese has no flavor. I ordered a hot turkey sub, it came cold. Stuff like that. Their alfredo leaves a little something to be desired too, and it's served with ziti which is bizarre to me as they don't even offer fettucini. The stuffed shells are bomb though, so they have that going for them.

Went here recently on a Saturday night and had an awful dining experience. We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated right away, and placed our order in a reasonable amount of time. The drinks came quickly, but our salads took a good 45 minutes to arrive. After that we waited endlessly for our entrees to come. By the time they arrived it was two hours from when we had ordered them. The waitress and manager were very polite and apologetic, but the restaurant seemed incapable of handling a busy Saturday night crowd. Another table stood up and walked out after waiting too long for their food. For what it's worth, the food was as good as always, but the restaurant has some serious management issues it needs to work through before I'll be back.

I had chicken parmesan, meatballs, zitis, chicken alfredo, garlic bread, among a few other things. Yes, I'm a fatty. The dishes were not drowned in sauce and the pasta was just right. Everything was great except for the garlic bread. The garlic bread was a bit dry. I thought it was going to be soft on the inside, but it was like eating a thick garlic flavored cracker. The staff was extremely nice. The weird thing about this place was that at 5pm, there's a 45 minute wait. Either it's a happening spot or people in this area eats dinner very early. Would come here again if in area.

For apps we got meatballs and bruschetta, meatballs and sauce was good but very salty, bruschetta was great. Dinners we got Chicken Marsala which was great, my girlfriend got eggplant parm that was overlooked and very greasy. The drinks were great. The broccoli rabi was over cooked rendering it very dry and extremely salty which I could not eat. The kicker was that our server had obviously been drinking on the job because she smelled like booze and lost our 20% tip at the end and came back to our table and accused our party for not tipping and she started emptying out her apron and pockets in front of us on our table telling us that she doesn't have our tip. She goes back to the register and finds the $20 on the floor comes back and then apologizes to us as she staggers away. Extremely unprofessional! I would never go here again, it's overpriced, food is salty and not the greatest quality. The staff is rude, but the drinks and decor is great but it's not enough to entice us to go back.

Went here for dinner. The food was okay not my favorite place to eat Italian but had to try it. I order brocolli rabe but had to send it back it was cold and the stems were so big like asparagus, couldn't eat it. The eggplant and chicken parm was okay but I have had much better. Would not go back here for Italian food. I don't know why this was a big deal on Phantom Gourmet.

Actually 3.5 stars Got the pollo Milano , it was good but I expected it to be better for the price & being on the phantom gourmet. Steak tips were good but really chewy . Best part of the dinner was the side of rice pilaf , it was cheesy w/ spinach . Overall just an average place , step up from a chain restaurant .

This place was so delicious. I was a little skeptical from reading some of the previous reviews, but thought I would give it a shot anyhow. So tonight I brought my girl here for date night and let me say I was slightly blown away. First of the service was great, it was fairly busy and they still seated us right away. Our waitress brought over bread and seasoned oil, the oil was some of the best I ever had. I read a previous review of how the bread was just cheap white bread with no flavor..... It's scali bread, that's what it's supposed to be lol, you did realize you were at an Italian restaurant right? Anyways I ordered the Veal Papa which was simply amazing, my girlfriend ordered the chicken parm and it looked much better than you would see at most places. The drinks were wicked good, we tried a pineapple upside down cake martini, which was ridiculously delicious. Both of us could barely finish our meals (they were very generous portions for an extremely fair price) but we decided we had to try one of their chocolate chip cannollis, probably the best cannoli I've ever had. We just got home and I'm slipping into a quasi-food coma, so I would have to say give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Just went in for mothers day. The hostess station is full of rude young girls with stacks of papers they cant keep track of. I made a reservation, which they could not find amongst the disorganized stack, no big deal at all until their dirty looks, whispering, and deliberate rudeness started. After finding the reservation they didn't have a table ready and went to find it, not saying a word to us throughout. The lost reservation and the table not being ready was honestly no big deal, their attitudes throughout really blew me away. Our waitress was lovely and was the only reason we stayed. I will pass next time! We only came because we had a collection of gift cards we didn't get around to using! Food was mediocre.

Middleton, MA- Never easy to get a table and crowded at the bar but the food is excellent and the people are friendly. An old standby near my home, my wife and I went last minute Saturday night after long busy day and were able to cozy up to the bar for a drink, salads and really good Italian food- I had the veal Marsala, tender veal, great sauce and fresh veggies and fresh fusilli pasta as well as a hearty portion. My wife also enjoyed her shrimp pasta dish. Service at the bar with Palma was great!

