First place we tried and it was yummy! Brandy was really nice and suggested the fried eggplant. It was petty good, but wish we got the alligator. Gumbo was great! Lots of shrimp, wished it was a little spicier though. My husband got the catfish po- boy and that was on point! My only complaint is that it was really dark, making it hard to read the menu.

I enjoyed my time here tonight! The restaurant is very new, and I hope it stays around a long time! I went tonight for a drink and wound up ordering an appetizer. I ordered the Cajun Cannon Fries and an Angry Orchard cider. I'd like to go back and try some other items. The prices on many of the entrees seem to be a little expensive but the food looks good. I'll have to update my review when I try a few more items, but I would like to mention the service was excellent!

This is a new addition to Metairie but we ended up there twice in a week! Actually, it was the seafood gumbo that had me back for the second trip! The loaded crawfish fries were yummy as was the gumbo, the chowder, the shrimp and the pi-boys. I can see Bobby expanding this restaurant to a few different locations.

A friend and I decided to check out the Cajun Cannon Restaurant for lunch. I had read the few reviews on Yelp which were encouraging, so I was looking forward to the experience. I also love Bobby Hebert, the pride of Cut Off, Louisiana and South Lafourche High School The space is oddly designed. You enter a little right of center and are facing the bar with the hostess stand on your right. There are two dining rooms, a smaller one to the right and a larger to the left. The décor is pretty pedestrian, rather dim and uninspiring. My guess is very little was spent comparatively speaking on remodeling what was Carmine's. The high top tables and booths in the small dining room were drab and uninviting. There are a fair number of TV's, most of them tuned to news channels, FOX and CNN. One TV tuned was tuned ESPNU. Wall decorations consisted of Bobby's newspaper clippings, Saints stuff, etc. The music was Farrell ("I'm Happy, etc.") and other pop tunes. In sum, not your average sports bar, and not very inviting on any front. The food was what I expected. My dining companion and I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo and split a seafood platter. The gumbo was above average, with good flavor and consistency. It is served with a back fin of the crab crawling out the bowl, a nice touch. A bowl of rice on the side would have been another nice touch. It would also have been nice to get more than one pack of crackers and to get a decent brand of crackers. Premium saltines are the only way to go. When will restaurant owners get that. But I have no complaints at all about the gumbo. The seafood platter was more than enough for two. It consists of 4 each of oysters, shrimp, and catfish, a mound of fries, plus a small cup of coleslaw which I forgot to taste. (My bad cuz I love coleslaw.) The fries were frozen batter fries, well fried and crispy. The seafood had a medium breading with a little kick of pepper and was cooked correctly although the catfish was a bit greasy, and I detected a hint of too old oil. I would say it was not at all a bad effort, but there is better fried seafood in New Orleans than this. I also think fried seafood should be served atop buttered white toast, a throwback old school way to do it which I think Bobby would appreciate since he's an old school kinda guy. But alas no white toast. The service was fine. The servers are all extremely young girls dressed when we were there in little baseball outfits, cute but not tacky or cheesy. Our server was Christina who was a cute little girl, a real doll, and a good server. My only complaint here was the timing of the food coming out. The gumbo came out a few minutes after we ordered. Not unusual at all. But we were only 3 spoonfuls in when the seafood platter arrived. I'm not sure if they do it that way on purpose, but, regardless, I think there needs to be a gap between the gumbo and the main course. It also smacks of fried seafood sitting around the kitchen waiting to be piled on the plate. Some of the other menu items looked more ambitious than what we ordered, and I would be interested to try them. This place was just good enough to merit a return.

This place is a nice, friendly sports bar with many TV screens! The servers were very friendly and came back a few times to make sure everything was okay. I had seafood gumbo and it was so delish and it wasn't pricey at all for the size I got.

I've only had carry out from this restaurant, and I know it's new, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt as far as atmosphere and venue. Pretty much, the second star is assuming they blew both of those out of the water. My stepfather picked up some food from here for my mother and me on his way home. I has a cheeseburger - ugh. Was that even meat? Bread was good My mom had chicken fingers - spicy, spicy. I know some people like that, but I couldn't eat them French fries - also very spicy, but I don't mind that. They were hot. I was hungry. I ate them. All together, I'd have to assume this was bar food. But this is not bar food on the Lager's or Bulldog level. Quite a bit below that. Hoping they will improve and these are opening technical difficulties. I'll give them another shot and redo the review if there are any improvements. (Crossing my fingers and hoping.) In our fine city, you've got to do better than that. Bobby Hebert's name can only get you so far; it can't keep you open.

I didn't have very high expectations about the food (beyond maybe a good burger) going in for the first time but I was generally pleasantly surprised by the options. The theme here seems to be a mash up of Hooter's, Twin Peaks, Walk Ons and Copeland's but with generally better food. The menu is full of traditional New Orleans fare and a very respectable selection of seafood. I had the gumbo and it was quite good with larger shrimp than you generally get in gumbo. I also had the burger and it was a decent tasting larger burger but I probably wouldn't get it again as there are better burgers elsewhere and there are so many better dishes on the menu here that I want to try. The service was far too slow many times so they still have some new restaurant breaking in to do but the food was all good. The parking lot was completely full during my lunch visit so there is still the new restaurant initial run of crazy crowds going on here. My server informed me that nobody has yet conquered their burger challenge which is to eat a 7 patty burger within 30 minutes (that burger is about $50 and your prize is you get to eat it for free if you complete the challenge).

The next best thing to great food is great service. So let me first say our server was absolutely lovely, very good service, Kelsey, Thank you! We appreciated the team work style service as well. The only thing is that we did feel a bit rushed, I thiik this may be general practice to turn over tables when the place gets packed. The food was VERY GOOD! We had the Cajun fries as an appetizer (a must have), the Sea food platter... YUM, and the Mardi Gras past... OH YEAH I almost licked the plate. My honey and I try new restaurants every week, we have added this spot as out to go to sports reataurant for the future.

