My husband and I went here with his dad because he was visiting from South Carolina. He loves Italian food and we've had Biaggi's in the past so we decided to eat here. We went on Friday, October 18, 2013 for dinner. We were seated right away and our waiter was very attentive and checked on us frequently. The food was delicious, as always. I had the parmesan encrusted tilapia. My husband had the Trio of Tuscany and my father in law had the lasagna. We finished all of our food without hesitation.

My sister was in town visiting and we wanted to try something different.... We did not have a reservation, but were seated promptly....our server Jenna was so amazing!! She was patient, attentive and very knowledgeable! Jenna offered great food advice and even offered to buy us dessert if we did not like her suggestion... Well, we did!!! It was delicious! I was so impressed with this place, but the service blew me away!!! Priced just right, the portions are fairly large... the Sangria was very good as well... Overall, a great experience... definitely worth the 60 minute drive from Chicago!!!

I think the food at Biaggi's is great. It is a solid family restaurant, we are happy and so are the kids. The service is VERY inconsistent! Last night we had a waitress that was so rude. No manager to tell when we left so we didn't mention it. We have eaten there a few times. I would say half of those times we have had horrible waitress. One was in a pre-shift meeting and left us after getting our food for probably 20 min. Forget about if we needed anything else to make our meal enjoyable. Our server last night was so rude. Wish I knew her name because I would point it right out on here. That is how rude she was. Never checking back, rude when I said excuse me to get her attention, she abruptly turned around and said "do you want your check". No, we just wanted a dessert menu. No water re-fills. She was pathetic...Management should be more aware and walking around. Never see that. I hope they figure it out b/c I would hate the good food ruin by the usually horrible service.

First of all, what Italian restaurant does not have chicken piccata? Second of all, there were no veal choices at all. I think that's odd. I've been to the Biaggi's in Deer Park and I remember having a much better experience there than at this one. This restaurant is not romantic. It is loud and noisy. I was still able to hold a conversation but the atmosphere was definitely not as cozy as it was when this was Stoney River. I had a house salad to start - I asked for parmasan dressing. They brought me the house salad with the house dressing on it and then brought me the dressing I requested. The server we had was new so the server training him asked if I wanted to switch my salad but I had already eaten a bunch and was getting full anyway so I said no. Then I had the shrimp oreganata. The shrimp was okay. The pasta it came with was fine. Everything was just okay. My Dad had the shrimp/crab cannelloni which he loved! He also told me that he had the cookie dessert on another occasion and it was really good. This restaurant is good for a quick weeknight dinner. I wouldn't go here for a date night or if I wanted really good Italian food. I left feeling full but not super satisfied.

My husband and I were excited to see Biaggi's in downtown Deerfield as it was a place we frequented in Bloomington while we were in college. I remembered it for having decent food. Surprisingly, each time we called for a reservation, the first times available were 9:00 p.m. or later. Anytime we tried to walk in, they had 1.5-2 hour wait times. This was surprising as there are tons of great restaurants in the area with more 'authentic' food. We finally were able to get a decent reservation and checked it out. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! The bartenders are not very friendly and do not necessarily know their drinks, but the rest of the service was good. They were so busy and our server kept apologizing for because she was running around so much. We had an 8:00 reservation and did have to wait about 20 minutes longer, but the hosts were friendly and accommodating so we didn't mind. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant is a gem in the heart of Deerfield. They serve exquisite and delicious italian dishes. Beet Salad, capellini di mare and risotto with grilled veggies are really exceptional. They have friendly and courteous staff. The bartenders and manager are very accomodating.

We love to eat here! Not a good spot for a romantic night out though, VERY loud. And for the price and what is on the menu, we sort of expected it to be quiet. We usually go during the week too so we can avoid the crowd but there always is one. But that is okay because we still love the food. Oh there was a time when I was wearing a sexier top for my husbands enjoyment and the waiter appeared to be enjoying it too, but we complained and got a different waiter. Still love it though!

We will NEVER go back to Biaggi's. We go out to eat a lot and i love Italian food. I ordered the pork Chop and without looking i took a bite and it was RAW. I never lose my appetite, but i just couldn't eat. they offered to cook it but i just could eat. Then the manager came over to offer to "comp" my meal. What nerve did he really think i would pay for it. did he really think offering me a free meal i didn't even eat would make up for a bringing me a RAW piece of pork would make up for ruining my dinner. Which by the way was a large party of 12 birthday dinner for my nephew. We have never been back and NEVER will. STAY away it not worth it.