When this restaurant opened it was full of friendly staff, good prices and even better food. However now their quality has been downgraded. I use to go in there with a friend and get a cup of coffee every single day, coffee went from $1.50, all the way up to $3.50 in less then three week. No refills, just a simple cup of coffee, a small cup. That was basically what aggravates me the most. Then I have them a second chance and ordered a cheese panini, which is a grilled cheese. It was burnt and so were the fries. Unacceptable. I won't ever go there again, and it's truly a shame because I have heard they have expanded to a country club in North Reading.

I was invited to a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night. We had a party of (12) and reservations were made for 8:30pm. Most of us arrived early to surprise the birthday boy. Around 8pm the waitress notified us that we should be putting our orders in by 8:30pm because the kitchen was closing. So, we were a little confused since we made reservations for 8:30pm. This made us call people to ask if they would be arriving soon thus, spoiling the surprise. Food? The bread with the olive oil/garlic mix is awesome... had a whole plate to myself. For the main meal, we all ordered something different from lamb tips (kinda dry) to chicken broccoli ziti (way too much sauce). I had Teresa's Grilled Chicken and it was great with the sun-dried tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. Drinks? They do have a wide range of different colorful, expensive drinks but, when i heard there was a Martini bar I had to get a martini. Basic 'dirty martini' was average. Does a martini bar mean they serve different martini's? Overall- solid place. A little miscommunication in the beginning but they apologized. Portions were pretty big and the atmosphere is relaxing. -Khemara

I have been going here since it first opened and was more of a takeout, cafeteria style restaurant. They have come a long way since they first opened. The food is great, the service is hit or miss. The new Martini Bar was a great addition!! My family is keen on the ravioli that you can buy next door at the bakery/deli and make at home. I am always a big fan of a family run business and Teresa's does not disappoint! Try the pork chops - they are tender, juicy, and oh-so flavorful! Pasta dishes are HUGE portions, enough for an entire meal the next day! Just looking for a quick sandwich to take home? Try the veal parm on ciabatta!!

This is place is gross don't bother, Mary our waitress was rank!! The manager on duty didn't do anything for us just said oh wow! Are you kiddin' me! Mary didn't stay at our table long enough couldn't ask her questions about the menu she was off and running, the food was tasteless the pizza was gross! DON'T BOTHER with this restaurant, go to Trattoria Amalfi in Salem, NH now that is Italian food to die for.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Middleton. The only drawback is the wait, however you can usuallyl snag a seat at the bar while you wait. The pollo milano is amazing, but be sure to get it with the homemade fusilli, well worth the extra $3. The lobster ravioli are also a fav, comes with shrimp and scallops in a cream sauce. Calamari is also very tasty. Pizzas are great too but can get expensive it you start customizing. Desserts are less than spectacular, skip it and go across to Richardsons for a sundae. Overall a great place to eat.

Start with the best part of the meal. The spinach salad with sauteed fresh veggies. Yum and double yum. However the pizza with fresh moz. and basil wasn't as great. First, the sauce is a sweet sauce (some people like that). The cheese was a little strange didn't remind me of any fresh moz. I knew (and when reheated it never bubbled just burnt) and unfortunately all of the basil was dumped in one part. Nice crust though a bit dry. The atmosphere is nice, location very pleasant, and truly the BEST spinach salad...Im going back just for that!

My aunt introduced me to this place a few months ago. My memory isn't as vivid as it should be however I do remember ordering chicken parm and enjoying it. Nothing mind-blowing, but it satisfied my grumbling tummy. My husband fell in love with their bruschetta and has been trying to find a better/similar one since! Middleton is pretty out of the way so we have only been one other time since, & it was for lunch. They offer a variety of panini's and sandwiches which I thought was cool. I ended up getting ravioli and meatballs (which only came with one meatball fyi). The sauce is good, simple and doesn't overpower the dish you choose. Their meatball was really good, after devouring the first one I wanted to say screw the raviolis and just order some more meatballs on the side! My husband got the veal parm and he cleaned his plate. He said the cut could have been better and more tender, but it was still good. If I can give you one recommendation, I'd say skip dessert at Teresa's and head across the street to Richardson's for some delicious, homemade ice cream :)