I'm sure this place deserves 4 stars, but based on just my experience today and the food that I had, I'm giving it an average 3 stars because while some points were great, there were also a few turn-offs for me so it all sort of averaged out to 3 stars. The seafood platter looked really good so maybe I'll give that a try next time and submit an update later on. The atmosphere is on par with the sports theme and decor. There is indeed more tv's than anyone could ever want on every wall and an impressive surround sound system. I couldn't help but notice this impressive surround sound system as it was blaring all the pop hits of Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, and Katy Perry....not really sports bar music....and maybe a bit loud for my taste....but it sure made for a peppy atmosphere. I also noticed all the servers were very nice, and they were all female, but not in a "slutty sports bar" kind of way, it was very family friendly. For starters, I was told it was happy hour which consists of half off drafts and half off margaritas/select cocktails. I glanced at the draft menu and as a woman who loves good beer, I honestly felt it was sort of lacking. They did have Abita Amber, Stella and Blue Moon on draft but that's about as fancy as it gets besides your typical American watery beer fare (aka bud light, miller lite, etc.). This is a key reason why I don't go to places like Twin Peaks because I'm so baffled at how an American Sports bar can manage to have such few draft selections. I try to be open minded about these things but when your bar takes up half your restaurant, and your an advertised "sports bar," I can't help but feel a little disappointed at such a limited beer menu. Having said that I did notice they had a decent bottle selection...if that's your thing. So I settled for a margarita instead....which tastes entirely like sweet and sour mix. If there was anything else in the margarita besides sweet and sour mix than I did not taste it. It might as well have been a virgin cocktail. So, ok, I didn't get off to the greatest start here. We got the Cajun Cannon's Oysters, Alligator Jalapeño Kickers, and a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was delicious and flavorful. You would be surprised how many Cajun restaurants in New Orleans have a disappointing gumbo. So a good gumbo to me is definitely something to be noted and praised. The Alligator Jalapeño Kickers where great too, super moist on the inside and super crunchy on the outside. My only point with that dish is the remoulade sauce it comes with as a dip seems like a low grade bottled remoulade dressing. It kind of just tasted like a bland mayonnaise based sauce. Perhaps it's not homemade? But ya know, not everyone makes all their own dressings in-house. Sometimes it's easy to get spoiled in this city with all the homemade remoulade in the area. The Cajun Cannon's Oysters is what they term chargrilled oysters. When they first came to the table I was really excited because they were visually stunning. We even caught the attention of other nearby tables. The oysters came draped in a creamy, cheesy, garlic sauce with extra sauce in the middle. But they are not traditional chargrilled oysters so the menu is a bit deceiving. Upon further consumption of the oysters I felt a bit disappointed. The sauce was just overwhelming. The oysters were smothered entirely in it. Don't get me wrong, the sauce itself was delicious, but I wish they wouldn't have just poured it all over the plate because it just masked the taste if the oysters entirely. I was doing the math and I realized there was at least 5 more oysters left on the plate but I could not physically find them because I was fishing through mounds of soupy cream sauce just trying to decipher what was sauce and what was an oyster. It was probably the first time I've ever felt like an order of chargrilled oysters were so rich that I couldn't finish them! However, the size of the oysters were HUGE and looked amazing at first just based on size alone so it's sort of a shame that they masked all that great smokey flavor with such a heavy cream sauce. The oysters certainly seemed well cooked too, it's like they were trying to cover up something that doesn't need to be covered up. I did notice upon leaving that there was a suggestion box at the front which I think is great for any new restaurant. Plus it means they are open to improvements so perhaps I'll be able to report a good update next time I decide to try it out again this game season.

Either the restaurant is very inconsistent, the owner read's every review/comment and tries to modify, OR the rest of these reviewers are crazy! We got to the restaurant just before 8 pm and had an appetizer and all of our dinner and a last minute addition of cajun fries by 8:25. The service was better and more efficient than I have ever received at any restaurant of this kind. And oh wait, just in case it's not on point, they have a call button on your table to get your server, the manager, or the bill. This was our first time actually dining in, but we have ordered take out twice before so clearly we do like the food. I do think it probably depends on what you order though. Hebert Cajun Fries...Amazing! Fried seafood platter to go, not great after having the fries. Tonight we had the crab cake appetizer, the bbq shrimp, the blackened redfish with fried crawfish, and of course the cajun fries. And it was all for a grand total of $59 and had plenty to take home. I do not find that over priced for this type of establishment. The food was all very delicious BUT would have been even better if it was hotter. It is obvious that most of the food is pre-prepared so their sauce line needs to be much hotter than it is or they need to be tossing it in the skillet with every order to bring it up to temp. If it weren't for that I definitely would have given 5 stars which I do sparingly. I would eat there again for sure. I think most of the bad reviews must be out of confusion of what type of restaurant to compare it to. Yes there are TVs and jerseys all over, but you can't compare it to a run of the mill sports bar. Yes there is a casual laid back atmosphere, but you can't compare it to the price you would expect from Applebees. The drinks are definitely very well priced! the cajun cannon ball is a 60oz drink for $14.95! the next closest place to get that is Rum House and it is $18. I can't say if it is as good as that because I don't like tequila. but it looks and sounds great. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I had a great experience there and would recommend it for sure.

Ok I gotta start by saying this is a takeout food review. That being said I was a little impressed. Ok maybe a little more than impressed. I called around 5:15 Saturday afternoon to place a Togo order for myself and two friends. I hate the fact when calling in you had to be transferred to the bar for them to take the order. Seemed a bit inefficient. But I guess it works for them. When I finally got a girl on the phone she seemed a bit rushed and unsure of the few questions I threw here way. However, I got the order in and patiently waited for my friend to pick up the order and bring it home. Needless to say it was worth the wait. Def recommend the GUMBO. We ordered two bowls to split between the three of us. Best chain restaurant gumbo! I had the Thibodeau burger with a side of zucchini. More squash than zucchini, but still yummy. The other two dishes was the crispy chicken salad and the roast beef Po boy with sweet potato fries. After snagging bites from my friends food when they were not looking I have to say everything was great. Will I order again?! You bet! Especially the GUMBO. I know I keep bringing up the GUMBO but hey it really was that GOOD!!!!!

The food was amazing ,and the staff was very nice. There were a lot of TVs that played different sport channels. Since I am a sports fan, I loved the different sports memorabilia from sports like football, basketball, baseball, and golf.

I came, I saw, i was unimpressed.whether it was Black Drum, Corvina or some other substitute, the goldfish shaped fillet of fish on my plate was not redfish. Being a native Louisianan i know redfish and that it t'wernt. And it was poorly frozen to boot. I guess I extended too much in honesty regarding fish. Most restaurants lie about what they serve. That is a shame and it's why I won't go back to this place. In addition the ubiquitous "sauce a'la Maison" was very Coplandsey. The place was just not worth it. Find an alternative place. Service was fine. Decor was loud echo filled concrete floor sports bar. In the end, it just kinda sucked. I'm driven to not eat fish in New Orleans restaurants anymore. The nicest thing I can say was that the ice was cold.

  • Mimi S.

Bland bland bland! Oh did I mention it was bland? I am very disappointed I expected so much more. The food was flavorless. T-bone Steak tasted like something from a hospital or u could get from an IHOP. The red Fish tasted like an entree from Piccadilly. The drinks were the only thing ok and maybe the crawfish fries. This would be a great place to go if the food was much better.

Love this place Favorite dish is Cannon Redfish and the gumbo is some of the best I have ever had, Also my favorite dessert is the Bananas Foster Ice Cream cake. Some of the best service anywhere, everyone working there I encountered spoke and offered to help in any way. Really made an impression.. Our server was Dustin and he was exceptional

I HIGHLY recommend you come here if you are interested in having nice Cajun flavor for dinner;) Great food, great service, and a friendly atmosphere!!! Cajun food is on spot with the seasonings and taste, my father personally loves Cajun but he's picky on traditional Cajun meals, let's just say he LOVES it. We got the fries covered in a Cajun sauce with crawfish for an appetizer. It was really good and tasty! Fries weren't soggy either like I had expected it to be. Besides, I really dislike that "nacho-cheese" taste that most fries are smothered with. These fries were different, and amazing! My BBQ shrimp was tender and deliciously seasoned also! I now have a new favorite restaurant:) The bar looks really nice, there are tons of large flatscreen tvs also. Tons of beer choices too. Our waiter was William, ask for him and tell him he was recommended lol

Everything was delicious!! We started with the spicy alligator kickers. They came out piping hot and were very tasty! I had the Blackened Redfish Lafourche with the mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. I hardly ever eat all of my food but this was so good that I could resist!! My love had the Bobby & Deke's Mardi Gras Pasta. It was so good that he cleaned the plate!! We shared a delicious Cajun Cannon Ball. We will definitely be back!!

