I recently went there for some food. The people were nice, but very difficult to understand their broken english, but I gotta say they do way better in English then I do in Chinese :) So the food was decent, but with the miscommunication I ended up getting more than I really wanted and didn't find out until the bill. So it turned out to be a little pricey.

This place has been here for YEARS! Amazing. I was sick recently, and we picked up soup to go. It was great! Lots of parking...located close to Subway in the Ko'olau Shopping Center across from Valley of the Temples.

Their minute chicken cake noodle is one of the best on island. It is the most expensive item on the menu $10.50. They use ung choi which is more expensive than choi sum, and their sauce is not glue-like consistency unlike most local Chinese restaurants. They serve several types of milk tea. Thai tea has rich flavor, pearls a bit chewy, but only $3.50 for a 24 oz serving!

Went at around 4pm on a Sunday afternoon to try this place for the first time and let's jus say the rice was the best thing I ate.. I ordered roast pork which had a burnt taste and not crispy at all. And I also got lemon chicken plate which was not fresh at all, it looked like it been siting their for a while n barley warm and it had too much of a doughy texture like it had been dipped in too much flour and as for the sauce it was a sour tangy taste that I did not like one bit. I see other people have had way better experiences but as for me I'll never go back.

After a disappointing meal at the Seafood Village in Waikiki, I was finally able to satisfy my cravings for roast pork (not charsiu / bbq pork) at Temple Valley's Chinese Restaurant. (No, we didn't drive all they way to Kaneohe looking for roast pork; we actually had just finished touring the Valley of the Temples and came to the shopping strip across the highway to rest and recharge.) The duck and pork hanging in the storefront display drew us in, and while there was a cafeteria spread available, we knew we were here only for a portable meal. I was quite pleased that the pork remained crispy and tasty even after a few bus hops. My man was pleased with the fried rice we ordered with it, so overall we had a positive takeout experience with Temple Valley Chinese.

Char siu! Bless you! Char siu, God bless you!!! Ma & Pop local Chinese restaurant, with good authentic chinese food. The Char sui and Roast pork is amazing, especially in their Fried rice. My favorite is the Salt and Pepper Shrimp with the heads on. If I have a last minute party to go, I'll pick up a few lbs of this dish , and it's always a hit! The ladies are always nice, and they sell a huge bag of ice for your cooler cheaper than Times Market. We always go there for ice to support their business. It is tucked away in the corner of Koolau Shopping Center by The Subway and Times Coffee shop in Ahuimanu and ample free parking. If you go to the movies there, stop in for an early dinner, or take out after the show, you won't be disappointed.

I came here at 1pm an ordered a 3-choice. I always love chow-fun but theirs looked a little old so I selected half fried rice and half noodles. I ordered sweet sour pork, lup-cheong green beans, and minute chicken. I could barely eat any of it, all of the food was warm at best, the sweet sour pork looked as if the sauce was water, everything was either soggy or dry. The only highlight was that the rice cake was edible, other than that I will never come back again, I hope they make some changes to improve the health and quality of the food.

I love this place! Usually when my family is too lazy to cook or one of us is feeling sick we pick up wor won tun fun/mein from this restaurant. The family that owns the shop is really nice and if you come in enough they'll remember you. My mom loves the wor won tun fun and I love their eggplant. It's also nice because after 7pm they sell plates for $5 and you can pick from whatever they have left.

2 words Roast Pork and Charsiu. Well I guess that is actually 3 words. This place is known throughout this side for the best Roast Pork and Charsiu. Call ahead or go earlier since they sometimes run out fast. You can purchase it by the pound or plates with starches.

Best roast pork outside of Chinatown! Pretty much that's all I come here for. Char siu is good and so is the char siu turkey tails!

I saw the good reviews and my husband, his sister and myself decided to check this place out after spending the day kayaking around Mokoli'i Island. I saw the one dollar sign and thought we'd get some yummy chinese food. When we got inside my husband took one look at everything sitting in on display in trays behind a glass window and decided he wasnt going to get anything. I was just so hungry, I thought anything would taste good and it looked ok. I got the lo mein- it says on menu (dry), well they werent kidding it was disgustingly dry and hard and flavorless and gross. The woman asked me what I wanted on the side and I said just some white rice. She put 2 scoops on the plate alongside a scoop of the lo main and then proceeded to charge me the entree portion price (as if I got 2 real sides) for what was really a small side portion of some dry lo-mein and 2 scoops of white rice! I think they thought they could get away with it because we are haole and had never been there before. Well they got away with it alright. I didn't dare complain or say a word. We will never be back. Both my sister in law and myself threw away almost everything we got because it was so bad.

This restaurant served some good food, but was nothing exceptional. You can either choose to order something from the menu and have them cook it for you, or you can choose to get a lunch plate. The lunch plate combines your choice of noodles or rice and 1-5 entrees of your choice. The prices are very good, especially for Hawaii. The food options I chose were good, but some of the other options looked like they had been sitting in the same pan for hours without even being stirred. Overall, a good place to stop and get a quick bite to eat.

What I love about this tiny Chinese eatery is their succulent roast pork and char siu. Although they do offer other dishes, these 2 items are what brings me back. I would even venture to say that it is some of the best on the island.

Good, quality Chinese food. I always take out here, so I don't know what the service is like. But the take out is very good and the price is very reasonable. They have basic dim sum and a good choice of pre-made take out. You can also order from their regular menu for take out.

This place has some really good food! Haven't tried everything, but i always get the oyster sauce chicken cake noodle and it's pretty much as good as it gets, they also have super good roasted chicken with an awesome sauce and the char siu kills!!! My mom always gets a saimin, and that is also very very good, just make sure you get the hot mustard with it. oh yeah last time i went they had a huge lcd tv and were showing a basketball game....

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