Visited December 15th 2012, Saturday night & 2 weeks before Christmas. Needless to say, I was prepared for a wait list, and was not surprised that indeed there was one. We were told it would be 35-45 minutes (so exact), and given a pager. LET ME SAY, IF YOU ARE EVER GIVEN A PAGER ANYWHERE, CLARIFY WITH THE HOSTESS THAT ITWORKS. Ours didn't. After 40 minutes my friend approached the small hostess desk to see where we were on the list. " 2 parties ahead of you". So, OK another 10 minutes wait, no problem. After 20 minutes I tried to get some sort of non verbal confirmation that they were aware we were still waiting. NO ONE, and I mean no one would make eye contact with us. Bear in mind we are standing less than 10 feet away from them, propped up against a post, because now I'm beginning to wilt and feel my blood sugar draining. Even the owner/manager didn't glance over to check out the situation at the front. I then went up to ask about the delay and they claimed they had paged us 3 times! We were right there, they could have just called out. Absolutely no observational skills from them. In fact the dips**t young bimbo ("front manager") spent most of her downtime on her i-phone or talking to the second (! hostess). She outright lied to my face twice about the seating list and claimed that people who were seated before us arrived early and were in the bar...year right. That's why their names were added 5 rows down from ours. We were told we would get the next available, but this too was untrue. A larger table vacated and they just let it stay un-bussed. When finally seated approx 1.5 hours after arriving, the now very attentive true manager apologized and said that he would comp us a drink OR dessert. He should have comped the whole meal. I said ok, only because at this point i was tired, wanted to go home asap, but didn't want to make a scene with my good friend there who for some misguided reason is somewhat of a regular there. THE FOOD: just because you serve pasta doesn't make you Italian. The opted for a shrimp and pasta special. The shrimp were grilled on a skewer and easily removed from the dish...thank goodness, as they had a strange odor. I realize now that it was ammonia, and the shrimp had turned bad. They also confuse quantity with quality. so much food, but mostly junk. The pasta was in a think sludge cheese sauce that was salty and floury. We arrived at 6:15pm and got out of there at 9pm...ridiculous for a suburban family restaurant.

We went there twice. "Figured we would give the place a second try". Well that was a Big Mistake.Got their Chicken Picatta and Chicken Marsala. They most definitely prepare both dishes with Jarred/Canned sauces. Definitely not freshly home made like one would expect. How hard is it for a chef to make Marsala or Picatta sauce fresh? The second time there, one of us ordered a "Filet Mignon" from the specials menu. I don't know who they think they're fooling but, when taking the first bite it was clear it certainly was not filet! The meat was cut round to appear like a filet, but the texture of the meat was very stringy as you would expect from Sirloin tips. Not only was the meal very disappointing, but also the fact that someone would tell you and charge you for filet, and then give you an much lesser cut of meat is down right dishonest! Teresa's has a very nice inside decor, but fails at the most important thing a restaurant should excel at...FOOD!

My wife and I have gone to Teresa's and found the food to be okay. I would say that the prices are reasonable but everything is a la carte I had chicken marsala and felt the chicken was to thick to cut.. It also tasted like it needed to be cut thinner .. I felt I needed a saw to cut the chicken I would probably only go to Teresa;s as a last resort, For a family that used to be from East Boston they should remember what Italian food should be. I would like to give kudos to the Fusilli which was good but would not recommend to go there again where there is Angelica;s and Roc's tavern right down the street..

Had the Antipasto---was pretty good....lettuce mix under lots of fresh meats and cheeses was lifeless....Had the lunch, chicken parm.,,,was great except the fresh pasta I believe they make there was very very very doughy. They took 2 dollars off for that situation which they did not have to do.I think it needed to be boiled more.... The food and drink was good overall. The Bartender mark was very polite and personable. The manager who took the 2 dollars off was also polite and had a nice smile ! (yes,it was a female) I will go back.....I think they can be a 5 star if they work out some of the kinks that yelpers have mentioned.

This place was BUSY by 6pm on a Saturday night. We ended up sitting in the martini bar lounge area for dinner. It was just fine. Menu had a decent selection and the service was good. We all really enjoyed our meals: chicken and spicy vodka sauce, pollo milano, and a veal special. No complaints. Portions were big enough to take home 1/2 for a leftovers. Nice bar area, nice dinning room, and apparently a bunch of function space.

Went to Teresa's last night for the first time. There are definitely some great things to say about the food and some area's that were a bit lacking. When arriving on a Sunday night and seeing how busy the place was, it dawned on me...OH SNAP , stupid Valentine's Day weekend. So of course my expectations are instantly lowered, because if you know one thing abut dining...KNOW THIS,,,,,,Restaurants are notoriously bad on nights/ fake holidays like this. It's just the way it goes. The place is deceiving from the outside. When you walk in it really is beautiful, with nice lighting and charming atmosphere. The hostess informed us that we would have to wait for a table or we could go over to the martini bar/ lounge and order from the same menu and seat ourselves. So we did just that. The server asked us what we would like to drink. I asked him what kind of beers they have, and the response I got was " What kind of beer do you want ?". I'm not really sure why, but this response always bugs me. Sometimes I don't know exactly what I want, and perhaps I want to look at a menu or get a generic idea of what my options are. Consumers like options....and guess what..... we are paying for them, so just be cool and pretend to actually give a shit. I tip WELL my friend. Very well. Anyway....so I order a stupid Stella because that's all I can think of on the spot. We get some menu's and see a special appetizer of Proscuitto wrapped Asparagus served with fontina cheese & diced tomatoes with a balsamic drizzle my nizzle. DELICIOUS. Really truly and awesome start. We also ordered the homemade Arancini. I cannot resist Arancini. It should be considered one of the major four food groups in my sleazy mind. When done well is it spectacular. They nailed it. Truly. The sauce was sweet and not too heavy. The rice was a little under (as it should be) and the creamy, cheesy, beefy middle was perfection. YUM. For an entree I ordered ravioli and the homemade meatball. My friend ordered the veal parmigiana with linguini. By this point we had several different people either asking us what we wanted or different people dropping off food and drinks. One of the other female servers seemed more interested in helping us out but it got confusing, especially as the service was seemingly spotty. The ravioli had good flavor but unfortunately had a lot of water. The meatballs were awesome. My friend's veal was decent but inconsistent. Some of the bites had good "bite/breading" and other bites seemed a little chewy. The sauce was the saving grace, as it was definitely my style flavor. The linguini never came but instead was served with ziti. I find linguini useless anyway so I thought that was a better choice. I had a nice glass of Pinot Noir and although we didn't get other drinks or dessert......the menu looked appealing for both. We took some leftovers home and waited with our containers in front of us for 10 minutes while waiting to see if someone would bring us a check or offer us a dessert menu. It became a funny game to see how long we should wait. The original waiter came back and asked us if we would like anything else but by that point we were more than disenchanted with the waiting game. I'd like to go back to Teresa's on a night that isn't associated with a holiday and also sit in the main dining area.....I think it's safe to say that those two variables definitely affected some of the rating/stars. If you have made it this far through my spiel.....just remember....ARANCINI.