Loveeee Biaggi's!!!! For chain restaurants, i personally think its waaaay better than Olive Garden and a step up from Maggianos. Every time im here, our group always orders calamari, bacon wrapped dates, capellini di mare and fettuccini w/ lobster I personally dont like dates. So i was kinda skeptical at first. But the crispy bacon and the sweet savory sauce made the dates taste great! I would eat it all if my body allows me to do so :P If you are a fan of calamari, i would order it from here as well. It is light and crispy and doesnt have that bad, not fresh, fishy smell to it. Now to the amazing pastassss!!! I almost always get Fettuccini w/ lobster. I think the black fettuccini they use just makes the dish more delicious. The lobster cream sauce blends in well with the mushrooms and the black pasta. It is very rich and i always have left overs to take home. If you are a huge seafood fan, then the Capellini Di Mare is a great choice for you. They do not skimp on seafood. And it is pretty fresh too. My BF was unadventurous and stuck with the basic Chicken Parmesan. I can't say it's good enough that ill ever want to get it again but it wasnt bad either. With all the other great choices they offer, this one is definitely not on my list at all. Overall, their pasta's are not drenched in oil like some other restaurant i know of (aka, olive garden) their bread is always fresh and warm. I've been there many many times and the quality has always been the same. I would definitely recommend this place if you are craving for some pasta! *During some months, they do $10 pastas every Tuesday! Great deal for a huge bowl of pasta!

  • Jenny B.

AWFUL!!!!! My husband's cannelloni came COLD!! We kindly sent it back and they gave it back NUKED!!!! For a $20 dish, they couldn't even prepare another one?!? And the server was barely apologetic, as if to say, "we do it all the time..." It was our first experience here and our very LAST!!! Go down the street to Rosebud or down the block to Italian kitchen! Even better...take drive down to Merlo's in Highland Park. Any one of these places offers quality food with quality service. Biaggi's blows!

I have been to Biaggi's in Deerfield several times now. The food is delicious (nice portion sizes for the price, too), friendly and attentive staff, good wine list - all in a beautiful setting. It's a great choice for Italian food on the North Shore!

Very nice ambiance (formerly Stoney River). The food was good, although the portions could have been larger.

Corporate Spaghetti. To explain Biaggis simply, it would be placed in between Olive Garden and Maggianos. The staff was excellent, on top of their game, and friendly. The restaurant is beautiful, mostly due to the prior Stoney River setup. A HUGE turnoff to me is the simplest thing, Water. Yes, at Biaggis in Deerfield, located just 2 miles from Lake Michigan, you must ask for water. A big dumb corporate policy. Food was tasty, Stromboli was a favorite. I would give this place 4 stars, but the fact that it is a chain deducts 1/2 star, and the no water policy deducts 1/2. It's a nice place, I'll go back. It was very affordable (1app,1pizza,1pasta,4cocktails) $65.

My family and I went to Biaggi's for a birthday dinner. I was told they have some pretty killer salmon so I already knew I wanted fish for my entree. The menu had a variety of items and all sounded so delicious. It was almost hard for me to decide ! I did end up settling with desired fish. I ordered the potato-parmesan crusted tilapia. Two people at my table ordered the eggplant parmesan and the plate was licked clean, so I assume their dish was quite delectable! As an appetizer, we ordered calamari. Unfortunately, this was probably some of the worst calamari I had. It had a very odd taste and the sauces did little to add flavor. I know everyone else enjoyed it at the table, but I just found it eh...I definitely had my fair share of outstanding calamari. Aside from that, my dish was fairly good. Nothing worth raving about. The lemon basil sauce was a great touch though. I did try a little of the salmon ( I love people who share food) and I have to admit it was great! Very fresh tasting and excellent seasoning. At the end of the meal, we of course had to order dessert. Again, it was a little of a challenge to decide on something! So many options!! The birthday boy ordered his very own dessert( Tirami Su) He finished it in about 4 minutes, so I couldn't even get a bite!! It looked phenomenal though! As a table, we shared the bombolini. I am so happy we settled with this dessert! I highly recommend this!!! If you have a love for cinnamon then this is your dessert. It almost reminded me of Auntie Anne's cinnamon pretzel bites! So yummy! I probably would not rush back to this place anytime soon, but if you're looking for pretty good Italian food in the burbs, then this is a place to try!