We dined here today and everyone who knows me know that this is one of my favorite places in the city. We were seated at a decent time. Our server was Danette and she was amazing. She was very friendly, bubbly and relatable. She had our drinks, appetizers and food out promptly. This go round I tried the Mardi Gras Pasta and was just as pleased as I have been with my other selections in the past. If you go to Bobby Hebert's, make sure you ask for Danette as your waitress. You won't be disappointed.

The staff of was very polite and attentive. My husband had the catfish platter and was pleased. I had the JoJo salad and it was just ok....way too much of the vinaigrette dressing....was overpowering The best was the crab and corn bisque...on point! Bananas Foster cake for dessert and just ok.

I went with a friend here I got the redfish with the crawfish sauce on top it was not good. . For this restaurant being dedicated to new Orleans menu it had NO FLAVOR!! Was not worth it I was very dissapointed. You could tell the fish is frozen the texture was awful!! I would rather pay extra for fresh fish any day! My friend got the salad with grilled chicken it wasn't that bad but like I said no flavor on the chicken. The ambience of this restaurant is nice but they need to step there game up on the food!!

Really great sports bar atmosphere. Probably big Screen TV'd in the bar and restaurant. Wife got the gumbo and fried crawfish tails, and I got the Mardi Gras pasta. I hate seafood, but the Mardi Gras pasta with shrimp and crawfish tails was wonderful. Had a great garlic butter sauce. Only bad side, when I order a margarita I expect it to not be the 11 dollar 1800 margarita unless I ask for it.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews here, overpriced and a bit underwhelming. It looks like a nice sports bar on the inside and everything seemed clean so that was great. Our server was nice, but didn't tell us about the specials they had (we heard about them when the table behind us was told about them) and that always annoys us. Although she did tell us about the desserts that weren't listed on the menu. The food was good, but not really worth the price. The seafood platter we shared was actually pretty good (fish, crab cake, shrimp and fries; no oysters which made my husband happy), but the appetizer and dessert were way over sauced. The cajun fries were swimming in crawfish cream sauce and the bread pudding had so much sauce it was hard to not spill it over the plate (and it was not a small plate). Other than that we were happy with the experience. We may stop in again for dinner if we find ourselves in Metairie (the burgers looked good), but the price is way too much for lunch.

    (3)
  • Katie L.

Over priced and underwhelming! First of all it was during a Monday Night Football game and it was disappointing that there were no drink specials what so ever! We started with the eggplant sticks- which were good. I ordered the special which was the seared tuna. Very disappointing. Way too much BBQ sauce with the tuna and the side dishes (mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables) are beyond sad. My Dad got the T-Bone which was extremely spicy with the blackening seasoning. My husband liked his Mardi Gras pasta but for $18 I would hope so. Overall I wouldn't go back. If I want to go to a sports bar next time I will choose Lagers or something more suitable for the price.

Can you image I sent it back and order the crab cake pasta with was bad as well but I didn't wanna be complainer so I just took it to go and have it to my husband! Would probably never return there food remind me apple bees but a bit worse

Popped over here for dinner and fell in love. First things first, Stella on tap! Then our waitress Christi is absolutely fantastic and I'd return for her even if the food wasn't great. But it is. The duck? Killer. The fries? Life changing. Absolutely come here. You must!!

This place is fabulous! We've been here three times so far, and we have yet to be disappointed. The food is wonderful, the waitstaff is very friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant can't be beat. Suitable for any type of occasion, it seems, which is definitely a plus. Will be recommending it to everyone I know!

What does an ex-football player know about running a restaurant? Good question. I decided to run a Hail Mary over to Bobby Hebert's Cajun Cannon Restaurant (can the name be any longer?) and see what the fuss was about. I have to say, I like the hours.... it's nice to have another restaurant that doesn't close at 9pm in the city. This place is open at least to 11pm on weeknights. The decor is quite nice and the layout and design of the place is very classy and comfortable. I'm not a huge sports-bar fan, but this place isn't as chaotic to the senses as your typical sports bar. The waitstaff are enthusiastic, attentive and perky. The kitchen service appears to be very speedy as well. I like the location, the parking, etc... it's a well-executed place in terms of design, location, staffing. However, there are a few things I am less impressed with. For one, the prices are significantly-higher than your typical sports bar, and the menu is noticeably derivative of a half-dozen other types of places, all with significantly-lower prices. Ok, so it's an upscale sports bar, and that warrants having a basic burger cost $11, and cheese fries $10? If you say so. This stuff better be good. We tried a number of items on the menu, from their salad to the crab cakes and gumbo and appetizers. Portions were pretty good (except when it came to the salads -- I thought they could be a little more substantive given the pretty high prices). The food is good quality, some better than others. The gumbo was very basic - nothing special -- the kind of gumbo an out-of-towner will rave about but a local will go, "Meh, I can do better..." Nothing special. The crab cakes are pretty good but lack enough diversity in texture -- nice-sized and loaded with crab meat and well-spiced. I actually found a small piece of cardboard in my crab cake that looks like it came off the top of a bottle of something.. at first I thought it was a mushroom, but it looked like the stopper from the top of a bottle... bad QA there. Most disappointing was the fried eggplant.. while substantive, it was unnecessarily greasy and the dipping sauce was uninspiring. I hate to admit it but send your chef over to Cheesecake factory and have him sample their fried zucchini plate -- that's how it's done. Also there appears to be discrepancies between the prices printed on the menu and what you get charged for - check your bill. Myself as well as one other person caught these while we were there. All in all, I expect more from a place that charges significantly more for standard cajun fare in a city filled with tons of places that offer more for less. They're going to need to up their game in the second half to be competitive.

Went here and the gumbo was really delicious! I've had gumbo from several restaurants in the city and surrounding areas that prepare their gumbo with oysters; they didn't here and I'm so happy!!! The shrimp were big as the ones I put in my own gumbo. I will say, for the price and to be served at a restaurant (not all restaurant gumbo is good)... Pretty good. The Cajun Shrimp Pasta was also very tasty! They would have gotten five stars had the saltines been fresh and not stale (let's go with a name branded cracker please).

Simply perfect. I took my grand daughter for a quick bite to eat and everything was superb. Allison was amazing and so wonderful with my grand daughter. I LOVE this place. It's pretty new and I was skeptical. It's a sports bar atmosphere so I expected maybe amplified expensive bar food. Oh no, not at all. The food is beyond fantastic. I ordered a Bloody Mary and was super impressed. Best Bloody Mary I've ever had. And it was so New Orleans... with olives and snap beans and pepper vodka. Not too spicy. Perfect! We got the crab cake appetizer and the duck and split it since it it's a lot of food. So delicious. I'd even say I'm a connoisseur of crab cakes. Hands down, best Ever. We were feeling adventurous about the duck...duck is difficult to impress with and easy to screw up. My country boy fiancé loves duck...he said it was the best duck he's ever had. We can't say enough how much we really enjoyed the food. It is a little pricy. $55 for a beer, a bloody mary, the appetizer and the duck entree. But it was worth every cent and we will be back a bunch. Nicole was our waitress and she's very professional and polite and friendly. The host who seated us, Anthony (? I think) even pulled out my chair when seating us. Classy touch in a sports bar atmosphere! The chef delivered our food. Way to go Bobby Hebert, you did the damn thing! My only suggestion would be adding a lunch menu with smaller portions of the entrées. I wish I had room for dessert, the desserts look fantastic.

