Best fries I've had in a very long time, and our burgers were really good too - and were extra well done, just as we requested. Add to that great, friendly service & you have a trifecta that says we will be back!

Three of us had lunch there. We all 3 had tenderloins with fries. It took about 15 minutes to get our food, which seems about right. Unless you are a very big eater, you want to do a split, which is $1.50 more than the $9.99 charge, but when we got our tenderloins and fries, 2 of us each ate less than half of each tenderloin and the fries. We each brought home more than what you receive at most restaurants. The flavor was nice, the breading was well-seasoned, and crispy with white meat inside, and the fries were crispy and a very large portion. My husband had sweet tea and it was a very large glass and very sweet. All the staff was very friendly. I would definitely return.

This little, hole-in-the-wall cafe is brand new to the area. After hearing, several coworkers talk about it, I decided to try it out. I'm not one for Midwestern country-style food but this place surprised me. The cafe is in a little metal building on the main road in Elwood, Kansas. As soon as you get about 4 feet from the door you are welcomed by a wonderful aroma of deep fried goodness. The inside is simple, you seat yourself, and the restaurant is filled with weathered locals taking a break from a hard day's work. The waitresses were very friendly and made you feel welcome as soon as you walked through the door. Almost like you were visiting their home. She took our drink order and brought back pitchers for each one of us. Yes, a pitcher for every single person. At first I was kind of like "this is a completely unnecessary amount of beverage," until I tried my sweet tea. At that point, I didn't think my pitcher was big enough. This is my new favorite sweet tea. Expecting to see a generic "small-town" cafe menu, I was pleasantly astounded by the uniqueness and variety of their burger selection. I just had to try one. I ended up settling for The Saint which was a blackened burger with bell peppers and bleu cheese. Mmmm... it was tasty. My coworkers all ordered salads, lame. They however were HUGE. They all took half of them to go. This cafe definitely surprised me and is a great new addition to the area!

I think Sweet Herbs is more like a 4.5, but didn't' deserve just a mediocre 3 for such a great burger. I'm excited to have found it, not a lot of places in the St. Joe "metro" area that gets reviews on Yelp, and we had a great Sunday lunch here, big fat burgers cooked as I asked, medium rare, lots of fries, quick service, large sodas. I'll be back. Maybe this week!

My burger from Sweet Herb's was fantastic. Everything you could want in a basic American cheeseburger. The cafe itself is a little metal building on the main road through Elwood, Kansas. It's not rustic, but not classy. I'd say it's casual and comfortable. I sat myself and was quickly offered a drink. When my sweet tea arrived at the table, I almost flipped out! I didn't think they offered such large drinks anymore. The biggest surprise for me though, was the menu. An entire page of different burger options. So many to choose from, it took me quite a while to decide. With a deliciously toasted bun and a good amount of greasy burger with lettuce, tomato and cheese, the Big Herb was perfect. Exactly what I wanted in a juicy flavorful burger. I think the fries were my favorite though. You have several options, crinkled, regular or seasoned. Then you have several options for seasonings from BBQ, and Cajun to salt and pepper. I had the BBQ and found it incredible. The fries were so crispy on the outside, yet full of mushy potato on the inside! It was really and truly delicious. I did make sure to try a small bowl of the chili and the waitress and kitchen staff were nice enough to make me a smaller bowl so I wouldn't over stuff myself, but still get to try the chili. It was your typical chili, not too sweet, or spicy at all, but just a good ration of bean to meat with a nice sauce. I'm always a sucker for kidney beans in chili. After hearing about this great little restaurant on Facebook, I'm glad I finally took the time to try it out. I'll definitely be back.

Pretty horrible service. Three of us went on a Saturday at 11:30 for lunch. We were the only table in the restaurant for a good 20 minutes. We all ordered burgers and fries. At 12:20, the server finally came back to check on us and at that time we requested our food be to go since our lunch break was up and we had yet to be served. We pulled out of the parking lot at 12:30 and the food was mediocre at best. The burgers were good sized, but extremely dry with little flavor. Fries were pretty good, and the different seasonings you can have on your fries is nice. Unfortunately we will not be back.

Went there on a Sunday with two other people and ordered three burgers and fries. We were the only people in the place. After 45 minutes we still hadn't gotten our food so we told them to change it to takeout as our lunch hour was up. When we returned to work and finally ate, the burgers were very dry and tasteless. I would not return there.....
