Great food, great service, the shrimp-poboy will knock your socks off, the boiled crawfish are just the best anywhere. Great value for $$$$$$.

The oyster po'boy was excellent, and the mac n' cheese was probably the best I've had from the type of restaurant this is. The woman behind the counter allowed me the side substitution without a blink of an eye or an extra charge. The prices were up there compared to other places I've been, but a six-inch sandwich with a side is well worth the price tag. However, my friend got really sick after eating, and the shrimp po'boy he had was really the only thing that we could pin it down to, besides the ever elusive 24-hour flu (which I've read is usually really food poisoning). I'm still giving this three stars, since we can't be certain that it was the shrimp he had, and I liked my food so much.

Good service, good food, clean restrooms. What more can you ask for? I like the shrimp creole that they have on Fridays. The combo is the epitome of Cajun food. Fresh shrimp, fresh tomatoes, rice & thick sauce with Italian flair. It is the perfect combo for a well deserved meal on a Friday afternoon. It also has one of the staples of a great restaurant. You're neither stuffed not famished... And my trademark--clean, kept restrooms.

If your ever in da parish this restaurant is a must do! I usually get prepared seafood from them every chance I get. The cooks do an amazing job of pumping out succulent platters of fresh seafood. Without a doubt the best fried oysters, soft shell crabs, and catfish. The ladies at the counter couldn't possibly do a better job. I'd love to see the shrimp butterflied . They sell a wide array of fresh local products you can prepare at home.

Great lunch spot, fresh seafood market and take-out family-run business on E. Judge Perez Dr. in Chalmette, LA. One day recently I had to travel to da parish and I discovered Today's Ketch Seafood, so I thought this would be a place to have lunch. It turned out to be a good choice. Dinners are served with a salad, fries and a choice of a side item. I had the combo dinner plate of fish and shrimp, with fries and baked macaroni. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff are very pleasant and the lunch room is clean has lots of light.

We had the fried shrimp dinner and shrimp po'boy. There was plenty to eat. The meal was very good. You order at the counter. The staff was very helpful.

Their boiled crawfish are spiced just right and never disappoints. If you are looking for boiled, fried, or live seafood they got you covered. My preferred spot for crawfish. They are legit.

I was craving boiled shrimp, but we were waylaid by the freshly boiled crawfish at the counter. The crawfish was perfectly seasoned and had lots of celery, onion, garlic & peppers! Yummy! Potatoes, Corn, Sausage, Mushrooms (OMG) again perfectly cooked and seasoned. Love their potato salad because it is as close to my homemade that I have found eating out. Plus Plus Plus was all that food was 25.00! We grabbed everything to go, but will for sure be back to dine in and try the platters. Service was quick and friendly. The line quickly flowed for a friday an hour before closing. Hubby is now in a happy crawfish coma.

I haven't had a wide range off their menu. This Place is both take out and eat in. I was disappointed to see that their boiled non seafood items (corn potatoes mushrooms etc) were Pre bagged and sitting on the counter cold. Same god for their seafood gumbo and crawfish étouffée. In any case, I had the seafood gumbo, jambalaya, and boiled potatoes. Potatoes tasted a bit under seasoned. The jambalaya was blah. Had chicken and smoked sausage in it, but the dish was mostly rice. Rice was also a tad undercooked. Portion was small. They should look at what Natals seafood on Chef highway offers. The seafood gumbo was excellent. Crab, crawfish, and small pieces of shrimp. Again, they gave me the cold one off the counter but it was still definitely good. Portion at $5 was smaller than other places however. May or may not go back, but for seafood gumbo only.

This little seafood vendor and diner is a great place for lunch. The boiled crawfish, when in season is excellent and I am a big fan of the shrimp po boy. It's a little off the beaten track in Da Parish, but if your in the area, a good call for a cheap and yummy lunch. The fresh seafood counter offers a good selection of local seafood, shrimp etc. that seems priced to local markets.

I have to tell you, the Chalmations are lucky. This place is great. I love the sides that comes with their dinner plates. I wont let anyone talk me into going here for lunch and ordering a dinner plate unless they share it with me because it's way too much food. I remember when we were working on a Murphy Oil project after Katrina and we ordered from here. No regrets but nothing stood out in my mind about the food. Fried seafood plates are a dime a dozen in the greater New Orleans area. However, recently, our office ordered from here and man---the sides that comes with the dinner plates are to die for. I love their crawfish fettucine and potato salad that coms with it. Anyways, i love their dinner plates. Nom nom nom lately, ive been blessed when it comes to eating local food. So Ive been star rating happy and giving out 4 stars instead of my normal 3 for casual dining/take out places BUT I have to tell you, I do not eat fried seafood that often at all so this was a treat. My plate was the fried crawfish tails which already came with a salad in addition to this, I had 2 other choices AND A DRINK!!! Hells yeah! Crawfish fettucine & potato salad. Sigh. So good. I love that they have sweet potato fries also. Nom nom! Ive also tried their crawfish etoufee. So good. Take some home and warm it up. The rice is not cooked all the way in the container but when you take it home and nuke it, it's cooked and ready to eat. So rich! They get pretty busy during Lent season, so you have to call in advance to make sure they have what you need before making the drive. Cash is great. It's pretty close by the Oil refinery so blink and you may pass it!

This place has a great selection of both live and boiled seafood. I find that they have a nice selection of po-boys and seafood plates for dining in or carryout. I often get the catfish plate for lunch. They have a large selection of sides. I particularly like this because I don't always want fries with my meal like most places offer with a seafood plate. Here you can get baked mac and cheese, crawfish fettucini, jambalaya, etc. It's all pretty affordable. They also have other items like hamburgers if you have someone with you that isn't feeling seafood. When it comes to live or boiled seafood, in my opinion, this is the best place to go in Da' Parish. Other places may have something for ten cents a pound less from time to time, but when you are buying crawfish, shrimp, or crabs, consistency is far more important. I've been other places where the size of the crawfish that you get is really up and down. I've never had a bad experience at Today's Ketch. I usually get them boiled and the seasoning is really good every time I go. The staff is friendly and there is a large waiting and dinning area. It's a great place to go for either lunch or picking up a sack or two for a boil. Highly recommended.

Best boiled crawfish I have had in a long time! Perfectly seasoned...just the right amount of spice...no so much that it hurts but just enough that it's so good!

(Review is of the lunch area. Didn't buy from their fresh seafood counter.) Hard to do in these parts, but their serving sizes were too small! Their shrimp salads were a few small shrimps on top of some slithers of iceberg lettuce. The sandwiches were priced a bit high for what's provided, but tasty overall. (Come to think of it, everything seemed to be priced a bit high)... Hope it's better value the next time we visit da Parish -- there's quite a few other good restaurants nearby.
