First time coming here, I was a bit confused with the layout (how to order and everything), but my friend who has been there before helped. Anyway, the staff was friendly and the food was pretty good! They def has some interesting decor on the inside too.

Food is great, but the portions are small. I like the pecan chicken salad, but there is hardly any chicken on it. The staff is very unfriendly and flat out rude. Each time I've been there, the staff seems like they are way too busy to treat me with courtesy. Is it that hard to smile? I hate to say it, but I will probably be back regardless. Their food is fresh and put together very well. They have different, healthy options. The interior is a little noisy. I almost can't even hear if I get a phone call. But it is decorated very well and it is very clean. The layout is a bit confusing-- I was standing in line and they made everyone get out of line and move it to the other side during the busy lunch rush.... Not very smart to me.

My coworkers were excited to take me here for lunch but we were all a bit let down. The sandwiches were a bit pricey which would have been okay but our Reuben specials were simply not very good. The corned beef tasted closer to a deli slice of ham and wasn't the succulent, tender, and textured cut of meat that we were expecting. The mustard was a bit dry and overly strong with lots of mustard seed and the overall, the sandwich was underwhelming. The potato and bacon soup that a couple of us had was great as were the sides of fried chips and potato salad. They offered some good beverages, including Boylan's soda and the bakery items that we had for dessert were a big hit.

3 stars for two reasons. 1. The cranberry chicken salad had 3 bites of chicken on it and barely any toppings. Mostly a bowl of lettuce. Stingy portions overall. 2. The woman taking my order at the counter was incredibly rude. Seemed annoyed by my presence and overall grumpy. She has curly dark hair so if you see her you've been warned. The baked goods seemed to be prepared daily but no one in their right mind should pay $5 plus for a brownie. I also wish they sold hallmark cards, not a large selection when I was looking for a get well soon card.

Went here last Saturday for lunch - what a relief! The atmosphere is really fun - lots of fun things around the room to shop for, plenty of people enjoying lunch, a bakery area, and the lunch counter. I had the Taste of Spain sandwich and it was probably the best sandwich I've had in Peoria. It is a bit more expensive than your typical Peoria locale, but thankfully it also doesn't look like most Peoria restaurants (this place feels pretty hip). I'll definitely be back here for a nice coffee and breakfast or for a lazy lunch. They also serve beer/wine and appetizers, so it could be a fun pre-dinner location. I recommend it!

It is amazing how creativity and quality finds its balance - a small town cafe with a big heart! Daily specials to tickle your imagination, gourmet carry-out choices, and great selection of pastries and sweets. If you happened to be around Peoria on Wed night, Cyd's make-your-own-burger on Broadwalk is a must. That is more than a dinner - it's an experience. One word for you: Delish!

Never again!! EVER!!! Their version of bruschetta is not only strange, but overly salty due to way too many kalamata olives. $41+ is strong for lunch, but worth it if the service and/or food are exceptional. I won't fault the food, other than my comment above. It's above average but still overpriced in my opinion. But the service is HORRIBLE!!! First, we watched the young lady behind the counter pick up a piece of bread in her BARE HAND, and proceed to make a sandwich. Entire process was done bare-handed, a blatant violation of health code regarding bare skin contact with RTE foods. My wife asked to have her bread toasted for her chicken salad sandwich. She was told that the grill was in a different area and he was "way to busy back there" to toast her bread. She was understandably aggravated. When our food was delivered she noted that my burger bun was toasted so she asked the young lady if she ordered her her chicken salad sandwich on a bun if she could THEN get it toasted. Again she was told no, they wouldn't take an order for a chicken salad sandwich on a bun because they were different areas and couldn't be combined like that. There wass absolutely no way to get it on a toasted anything!! Cyd and her staff can cater to the Prospect Ave/East Peoria group that is SO enamored with her restaurant, I'll take my toast loving wife, and my money, to one of the many other Peoria restaurants that want and appreciate my business.

Cyd's has one of the best burgers on the area. The portions are good, the sweet potato fries are amazing, and the staff is helpful. The "mason jars for drinks" thing isn't for everyone but I think it is fun. Give them a try!

Great food, but the staff often seem to be a bit clueless and/or just don't seem to care about pleasing the customer. Prices for the takeout food are absolutely outrageous (but the food is very good). Also, if you try to eat the takeout food in the restaurant they tell you you're not supposed to...WTF?? Get some customer service improvements and I'd give this place 5 stars instead of 3. Pretentious much?
