We're local to the area and enjoy going to Brianna's for a nice breakfast (or lunch!). The atmostphere is casual and friendly, waitstaff and hostess are always smiling. The food is quite good, and although it is casual diner-type fare, the quality is high. The only drawback is it gets very crowded on weekends, but that's not unique to Brianna's, it happens at most of the brunch-type places. My favorites here are the skillets for breakfast and the turkey/cranberry wrap for lunch. It's also nice that they offer fresh fruit as a side in place of fries with the sandwiches. Very refreshing.

I've now been here once. Comparing this breakfast place to others, I would consider it average. 3/5 stars. For Elburn, sure there are limited choices but I'm not going to rate it higher because it's "better than McDonalds". Great. Anything is better. On my way in, I asked a friend if it was good and some random guy turned and said "it is amazing!". Ok, well, I wouldn't call it that, but it wasn't horrible either. I ordered an egg white Denver omelette which came with hash browns and french toast (though there were several choices). The price was $8.95 which was very reasonable. It was good, but not amazing. The decor is pretty standard for a breakfast place. Contemporary, but not modern or trendy or anything. Our waitress was nice and changed out my cup when I pointed out there were crumbs on it. For Elburn breakfast, it's good. But, I'd rather drive a little farther to Ari's Kitchen, Egg Harbor or Nosh for a better breakfast.

They have a location in S.Elgin on Randall. Served me an over cooked, inedible meal. Took two bites. Told the waitress. She said "sorry" and charged me full price. Told manager at cash register. He said "sorry" and made me pay full price. I won't go back!!!

Elburn's choices for breakfast are limited but we decided to give it a try. I ordered the Banana Nut French Toast, which was described as "our homemade Banana Nut bread". Nope, plain white bread French toast with peanuts. It was extremely disappointing. My husband ordered a Built your own skillet and it was massive but he said it is "ok" Seating is very cramped. We probably won't be going back.

ok the food is decent.. service needs help! went for breakfast no coffee or water refills. wouldn't honor coupons that they published on restaurants.com because it was a weekend! not in the "fine print"! tried a second time during the week but could verify because the "internet" was down. Very sour taste when you can wait tables correctly or honor your deals.........

Dined here for breakfast and it was delish! Got the Very Veggie Skillet (hash browns, cheese, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, onions, eggs, etc) with sides of corned beef hash and French toast. Very tasty and best skillet around in my opinion. My Dad and fiancé also thoroughly enjoyed their breakfasts. Yes it's not dirt cheap, but fairly priced. Friendly staff as well. We will be back!

My fiance' and i came here on a whim. The atmosphere is very plain. There are no pictures on the walls or anything. The breakfast was the same as most breakfast places. It was good but not exceptional. The one thing that stands out is the portions are very large. I can usually finish my meal but not here. I took some home this time.

My girlfriend and I love going here. The food is great, service is friendly, and the prices for their meals are average. I would definitely recommends topping by here and giving them a try, you won't regret it. The only downfall is that they do not accept American Express any longer so that is an inconvenience.

Elburn is kind of a food desert. There are two relatively decent restaurants downtown. Good but very small. There was also on larger "family" restaurant that has since closed that was mediocre and high priced, so when I saw this had opened, we had to try it. I had looked at the reviews regarding extra charges. These are they same as any other sit down restaurant we have dined at and, like most, I doubt enforced (sharing, etc.) Most restaurants have a "deluxe" and "Ala carte" versions of burgers and what not, however from the language of that review, I have to assume a teenager that may not be familiar with eating out.. The prices were inline with similar restaurants and the staff is extremely friendly. We went there about a week before this is being written, and know they had just opened. Our waitress was new, and almost forced being friendly however in an understandable and not obnoxious way for a new staff. The atmosphere is a inviting but nothing really of note. Things were brought out in a quickly manner and were hot. Overall, while we would not got a distance to come here, we would not hesitate if we were in the area looking for something to eat.

