This is one of those "Oh my gosh! I can't wait to get back there again!" places. Frankly, I'm a sucker for good appetizers, and the hand-battered vegetables and cheese sticks we indulged in at our first visit were the type I dream about. I will certainly crave them until we return. Whew, that was just the first course! The French onion soup was also wonderful with rich flavor and bubbly cheese on top of the bread croutons. My husband had the special which was a Filet Mignon with an amazing mushroom sauce, and I had the Rib-eye topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms. Both steaks were juicy, tender, flavorful and absolutely delicious. We'll be back again and again. Can't wait to get back there again...perhaps for lunch! :-)

Every time I visit the Long Branch I have wonderful food ! IThe French onion soup and the home made salad dressings are the best ! I've had their rib eye and their prime rib ! Both were outstanding ! We shared onion rings...and they were very good also ! I can't say one bad thing about this place ! I wish I could get there more often ! The Mars girl...Joellen ???, was a great waitress !

We have been coming here for years and have enjoyed the food. That being said, tonight was the our first night back in awhile. The Caesar salad was limp and brown in spots. The cheese sticks were fantastic as usual. When out dinners came, my husband's steak was over seasoned to the point of inedible. I ordered the Bourbon Salmon with asparagus. Not a drop of Bourbon ever met with the salmon and the 4 asparagus were undercooked. Both plates were sent back. 2nd try, husband's steak was cooked perfect. Too bad he couldn't taste it from 1st steak. The baked Maui with garlic butter I received was delicious. Kudos to the waitress who stepped in and made it right. I attempted to order a mojito as they have a bar, but they don't serve that. No mixed drink menu. If you want wine, beer, or a shot, you are in the right place. I would prefer a mixed drink menu.

I've eaten here 3-times now. I'd heard their food was good, but I wasn't overly impressed with the grilled chicken salad I had for lunch on my first visit. The chicken was a bit over cooked and on the dry side. However, the next time I went for lunch, my food was good! Just this last time, I went with a group of co-workers and I thought the pork tenderloin was terrific!

This is by far the best restaurant in Shelbyville! Always a perfectly cooked ribeye after a long day of fishing and the best brandy old fashioned in town! I wish this restaurant was in my town, because I would be there at least once a week! It's always consistent and always good! Thank you for years of great service and food!

I've eaten here for years. We visit family each holiday season. We've always had great meals. Very reasonable prices, too. My kids live their meals as they come in a frisbee than can keep. If you're in shelbyville, and want to go out for a nice meal, this is the place to go.

The nicest restaurant in Shelbyville. Good atmosphere, service, and food. They have wonderful fries and the salad dressings are homemade and amazing. Their lunch menu is very reasonable and has lots of options from salads to fish to sandwiches. One of their most popular menu offerings is the chicken tender salad (you can order it grilled too!). Their onion rings and chicken tenders are hand breaded and very similar to Cheddars'. Great place for a business lunch or a steak dinner. Kids meals are served on Frisbees. Located right downtown near the movie theater.

We took a 6 block walk from our hotel to the Longbranch Grill after a 30+ mile bike ride over the holiday weekend and it was well worth our effort. The prime rib was outstanding. We would have stayed in town another day just to go back there if they had been open on Sunday.. All the food that was being served looked so good. I don't know if we will pass through there again, but we would highly recommend dropping in for dinner if you are ever in the Lake Shelby area. They pour a good drink too!!!

I just left Longbranch. I mean just left there. I still have meat between my teeth for beef's sakes. Now, I apologize for the other so-so or so-no experiences people have had, but I must say mine was amazing. I took out some friends for Valentine's Day and the food truly warmed my Tsubos. I had the special: A cajun chop steak on a bun with bacon. It was fresh, full of flavor, moist, and hearty. The fries were fry-tastic, and for some reason Budweisers just taste better at this place. Thank you Longbranch Grill, you're long on flavor, long on good times, and sweet as chocolate to my pockets.

We were visiting Shelbyville for the weekend and our hosts suggested Longbranch for dinner. We didn't know what to expect in a small town but we were pleasantly surprised. The kids menu had several good options and our kids were happy with their food, served on a Longbranch frisbee. Good shrimp, chicken tenders and fries. Two of us had prime rib, which was excellent as was the French onion soup. The pork filet was also great. My wife saw buffalo chicken tenders on the menu and asked if she could have them on a salad. Our friendly server was happy to oblige and the salad showed up with a massive amount of chicken tenders, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. She was very happy with the salad. Great place for the family, we also saw dates and groups of couples enjoying their dinners.

We had dinner here on Saturday evening, they were very busy. This is a small place with probably no more than 15 tables. The wait staff was very attentive. The prices are ok, but probably a little on the high side for the Shelbyville area. My husband and I both had the chicken tender dinner, we chose French fries and asparagus for our sides. It was good, but we thought everything was slightly undercooked. We will try them again, maybe for lunch, definitely when they are slower, then maybe they will have the time to cook things just a tad more.

I only get here a couple times a year, but if I'm in Shelbyville, Longbranch is where I eat. They have great food at a great price, with a cloth-napkin level of refinement. ;) Unfortunately I order the same dish, but it has always been delicious! The triple-cheese and beef sandwich (with Parmesan-garlic mayo) is perfection on bread. I travel for work and prefer local establishments for lunch. The decor is delightfully local looking, and the help is a friendly as you could hope for. You can tell they take pride in their business.

We both had the 12 oz sirloin with 2 sides. My sirloin was a little bland but juicy. Green beans we yummy seasoned with bacon and onions. Waitstaff was very friendly and tentative. Atmosphere was casual yet elegant. Over all pretty good place to stop for a bite to eat.

This is my favorite restaurant in Shelbyville. They have great dinner choices and the food is prepared quite well. Very flavorful and steaks cooked as ordered. Prices are moderate for dinner. This week, I also had an opportunity to have lunch at Longbranch, excellent Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and the prices for lunch were great. Also, one of the only places in town where you can order a good glass of wine with your dinner.

Good restaurant with a decent-sized menu. The best "sit down" restaurant in Shelbyville! My kids love that they serve kids meals in Frisbees. Wasn't impressed that the waitress offered my kids crackers when we got there, so they said yes... and then didn't get a side with their meal. Just a heads up! Burgers and beers are great. The cheese sticks are huge, creamy, and hand-breaded... they are to die for. But NOTHING like the frozen ones you get anywhere else - they are unique and great!
