This location is not the same anymore. Yes they remodeled everything but what's the purpose if you have crappy workers. Have they ever been trained before is my question ? We Walked in and the lady never asked if we would prefer booth or table . Then she walked all around to find which table was empty and the restaurant was not busy at all. My opinion they should have the tables checked off and numberd. We get to our table And wait 10 minutes to be asked what we would like to drink . We received our drinks. Walks off then another 5 minutes later brings the menus !!!!! Takes about 15 minutes to take our orders then we wait about 30 minutes to get our food . Food was delicious but what am I suppose to eat with my hands . This place needs some stepping up to do or you will run out of business

The service here is terrible. Pancakes are good. My friend, a regular at Denny's, ordered sweet tea and the waitress came out with regular iced tea. He told her that it wasn't sweet tea. Sweet tea by the way is on the menu... but our server responded to him that they don't make it sweet in the back anymore. Diners have to put the sugar in themselves. Ummm... granulated white sugar does not dissolve in cold liquid. Sheesh. On top of that, no straws... I thought this was standard. I didn't ask for them waiting for her to react when she brings out my strawberry banana smoothie (which are decent), but still, no straw. She came back to check up on us and I started to obnoxiously use my spoon. Haha, no straw still. The interior of this place is also very outdated as well, but their pancakes are good. :)

Very understaffed. Terrible service. It took an hour just to get 2 waffles. Waitress seemed inexperienced and not trained very well. After waiting an hour I got bacon instead of sausage I ordered. Probably never going back to the dennys at this location ever again.

We were seated right away. Our coffee and water was prompt. Never seen the server after that. Sat there for 20 minutes......waited ..... Got up and left. Poor customer service :-( . Wasn't like it was busy. It was just after 1am. My husband even left $3.00 on the table for two sips of our coffee!! EPIC FAIL! SMH

Stopped in here for a quick bite to eat and it was worth the stop. Had the Turkey Club with regular fries and it was pretty good. Service was timely and I was seated within 30 seconds of walking in. Only complaint was the fact that the waitresses were working very hard but their so called bus boy was lazily sitting in back doing nothing and leaving dirty dishes etc. on their tables. And to think that they actually have to share some of their tips with him like most places like this. One young lady got fed up and went and back to tell him to get off his butt and go do his job because customers were even beginning to complain. She then came out with one of the bus boy bins and cleared off and wiped down 5 tables and booths before he dragged himself out of the back. To top it off he actually went to 2 of the tables that she had already done, acted like he was doing something and then went to the back again. Who needs someone like that. I give her high kudos for taking it upon herself to see that the tables were taken care of properly. And it showed that she actually cared about her customers and the place she works for. By the way, those tables she took care of were not just hers but also another waitresses tables because that young lady was very busy trying to take care of some customers in the front.

Bad experience here. We had to repeat our order 3 times because the waiter had no idea what we're talking about. I think I knew more of the menu then she did. However, I'll just assume she is knew, but whoever trained her did a horrible job. Anyways, I got the Oreo sundae and it's suppose to come in a cup and all the other Denny's usually put Oreos in the bottom of the cup and top. I got my ice cream in a PLATE with barely any Oreos. After that, the waiter never came back to our table (not even once for the 30+ minutes we were their!) so I never got a chance to tell her. Last time I'll ever come to this Denny's.

The one star is for the server. Her name is Leah, very sweet girl. However, most of the Mexican servers did nothing but gossip instead of providing service. To whom may be reading this and thinks I just made a racist remark, read on and keep in mind that I am Mexican. My parents ordered an entree and when they got it their hash browns were raw so we sent them back. As the server was picking up the hash browns to bring to our table, which was right next to the kitchen, my mom heard one of the female cooks in the back say "gente tan delicada que te toca" meaning such picky people you get. Really? I wish my mom would have said something then and there and I would have absolutely talked to a manager. How about you do your job right and you wouldn't have to do things twice! Will never be back to that location again! Very unprofessional!!!

2.. 4... 6... 8... dollar menu is clutch! 2 dollar biscuits and gravy with hash browns are my favorite option... This location has pretty slow service but the restaurant is nice and clean. I think the quality has gone down over the years but I still enjoy the 24 hour appeal.

This place is absolutely ridiculous with its service and timing! We have been waiting for over an hr for our scrambled eggs and french toast. So we decided to just get up and leave! There were two other customers that decided to do the same thing! I will never return and I will be sure to let everyone know about this terrible service!