I don't understand why people can't feel the love for this place. It's a typical greek-style diner with anything and everything on the menu. We have eaten here often and everything has always been solid. I love that you can build your own skillet with plenty of meat/veggie choices. After suffering with Papa Gs for years, it's nice to finally have a decent choice in Elburn.

First time here. I had the Friday all you can eat fish fry. It was very tasty. The coating was nice & light, and not greasy. It came with fries, veggies & amazing cole slaw. Will certainly return! It's too bad that they didn't have a soup or salad that came with the meal.

I went to Brianna's the other day and my waitress Rosa was very friendly and kind and she took very good care of me and my family. She was very helpful in choosing what food to order, since it was my first there. There's many choices for food and the prices are really good. I'd definitely recommend going there.

Just eh. Slow service, greasy food, and strange set up. It took almost 10 minutes for one of us to get coffee and another 5 minutes for the other drink. 30+ minutes for an omelette is a bit much especially when there are only 2 other tables there. I will probably not be back.

Breakfast was great. Got Denver Skillet and was very happy. Ingredients all seemed fresh. Waitress was very friendly and kept stopping by to warm up my coffee and ask if we needed anything. She even came by post check after we were all done and still talking to give refills. Atmosphere was warm and inviting.

I'd give it a 5, but no one is perfect. Ok, the construction buildout is horrible if u are looking at details. But we are here to eat aren't we? These folks try extremely hard at what they do. Given the fall of our local diner (Papa G), this is by FAR the best sit down restaurant in Elburn. Typically we order the food to go. It is always hot and fresh. I love the Brianna skillet (it has gyros and feta) and I get a pita for my bread. If you like this dish they due an outstanding job. Papa G's ran $13 for this dish, plus add $1.25 for pita. Ouch. Out of business! Coincidence? Regardless, give this establishment a try. Enjoy! :-)

Decent food. Good skillets. I do not care for their potato pancakes. Broad menu, much larger than Papa G's was. I agree with another reviewer that many of the menu items are similar to Papa G's, but I think Briana's has much more. I have only gotten carry out there, I think girl who answers the phone on the weekends needs to be more educated on the menu. Still, Briana's is fine for Elburn. If I want better breakfast food I'll venture to Randall Rd.

This is my first time here. Have been wanting to go but never had the chance til today. With that said i was sorry i waited so long. Had the german bennedict and loved it. My waitress was very nice and attended to me with a smile and was prompt. My food came out in a very reasonable time and i enjoyed every bite. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked. I sat in a booth and didn't get any extra charge. The menu offers many different selections and i can't wait to go back and try them.

I've been back here a handful of times, for breakfast and lunch, and the difference from my first review is night and day. The food and service have consistently been great! Brianna's is in a good groove and the kinks have disappeared. The eggs benedict sauce still needs some work (sorry I'm a bit of an eggs benedict primadonna) but overall the quality and taste of the food have been delicious.

My husband and I are regular patrons of Papa G's in Elburn but we are always open to trying new places. So when we walked into Brianna's for lunch today, we were excited at the prospect of having another eatery to frequent. But I don't think this will be it. When we entered the restaurant, we were not greeted warmly; in fact, we weren't really greeted at all. The woman at the register looked a bit frazzled and it took a few minutes before she was able to grab menus and take us to our booth. No biggie. Our waitress was a young girl (18-ish?) and it was instantly apparent that she was inexperienced. She, too, seemed a little frazzled although we were there "off hours" and there was only one other table of customers in our section. She took our drink order and then we did not see her for a good 10 minutes. When I finally caught her eye, she came over and when I said we were ready to order she said, "Oh yeah...right" and it was obvious that she had completely forgotten that we were her table. I ordered the vegetarian pita and my husband got a burger plate. Both were preceded by chicken noodle soup which was very good. But my husband's soup bowl had overspilled onto the plate below and had almost no noodles in it. My soup was packed with noodles. Both of our main entrees (a little slow to arrive) were very good. Our server did stop by to check in on us but my husband still had a chunk of meat on his plate when she breezed by again and pulled the plates off the table and handed us the check. No "can I get you anything else" or "Would you like dessert?" When we paid out check on the way out, the gal was very friendly and asked us if we lived in the area and if we liked our meal. It was the first real "warm and fuzzy" we had felt and by this point, it was coming a tad too late. Bottom line....This place just opened so perhaps they need to work out the kinks. Maybe we just hit it on an off day.