DON'T GO HERE!!!!! What an awful experience my family had ordering take-out from this restaurant. We ordered two pizzas and an appetizer. When I went to pick up the order they thought I only had ordered one pizza. Fine, mistakes happen. They then refused to make me another pizza because "it was Friday night, and they were too busy." However, I didn't want one pizza, I had ordered two pizzas!! I needed two pizzas to feed my family. After begging to get a pizza made they said it would take 30 minutes to get my pizza because there were many other orders ahead of mine. You would think that if they had made a mistake they would have tried to rectify the situation and put the pizza I ordered almost 30 minutes before in right away, while my other pizza sat waiting. The pizza I got wasn't even that good after the ordeal I went through. For the price we paid, you think it would have been a better pizza. Next time I'll go to Bertucci's, because even they were better. My wife called to speak to the manager to share the lack of customer service I received at their establishment. She was put on hold for a few minutes before a young girl, the "manager" came on the line. It ended up not being the manager and then she was put on hold again. Finally, the real manager, or owner's wife, came on the line. Instead of apologizing for the experience we had, she kept saying, "but it was Friday night, but it was Friday night." There is no excuse for receiving poor customer service. I understand that it was a busy time, but she could have asked to speak to my wife the next day. No, instead she hangs up on my wife. I'm astonished what poor customer service this establishment has. I was previously in the pizza business for 6 years, and that is no way to run a business. It doesn't matter what night it is, you should always try to accomodate all customers and listen to concerns to improve your business. I would definitely recommend never going to Teresa's!!!

I've been several more times since my first review & the food seems to get better every time. Seems to be getting a little busier. Service overall is still the weak spot here, but not bad enough to want to skip it. Arancine is the best short of going to the North End. I'm very Italian. I recommend this place highly.

My family took me here for my birthday on the 12th. Family loved it. Food was graet. Many had eggplant/chicken parm, eggplant/veal parm. Really good. Wanted the sangria but Nick told me will not make if quality of fruit is not up to standard. You go Nick!!

Great location, nice decor. We sat at the new martini bar which was very nice, bartender was friendly. I was told the chicken proscuitto sandwich was the most popular item on the menu so I that's what I got. Hot chicken cutlets which were good, cold proscuitto and cold mozzarella on a typical no name pizza joint sub roll. I was kind of waiting for the "wow" to kick in being this was the most popular thing on the menu, but it was just ok. I'll try something else next time.