Not a good sign when you go early and the place is fairly empty and the host asks if you have reservations. Asking wasn't the bad sign. It was his demeanor when we said no. Second bad sign. In this fairly empty restaurant we were seated in a booth behind a family of 3 who had been there 3 hours. The child who was about 6 pounded on the booth seat and cried quite a bit. Apparently she also spent quite a bit of time annoying other customers by running around. First off, bad parents - your child is tired. Second, knowing this situation why would you seat anyone near them when there were plenty of tables. Third, why weren't these people asked to leave. Isn't better to risk alienating 2 adults than several? We asked to be moved. Once at new table, I'm really hard pressed to find anything above average that would offset the beginning of our dining experience.

My husband and I have dined here on several occasions, alone and with guests, and while the food has never disappointed us, the service has been consistently slow and inattentive. This slow service has taken place both on busy weekends, and slower weeknights where there have been plenty of empty tables.

Great tomato soup and beet-goat cheese salad. The soup was hot and flavorful and the salad ingredients really worked well together. The lunch combos here are a good deal too. A little dark in terms of lighting for lunch but otherwise a solid option in the Deerfield area.

We were greeted by Marco, we were road weary and hungry. He made us feel welcome like family. He noticed we were chilly, and REALLY turned down the ac. Our server, Colin, was great! Recommendations were excellent. We had the lobster Alfredo with black fettuccine, chicken Parmesan and chicken Marsala. We each had a Caesar salad to start. The bread was warm and fresh from the oven. Substitutions (croutons on the side, seasonal vegetables instead of garlic mashed potatoes, etc ) were gladly accommodated. And we were surprised at the end with their bread pudding, deep fried and served with caramel and cinnamon and vanilla ice cream. This was an incredible culinary experience, totally unexpected, totally appreciated. Service was impeccable across the board.

So, this is not a bad spot. I have visited twice for work (once for lunch, once for happy hour/light dinner). I had a good lunch, though I did think portion sizes were a bit small. I had more fun at happy hour/dinner since the appetizer selections are good and they are half priced from 3-6pm. Also, the $4 house wine (the white at least) wasn't half bad - even my European friends liked it. All in all, it's a good spot in the area (where there are plenty of options, but not a lot of 'good' ones), but I wouldn't drive miles and miles to go here. Bacon wrapped dates - yum Bruschetta - pretty good Mushrooms - really really oily Service - 3 Food - 3 Atmosphere - 3 Value - 4 (for happy hour) Bathrooms - 4

We love Biaggi's! We haven't gone to Italian restaurants for the last 30 years because my husband is allergic to wheat. But friends told us that they have a gluten-free menu so we went in to try it and are we glad we did! They serve fresh-baked GF bread, made to order so you have to wait a short time for it but it's wonderful. We've had many of the dishes they offer and they've all been excellent. Make sure you try the bacon-wrapped dates with a balsamic glaze. This appetizer is worth the trip all by itself!

The food here is decent as is the service. It's pretty standard Italian fare with a few really nice seafood choices thrown in. The lobster fettuccine has a nice creamy sauce and the kid's menu has some nice selections.

good food, however had a terrible experience with the girl who worked at the bar. We came in on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy so we sat at the bar. We got completely ignored and had to flag her down every time we needed something. She chatted it up with the older costumers paying full attention to everyone else and their orders. We are younger females and feel the service was terrible and the way we were treated compared to the other costumers was plain bad business.