Do not go there! I used to work there 12 years ago before it was a franchise and man has this place gone down the drain! Recently visited there twice and very disappointed. One visit the customer service was terrible and the other visit I actually witnessed a server LICK HER HAND as she was pouring some dressing into a container. It was gross! She did it just behind the counter, out in the open!

Service was just fantastic. My group was comprised of about 20 guys, and we're quite a handful. Milette was just fantastic. She was on point with every order and wasn't rattled by us, in the least, in fact she was really interactive and personable. Great meal, will return for sure.

We all ended up sick from eating here!! Worst Dennys I've ever been to. I thought chain restaurants were standard across the board, this one is definitely not. Not clean. Dirty floor, chairs, tables, I was highly considering using my hands instead of their silverware. Horrible service. An hour wait for food. We had to get up and hunt down our waitress for water refills and straws. No knowledge of the menu. Food. we had to reorder some foods for being burnt, undercooked or not what we asked for. Everyone one at our table ended up sick a day later!! With soar throats and stomach pains.

First time here at this restaurant, and over all not very pleased. Our sever was Millette at this location , she was okay not very eager to well serve it seems. We are a family of four two children and two adults we received 4 napkins. Total different atmosphere than the one by my house, the children's drink were served in foam cups, my husband order a mango lemonade and when she mad it she put the syrup at the bottom and then syrup at the top then brought it to the table. For my drink I had coffee, now I have been drinking coffee since I was 7 so I know the smell of coffee when it is well a lil burned. The atmosphere is really slow, more like 18 19 no older than the age of 26 are to your servers. Unlike by my house you can see the manager probably the owner walk around and he would stop by the table and speak, well this guy just walked around and did not speak etc... well you get the point on that. Drinks were sat hard on the table, never came and asked if we needed any refills. My son and I ordered salads and I'm still trying to figure out how do you run out of salad dressing??? So because of this we had to order another side. Next time I will go back to Willowbrook.

Denny's is my father's favorite restaurant on the planet. Since he is my dad, I used to just tolerate Denny's throughout the years. Years of wrong orders, crappy service, and drunken patrons had left me somewhat jaded. Thank you, Bolingbrook Denny's, for finally changing my opinion! I, along with my father and husband, frequent this place every Sunday morning, around 6:00 am. Most of the drunks have gone home to pass out, and most of the church crowd hasn't even woken up yet, so it is pretty empty. As much as I miss Jose as a server, Tino, our regular server, is simply outstanding, and never misses a beat! Since I am just getting off work, I usually choose a burger or a dinner entree. Although there have been a few mishaps, (since the kitchen is probably in breakfast mode) all were rectified quickly. Their burgers are always solid, and I somewhat enjoy the menu changes and specials that come around every few months or so. (Except the removal of the cheeseburger flatbread will never be forgiven!) I even bravely ordered the sirloin steak dinner, and will admit, it tasted pretty decent! Perhaps I am turning into my father. That's OK with me.

AYFKM? Only medium well on my burger? What a disappointment! They served a great burger but cooked it to death! I told the waitress that I was going to Yelp them and she shrugged her shoulders....STAND UP AMERICANS!!!! Don't let someone else tell you what and how to eat!!@@

I have been to many Denny's, but this one is outstanding for 1 main reason: the service is excellent! At most Denny's I drain the coffee cup and have to wait for some time before I see it refilled. At this Denny's I never saw the bottom of the cup. Every time I've been there (so far 4 or 5 times) the waitstaff was at the table at every instant I needed something, and was always helpful and happy to serve. The food is the standard Denny's fare, but I really like that they now include calorie counts on EVERY ITEM! And they now have a selection of "fit" meals. I like the 'fit slam'. The only reason this is not a 5 is because the building is a bit rundown. It really needs a face-lift.

I visited this location one late night and wasn't satisfied. I returned with friends a couple of weeks later with friends hoping for a better experience. We sat down &ordered our food then out of the blue the female manager asked us to leave and called the police. When this woman asked why did I return I told her for a better experience. There was no need for the police but she felt she needed back up I guess to force us to leave for no reason. I contacted the stores head manager Jeff and he was very sorry to hear what had happened. He offered a return visit for me and a friend on him. Apologized greatly & he said that some sensitivity training needs to take place & corporate will be sending someone for that. I look forward to a better experience. I have enjoyed my history with Denny's, & I would hate for this to be the lasting impression for me.

