Of the fast food sub sandwich places, Jersey Mikes is one of the better options. What sets it apart is the fresh sliced meat. Another thing that I really like about this place is the staff. They are always super friendly. I have no complaints about the food or the atmosphere. In fact, I'd visit more frequently if their coupons lasted more than a day or two. I've signed up, and occasionally receive the free chips and drink coupon, but I've never been able to use it because it expires too quickly. Case in point, I just checked my old email and found a coupon they sent me on 4/21 that was good through 4/23. That's it ... and I didn't go, but probably would have if I had a little more time. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Yelp!

I love sandwiches! Subway, Potbellys, Jimmy Johns, Quiznos, ma and pa delis, anywhere and everywhere. Happened to be close to this Jersey Mikes and was excited to try them. The menu was perfect in size. Not too many options but enough where I was teetering between two I wanted to try. Settled on the "healthier" of those two and went with the California Club. The regular is plenty for any adult. The staff at this location was on top of the lunch rush and kept the line moving along. Seeing the meat cut fresh in a chain sandwich shop was definitely a plus. The sandwich felt fresh. Everything about it was good. Loved the options for toppings, simple and straightforward. Now to find a Jersey Mikes by me!

Fantastic subs. Definitely hand out Mike's way, though ask about the other veggies they have because sometimes a little green pepper is nice. Great soda selection too. I usually go on Sundays and its great because they have a million TVs and NFL games on. Cons: in the winter its freezing in the store all the time. They need to turn the heat way up. This is the only reason the store doesn't get a 5 star rating.

WOW! I have been dreaming of Jersey Mike's ever since I left! Upon arrival, you are quickly greeted and your order is taken as you stand in front of the grill and review all of your options! I had the big kahuna cheese steak with no jalepenos. It was so good I was speechless!!! It was prepared on the spot and I was on my way in minutes! Delicious! My only beef....no plain iced tea. The sweetend and flavored teas are just too much and sadly they carry Pepsi products. :( I bring my own drink now and am in heaven... :)

Terrible customer service. Wanted me to bring back a honey mustard bomb they call a turkey wrap as it literally was oozing on the counter at 8:45pm at night. Instead I ask to just take my name and trust me as I come in 3 days a week and Charlie once again like a robot repeats that this is not only the return policy but the way they make their wraps. Sick! Can't stand corporate morons who don't use common sense. So u basically think I'm lying is what your really saying? This is Elmhurst Charlie!!!! Shame on you and your owner!

The sandwich I recommend is the Club (Mike's way) with banana peppers. SO good. The hot sandwiches have to sit for about 10 minutes before you can actually eat them but they are good as well. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is nice as well. Jersey Mikes over subway/jimmy johns/quiznos

Awesome, awesome, awesome! It amazes me how jerk-ish people can be to a restaurant and its staff when they are eating for free. I went each of the first couple of days and found myself embarrassed to be an Elmhurstian. This staff and its managers were kicking butt, a bit weeded but still smiling and working, and I saw at least 8 people over the two days, with free coupons in hand, that made silly complaints (such as raising a big stink because they wouldn't include double meat for their free coupon) or was just downright rude to both the staff and fellow customers. One lady had 7, yes 7 free coupons, each of her sandwiches had significant "instructions" to them, and while it was taking a little longer than the average McDonald's, she had the gull to loudly complain to the customers around her how she didn't expect this place to survive because they were slow. I told her she was high maintenance and to keep her negative attitude to herself. That went over like a fart in church but how can you try to take business away from a family giving you free food? Overall, after the first few kinks are worked out, I will be eating here often. Best sub shop around!!! I highly recommend this gem of a sandwicheria.

I've had better. Bread was ok. Meats were ok. What really turned me off about the place was the fixin's section. It was to put it kindly, a mess. Everything was all over the place. This was on a Saturday evening with maybe a handful of customers, not really dinner rush time. What clinched it for me was as they were putting lettuce on my sub, they scooped up the pieces that fell from my sandwich and put it back on the main container, ready for the next customer. Yeeesh.