Let me first start off by saying I love Biaggi's--but after this incident I will NEVER be back. Hello Maggianos! Because my now fiance and I love Biaggi's, we wanted to have our engagement party here. We called and book everything, but then figured out that they have a limit of only 20 people. Which is unfortunate but fine. So my fiance calls to cancel since we would have 22 people attending. Maybe there is a lot of miscommunication that goes on, or someone does not know how to correctly delete something on a computer and/or schedule book, but on our engagement day, the manager calls and leaves a message saying that they were waiting for us. HOLD ON. WHAT?! You can only imagine our confusion. First of all, we called to cancel (we have proof on our phone records). Second, there was a deadline on when and what to decide for the menu, but they NEVER called us to ask if we had made a decision on the menu. They never called to confirm. So you would think that it was canceled for sure since all the deadlines were passed and we didn't hear A WORD from them. The only "confirmation" we received was a voicemail on the day of saying that they were waiting and that we will be charged $200. Quite an expensive mistake on our part by not having the cancelation in writing. Thank you Biaggi's for ruining our engagement day.

Dined there last night. Was my first really good experience at this location but still prefer the Deer Park restaurant. Had the Capellini de Mare which was quite good with all of the seafood was fresh and tasty. The baked Penne with mushrooms was also flavorful. Can't put my finger on why I'm still not sold on this...

Great soups, pastas and salads, I've come to appreciate the lunch specials with warm bread. There are usually a couple of bread options, including a salted leek bread and traditional Italian. What's better, it's served with fresh parmesan cheese and good quality olive oil for dipping with fresh cracked pepper. I've tried the lobster bisque, and it's a tasty, rich option for just a buck more on the special. My favorite salad is the wedge, with a nice blue cheese dressing, bacon and tomato. I've also tried the Caesar, and it is OK! On the pasta side, I've tried the shrimp and crab cannelloni, fettuccine with lobster, Ziti al forno and the Penne Sardi. There are no misses here. The options are all very good. I was surprised by the spiciness of the Capelline Di Mare-- absolutely delicious. These are hearty, rich options and are an amazing bargain. Service is great. I tend to sit at the bar and the bartender knows me now after just a few visits. The hostess and remaining staff are super friendly too. The atmosphere is like a woodsy club, very quiet and inviting. I'm a fan of this place, and they have my lunch vote.

My wife and I have been there twice. She is gaga about the place, she likes the Capellini di Mare. I liked the sausage pizza. Crab cakes good. But I had pannini sandwiches on 2 different occasions for lunch and I have to say they were below par --meats seemed to be processed meat. Presentation of food, above average. Service was always good for us. I get the impression that pasta dishes and seafood dishes are above par but sandwiches just okay. So for the price, this place is okay but not exceptional.

I guess you tried Biaggis. But not nearly hard enough. I realize a single diner on a week night doesn't deserve the best attention, but really, Pedro is busy enough behind the bar. He really can't give me the attention I deserve. Even bringing my empty wine glass to the bar to request a refill doesn't quite get the idea across that I really would like a refill before the glass goes empty. But I can't blame Pedro for the petit filet that has been overexposed to so much meat tenderizer that it barely resembles meat. And medium does mean a warm pink center, not overdone to the point of dryness. The veggies were tasty, but when the dish calls for potatoes, I expect more than an obligatory sliver of spud as an "accent". The hostess and I shared a laugh about the designation. Oh well, thanks for the experience, but I think I will pass if I am ever in your neighorhood again.

We went here again, and the food is still just ok. Hubby and I like to sit at the bar. Drinks are decent. The lobster corn chowder is GREAT, especially with Tabasco added. I wrote two other reviews... I am doing this update because I am revising it to 3 stars. I just don't think the food warrants 4 stars. Now with Bobby's across the street, we have a better choice!

My family and I moved to Deerfield a couple of years ago and always passed this restaurant but never tried it! We finally decided to try it so we made a reservation the morning of for dinner. When we arrived, it wasn't extremely busy but they gave us a nice booth right by the fireplace. We started with their yummy onion/garlic bread along with their sourdough. The onion bread was the best by far because it was soft, melted in our mouth, and was the perfect pair for olive oil and seasoning. We ordered two appetizers: Bruschetta and the Honey-Roasted Beet & Arugula Salad. The Bruschetta was great and very well plated. There was a fresh mozzarella ball for each piece and it came with about six crostini. If you like beets, the salad is the appetizer to get. It was paired with cranberries, pistachios, and goat cheese and all of it went very well together. For our main meal, each of us got something different. I got the Butternut Squash Ravioli which I loved but I did not realize it came with walnuts so I just pushed those to the side. My sister got the Garlic Shrimp Oreganata and she loved it!! Eight shrimp were paired with a center of angel hair tossed with tomatoes and basil. I would really recommend this for all seafood lovers. My parents got the Baked Penne Sardi and the Lasagna Bolognese. They both loved their dishes and finished it all the way. The mushrooms in the Penne dish were very good and I definitely recommend it. My sister and I ordered the Nutella Cookie Skillet to go and it was delicious. Their vanilla bean ice cream is very rich but the cookie does not have a ton of Nutella in it if you are a Nutella lover. Overall, I definitely recommend a Biaggis and my family will definitely return often.