To preface, I had a generally positive impression of this Denny's prior to its renovation. This review is in regards to my experience at this Denny's POST-renovation. I experienced very poor service, perhaps the worst I've ever experienced here during my 24 years living in Bolingbrook. The remodeled interior is nice, and I like the wooden floors, but other than that, the actual service of this location was unacceptable and completely unprecedented from what I've been used to prior to the remodeling. I am not the type to complain, but my experience tonight prompted me to. To start, after delivering our drinks, our waitress abandoned us for almost 15 minutes. For 15 minutes we waited to get our orders taken. Note that it was not busy, this was at around 8:00 PM before all the party people infiltrate the diner. We ended up asking another waitress to get the attention of our waitress, and even after that, a different waitress from our original one ended up taking our order. The food eventually arrived in a prompt fashion, but my order (country fried steak) was served with the wrong side, and without gravy. I was waiting awkwardly for at least 10 minutes to have the gravy delivered, and while waiting, waiters and waitresses were just congregating amongst each other, talking. No sense of urgency from anyone to correct my order. I understand that they had to prepare the gravy, but if you had time to talk amongst your co-workers, maybe you should make me, the customer, your higher priority and actually deliver me the essential ingredient to my dish before lounging amongst your coworkers. Once I have my food, you can leave me alone for the next 10 minutes for all I care! After receiving my gravy, the waitress did not check up on us more than once to see how everything was going. And when she finally did come by, we asked for water which we NEVER RECEIVED. I also put in an order for an apple pie when our food arrived, which took an estimated 30 minutes to bake, but after 30-40 minutes passed by, I waited at least another 25 minutes for the waitress to realize, "oh, you know, I should probably get that apple pie for that table that finished eating almost half an hour ago." To top it off, the slice of pie I ordered was a mushy mound of apple and crust. You can make the argument that I should've called on the waitress, and in some instances, I did. But it is ultimately the responsibility of the waiter to tend to the customer. Trying to get a refill on my water should not be a difficult job for me while I eat. And the best waiters do drink refills even without the customers asking. Throughout the night, part of me didn't want to say anything to the waitress just to see how attentive she was, and in doing so, it proved how inattentive she was. This complaint is nothing personal to the waitress herself, but to her duty as a waitress. Fulfill your responsibilities. Final note: the manager or hostess (not sure what she was exactly) did not help the work flow of this place at all. She would occasionally talk amongst the waiters, and in doing so, promoted a very lackadaisical atmosphere which I think rubbed off on the staff. All in all, I had a very unpleasant experience at a Denny's location that I normally associate with home. Sad.

Typical ready quick service food. Nothing spectacular, just good hours being that they never close. On this particular visit I had my usual buffalo chicken sandwich( that they keep renaming, but it's still the same sandwich, just on ciabatta bread now). It was nothing to ride home about and it never will be. It's just convenient. They need work on seating- they kind of just stare at you when you walk in the door lol. Now they royally screwed up my boys order. He ordered his steak well done and it was pink, put garlic and butter on his bread after he requested not to have it! He was also given a butter knife to cut a steak. I think they were understaffed maybe. This is how they usually are during busy times though. #that is all

I am very jaded and bitter toward this chain in general. I have had too many bad experiences at Denny's in the past. Every time I visit one now, I expect the worst. We all headed here before a little road trip to grab some breakfast. When I saw the place was crowded, my expectations dropped dramatically from the low level that they already were. Needless to say, I was rather surprised. Our server did a damn good job taking care of us despite the crowd. we received our food in a timely manner and it was typical Denny's quality but it did the trick and made my belly happy! I am thinking that my expectations were raised a bit after this visit!

I'd give this hole less than one star if I could. I've been coming to this location on and off for the past 15 years and within the past few years it has gotten progressively worse, especially since the remodel. They must have hired an all new lazy, rude, and obnoxious staff to go with their new look. I went there with my boyfriend today and when we got there, it took the hostess five minutes to even acknowledge our presence. She then puts my name on a list to be seated even though there were 2 open tables. After another five minutes we were sat. Another 20 minutes goes by before our server finally came to our table to take drink orders. By that time, my boyfriend and I already knew what we wanted to eat so I told her that we would be ordering our food and drinks now. She responded that she couldn't do that and walked off. After 5 more minutes I glanced over and noticed her socializing with another server instead of doing her job so we got up and left and I mentioned to the hostess on the way out that they should hire servers that will actually wait tables. I will NEVER go to this location again and I will be contacting Denny's corporate office about this deplorable example of a restaurant.

It's Denny's. it's probably late, you've probably been drinking. The food tastes awesome. It's average fare, and the place is pretty clean, but you won't realize that until you come back tomorrow to look for your keys or your phone that you lost.
