Since this place had an outlet they were willing to let us use, we bought some shaved ice. The consistency was similar to a snow cone rather than shaved ice, but the flavors were good. There wasn't a wait, which was fantastic and hey, still can't go wrong with any kinda iced-based product while in Hawaii, right?

Angel's Halo with macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom and shredded coconut on top. To die for! Awesome.

$3.50 for soft serve that was worse than McDonalds... Very expensive place for low quality product, a $6.00 banana shake doesn't even have bananas in it (it features banana soft serve). They are absolutely obsessed with putting "powder" flavoring in everything instead of the real thing. They even have the gull to charge $10.00 for a banana split. Yikes.

Friendly, good service + yummy shaved ice = I'm a fan! I have been here a few times. I never have a reason to complain, so it gets a gold star. Plus, their small shaved ice is HUGE! Give it a try if you're in Laie!

Angels is the place I go for shave ice and ice cream when I am in Laie. I am usually over here camping at Malekahana state park and come to Angels for a quick refreshing treat. Staff - The people are always friendly and service is quick. Cleanliness - Neat as a pin plus their are a few indoor tables you can sit at if you don't want to brave the heat and humidity outside. Shave Ice - Fine and not to tightly packed. Syrup - Decent. True to flavor but a tad bit too sweet for my taste. Size - Really big. X-tras - Haven't tried them here. Ice cream - The portion size is pretty decent. Its Dryers brand ice cream, which is a brand that I like. Try a cone and see if you like it too.

Angel's reminds me of the days I use to skip class to come buy a smoothie! Even tho the prices are a bit high, it's Hawai'i... so spurlge a little on some of the best smoothies and ice cream on the North Side of Oahu. :)

The large shake is more than enough for two. Good quality ice cream out in the country. However, not a fan of the acai bowl; it's tiny and topped with soft serve. A couple scoops of acai sorbet, pretty good amount of granola in relation to acai, drowned in honey, topped with some frozen blueberries. About the size of an ashtray. Initially I had thought the acai was being scooped into a lid to be taken elsewhere and blended, but it was served in the lid and not blended. Definitely not what I was expecting/looking forward to. Best to stick with the ice cream.

Loved the shaved ice, I was blown away that the kids shaved ice was that huge.... I was there pretty much every other day on my whole vacation. I would have had it everyday if I didnt have to worry about my weight. =) . Also loved that fact there arre seats outside of the place to sit and enjoy your shaved ice

My friends wanted shave ice from Matsumoto's but after accepting an invite to a house party directly opposite of Haleiwa, we ended up @ Angels on a recommendation. My friends loved their shave ice which was topped with little pillows of multi-colored mochi, which reminded me of mini marshmallows. I'm not a shave ice enthusiast & got 2 scoops of dryers ice cream for $5. Overpriced? Yes. Worth the bonding time w/my besties? Absolutely ; )

I live nearby and have pretty much grown up with angels ice cream smoothies and ice cream! The scoops of ice cream is quite small. and as time goes by the prices keep getting higher and higher while the quality of smoothies keep going down. Nowadays you pay about 5.75 for a one size smoothie. hmmm?

Haven't had a chance to try all the other popular shave ice places on the island yet but gave this place a shot when I was in the area and I really enjoyed it. I got my shave ice with ice cream in the bottom and condensed milk on top and was fighting my boyfriend for the spoon! Give it a try if you are in the neighborhood!