The more I go to Biaggi's, the more I like it. And it's quickly become a necessary go-to every time I visit Chicago. The lunch special is absolutely killer... I was right the first time. That half salad-half pasta deal is fantastic! I still love the Messina salad, and I would be hard-pressed to decide which pasta is my favorite. I still do love that butternut squash ravioli, although the fettucine with lobster is absolutely fabulous too (although super creamy!) The cannelloni stuffed with shrimp and crab is also a must-try. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered here, and was recently especially impressed with the roasted beet salad. This isn't part of the half-and-half deal, so you'll have to try it at dinnertime. You have to! Our waitress for dinner the other night, Jenna, was really great and deserves some recognition. We bonded. You rock, Jenna!

Nice restaurant setting and great bar. The interior is very nice and comfortable. The menu has lots of options and I have enjoyed many of their pizzas and pastas. They could stand to improve their wine list (not horrible but uninteresting and could be better).

First time here, not sure why we've never been but glad we finally decided to stop in. Great ambience. Great food and service. Good portion size and just really good. Prices are on par. Only reason for 4 stars is the waiter tried to say I ordered a different drink than I did even though I pointed to the item on the menu and said the name if the wine (top of the list) And reminded him of this and he said yeah this is, um no. White wine is top of the list. Not red. But other than that, the waiter was friendly. I'm sure we'll be back again!

Awesome food! I had a delicious dinner meal, and it was so good that I took part of it home to eat later, and it was just as good microwaved and two days later than it was in the restaurant! The restaurant is clean and our server was very friendly! The best part, I think, was probably the nutella skillet cookie with vanilla ice cream I had for dessert! Absolutely the most delicious thing I have ever eaten! I love Biaggi's and will return, even though it is a bit expensive!

I hadn't ever tried this chain of Italian restaurants, but am pleasantly surprised. This restaurant used to be Stoney River steakhouse. The drink menu is fabulous but I rated the PM bartender far better than the AM bartender because I ordered a Lemon Drop and the PM bartender made it the way it should taste! I had the Shrimp Oreganata and they give you 8 large shrimps which was way to much for me so the portions were hefty and tasty. I also recommend the appetizer lobster and crab dip...deliciousness! Desserts were great...we shared the Apple Crostata, baked Cappuccino, Torte Cioccolata. My favorite was between the Crostata or the Cappuccino. The chocolate cake was not the best I have had. Coffee was good, too by the way.

My family and I used to go to the deer park biaggis when I was in high school. I didn't know a location had opened in Deerfield and noticed it when suggesting a place to meet and eat with some old friends. The restaurant was pretty cold on this 30 degree night which was not cool. We were seated behind a fireplace (that wasn't even on) so we were kind of away from the crowd, which made us hard to see and may have contributed to the mediocre service we received. After being seated, we waited about 7 minutes before a man walked up to us and asked if we had been greeted. He took our drink orders- he recommended a Cabernet for me and my friends requested a cocktail menu- before he left. About 5 minutes later, a girl who looked kind of frazzled and confused walked up and said she was told to tak care of us, confirmed the wine I wanted and handed my friends their drink menus. When my friends gave their drink orders we ordered an appetizer and asked for some butter. It took us asking another busboy about the butter before we got it and it took another 10 mins for my friends to get their drinks. Basically service was kind of slow through our whole meal... As far as the food goes, we ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli which had a delicious cream and scallion sauce. This was prob my fave part of the meal. My friend got the lobster soup and said it was just ok. The breads in the beginning were decent. I enjoyed the Italian bread much more than the focaccia which was extremely oily. As an entree I got the eggplant Parmesan. It really liked the spaghetti that was on the side but didn't really like the eggplant. It was sliced too thick so wasn't cooked well and rather than being "lightly fried" it was definitely deep fried. One friend got the lasagna and she said it was decent. My third friend is super picky and basically eats plain noodles with plain chicken so she was happy with her meal but it's kind of hard to screw it up ;-). Anyways overall the service was slow, the restaurant was freezing, and the food was not that great. I wonder if deer parks biaggis has changed from when I was in high school, but if I do return to biaggis, I'll probably check that one out instead next time.