When I first saw Teresa's planning to open in my town, my first thought was, "Great, yet another 'Italian' restaurant. Why couldn't it be Tibetan food or some other more unique cuisine?" Then again, when we first moved to Middleton in 2001, Food Network wasn't even offered in our cable TV line-up, so maybe I was asking for a bit too much. So I voted my displeasure with the only way I could, with my wallet via a mini-boycott, and I avoided the place for a few months after it opened. Then a bit of intellectual curiosity sprinkled with a bit of empathy for independent entrepreneur that at least didn't go a franchised route let me to take my first step inside. I didn't quite know what to make of it. There were a couple of cashiers up front taking orders as you'd see at a local sub shop or pizza joint, yet the place was cavernous with a large seating area dotted with tables and booths. I actually asked one of the cashiers, "How does this work?" She then replied, "You place and pay for your order here and then we'll bring it out to you when it's ready." OK, sounded easy enough. Slowly, I began to thaw as I sensed that this place *was* a bit different than the typical suburban Italian restaurant. And it really is different, in a good way. Read on. The quality of the food is not what one would expect from a place where you place your order at a cashier. I mean, that's setting the bar pretty low, and that's not how I meant it to come out. If this were a full-fledged restaurant, it would be completely legit. The dishes are very well prepared. They have a bit of a 'twist' when appropriate (for example, the Roasted Tuscan veggies have a bit of a kick) yet they don't go crazy with dishes that should prepared in a classic style, like the Grilled Lamb Tips for instance. Order them medium rare and you'll get tasty medium rare lamp tips, naked in all their glory, and not slathered in sauce to cover-up suspect cuts of meat. We've been there several times to dine-in as a family and we've taken out already over a dozen times (mostly pizza, which is delicious thin crust Neopolitan style). I haven't found a hot/cold sandwich or a grilled entree that I haven't liked so far. My favorite sandwich is the Prosciutto, Roasted Pepper, Sharp Provolone & Marinated Tomatoes on a Sub Roll. I never thought I'd be able to get a sandwich like this outside downtown Boston when I used to work in the Financial District. Yum. Even the basic sandwiches, like the Meatball Sub with Cheese, have been completely satisfying. So far the only item we'd given a thumbs down to is the Baby Clams, Garlic, Olive Oil, Basil & Oregano pizza. Sounds intriguing on the menu, but in practice was way too 'fishy' tasting. Methinks the clams probably came out of a can, which completely surprised us given how much we've loved everything else there. The other pizzas, though, have been great. Our family favorite is, ah-hem, the Cheese pizza. I know, I know, how utterly pedestrian, but sometimes it's these simple ones that are harder to do right. It's also good to know that if the basic cheese pizza is good, then you know that the foundation for the other pizzas will be solid. Our favorite specialty pizzas are the Pesto Grilled Chicken & Portobello pizza and the Ricotta, Roasted Red Peppers & Prosciutto pizza. Updated July 2008: Guess what? It's a sit-down restaurant with servers now. Same great food... Terrific!

went here twice so far. 1st time, i got the Teresa's grilled chicken wich was awesome with roasted red peppers and buffalo mozzarella. my girlfriend got veal cutlets which she said were cooked perfectly. i also had a side of fusilli which i thought was great. The red sauce is good here although my girlfriend wasn't a fan 2nd time, i was dissapointed!!! we were craving a shrimp scampi pizza and the pizza did look good here. It's cooked in a wood fired oven. when i order a shrimp scampi pizza i expect to be tasting garlic all night long and into the next morning. NO GARLIC ON THE PIZZA!!!! You can't call it a shrimp scampi pizza if there is no garlic on it. they put a creamed spinach alfredo sauce on it for the sauce. They should call it the Shrimp alfredo pizzza then!!! very disappointed. the crust was awesome though nice and crunchy

2 stars for good food at heinous prices. The waitress sent a smarmy drunk to our table to harass us into leaving before finishing our drinks. (he told us as much, and she was hovering, waiting for the credit card to hit the table - we weren't even there late! Dinner with 2 glasses of wine?!?!) If you must give this place your hard earned money, get take out, and make them repeat your order back to you brfore getting off the phone, or they WILL screw it up. Don't eat here. I sure won't again. Fact is this: what with the fact that there are so many great places to eat with such fantastic service, eateries have to be really outstanding throughout the entire house, front and back or else word will spread... That's just how it is.

This restaurant is located in a strip mall. Its nondescript storefront and bland, bland, bland...Italian food unexpectedly disappointed! This place seems to carter to patrons who are willing to accept weak flavored Italian dishes. After waiting for an hour on a Saturday night, the five of us were hundled on a table that sat four "take it or leave it" I was the unlucky one who sat on the corner of the square table. My first two selections "ran out" so I just ordered basic Italian fare (chicken marsala) and it was done badly (under seasoned). We had so many opportunities to leave...all the while, I prayed but Teresa's held no miracles. Teresa's has so much potential but has glaring issues. The decor reminded me of a old navy store. The bar has as much substance as a puddle of water (looked like a home depot employee break room). If your going to make people wait at least have comfortable seating maybe a TV ? The hostess should hand out menu's to people waiting, better yet she should dress in a hooters outfit. We counted 42 people leaving after being told "its a fifty minute wait". There's something fundamentally sad about a bad restaurant. if you throw sawdust on the floor and sell nothing but pizza and beer you might have something ? The pizza was some of the best Ive had and our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. All said - I would go to Olive Garden or Carrabba's before returning to this place.