This place is chaotic! Service is not up to par it took 20 mins to get drinks. Food is constantly coming to our table that isn't ours. The servers can't keep up. Food is good but it's defiantly not my go to place in the Metairie area. Drink refills were nonexistent we waited 15 mins for refills we had to get another waiter then the manager to get my refills. Alcoholic beverages were good. Final thought of this place after finishing the meal this place is not good and I would not recommend it unless they get their stuff together.

This sports bar/restaurant has a nice, but rather plain exterior, and the interior is wall-to-wall televisions and sports memorabilia. It is very busy and lively. We ordered the lunch special Seafood Platters ($17.95), which came with cole slaw, fried catfish, fried butterflied shrimp, and a rather huge crab ball, all positioned atop fries and onion rings. All of it was absolutely delicious and outstanding. Not the least bit greasy. We highly recommend it! RJT

Any assumption about this place is probably correct. At the end of the day... It is what it is. Local sports celebrity opens sports bar/restaurant in suburbia main strip. Niche? Its Cajun. If your from here you know that means it's gonna loud and to some... obnoxiously loud. Is that a bad thing? Maybe if you're not a Saints or LSU fan. Food? Bar food meets Cajun. Or better yet Cajun meets bar food. Does it work? Probably so. In Metairie it will. Came here last night to check it out. As soon as the door open is was hit what sounded a tens of people yacking away as the LSU game was air a every direction above 10 feet. Hostesses, waitresses and bartenders wearing shorts with knee socks and showing cleavage were running rampant everywhere. As I screamed my name to the hostess to get a table we sat at the bar an ordered an appetizer(Cajun fries). That appetizer came out in no time and once we finished it, our table was ready. We ordered gumbo, gator balls fritters and cheeseburger w/fries to amply sample everything we could eat. Conclusion. Food was great as long as its Cajun. The gumbo, gator balls and Cajun fries were all a homerun... Except that burger. It was skimpy, frozen and generic. Definitely the weak link of their menu. Either eliminate it from the menu or step it up. The service was very attentive and the manager even took his time to let me know his concern regarding the burger when I addressed the issue to the waitress. Will it always be like this? Time will tell. If your here to checkout the waitresses you'll be better off at Hooter's or Twin Peaks... But the service here was far better. Would I come back? Yes. It's convenient and good for a weekday lunch meeting. The one thing I that expected and would be a definite key player on the menu that would put this place over the top was "gator wings". My type of place? Nooo! Go Green Wave!

I think surprised is the best way to describe this this place.odiously a long time saints fan I had to try it. I really thought it was gonna be a generic gimmick sports bar. Boy was I wrong. First and foremost great service. Second the food was outstanding. I had the Cajun redfish topped with crawfish. We also had the crab cakes and the Alfredo pasta. I I though I was eating at a fancy restaurant in the quarter.very good mix of pub grub and Creole Cajun food. Suggestion try the bananas foster ice cream cake.

Very impressed with the food and how fast the food was served.. Plenty of tvs like a buffalo wild wings but service and food that definitely topped copelands.

The ribs were decent hamburger burnt fries cold TV,s everywhere just another Buffalo Wild Wings nothing special,we are in dire need of a good consistent restaurant the 5 star reviews must be friends or family members.

Never again. Should have left when 30 min wait turned to an hour plus. Food ok at best. And when I asked them to sing happy birthday to my niece who was turning 6 tomorrow they said no - only for birthdays today. Total time wasted here 2:30 hours. Go someplace else if you are smart.

Well we have been holding out hope here so let's start the experience. We walked into an empty restaurant with 5 very attentive hostesses. Wondered why it took so long to sit a party of five. So they seat us and then a party of six gets seated next to us and half way during dinner another party of 8 sits on other side of us. Getting a little cramped here with chairs hitting each other and wait staff that couldn't fit in between. So 3 in our party ordered the Iced Tea and 3 in our party asked for something different. Don't think it's fresh brewed and bad after taste. Ordered fried eggplant and onion rings. Eggplant was good but onion rings were sparse and bland. On to the Entrees. Red beans and rice were creamy and nice flavor. Fried shrimp poboy was good, shrimp was nice size. Chicken Alfredo, well as my daughter put it, "It is slightly better than than something I microwave". Mardi Gras pasta was actually best dish of the bunch. We also had the Chicken Lafreniere started off good until my son got to the dry chicken breast. Found it an over priced meal for an average experience. So you ask why not the average grade of 3 stars. Well 2 of those stars fell off when all 5 of us become sick less than an hour after getting home. Sorry Bobby this is an incomplete pass.

Twice visited. First time I had the redfish covered in crawfish sauce. So-so. Seems like a dish for another restaurant. Hebert's is loud and the walls are covered by televisions. Think sports bar. Second time I had the fried shrimp. MUCH better. An abundance of fresh Gulf shrimp seasoned well. Fried crispy and drained. Onions rings were even better. Fries weren't spectacular. Enough shrimp to bring home and then some. Get a beer. Order simply. Burger, "basket" of something, and beer.

This was my first visit here. This was a very busy restaurant & yet they were still able to maintain great service! I had the pelican salad which was grilled redfish laid on top of a spring mix salad tossed with a feta vinaigrette dressing. The fish was cooked perfectly & nicely seasoned although I would have preferred more seasoning (just my preference). It was still delicious! My daughter had the kids hamburger and she said it was very good. The onion rings were good but they don't give you many. My father had the Ahi tuna which he said was delicious & my mother had the crab bisque which she also said was good. I definitely would return.

Okay so I came here again (against my better judgement) for my best friends birthday dinner. Our server Sara didn't even try to go the extra mile for our group (I guess she figured she was already getting a tip because it's added in our check) so when ordering my food when speaking with her I said I wanted to have the Cajun fries but I didn't want the crawfish sauce instead I wanted to have the roast beef debris. Then I say well wouldn't it make sense I guess to just have a side of fries with the debris and they just add that together. Well she tells me I'm sure that can happen. When we finally get the fries omg I wish I would have taken a pic of them there was no juice from the roast beef at all so it was like dried meat and fries. Which her was fine because I decided I would take them home and doctor them. But then to my surprise when I get the bill that she charged me 14 bucks for the Cajun fries add roast beef debris! Um no, so when the manager comes no apology it's like she wasn't even listening to me and I told her I would kindly give them the food back because I didn't touch them but I told her just looking at it this didn't look like it should have been 14 bucks for fries and dry meat! So all she does is take of the roast beef debris and still charge me for the Cajun fries (even though there was not a drop of Cajun sauce on my fries). All I can tell you much like my first review stand clear from this place because if there is a conflict they aren't too sure how to handle that for you. I was very upset and displeased when I left that place!!! I wish I could have given negative stars for this visit.

The food was tasty and very filling. Our waitress was very attentive. Also like the tvs. Would probably be a good place to come and watch a game while grabbing some drinks and something to eat.

Very good. I had the Cajon Hebert fries...they were so good. I was full so I didn't order anything else. My friend had the BBQ shrimp. She said it was spicy and good. Make sure that if you love pecan pie to try the Kentucky bourbon pecan pie. You will not be disappointed

I really enjoyed the food and the service. It took about a half an hour to get a table not too bad for a Saturday night

Ordered blackened Steak, it was thin, not prime, nor choice, covered in what appeared to be Tony' seasoning. . It was fried, doubt it was cooked in a cast iron skillet. No crust whatsoever. . It was drenched in Salt. . I explained to the waitress and she had manager come over, he took the Steak and I reordered without it being blackened. . Had little flavor. . Then the bill came, both steaks were on it and the manager explained it was Policy on returned food to charge for both. . He did eventually remove it. . CAVEAT EMPTOR. . I will not return ever, given the prices I expect top notch waitstaff as well as customer service. . The later department was sorely missing in the manager.

