This place is the greatest. The "rumor" in New Orleans metro is that if you go to jail, make sure it's in Kenner because they order from LaBellas for food. One guy described it as "Goodfellas". For some reason if you pick someone up from there they aren't dying of hunger. The Ruben I really wanted was off the menu due to lack of corned beef, and I was looking as someone literally scarfed down a club sandwich--that was it, but then I saw they had a breaded porkchop (with red or white beans combined). An Italian will make Colonel Sanders look like an e-z bake oven. So you "geaux with what you know". A small muffuletta featured on the food network. A perfect day when you include lunch. This place is amazing . Getting 5 stars from me is like the Congressional Food Medal of Honor!!!

Cute neighborhood joint with plate lunch specials. And I got to share my meal with Jennifer B so that's always awesome. Of course, I was totally confused by the 2 business listings at the same location. One is for the diner and the other for the catering business. Why not just do it all together? I had a tuna on wheat and it was substantial and tasty. I saw a guy at another table with one of the plate lunch specials and it was HUGE, like 3 meals for me large. Service was fine. Order at the counter, find a table and someone brings you your food. It was pretty speedy for a random weekday. Will definitely consider this spot again if I'm out in Rivertown when they're open.

Jen L and I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for somewhere in the 'burbs to eat. Yelp reviews seemed favorable, so off to Old Kenner we went. Somewhat small menu, but delicious food and friendly staff. I had the Italian Sub, which is easily enough for two people, Ate half of the sub, we split a slice of apple pie, and I was quite happy & full. The other half made a delicious lunch the following day.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The service is good, the food is great, and they have sweet tea. I've gotten a variety of sandwiches here, and the only thing that really didn't agree with me was the fish tacos. I stay away from those now, but everything else is top notch. I usually get a club sandwich, but I've also had a reuben, and usually make sure to check their specials. It's sometimes pretty packed on weekdays, but never anything crazy. The workers are nice, and always friendly. I know their main business is catering, so there's a flurry of activity in the kitchen. I definitely recommend this place as a place to hit for lunch, or maybe get an event catered.

This is like this neighborhood lunch spot that feeds the same regulars every day, they aren't trying to be awesome and attract lots of attention, they are just trying to make good food for their daily customers. So they are sort of accidentally awesome! Unforced, small-town atmosphere. Great food! I had the red beans and my friends both had a reuben. The word on the street is that Clint Eastwood stopped in here quite a bit when he was in town making a movie.

La Bella's is a great restaurant in River Town/Kenner. They serve excellent hot or cold sandwiches & po boys. I really enjoy the hot plate lunches specials. Which usually follow the New Orleans schedule for lunch. Example, red beans and rice on Mondays. Thursday lunch special is ribeye steak and it is phenomenal and under $15. The salads they serve are equal in quality and portion as other dishes. The croutons are made from po boy French bread and soaked in butter. Delicious! La Bella's also provides catering services. I have not used it yet but I would imagine that the quality is par with in house services. What makes this place stand out even more are the people working. It's family owned and everyone is super friendly and more than nice and attentive. A big plus for me is that they are located just a few blocks from my work. Take out is available and depending on what day it is you might want to call in your order early.

From the service to the atmosphere, this place is awesome! Chef Joey LaBella is absolutely amazing! I am picky and hard to please, but not at LaBella's! From the sandwiches to lunch/dinner plates to salads to deserts, I love everything on the menu! And catering jobs are a breeze when dealing with Jenny, she is amazing and makes the experience flawless!!

How can you make something so simple taste so good. Stopped in for a quick lunch and fell into a little gem. First thing that I noticed that is a plus is that I saw a table of 8 veteran police officers. Cops always know where the good local eats are. Second thing that I liked was the owner ran the register and pretty much knew I was a out of towner and just said "sit down and let me feed you." Out came a oven roasted corn beef sandwich that just tasted that much better.