My mom and i come here for lunch every once and awhile on friday afternoons and i have yet to get something i don't like. I have gotten their eggplant and chicken parm sub on ciabatta and they were tasty. I have gotten the grilled veggie sub several times and it is very good. Recently i got a marinated chicken sub and it was delicious! This is definitely a decent and tasty spot for lunch

Great pizzas - try the eggplant or shrimp scampi. Good sandwiches - chicken cutlet w/ prosciutto is my fave and the fries are really good. Grilled items are surprisingly good for an Italian joint. Other items can be hit or miss in my opinion. The meatballs are usually outstanding, but sometimes too salty. Beware of chicken dishes. I have had rubbery (pre-cooked?) chicken thrown into my pasta dishes on a few occasions. They are pretty good about substitutions if you have special requests. Kind of pricey for standard Italian fare... Specialty pizzas will run you upwards of $15.

Teresa's was alright, not great. Went there a few months ago with friends who rave about one of their pork dishes. I don't remember what I ordered so I know it wasn't great! Probably won't go again. I would like to try their store next door to the restaurant sometime!

Went there again the other night. Delish. Hubby loves their steak tips. I had the grilled chicken w/fresh mozzarella and drizzled w/balsamic in a white wine sauce. Juicy and tender. Wonderful! It's our new favorite in the area. I also like the oil w/roasted garlic! Yum. Contessa

First mistake I made was going on a Saturday evening. They DO NOT take reservations for less than 6 people. When I got there I was greeted by the 2 worst hostesses ever. Very rude and couldn't have cared less. I understand the place was insane, I give them that. But they applied for the job - suck it up! They also told me a 50 minute wait. Well 1 & 1/2 hrs later I finally sat down. (And there was only 2 of us.) But after all that our waiter was wonderful - attentive and friendly. The food and cocktails were worth the wait. My only other gripe was the price. But food portions were good. Will go back. But I'll probably make it a Sunday afternoon. Good news though - the owner said they are expanding and will be able to seat a lot more customers.

I ate here for the first time this past weekend. I am not a native New Englander and have not been impressed by many of the restaurants I have visited in the North Shore area. This one, however, is easily the best Italian place I've been to in a while. The food was great and the waitress was attentive and personable. Prices are a bit higher than I wanted to pay, but it beats spending the same amount at Kelly's or some place for tasteless food with terrible service.

Teresa's proves that it is not necessry to drive to the North End for great Italian food. I was very pleased with my experience at Teresa's. Had a reservation for four and needed to make a change upon arrival because one couple could not make it. No problem, we were seated right away. Waitress, Colleen was very pleasant and efficient. Caprice Salad made with the REAL buffalo cheese, yummy! Jumbo shrimp also very good and I liked the idea that you could order by the piece. My dinner companions ordered steaks off the special of the day menu. All were very happy with their meals. I ordered the Lamb tips (Tuscan Style), they were cooked exactly as I ordered,MR. However I found them to be too spicy for me. Colleen immediately noticed that i had moved my plate away and asked what was wrong. She insisted I order another dish. I tried the eggplant, it was delicious. The sauce (red gravy ) was the best I have had in a long time. The owner Nick was very visible and checked on every table. He came by our table and made apologies for my lamb dish. Really not necessary since it was my taste buds not his meal. Drinks were great and a lot of Martini options, although I did think $11.00 for a martini in that location was a little high. I will definitely return and would highly recommend .

A friend and I unexpectedly ended up at Teresa's on New Year's eve, having eaten there several times before. Usually the food was good, but always noticed, especially in the bar, that the waitress(es) were not attentive nor cordial. After I ordered a 'house special' with dietary accommodation requested, we had a couple of drinks that were very good. My dinner was served cold and I politely told the waitress and asked that it be served hot. When the dish came back out (still not very hot) it was brought out by the Assistant Manager who had the nerve to say that she didn't like me (the customer) being rude to her staff. Now, if politely saying a meal is cold and asking that it be served hot is rude ---they need intensive customer training. Anyway, after we discussed this in more detail and what constitutes being rude and what consitutes being polite, the "assistant manager" was soooo rude to me, and I asked to speak to her boss. She said - I'll tell my father you'd like to speak with him. He eventually came out. I tried to explain to him what happened but the 3 of them (waitress, asst. mgr. and owner) were in a team mode being rude, insulting and not at all interested in delivering positive customer service and told us they didn't care if we returned or not. So as you may guess, it will be NOT!! I would NEVER go here again nor recommend this as a positive dining experience to anyone.

Food for Rookies......If you know anything about good Italian food, "DON'T EAT HERE!! We brought our friends here for dinner and chose it, because one of our friends had a leg cast and was using a wheelchair, so we avoided Boston which required walking. What a mistake, this place is charging high end prices for Olive Garden food. The Apps were previously frozen and tasteless, their sauce was overloaded with sugar and my friends shrimp scampi had the shells left on the shrimp which he had to keep excusing himself to spit out the shells, my other friend had baked haddock with bones still in the fillet, what a disaster. This place is for rookies who after 4 glasses of wine think their poor quality food is delicious....Save your money, they must of promised the Phantom Gourmet free food for life, as we put a huge X on this place......