Having lived in Philadelphia for the last 6 years, I consider myself to have pretty high expectations for anything claiming to be a cheese steak. Give Jersey Mike's a break here... they're just another chain trying to make it in a strip mall in suburban Chicago. Sure, Jersey Mike's doesn't stack up to Jimmy John's or Quizno's or Subway or Fontano's or anything you can make at home, but they're not horrible. After all, it takes considerable effort to screw up a sub shop.

This is the best sandwich chain shop in the area. Their bread is high quality. The deli meats are sliced in front of you when your sandwich is made. They also have hot sub options which are also made in front of you on the grill. They have 3 high definition televisions so there is a reason to dine in and enjoy your meal unlike most other chain sandwich shops which want you out of there as fast as possible.

I can't think of a better way to describe my experience here than one big clusterf**k. I went for lunch and it was crowded. There were probably 30 people in the place. I saw signs that said "order here," phone orders." etc.. or something like that but it was complete chaos. There are a bunch of people behind the counter and then people standing on the other side pushing their way to the front to place their order. Just like the deli at Jewel or something. I heard a guy say "next" so I went up to the counter and placed my order. He then gave me a slip of paper. Um, okay, what am I supposed to do with this? He said to take it to the register. So do I get my sandwich first or go pay or what? I take it to the register and he says, "what did you have?" Why are you asking me that, you have it written down on the paper. Anyway, I paid for it and they said they will call you when it's ready. So where do I go, I guess, I'll just stand with the rest of the people at the counter. The guy behind the counter looks and me and says, "can I take your order?" Ugh, just give me my sandwich!!! So I finally get my sandwich and get the heck out of there. The actual sandwich was okay, nothing special. Bread was okay, very Subway like but the meat is better. I'd rather have Jimmy Johns. If I'm in the area and starving I may go back again. I'll cut them some slack for being a newly opened business and hopefully they are still working out the kinks. Don't go out of your way to stop here though, there's an Arby's across the street that I'm sure will leave you less frazzled.

O Mike, O Jersey Mike's. all I can say is: #7 Turkey & provolone,, #17 Mike's Famous Philly, #56 Big Kahuna Cheese steak- WOW & #15 Meatball & cheese. We haven't tried any wraps yet but we're still working our way through the menu. It's gonna take a while, a tasty while, but while nonetheless. So it's a franchise. BUT I swear it's just a nicer lookin' mom and pop place. They slice the deli meats as they're placing them on your sandwich. Oh and by the way- deli sandwiches Mike's way all the way. The bread is tasty. According to my east coast boyfriends, the Cheese Steak is pretty close- but not a Philly Cheese Steak. The staff is friendly and it seems like a good time at work. Even the guy that way slicing the deli meat was twirling it in his hand like a bartender and his bottle! Who knew you could flair with salami. I'm not a super fan of Subway, it's ok. and some people compare Jersey Mike's to that- NO WAY! they're crazy! I still heart Jimmy Johns, but it'll be nice to switch it up with Jersey Mike's.

twice my husband has picked up subs from jersey mike's. Both times I say, "Turkey with brown mustard and all the vegetables they have except hot peppers. Both times I get 4-5 slices turkey, 7 slices of pickles, 2 slices of tomato, a few pieces of onion and LETTUCE. No olives, no green peppers, etc.... I will stick with subway

Jersey Mike's is nothing special...closer to awful actually. The first knock was the prep area. It was a mess with lettuce and other vegetables all over the place. The bread was just sitting on the counter in the open and the sandwich was "assembled" in the open right next to the cash register on a counter top (not made stainless steel like most food shops). Not the most sanitary of environments. I ordered the roast beef and provolone sub with lettuce, tomato, seasonings, and mayo. I also got a bag of chips. The sandwich maker gave me turkey instead of beef. When I told him that it was wrong, he apologized and placed the turkey somewhere and put beef on instead. The total was over $8.50...expensive. I got back to my office and was excited to eat. That excitement quickly faded when I took my first few bites. It was one of the most tasteless and bland subs that I have ever had. I couldn't even taste the mayo, but definitely saw it on there. The seasonings did nothing either. The beef was...beefy, but had no flavor otherwise. To sum it up, this place is lame, expensive, and pretty messy. Go to Jimmy John's instead for a quick sub that tastes good.