Very happy with my first time experience here. I think our server was Tiffany and my boyfriend and I had excellent service. I noticed that all the servers helped each other out (running food, clearing plates, etc.) which shows really nice teamwork. My boyfriend and I were in the mood for seafood and we shared a side of fries, crawfish tails, the crab cake pasta and crab cake entree. No complaints there; food was good and portions were generous. I also had a Bloody Mary that was pretty good. There were plenty of other specialty drinks on their drink menu and all seemed reasonably priced. The setup was your typical sports bar atmosphere with plenty of large TVs on every wall. I'd like to go back again.

    (4)
  • Michael C.

Ok ,overpriced, but ok if you want to watch a game you will run out of food and catch yourself knawing on a napkin, they should have bigger apps, chips even. Food not bad ,fish good ,eggplant very good but needs to be bigger portion .Staff great .One more complaint, when someone has a birthday they bang on a plate with spoon or knife very loudly , its very annoying as is birthday announcements in restaurants, just don't do it its stupid ,yes its stupid. Ok that said ,try Bobby's place, tell them that he could do a bit better and we'll come back for more, get it, more

Just moved to New Orleans from Texas and have been trying every hole in the wall to fine dining that people have recommended to us. This was not one brought up but we drove past it everyday on the way to work... Decided to try it out. Best decision ever! They have like a crawfish cream sauce that is amazing, and they have it on several dishes. I got the redfish lafoursch (spell?) that is blackened redfish on a bed of mashed potatoes and covered in the cream sauce and both crawfish tails and fried crawfish tails! I'm obsessed and refuse to try anything else but that's where my husband comes into play! Mardi Gras pasta is amazing as well as red beans and rice! Probably not the "authentic" Cajun taste that most describe but still really good!

We tried to schedule a large girls night out, and the maître d' was quite rude. She ended up telling us in a longer way that we would be better off going somewhere else. We were trying to give the new restaurant business, but they were not welcoming at all.

  • Lauren C.

We were just driving by, never heard of the place, it was packed for lunch. Quick service and like 3 people came up to us before we left to ask us how we were and if we were enjoying and come back soon and holding the door open. We both got wraps and sweet potato fries. Both to die and dressing with so much flavor. Can't wait to go back and try all the cool stuff on the menu.

Back again, this time to only have a couple of drinks after work. By far the best Bloody Marys I've ever had and the bartenders, Holly V, Sophia and Dustin were very observant and kept me laughing! Great visit this evening!

  • K B.

Had lunch today. Our waiter, Lindsey was awesome!!! Everyone was friendly. The food was good. We had the Bobby Hebert fries for app. Really good! For entree we split the crab cakes and the Redfish Lafourche. Which was blackened with the crawfish cream sauce. The crab cakes were greasy. The redfish was really good. The same crawfish cream sauce from the fries was everything. Good but need other options. Would definitely return!!

    (4)
  • Chad G.

This place is so so. For a restaurant with a sports theme I feel their beer selection was small. The staff was very nice and the food was OK. I'im not disappointed I stopped in, but I doubt I will visit again.

    (3)
  • Angie B.

A little overboard on the crawfish cream sauce...the Cajun fries have it, the sautéed redfish has it, the jambalaya pasta has it; hence, everything tastes exactly alike. Needs a little more originality. Peach margarita was good though. Swamp tea, not so much...

  • Jamie B.

I have nothing but great things to say! I went for a Saints game and I will back 100 times! We had a large group and the waitress was fantastic, I wish I got her name. She even split our checks with no problems and said if we check in to FB that we could get a free bread pudding. What waitrss does that, how nice! I loved the corn and crab bisque, the bbq shrimp, the bread pudding, the crab cakes and the cannon punch! Everything so good and great service. Tvs are everywhere! It's like Buff Wild Wings but better (and an oven that works). The only thing to watch out for is the floor is a lil slick. It seems to be the style of tile they have bc it was a slick all over but be cautious when walking in. No one fell, but for old ppl I wanted to throw out a warning. I will be back!

    (5)
  • G M.

The food and service is outstanding. The blackened redfish alone is worth the trip. Add the fact that there's plenty of TVs and this place is a winner.

Bienvenue Bobby Hebert's Cajun Cannon Restaurant & Bar to Metry! Cut Off comes to town in this beautiful new venue on Veterans Blvd. My wife and I totally enjoyed our dining experience. The ALLIGATOR JALAPEÑO KICKERS were an excellent starter, well fried and spicy but not so spicy that you couldn't taste anything else. We split the FRIED SEAFOOD PLATTER which came to the table hot and with enough for both of us. The fried catfish while well seasoned was slightly soggy. I'm sure my bayou brotha' is gonna set the kitchen straight though. We South Lafourche boys know that momma never served up no soggy catfish on Friday night! Our server was Renee and she was friendly, knowledgable and professional. She rocked totally rocked customer service! Overall great experience at the Cajun Cannon. Check it out! Who knows...you may just see dat ol' Rougarou sipping on a nice cold Abita while you're there! I'm sure he's gonna hear about Bobby Hebert's Cajun Cannon!

Love this place!! The service is great. We have been several times. We always ask for Renee ! She is great, always has a smile, great with kids and makes the already fun atmosphere even more fun! We have had the chance to try several of the food selections. The Cajun Fries are delicious. The red beans are creamy and very flavorful. TV's everywhere so you never have a bad seat to watch a game. We live a few blocks away, so we will definitely be back!! We will also be asking for Renee and some Cajun Fries & of course a Dixie!!!

  • Jimmy S.

I went here for lunch the other day. Some of the same Cajun fare on the menu with a few twists of their own. I wanted to try the gumbo, but we weren't too hungry, so we went straight to the entrees. at first, it seems the prices for each item were 1 or 2 dollars more compared to similar restaurants. But, it is more than worth it. I ordered the oyster poboy, and my wife had the shrimp poboy. The oysters and shrimp were of high quality....big, not small popcorn shrimp like some of the other restaurants. When I bit into the sandwich, it was one of the best tasting poboys I have had. They put a coleslaw and remolaude sauce which is very tasty. Tv's all over on the walls. Looks like a great place to watch the game. I was surprised about the good service so far, with it being a new restaurant. I would go back, especially to try the gumbo. Big portions, big flavor!

Horrible experience from when we walked in the doors til we left from a horrible meal. I can say that none of the 8 first timers that were with us will ever be back.

  • C C.

Over the holidays we had a chance to visit with friends and found this sports bar representative of exactly that. To watch and enjoy sports it is indeed an awesome place to do so with great atmosphere and numerous TVs throughout. The food was acceptable as a sports palace but nothing more.

    (3)
  • Michael C.

1 star for the good food. 1 star for the service. Unfortunately this place is trash. Had a party near us with a drunk belligerent woman that was almost getting into an argument with another woman. I discussed this with management and he did nothing about this! This place will be seen on the news soon for someone getting shot here. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE WITH FAMILY. I can't believe Bobby Hebert would have all this trash in his restaurant.

    (2)
  • Johnny H.

Great Cajun food, great place to watch any major sports games. Whatever you order, make sure it's something you can top with their special crawfish mushroom sauce. Like bacon, it goes with just about anything.

    (4)
  • Stephanie F.

