tucked in on Merrimack st you might miss it, but you would be dead wrong. The food is great, super fresh, done right there and then. try the breakfast burrito, the mild salsa is great. I really hope Chris starts bottleing it.

Holy macroooo! Their grampy's thanksgiving sandwich is so BOMB! They just open the cafe today and my bf and I are the first customer. ^___^ My bf got the Big Mack's buffalo turkey & provolone sandwich, he let me have a bite and it was DELICIOUS! The buffalo sauce was just perfect, not too overpowering, you can still taste it and enjoy your delicious juicy chicken. (Or you can get turkey) My sandwich taste just like thanksgiving dinner.. a little bit of stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce YUMMO! Seriously, you need to give this place a try! I'll definitely be back for more sandwiches. They don't just make sandwhiches, there's also soups & salads. Salads are made FRESH. They rotate different soups througout the week and today's soup -chicken noodles. (Made from scratch) It smells delicious. They also have donuts, muffins, coffee, water, sodas, etc. Oh and I must add, SUPER FRIENDLY customer's service. These guys are great. Great food, friendly service, what more can you ask for? Definitely stop by if you're in downtown! You'll be glad you did. ;)

The other reviewer is spot on. I have had a few things from big chris: the Thanksgiving sandwich, the Grilled Chicken Garden Salad, and the Hot Dog. All of them were as good as I would have hoped. He makes food like it comes from his kitchen... well... because it does. This place is set up like a home kitchen. You are eating a home-cooked meal. Chris is a nice guy. He cares about the important things: Sanitation, ticket time, and being transparent. He obviously has food service experience and he is so much better than the last guy that was there. The portions are not huge, but the prices aren't either. It helps you not over-eat at work anyways. Get a hot-dog with your sandwich if you think you will be hungry after. There is only one downside. It is a one man shop right now. I know how tough it must be in a lunch rush and he handles it so graciously that it doesn't matter to me. Even when he is slammed, he is a quick cook. IMPORTANT: If you go for lunch, give the guy a break and call ahead. Go here, you won't regret it!

Delicious! The Crystal Lee breakfast sandwich is my new favorite thing right now! Egg, spinach, tomato, provolone cheese on a bagel thin. Perfectly satisfying! Everything is made with love and he uses all high-quality ingredients. He doesn't half-ass anything! You can really tell Chris is passionate about cooking! Also, veggie burgers?! I'm pretty sure there is no where else downtown where you can get a veggie burger. Not even at Life Alive. That is a big plus for a vegetarian, like me! You will not be disappointed when you visit Big Chris' Brown Bag Café. Also, keep in mind you will be supporting a small business while receiving quality food and customer service :)

I tried the Crystal breakfast sandwich. Filing but not overly so. Next time I'd take Chris up on the hot sauce he offered for some extra flavor. A great deal.

While walking by I decided to grab a crystal breakfast sandwich. Amazing!!!! Great prices too! The man behind the counter is actually Big Chris and you can see the effort he puts in to this small shop. The locals all go here.