Jersey mikes is terrible. I tried it once and I can't believe people actually eat there. Poor quality. Drenched in some nasty marinade. Maybe it was a bad day but I can't even think of a jersey mike sub anymore without thinking about my bad experience. Sorry mike!

The lady on the phone and in person was not that nice... I tried a Meatball Cheese for the first time. It was only OK. The meatballs were good but I think I would've liked more cheese and tomato sauce on it. I probably wouldn't get it again. I will stick with the Chipotle Cheese Steak!

This is my first experience with Jersey Mike's subs . So I might try then again, I did like my sub , but I didn't enjoy it much because the person making the sandwiches seem to have his glove on for every customer that order their sub. I wouldn't mine every two or three order but when he went to the side to open food doors and wipe down counter with the same terry towel and knife handle he also wipe the counter with his hands and still the same glove on. I was about to ask him change gloves but he was moving fast, because it was so busy, If the employee had NAME TAG on i would had call out is Name ask to change them. i like fact they hire a person to keep the tables clean.

I am not a Jersey Mike's-first sub sandwich type of guy. But let me say this, Jersey Mikes in Elmhurst is the best one I have been to yet. For hot (toasted) subs, it seems that Potbellies is the place to go; consider Jersey Mikes' your #1 destination for cold subs. Their 'regular' sandwiches aren't exactly cheap like Jimmy John's, but they taste great, especially when done "Mike's way" with oil & vinegar, seasonings, etc. This location had plenty of TV's, unexpected for a submarine joint, and SWEET TEA! A welcome change from Barq's root beer and diet Pepsi. They were also very courteous and prepared their sammy's with care, as well as having a meticulously clean restaurant overall. -1 star because my sub + chips + drink was just over $10; I did not anticipate paying this much, but hey, at least it was yummy. I would enjoy coming back.

Sweeeet jersey mikes (bah bah bah) Italian subs never seemed so good (so good, so good, so good). I'm a fan, can you tell? Anytime I come to this location I always get the fresh tuna or the delicious Italian sub. Tons of meats and spices and oil and vinegar. I usually never make it home to eat it. The service is always friendly and fast, I have never waites in a line, sat at a dirty table or had a negative experience. #13, it's lucky, trust me.

Took a friend here for his birthday and wow during lunch hour the line can get pretty long! However, the line is constantly moving and the service is fast-paced. My friend and I decided to get the Giant Chipotle Cheese Steak and split it. I love that the bread is nice and soft and warm. The sandwich was tasty and cheesy. I wished they would put more ingredients in it besides just the grilled onions, peppers, and chipotle mayo like lettuce and tomatoes - I wonder if I could just ask for it? I'll ask next time. Overall, I like the cheese steak, but I will definitely try something else the next time I'm there.

What a great place! I stopped here after a trip to Walmart for a small lunch snack. I have had their subs before, but nothing really outstanding and wonderful. For 1pm, the store was surprisingly empty. The one man greeted me instantly, and proceeded to joke around with me which made me smile! That's a big thing for me, if you can make me smile you have my business for life! I ordered a chicken caesar wrap and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. The rest of my journey down the food line was wonderful, both the guys working were cracking jokes and being silly. It really made the experience all that much more relaxed for me! They were even sad that I was taking it "to go"! A wonderful bunch of boys, I can't rave enough about them. Back to the food! My wrap was outstanding! The right amount of everything wrapped up in a warm tortilla shell. Extremely filling too. The soup was great as well, a very good thing to eat on a cold day. I highly recommend this place, and try a wrap! They are 100x better than the subs!

Jersey mikes is terrible. I tried it once and I can't believe people actually eat there. Poor quality. Drenched in some nasty marinade. Maybe it was a bad day but I can't even think of a jersey mike sub anymore without thinking about my bad experience. Sorry mike!