I, as a rule, never give a place less than 3 stars. Brianna's broke my rule. Let me tell you why. Let's start off with the menu. On the back is an entire list of "fine print" items. You may not share a meal unless you pay extra. You may not share a senior meal at all. You may not sit in a booth unless you pay $2.50. Yes, read that again. Have you ever seen such an abhorrent practice?! My spouse and I frequent restaurants and, having never seen this practice, this offended us both. So, I'll admit this put me in a foul mood before I even ordered. However, the party next to us returned their hashbrowns because, although she ordered them well-done, they arrived burnt. My spouse ordered his hashbrowns well-done as well, and they came nearly raw. I ordered banana chocolate chip pancakes, only to receive plain pancakes with half a sliced banana on top. I mentioned this to the server, and she offered to replace them for me, but what's the point when my spouse already had his food? I ate them as is...and was not impressed. I never got a refill of my water. Also, we felt like we waited forever for the check. All in all, we were very disappointed and will never return.

Well.. I didn't even bother ordering here with my dad. We went in, and the waiter had no clue what he was doing. Then we were told that fries and coleslaw are extra for the burger order? What the fuck? That is a first. Then, the menu requires a PHD to decipher! Finally it's too small and the workers were unfriendly. Never returning.

Stuck with not many good sit down choices to eat around Elburn it was a welcomed site to see Brianna's Pancake Cafe open. Let's start with the restaurant. Very nicely laid out with plenty of comfortable seating. They can accommodate small and big parties. The wait staff was attentive and very friendly. Now the food. Their food is top notch. I have had breakfast and dinner there and I have not been disappointed. The quality of the food is much better and tastier than the other cafe style restaurant in town that has been there for years. Not sure why anyone would prefer that place over Brianna's because you can taste the difference in the freshness and the quality. We will continue to go here. Welcome to Elburn Brianna's Pancake Cafe. We hope you stay a long time. We needed a restaurant like you in this town.

Really nice place. The service was fast. They just opened so the server didn't quite know the menu, but that's understandable. Food was really good. We got 2 skillets and they were excellent and really big. Check this place out.

This restaurant has so-o-o-o much potential, expecially with Papa Gs closing. The first time we went to Brianna's, the waitress seemed a little unfamiliar with things, but they were new. We gave them a second chance. The next time, service was quite slow, and we were on a schedule. Oh well. Stuff happens. Today my husband and I were there for lunch. Our waiter seemed very unfamiliar with the "ettiqute" of a waiter. Seemed very awkward in the position. I had to repeat things when placing my order. We each ordered burgers--each medium rare. My husband's burger was nicely pink in the center. My burger was overcooked with no pink and very dry. When we asked how two medium rare burgers could be so different, we discovered that the waiter had failed to indicate the doneness of my burger. And the chef apparently didn't ask. I think Brianna's serves quality food. But if they don't train their waitstaff, they will not succeed.

I went to Brianna's today with some skepticism due to a review about "extra charges". Very sad that most of what was said is simply not true. They do NOT charge extra for a booth seat, they do NOT charge extra for fries with a hamburger!! They ask that more than $2.50 is spent if you have a booth seat. Every hamburger came with fries and dinners came with soup or salad. Pam, our waitress, was wonderful and even brought rice pudding to our table for free. She knew of our concern about "extra charges", and went our of her way to make our experience perfect. The biscuits and gravy was delicious and the eggs (over easy) was perfect. A great place for breakfast and there must be 75 other choices for meals. My friends mother thought she had lost her earring (found in parking lot.) Pam took down her phone number to call if she found the earring. Great service excellence!! I usually save "5 stars" for higher end restaurants, but for a great meal at decent prices, this restaurant gets 5 stars for effort!!
