I grew up in Luling. Like a war-torn soldier, I've seen a ton of businesses pop up and disappear, but Anita's has remained a steady and successful business for what has to be fifteen years now, and it's still evolving. It originally started as a straight-laced burger shop. A change in ownership kept the same, no-B.S. menu, but resulted in a growth of a soul all of its own. Walking into the shop, you feel like you've stepped through a portal from a Boutte strip mall neighbor to Advance Auto Parts, a bingo hall, and a nail salon, to a Magazine Street burger joint. Customer art drawn on menus coats the walls, and you'll probably hear Red Hot Chili Peppers or some jazz playing in the background. You'll instantly feel welcome by the friendly staff, and probably get a pretty good burger. Personally, I feel super comfortable in this place, and if it had this ambiance when I was a teen, it'd probably be our "THE MAX" from Saved By the Bell. Really cool! Though I love this place, it's always just a "when I'm in town" kinda thing: I wouldn't make a special trip to Luling just for an Anita's burger. The burgers are massive, but I hate to be a snob: they're obviously frozen, pre-formed patties. They have a nice char as a result of the flame grilling (they have an open fire grill behind the counter, which is neat!), but their thickness makes for an oddly chewy burger. There's nothing special to the burgers apart from their size and preparation method, but there's no competition in town when it comes to burgers. Definitely recommended to check out if you're in Luling / Boutte! They're doing good business, and I like em a lot.

It's good. Burgers were juicy and big. Cheese fries could've been better, cheese wasn't melted. I like the vibe of the place.

I Love Anita's, so much. I don't love that they close at 8pm (we're on a wacky schedule most of the time) but the burgers are big and juicy and yummy enough to overlook it. We don't do burgers often, but when we do and we're here in Luling? This is where we go. The regular burger is ridiculously enormous and entirely too much for one non-heart-attack-seeking person to eat in one sitting. I've taken to ordering the kids burger and having them add BBQ sauce... my mouth is watering just thinking about it. That sauce is so zesty and fabulous, and man they don't scrimp when they're dressing those burgers! Soooooo not good for you but I sooooooo don't care when I'm eating it because it's soooooooo delicious. Don't make this mistake of ordering fries like I did the first time, because they come with the burger. Two orders of fries = too much! I haven't ever eaten there because they're close to home and I'd rather sit in my jammies to be perfectly honest, but the staff has always been friendly enough when we're picking up our orders. And really, the décor isn't anything that makes me feel like I'm missing out on some killer ambiance or anything. Just a dive-y little burger joint out of a little strip mall shop that's rockin' out the good-ness at surprisingly reasonable prices. Best burgers in town, y'all. Getchoo some. :)

Very good, large burgers (8 oz). I get the child size (4 oz) dressed with shredded cheese. YUM! Comes with fries. Can get sweet potato fries or onion rings instead.

This place is not your run of the mill burger joint. It definitely isn't like the other St Charles parish establishments as it has its own funky little vibe to it. Non-mainstream music plays in the background, hand drawn art on menus are posted everywhere and I think I spotted a drum set in the back near the video poker machines. The burgers are pretty good but they are frozen patties which isn't something I would usually accept from a burger place. (Much like Bud's which I never eat.) The dressings arent plentiful either so if you like the crunch of lettuce or a thick slice tomato your out of luck. With that said, its the best burger in the immediate area and definitely a place I frequently visit.

Love the burgers! My sons favorite burger place. Patties are huge! Very consistent and staff is always on point. I do hate that they close mid day and at 8 at night but nothing I can really do about that.

This place is a dive and I love that about it!! When we pulled up I asked my husband "Where are you taking me?!" Another reviewer put that you'd probably hear Red Hot Chili Peppers while you were here and yes indeed, a Chili Peppers CD was playing and took me back to my college days. The inside is small with kids artwork all over the walls. I ordered the regular burger and cheese fries not knowing the burger was 8 oz!!! It was so big, it was absurd. I wish I would have ordered the kids 4oz burger. The food was good but not the best burger I've ever had. None-the-less I liked this little hole-in-the-wall!

Very good burger. The patty is excellent. Regular burgers are 8 oz. So you might like the kids 4oz burger if you can't eat the 8 oz. The fries are just ok...and the cheeze is shreaded. I would prefer sliced. The place is small with only 8 tables. The decor is interesting with lots of pictures from customers. The music is eclectic but good

The giant burgers are delicious but pricy. The environment, if you are eating in, leaves much to be desired. They have the hip hop so loud you can't talk without shouting. Not an enjoyable meal.

Let's start by saying their burgers are frozen and same for their fries. I was hoping it was great fresh burgers but they are not fresh. They did not taste to bad but I could not get over the part that I was being served frozen burgers and fries. Did I mention that the buns are just the same type of buns you get from the store. Nothing special about this burger. I will say though they have a great simple business. Frozen food thrown onto the grill and serve it to you. Save your money and go fast food.