Up & downs..... Very nice place. Great place to watch games. Tv's everywhere. The severs were all very nice and the food came out surprisingly fast!! The menu was very similar to some restaurants in the area and definitely pricier. The wings we ordered were good. The BBQ shrimp we had was ok but nothing to brag about. Since I'm from New Orleans I know what our food is suppose to taste like verses an out of towner who may think it's great. The Mardi Gras pasta I ate could have been seasoned more and the sauce was watery. We also ordered a roast beef po-boy that came out dry. It had a little flavor to it but we requested some of the gravy they cook the "side of roast beef" in to pour over it. My personal preference, I'd rather it be cooked in the juice, moist, tender and put right on the bread. I wasn't wowed by the food and IF I ever go there again I'd probably stick to drinks and simpler food.

  • Rachelle N.

We have been here several times since opening and have not had a bad expereince. We ask for Renee every time we go in because her service is wonderful. She remembers what we like to drink and what our kids like to drink and even remembers our name. The burger is good, the blackened chicken po boy is very tasy and the cajun fries are addictive. Yes some of the items are a little high but most of the items are reasonable. The red beans and rice remind me of a local chicken chain and that is a very good thing!

    (4)
  • Shanna L.

    amazing pasta dishes.

  • Aimee L.

From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by the friendly staff. Our server Tanyell was so nice, and very informative about the menu. We ordered the fried eggplant sticks with remoulade sauce which were very good. My hubby was into the sports vibe so he thought a burger was in order for him. I got the Lake Villa ahi tuna which is served with bbq shrimp - it was very delicious. The tuna was such a large portion my husband got to finish it off for for me (which was not a problem for him). The food was good, but the thing that impressed me most about the restaurant was the service. The people who worked there are so friendly and nice - it really left a great impression on us.

    (4)
  • Jason S.

The service was great, but the food was just meh--greasy Mardi Gras, decent wrap (but $14 for it!) If you're looking for a tourist spot, this is it; however, I definitely wouldn't come for the food...

    (3)
  • Kris A.

Its another glorified Lagers. You can tell they did some research when creating their menu. They literally copied every signature item from every Metairie restaurant. Where is the creativity? The sauces taste homemade but the proteins( shrimp, chicken, etc) are definitely frozen. I would recommend this place to someone wanting to sit at the bar to watch sports in a smoke free environment. Super casual, great service, no atmosphere with thoughtless food.

    (3)
  • Kurt L.

Kris is right "to an extent". They have an 'electronic Pancho's flag' where you can pay the bill, summon the waiter, or cancel the waiter. (Personally, all I saw was waitresses). And they could have put those pendants in the trash and would have still been in tune. The chef brings your meals out, so if there is an issue, you can tell him. The bathrooms are spotless. There is football memorabilia all over the over the place, and like this restaurant in Houston, a TV for every game they could show. The manager ( assuming he dresses up) walks amongst the tables asking "is everything ok?" in a low unassuming voice. At first I thought he was Michael Jordan!! Case in point. Great customer service. Not good, not ok, --impeccable. You could order a bay leaf and tree branch salad. If you needed more maple bark dressing they would get it for you. I wondered what the gimmick was to get all these people on Yelp?, and when the bill arrived I realized why! Rate us on Yelp and your meal is free. (NO, just kidding) "just pulling you leg!"- as I was recently told. A business card with "Bobby Hebert's:food, friends, and fun. On the opposite side was a "thank You for visiting us, be sure to stay connected!" Server name: Alyson. Please leave us feedback at tripadvisor / Yelp! Followed by Facebook, Twitter, and their webpage. I would have given them 5 stars, but what type of ragin cajun guy "from da bayou" opens a restaurant with a fried seafood platter & DOESN'T SERVE OYSTERS?!!! (Ugh!)

  • James D.

My fiancé and I decided to check this place out since we had bought a Groupon. We were a little unsure how it would be since many of the earlier reviews mentioned subpar service. I must say, whatever problems they must've been having in those areas seem to have been corrected. I thought the service, with Our server Holly in particular, was very good. Even the food runners would ask if we needed anything when they dropped the food off. As for the food, it was good, but not great. We started with and order of the alligator fritters. They were pretty good, but not a must try. For my entree, I got the crab cake entree and I substituted red beans in place of the mashed potatoes. The crab cakes were good, and the crawfish sauce is a welcomed addition. The real star here was actually the red beans, they were awesome! They definitely taste like Popeyes red beans, which if you've tried Popeyes red beans, you know that is not an insult. They have a red beans entree, I might go for that next time! My fiancé got the crab cake pasta dish and switched out the standard Alfredo sauce for the crawfish sauce that my dish had. She rely enjoyed it. For dessert, we split a piece of the chocolate mousse cake. It was good, but I'd be open to trying one of the other ones next time.

  • Alex R.

This is a sports bar that has your typical low quality food. We had the spicy alligator kickers for an appetizer, they were not very appetizing. My wife had the crab cakes and they were the worst we have ever tried. I had the blackened bayou duck which was decent at best. My advice is to come here to watch a game and have some drinks, not to try a new dinner restaurant. If you happen to stumble by and have the drunchies... try the cannon burger challenge (7 burger patties high w/ Cajun fries and costs $49.95... but if you complete the challenge you eat for free! Good luck

  • Lacey C.

This place was def better than I thought. My fiancé had a groupon and I had put off using it bc I thought this would be another mediocre restaurant. But we finally went and I was pleasantly surprised! The food was good, the service was outstanding! I will certainly go again. Our waitress Holly was awesome and even the food runners ask you what they can do for you before they leave your table. It's really wonderful. We got the alligator bites- yum. Then I got the crab cake para but substituted the mushroom cream sauce. Omg- so good! That sauce made all of the difference. My fiancé got the crab cake plate with red beans as a side. The red beans were so awesome. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert, it was great. I was very pleased with my first trip here!

Loved this place! The service was good, the food even better. If you are looking for local food and beer, this is the place. The crab cakes are the best I had so far in New Orleans. The BBQ shrimp are also amazing.

This place was pretty cool to chill in for a quick appetizer... Me and My Man had the Cajun Hebert fries.. We didn't need to get a entree because this filled is up pretty well.. I will return to try an entree very very soon!! Yummy dish! Family orientated.

  • Titus T.

I was pleasantly surprised by Bobby Hebert's restaurant! I think the quality of food is amazing. I ordered the Mardi Gras pasta which is a yummy pasta dish with lots of cheesy goodness. The pasta has crawfish and shrimp I expected just a few shrimp and crawfish but there was a ton of seafood in the pasta! I also ordered the crab cake with it and it was fresh and didn't seem to be pre-made at all. Cannon's is like a Cajun upscale Buffalo Wild Wings. Great place!

    (4)
  • Jennifer N.

Way over priced for what you get. I ordered the "special" of the day a buffalo chicken with blackened shrimp wrap. This wrap cost $18.90. The regular price of the buffalo chicken salad plus additional charge for the Blackened shrimp. I could have ordered a pasta dish for less. When we questioned the server, who was good, she just said yes that's the way we have to ring it up. I had heard mixed reviews and thought I would give it a try. I won't be back. The food was OK not great but the prices are out of control. $18.90 for a wrap with fries is insane.

  • Daniel M.

You are always greeted by everyone when you walk in the door. A little to much. Erin was are server tonight, why so happy and really projected her voice. The food is very average. This was our second time eating here, sorry to say our last. The soup had way to many shells in it. Made it very hard to enjoy. Burger was just average burger. I could have gone across the street for a more enjoyable burger. Sorry Bobby you haven't hit the mark in the restaurant business.