$10.00 for THREE RAVIOLI... I was happy to see that they had small or half/lunch portions, then I was shocked to see that I got only THREE ravioli. I can't imagine what restaurant wants their guest to go away hungry... or do they really believe that can satisfy somone? My low rating is for the price. The pasta (only had pasta) was good. However, they never seem to have meat filled ravioli, always cheese.

I ate here last night for the second time. The food was fantastic as I had remembered it, and our waitress was very friendly and conscientious. However, the management's superb handling of a potentially problematic situation was very impressive. Our food took a while to come (I got the sense that there were some problems in the kitchen) and the manager came to our table, apologized, and offered us free desserts before we had even said anything about the situation! Also, it was my birthday and I was thrilled by our waiter bringing out dessert with a candle in it without even being asked. Biaggis is an excellent restaurant and I was even more impressed by their service. Management is doing an excellent job and the food is always wonderful. Recommend!!

This gets 4 stars for a number of reasons--good pasta, . . . but, yes, but in addition, it has a gluten free menu. But Stephen M, you have no such issues. True, very true, but my partner does. It's refreshing to see restaurants realizing that food issues should not stand in the way of good dining. Biaggi's recognizes this. Example: ask for a gluten free menu, you get gluten free bread to your table without asking. Additional note: the gluten free pasta is al dente and real, tasty food (not pasty--take note Maggiano's). This is a good solid Italian place with comfortable decor with a skilled staff. If you're not in the mood for a good lasagna or spaghetti and want to go light, the seafood cobb is wonderful.

Awesome wedge salad with tomato, bacon, crumbled blue-cheese and the most amazing house-made blue-cheese dressing. Undoubtedly the BEST thing I have ever eaten...I kid you not.

Great lunch specials with salad refills. I usually go with a group of 6 or more, and the service is always prompt so we can get back to work within a reasonable time. I've ordered the cod fish entree before, and the portion is decent for price. The lunch specials are what our group really like though. For less than $10, you get can 2 half of salad, soup, pasta, pizza, or sandwich with unlimited fresh bread. The service is friendly too. I don't and can't ask for much more. I will definitely be back again.

Worst service ever! Went to Biaggi's with co-workers on our lunch break and lunch turned into a 2hr ordeal! We had reservations for 10 people at 11:45am. We arrived before the lunch rush and they couldn't get us seated right away. When we got seated and placed our orders the server never came back to tell us why our food was taking so long and she had to be tracked down for refills on drinks. When we were able to locate the server to ask what the holdup was she blamed everything on her manager and claimed that she was off somewhere fighting with him. Then when the food finally arrived my dish which was only a half of a panini and salad the panini not only arrived cold but it was the wrong panini! I was so upset at this point I didn't even bother to say anything. The manager did come to our table to talk to us to apologize ONLY and one of the girl's on our table demanded compensation which he did provide. ...50% off the bill. All in all this was the worst dining experience, food sucked, service sucked and I will not be returning. Note to the restaurant: if your establishment can't handle large parties then you should not accept reservations for big groups.

Excellent food, service--Jenna was our server, she was particularly helpful with the menu as I am first time visitor to Deerfield. Definitely recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

Ate lunch here for a work outting. Large group and service was excellent. Thanks Jacquelyn!!! Refills of drinks and bread right on time each time glass or bread basket was nearly finished. Everyone loved their food and even ordered desert after such large servings. Due to such a large group, there was some confusion when packing up the remaining portions of those who wanted to bring their leftovers home. Because I couldn't find my bag of goodies, Biaggi's made me another serving of my dish (lobster/shrimp pasta) with bread!!! How considerate and such a pleasant surprise in a world where great customer service is hard to come by. I will definitely be back! And yes~ later it was discovered that the server did package my leftovers but someone else picked it up on accident. Now I have 2 servings!!! Yaaay!

