We used to have a Schlotzky's Deli back where I grew up and my family loved going there. Then they closed. Fast forward about 12 years and I was surprised to see one in the KC area! But time has not treated Schlotzky's well. The turkey was bland, the guacamole was brown and the sourdough bun was hard. *Sigh* I guess this is good-bye forever old friend...

Sandwich was pretty good... it was some special they were promoting. Nothing too extrordinary. The Cinnabon pecan roll is really what I came for...and I got it! Yummy! Haven't had one in years. It seemed to be the same as I remember. Staff were less than interested in being there. They got the order right though. Great place for a Cinnabon fix.

When we came in no one was manning the front counter. It took several minutes before someone came up front to take the order but I'm guessing they were working short handed since the guy had a drive-thru headset on. The food was fabulous and timely. I've always loved their deli sandwiches way better than any one else's but haven't had them for years since going gluten free. My daughter learned they offered gluten free bread and I have to say it was the best sandwich I've had in a few years. Even the bun was delicious and moist! I would definitely recommend giving them a try. I loved it!

I enjoyed my regular sized smoked turkey sandwich. The turkey was piled high, creating a good balance with the delicious sourdough bread. The veggies were fresh, and hot sauce was available to spice things up a bit. The service was somewhat friendly, and fast. Punch cards, coupons, and eClub discounts are available.

The sandwich was average...nothing spectacular. It was a Reuben and they didn't have any Rye bread. I opted for wheat. However, the sandwich came with sour dough. If stars were based on service it would be a minus 5. The woman was impatient on the intercom. At the window she hands me the bag and says, "is that all?" Before I said anything she said....oh yes, you had a water with no ice. She hands me the cup. No thank you nothing. I pull away. No napkins in the bag. The cup was a foam cup and it was cracked so the water went all over me and my vehicle. Usually rudeness at a fast food restaurant will come from a teenager who lacks proper upbringing. This was not a teenager and she certainly should have better manners if she's going to work with the public.

I haven't been to a Schlotzsky;s in probably ten years and they have changed a lot since then. Maybe it is the difference in locations. I remembered them as having great sandwiches. Now they are ok. I was really unimpressed with what they called sourdough bread. I also am not a huge fan of shredded lettuce on my sandwiches, but that is just a preference thing. I debated the "Cuban" but the picture looked like sliced ham and pork lunch meat Arby's style. Being a "Cuban" fan, I went with the roast beef. The roast beef was tender and had good flavor. It was sliced nice and thin and piled in a clump on two-thirds of the sandwich. The bread really overtook the entire sandwich. Just really too much. An ok sandwich overall, but not great. Service was ok, nothing special.

Just a boring chain, with a boring menu and really uninspiring sandwiches. Had an original and just didn't feel any love from that thing. I hardly found any of the other sandwiches on the menu to be appetising.

A co-worker of mine has talked about Scholtzsky's for as long as I have known him. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stop by this on in Olathe to sit down and eat. I was able to grab a quick roast beef on jalapeno cheddar bread to take with me on the plane ride back home. I wasn't expecting much when I took out the sandwich a few hours later while in the air. it tasted so good though that I wish I had made the time to go in and have a fresh one. This seems like a great chain to get a sandwich from.

I was shopping nearby and decided to try Schlotzky's, which I'd never been in before. With a name like Schlotzky's, I expected a Jewish-flavored deli, but it really isn't. The sandwich choices are more generic. They did have a Reuben, though, which is one of my favorite sandwiches, so I tried that, along with a cup of their potato soup. The potato soup was chunky and tasty, and I almost regretted not getting a bowl instead of a cup. The Reuben was generous and tasted good, although it wasn't a traditional one. Instead of rye or marble rye, Schlotzky's Reuben is served on a large round pumpernickel bun type of bread that's toasted (not grilled, like a traditional Reuben). It was pretty good, though, and toasting is probably healthier than grilling in a lot of extra butter. I wouldn't make a special trip here, but it was decent for a chain (which is about to open a lot more stores in K.C., according to the Star) and I'd eat there again if I'm in the neighborhood. This store is on Strang Line at 122nd, a few blocks south of the big shopping area at 119th and I-35, in an area with several hotels. It's directly across the freeway from Bass Pro Shops.

Never tried this deli chain before, went with a work friend/colleague and was impressed!! Small sandwich perfect size for me. Bread was amazing combination of crisp exterior and light fluffy interior. Service was quick

Growing up in Texas, I have enjoyed Schlotzsky's sandwiches for most of my life. This location is very nice, and I believe I've convinced my boyfriend to make this place part of our regular going-out rotation. When we visited more than two years ago, it was sort of underwhelming. I think they redesigned the decor and lowered the prices since then, but I can't be sure. The sandwiches and pizzas are just as tasty as I remember. The way they melt that cheese into that buttered sourdough. Talk about things that make you go 'Mmm!' It wasn't crowded, but seeing as it was Saturday night I can understand wanting to go someplace fancier. I'm taking away a star because there were fruit flies/gnats in the lemon container. But hey, if you've ever been to the Burger King on Santa Fe near K-mart on a hot summer's day, trust me, you've seen much worse in the drink fountain.

I've been to list location several times. This location is always clean, which is very important to me. For quick and reasonable priced food I'd come here over any other fast food chain hands down. Every time I've visited the manager/owner has been there working which is something I like to see. He preps food, takes orders, serves food seems like he really cares. I've always had friendly service as well.

Solid place to eat. Free cookies on Sundays- added bonus. Won't blow anyone away, but worth a stop if you're looking for something a little better than average fast food.

A "one" only because "zero" isn't an option. OMG! What happened to this place. New owner? Sandwich did not taste anything like a Schlotzsky's. I had the original. After three bites, I was done. Not returning. Horrible is the only way I can describe what I was served as a Schlotzsky's Deli sandwich. I'm not knocking Schlotzsky's, just this location. UG!