  • Ashley P.

The staff was great they greeted you as soon we walked in quickly sat us and the waiter Holly was on her "A" game. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and also suggested us to grill the crab cakes which is not an option on the menu, and omg it was so good couldn't have had a better crab cake! The wings were good, the red beans and rice with sausage was the best I've ever had in my life! The Cajun fries as my weakness for fries with anything on top this was a must try for me, I was very curious with this topping I have never tried, this was good and creamy all the way through no dry areas creamy craw fish cheese and mushrooms. Upon leaving we were greeted by the chef Brandon which was very pleasant giving us thanks and ago appreciation for dining. As we left every worker that we passed thanked us and even held the door open. Excellent customer service here and the food is great I will definitely be back when I visit New Orleans

What a surprise. A very good place to eat. The shrimp dinner was great. With large shrimp. The fries were excellent. At first I thought fries with crawfish gravy ,cheese, roast beef debries, too much stuff. Now wow it was great Love this place. Our waitress brittnei was helpful and steered us the right way on food and drinks. Loved it.

I'm here on a business trip and wanted to have some authentic Cajun food. The service was good, the servings were generous. I ordered the fried shrimp and it came with onion rings, fries and cole slaw. The shrimp was flour battered with no cornmeal and not spicy at all so I was dissapointed. The fries had a batter coating would have been better to have fresh cut fries so I didn't eat those. The onion rings were just ok would have been better with different batter. I wouldn't eat here again and they got 3 stars only for the service which was excellent.

Well well well... if it isn't another attempt at a Sports Bar meets Restaurant with tacky uniforms. Here's my breakdown: Ambience - 5 stars Cleanliness - 5 stars Bar - 3 stars (not big enough) Service - 4 stars (minus -1 point for waiting too long to be attended to by hostess) Parking - 4 stars (minus -1 point because the lines are too close together) Food - 3 stars (I'll explain later) Drinks - 4 stars (Keep reading) Bathroom - 4 stars (-1 point for not paying attention to detail) Overall score: 4/5 = 80% That's kind of like a B in my book. Parking was a tight squeeze, and for those with nice cars, you may want to park on the side street. The outside of the restaurant is great. Nice BIG signs and overall outdoor presentation is beautiful. Once we walked inside there was one group being assisted and an older couple in front of us. We stood there for a while waiting to get seated. We didn't feel like waiting for a table when there was plenty of seating at the bar, so we sat at the bar. I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo, red beans and rice and a "cajun" bloody mary. My friend ordered a tropical punch (HUGE) and some kind of fried seafood platter. I thought the seafood gumbo was pretty good but I did not like the red beans and rice. The sauce was too heavy and there were barely any beans in sight, they looked very "mushed". The super thick and heavy red beans just didn't work for me. The sausage on the other hand was delicious. The Bloody Mary was good, but I've had better. My friend's drink was so sweet, he took a few sips and was done with it. I'm not a fan of friend seafood so I will not comment on his plate. I took one fry out of his plate and it was tasty. Will I come back, sure I will. But I won't be ordering their red beans and rice. Do I believe this place will be successful, of course. Do I think they should have gone with the typical low cut, short shorts, high socks uniform for the ladies? No. I'm tired of businesses trying to use sex appeal + sports to bring in business because that usually results in crappy food due to a lack of focus and attention on the food itself.

I have to be honest. The only thing I liked about this place was the eggplant sticks. We both ordered the burger. Nothing exciting. It's the same old selections you find at this type of place. It wasn't as flavorful as I thought for a cajun place. There was plenty of salt but no flavor. I really liked the apps - wings and fries. The crawfish were not good in fries but the cheese counteracted the taste of craw craw!!! What makes this place worth visiting? The customer service is really good. The drinks look good. I heard they were expensive, though. The massive amount of TVs. Location is right in metairie next to everything. We had a very large party and the restaurant was more than accommodating. I just don't think the food is any good.

Food. Appetizers we went with was the wings. They were baked and the buffalo sauce among others were on the side for dipping purposes. The wings were delicious. I actually loved them. Very flavorful in itself without even using the sauce. Loved them. They are actually good for about 3 people unless you know you are a wing enthusiast. For my entree, I went with the Mardi Gras Pasta which was a creamy pasta with crawfish and shrimp in it. It was not spicy, which I enjoyed especially since they pride their-selves on the "spicy" side. It was a very filling meal. Everyone enjoyed their meals and it was all filling portions that would even allow you to take a little something home as well. Parking. There is parking in front as well as in back, so you shouldn't have any issues finding parking. Maybe on a Saturday it could get a little more crowded at this location. Atmosphere. The staff is actually pretty great; everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and just happy. Service was quick and efficient. I must also say this is a good location for small family/friend gathering. Keep in mind this is pretty much a sports/bar restaurant.

Decided to give Bobby Hebert's restaurant a try since it had been open a while now. We started with an appetizer of onion rings. The quantity was sufficient for a single serving but onion rings appeared to be the cheap frozen kind and not fresh made. I would not recommend them. If you do order them for a table of 2 or more you will probable need a couple of orders or more. Next we ordered cups of the gumbo and the corn and crab bisque. The gumbo was filled with lots of tiny shrimp but they were flavorless. The gumbo base was the right texture but it missed the mark on the flavor. It wasn't bad but there are PLENTY of places with WAY BETTER gumbo. However if I was eating here again and in the mood for soup, I would order it. The corn and crab bisque was LOADED with whole kernel corn. The crab appeared to be shredded but did not taste like crab. The excess amounts of corn masked the flavor of the entire cup. We would not order this again. Lots of other places have WAY BETTER corn and crab bisque, including some drive through fast food places. We then ordered the burgers with fries. We were mixed on the fries. Some of us liked them some of us didn't. When it came to the burgers we all agreed that none of us liked them. No flavor or seasoning that we could taste. It all tasted like bad microwave food. We left very disappointed. We were suppose to order a take out order for a friend. We decided she would do better with Buds Broiler, Lees Hamburgers, or Atomic Burger.

I give this restaurant five stars due to good reasoning. They were only not good to me but also my four month oldbson. I came here Wednesday during noon and they were packed and full. However, I sat at a high top table and they accommodated my son well. I needed to warm my son bottle and they brought me a mug with hot water to do so. I ordered the Bobby and Deke's Mardi Gras PAsta and I added chicken to it. It was soooo good, I loved the sauce and the two slices of bread that came with it. It was a good portion size and I had a nice amount of crawfish tails, shrimp and chicken breast. The sauce had a nice kixk to it. I'm ordering that again. I also ordered a nice Bahama mama cocktail drink that was pretty good. Nice and sweet, I'm pretty sure that a real Bahama mama doesn't taste too banana-ish. Overall I loved my experience and I will be back.