Food was good, more like a 4 start, however, service was a 2 so I decided to give this place a 3. Large portions, food tasted good (I had the butternut squash ravioli), however a bit too much salt/sauce/masking the flavor of the actual noodles. Makes me wonder on the quality of food when restaurants do this-too much seasoning/sauce. What really bothered me, and my other 9 diners the night we came was after we had paid our bill, we sat at the table and kept talking. The manager came up to us and presented another bill saying that the waiter forgot to put the "drinks" on our food bill. He asked us to pay this bill which totaled $50. I mean, c'mon, it's $50, couldn't he just let it go? We all had to divide up this bill and present our credit cards again to him. Very awkward. What if we had already left the restaurant, would they come chasing us down the parking lot waving this $50 bill after us? I thought it was very inappropriate because it was the restaurants mistake, afterall. Kinda put a bad taste in my mouth about this place.

I typically go to the location at Deer Park, but this one is closer to my work. I come here occassionally with work friends. Same great food, same great service. The only complaint I have with this location is that sometimes I'll get charged a surcharge for ordering gluten-free. I've never encountered that at the Deer Park location, and it only happens sometimes, so I don't know what the official policy is. However, the food is just as good, so that's all that matters. They have a lot of fabulous offerings - love their salad with the roasted red peppers! Bring back the chicken piccata!!! That was my favorite entree, but appears to come and go from the menu, and currently, it's gone.

Great place for good food. Service has always been fantastic and the food comes out quickly from the kitchen. Much better environment than other nearby restaurants. The quality and quantity of the food has also been right on.

Food was actually pretty good (I had heard more mediocore reviews) and reasonably priced. Service was very good. Wait staff behind the bar was particularly fun! However, the wait for a table was long.

It is a great restaurant when you go there but once picked up is disgusting. Good choices of food and and overall great restaurant.

They don't make a single pasta in house. Overpriced. Feels awkward in a repurposed restaurant space.

Frankly after the complete train-wreck that was Rosebud next door to Biaggi's... my standards aren't really that high. 1. Ambiance : 5 Stars. COZY, Romantic. 2. Noise: 5 stars. Large, spacious, private tables. 3. Main Entrees: 2 Stars. Over-priced for Olive Garden Knock-Offs - only WORSE!!! TOO MUCH CREAM and OIL in EVERYTHING. Even the tomato sauce is all oil - no tomatoes or veggies. The bread was all ends of spoiled loafs. Pasta and fish dishes with veggies or tomatoes had to incorporate "Fried" foods. DIET and CULINARY FAIL. 4. Filet Mignon Medallions on salad: MELTED like BUTTER.. could cut with a spoon. YUMMMM. 4. Drinks ; Passable. A 2.5 - 3. I was OK on the wine (though all stuff in the Jewel-Osco down the street, sadly :-( ... but my husband would have appreciated a better beer selection. 5. Salads : plain... overpriced. Limited toppings, skimpy. I did ask for extra raw veggies which helped a ton. ... And they didn't charge!!! Rank for salads: 3.5. *That's really good for me!* 6. Service: Friendly, but slow and sporadic. Seven people came to our table. It was like a crazy circus show. I heard about 70 year-old customers' boners and a great burger joint down the street before I even got a drink. C'mon, folks!! This is a Friday night in Deerfield. Use some discretion!! I understand from a couple of servers I purposely asked whether or not they're dong well. They're not. Crappy Rosebud has everybody. Here's WHY:::::::::::::::::::: At least the food isn't BATHED in fats. We, The North Shore, will pay for actual foods vs. crappy oil-drenched Olive Garden rip-offs!! Grazie!

We had the worlds slowest service and my chicken tasted like dirty grill. It was one of the worst meals in years. I will never go back.

My husband and I have enjoyed Biaggi's several times since it has opened. The service is consistently excellent...clean, attentive wait staff. The food is satisfying. The atmosphere is pleasant. Overall, a good addition to the neighborhood. We definitely plan to continue enjoying Biaggi! Michele G. Highland Park

My girlfriend and both had very good meals. We started with a nice medeteranian soup. She had a salmon salad and I had a chicken parmesian. We were greeted by a nice hostess, had a helpful waiter, had prompt service, and the atmosphere was pleasant and romantic.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