This is the best place to pick up a sandwich for lunch or get a thin crust pizza. Driving from Merrimack College to the North Shore Mall constantly, I got to watch Teresa's being built each day. I was curious as to what type of restaurant it would be and was very happy when I went. As I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly (and good looking) cashier who explained how the ordering process went. There are 3 different menus posted on the walls in half of a hexagon shape. One for the grill, one for pizza, and one for sandwiches. There was also a deli off to the side with some great italian cold cuts including hot copecola (mmmmm). I got a chicken and procuistto sandiwch topped with greens, tomatos, and fresh basalmic vinegar and oil in a sub roll (you can pick a sub roll, ciabatta or a pita). The sandwich was very fresh tasting and not overly dressed. It was perfect for a hot day. The pizza was extra crispy, just the way I like it. It was properly spiced with fresh basil and pepper. While it was a tad greasy, it was not a bother at all. The onion rings were not very good. Overly battered and it was a game to try to find the onion. This restaurant is very unique in the fact that while you order and pay at a counter, you have a waitress as well. She brought our food in a friendly, timely fashion and made sure our meals were ok. There is also a full service bar. The atmosphere in the dining area represented the decor of Tuscany. There was a high vaulted cieling with cross beams and bright yellow walls. There were also window boxes high on the walls under simulated windows. Quite cool. I would definately go back this place rocks!

I REALLY wanted to LOVE this place. Heard great reviews, saw them on Phantom-- so......here it is. My husband and I went on a Saturday, early 6pm, I didn't make reservations so we could sit at the bar and have a drink and experience the place. So, we sat at the bar--which was packed--and we were totally ignored for the first 5 minutes--sitting at the bar, which is about an 8 person bar!! My husband finally had to ask to the bartender if was ready to take our order. We got seated, waitress was very sweet. Waiting on our table was a delicious dish of oil with lots of delish herbs and crushed fresh garlic--YUM!!!! Couldn't wait to get the warm bread, since it claims it's a bakery as well, SO bummed--they missed a huge opportunity IMHO ----a basket of semi-stale scali bread was brought to our table. Hmmmm--not at all up to par with the delicious oil, some nice warm rustic bread or rolls would have been perfect. My husband ordered Bisteca & pollo with the homemade fusilli--excellent! I ordered the Veal Papa--ehhh--not great but the fusilli was wonderful!!! We ordered desert my husband the Banana Zango (?) Wonderful!!! I ordered the Chocolate Lava cake--missed again--no anticipated chocolate ooze, dry and tasteless. Overall, probably a better lunch place, Still really bummed about the bread!!!!!

I had read Jeff K's recommendation but did not heed it, my bad. Upon walking up to the restaraunt, the FIRST thing I noticed was there was a brand new Mercedes Benz illegally parked right in front of the restaraunt. It turns out it is the owners' car (yes, I inquired and the waitress told us whose car it was; probably not a good idea to narc on your employer). Next, we were told it would be a half hour wait. So we waited, and waited, and waited 15 feet from the hostess stand. I approached the stand and noticed they were already four parties ahead of us into seating. I inquired and she said they looked for us but couldn't find us!?!?!?! Hello???? Anyway, I had a calamari appetizer which was probably the lamest calamari I've had but it was a big portion. I also had an eggplant sandwich which was pretty lame too...with a couple slices of provolone on it. I saved the best for last. You know those cheap a$$ restaraunts that charge you for every soda and does not give free refills??? Well this is one of them! We paid for $9 worth of soda!!! WTF??? I guess that's how the owners drive a brand new Mercedes......from MY soda money! :-)

SAVE YOUR MONEY....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, Use to be a regular, as of this week I'm done with them. The quality and portions have gone down hill, I had scallops that were served raw in the middle, cork in our wine glasses and poor service, Never again, paid a premium for lack luster service and poor quality. Wrote to them but never heard back, management couldnt care less...they lost me and hopefully others will learn from our experience.

saw this place featured on the phantom gourmet and when it was time to select a place for our next girls nite out, i chose teresas. the phantom had promised that you would never have chick parm again after eating here, the thing to order was the pollo milano. be prepared, the portions are GInormous! seriously.....i had pollo milano for lunch the following day and then the day after that! as for the quality of the food- it was very good. the atmosphere was good, but it is a bit noisy (fine for girls nite out, as we weren't exactly quiet ourselves!) the service was good (i did find the waitress to be a bit impatient) but overall it was good, and the owner did come over twice during our dinner just to make sure that we were pleased. i think the pricing was about right on our dinner with the pollo milano being $16/ the veal milano $20....although i felt like $10 martinis were a little much...they were good but i just think that is a bit pricey. the only room for improvement was a little more patience for the waitress and a better desert selection....if you like canolis you are in luck, but they only had maybe 5 selections (none of which particularly appealed to me)