Went on a dinner date to Bobby Hebert's on a Saturday night. The smaller parking lot in the front was completely filled but there is extra parking around the back, conveniently. It was really crowded, which was expected at dinner time on the weekend (6:30pm). There was a 20~25 min wait for a table for 2, which was a very accurate time. No complaint there. There are lots of TVs EVERYWHERE! Since it was crowded, it was obviously really loud. There was a lot going on. When we were sat, Leighanne (our server) came over within just a few minutes. She asked if it was our first time, which it was, and proceeded to give many suggestions on drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. She was very knowledgeable of the menu! She was a great server and made sure we were fine throughout our meal. I had the Bahama Mama, which was really tasty. We ordered the Crawfish fries as an app. They were really good. The fries are topped with cheese and a crawfish cream sauce. For entrees, we got the Mardi Gras Pasta (shrimp & crawfish) and the Crab cake platter, which were both topped with the same crawfish cream sauce. Good thing we actually liked it! The sauce is not salty at all, but is not as 'cajun' as other cream sauces I have tasted. It could've been a bit more spicy. But overall, it was good. The crab cake platter came with garlic mashed potatoes, which I did not like at all and some mixed veggies. The food came out so fast that we began to suspect that it was pre made. It was also not very hot, temperature wise. Just comfortably warm like it had been sitting, instead of coming straight from a skillet. I want to go back to try the BBQ shrimp.

I would have to agree with another Yelper below - over priced and underwhelming. I had read a lot of great reviews about the place and suggested for my boyfriend and I to have lunch there with another couple. We walked into the placed and the ambiance was not what I expected. All the walls were painted black and it just had a feeling in there like things were still under construction or something. There were tvs all over and the noise level was high. (We arrived about 3:00 on a Saturday.) The staff seemed to all accumulate near the bar. Pretty much a group of at least ten people were always mulling about there and it seemed chaotic. They first tried to seat the four of us at a table right next to the restrooms in a highly trafficed pathway. We asked to be seated in the empty corner booth instead. Reviewing the menu we noticed that the prices were on the high side for just average stuff. Our server seemed alright. She was a bit overly talkative and kept forgetting the lemons we requested though. We tried the fried alligator kickers and the eggplant fries. The alligator kickers were basically balls of fried batter with a tiny piece of alligator hidden in the middle. Not very good really. The eggplant fries were better. For our entrees we tried the Lake Vista Tuna and the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap. The wrap was on the small side and didn't have much chicken considering it was $13.95. I thought the Tuna was good but the rest of my party was not impressed by it. It came with three bbq shrimp on top, which were also good. The piece of Tuna was pretty good size and had a gravy that it laid upon. It was also served with a side of fresh steamed veggies. I thought the veggies were fine. Again, the rest of my party felt that the tuna, gravy and veggies lacked flavor. We got dessert to go. The Bourbon Pecan Pie. It's a very small piece for $5.95. Our group ordered two pieces and each couple split their piece. It was pretty good, but small. I don't think I would choose to come back here... Only if I was with someone who really wanted to go here. There are other places that are better and cheaper. P.S. The parking lot is pretty small. Be careful of people coming and going that have oversize vehicles and aren't sure how to navigate them in the tiny lot.(We had to wait a bit to leave because the van in back of us didn't seem to know how to park their car.) Also, It's not clearly labeled but one driveway is the entrance and the other is the exit.

This was our last food stop of the day. The walls are lined with TVs. Awesome place to watch a game. I ordered the Ahi Tuna...and um...for the firs time in my life, I was asked "how I would like it done." Huh? I thought ahi tuna was seared on the outside and raw at the center? I ordered mine medium rare thinking that if it cooked like steak, that would be my best bet. Um...I basically got a tuna steak. I mean, it wasn't dry or overcooked, but it wasn't an ahi tuna either. Honestly, I was too confused to ask. Service was great. The manager came around a few times to make sure we were happy. We also ordered a gumbo to share. Good flavor and it wasn't heavy. The most memorable part was the "ahi tuna," haha. I need an explanation for that. Have I been eating the wrong thing all my life?

We were seated quick even though there was a 15 min wait due to large parties. We werent told how to order food. You have to hit a button on the table to call the waiter. We ordered the alligator, wings, fries, eggplant as appetizers and they we all ok, basicly if you fry anything it will taste good. Serv8ce was extremely quick, food and drinks. The hurricane we ordered was weak, they must have forgotten the alcohol. Thibodaux burger was the great, a must order. Seafood platter is your basic..fried seafood with fries and dipping sauce, nothing spectacular. This is your basic, Chili's/Applebee's atmosphere, menu for just $5-$10 increase than the aforementioned. They do sing B-day songs and u get free bread pudding, which was horrible. The bannana foster cake was good. Overall, would not return unless someone really wanted to go.

Let me say first, the service was very good. We started with the Onion Ring appetizer, it looked and tasted like the run of the mill OR you would get in any bar. My GF ordered crab cakes and I had the Bayou Duck entree. Her crab cakes seemed a bit bland and lacked any real substance. My Bayou Duck was actually quite good and seasoned just right. Overall, I think the pricing exceeds one's expectations. It will limit my return visits.

The service was great, but the food was just meh--greasy Mardi Gras, decent wrap (but $14 for it!) If you're looking for a tourist spot, this is it; however, I definitely wouldn't come for the food...

Good luck

(Ugh!)

I really love their Gumbo and the best thing on the menu is the shrimp ceaser salad. My husband had the Alfredo. No complaint. The bread budding was good. The drinks are big. Did I mention the great Ceaser Salads. Lol. Holly V was our waitress this time. She was upbeat, fun and very attentive. Excellent service. She engaged in conversation and was very engaging. 5stars to Holly. The TVs are great for watching sports. That's when the restaurant is the busiest.

This is my 2nd Saturday in a row to come here for dinner. Both times I have had the Catfish Platter, It is by far the best I've eaten any where. The service is great, it's a bit noisy, not cozy for a romantic date. But every thing else is awesome, I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my time here tonight! The restaurant is very new, and I hope it stays around a long time! I went tonight for a drink and wound up ordering an appetizer. I'll have to update my review when I try a few more items, but I would like to mention the service was excellent!

Lots of shrimp, wished it was a little spicier though. My husband got the catfish po- boy and that was on point! My only complaint is that it was really dark, making it hard to read the menu.

The food was amazing ,and the staff was very nice. There were a lot of TVs that played different sport channels. Since I am a sports fan, I loved the different sports memorabilia from sports like football, basketball, baseball, and golf.

Popped over here for dinner and fell in love. First things first, Stella on tap! Then our waitress Christi is absolutely fantastic and I'd return for her even if the food wasn't great. But it is. The duck? Killer. The fries? Life changing. Absolutely come here. You must!!

She had her smiling and laughing and having a wonderful time. Besides excellent service, we good was 100% as well. We will be back and ask for Allison, she truly made our experience what it was.

Food was very very very bland! I had the T bone steak and it was the caliber of steak that u get at Waffle House or ihop. Very overpriced as well. Won't be visiting again.

Very good. I had the Cajon Hebert fries...they were so good. I was full so I didn't order anything else. My friend had the BBQ shrimp. She said it was spicy and good. Make sure that if you love pecan pie to try the Kentucky bourbon pecan pie. You will not be disappointed

RJT

This place is so so. For a restaurant with a sports theme I feel their beer selection was small. The staff was very nice and the food was OK. I'im not disappointed I stopped in, but I doubt I will visit again.

  • Angie B.

A little overboard on the crawfish cream sauce...the Cajun fries have it, the sautéed redfish has it, the jambalaya pasta has it; hence, everything tastes exactly alike. Needs a little more originality. Peach margarita was good though. Swamp tea, not so much...

Over the holidays we had a chance to visit with friends and found this sports bar representative of exactly that. To watch and enjoy sports it is indeed an awesome place to do so with great atmosphere and numerous TVs throughout. The food was acceptable as a sports palace but nothing more.

Great Cajun food, great place to watch any major sports games. Whatever you order, make sure it's something you can top with their special crawfish mushroom sauce. Like bacon, it goes with just about anything.