I've given this place 2 chances before leaving a review, because the reviews on here are mostly either 1 star or 4, not much in between... I have read so much about their service, and yes I must say it sucks... The first time we ate there we ordered apps, they were out in no time at all... wow, considering how hungry I was this seemed great... then 5 minutes later, our entrees were brought out to us, we were barely half way into the salads/apps we ordered. I commented to the server, I was asked if we wanted them brought out to the heat lamp in the kitchen, "No Thanks" The waitress seemed to disappear for extended periods of time. Really showed because we were only drinking water with out meals, so when we ran out, I mean c'mon, this shouldn't happen.. ( am i asking too much?) The food... The meal is started off with a nice little roasted garlic herb-ed infused oil but the bread albeit is a good scali, it's the kind bread sliced for sanwhiches, to me it just didn't go.. It's OK, the gravy is a little sweet for my liking, but I guess some people like that... I thought the pasta was cooked perfectly al'dente, but, the dishes of pasta were swimming in the water from the pasta which is a huge turn off for me... Once I got the pasta with rabe and sausage, it was tasty but lacked the rabe and sausage... The next time I got the pork chops in vinegar peppers. I feel like this is the dish by which you can measure a talent in a restaurant. I asked for medium rare, I got well done, not dried out and nasty, but certainly not medium rare... It was covered in a delicious sauce made from the vinegar reduction, but the roasted potatoes were actually cold, and I'm quite sure were old, kinda through the rest of the dish off. I thought the prices were OK and it really had a nice decor, and perhaps I would go back in a pinch... But I'm not gonna recommend it...

Went here on the way home from church. Walked in to a very clean, empty restaurant. The waitstaff was nice... then we opened the menu. We all agreed that $20+ per plate was a little expensive for lunch. Perhaps the food is good enough to price dinner in this range, but we never found out. We politely left in search of a more affordable meal.

Absolutely not recommended. My family and I went last night for a birthday dinner. We tried to make a reservation but the rude person who answered the phone said she would only make a reservation if we had six people in our party. We had five. We told her it was a special birthday occasion and she still was not interested in helping us. We got there about 6:30p.m on a Wednesday night and the hostess told us there was an hour to an hour and a half wait. I was shocked. We then went into the bar area and had dinner in there. The waitress was so rude and not the least bit attentive. She would quickly ask us what we wanted and then would literally run away so fast, we didn't have a chance to ask a question or order something else. The Cosmo we ordered was just awful. It was sent back after only one sip but the waitress never took it off our bill. The food was terrible. All the pasta dishes were pasty and soaking in oil and water. It was like they pulled hot pasta out of the boiling water and just slapped it in a bowl without properly draining it. The meatballs had a foul taste and everything was just pasty, watery and tasteless. The service was so terrible. We felt like we were bothering the waitress just being there. She knew we were celebrating a birthday and she did nothing at all to help us with that. She was barely there. We always found ourselves waiting for her and when she did come to the table it was for a nano-second. The owner even came to the table and delivered a salad and didn't make eye contact with anyone and never said a word. It was just so bazaar. We came to Teresa's after seeing it reviewed on The Phantom Gourmet. It seems almost every restaurant the Phantom recommends is nothing to write home about. It's not really good food, it only plays it on TV.

Have been to this restaurant on several occasions and the food's OK. There are usually eight of us. Last night I ordered several dinners for take out. When I got the order home (a 30 mile roundtrip) I discovered that they had not included 2 of the dinners I ordered. I c alled and was treated rudely. No apology, no extra consideration. First they suggested I would need to return to the restaurant with my credit card to get a credit for the food I did not receive but was charged. I protested and the young woman suggested I speak with the owner. However, when she returned to the call she told me effectively the owner wasn't interested in talking with me. The last straw? The food we did get was mediocre. Seems the reviews it's gotten on Phantom Gourmet have gone to its head. I guess I'll take my business and my money elsewhere.

Been there a couple of times, always sitting in the bar area. Nice and cozy (and warm as my wife, who is always cold, likes to point out) . Extremely friendly waitstaff . Owner always comes by to say hello, see how things are, I like that. Both times I've had the Pollo Milano, outstanding and too much food to eat in one sitting, can't complain about that. Not cheap but worth it in my opinion. Would definitely recommend it.

My family of four went to Teresa's last night. Our server ,Brian, could not have been more helpful or attentive. The complimentary bread and oil were excellent, as was the garlic bread and cheese appetizers. The chicken parm and ziti with chicken and brocolli were very good. The only problem that we encountered, as we consider ourselves as regular customers, were the baked haddock dinners. In the past we considered the haddock dinners here to better, than most high end seafood restaurants. The haddock fillets are now prebreaded, with what they say are ritz crumbs, and cannot be ordered with light crumbs or no breading as they are prepared in advance. This new recipe cannot hold a candle to the old homemade Teresa's bread crumbs. It's a shame that when restaurants become well established they take short cuts on their food preparation. We will be back, but only when everyone in the group craves Italian food.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
