Bartender/ manager Tina is amazing! She is the reason why we will keep coming back. Very friendly and smiley!

Worst wings ever, barely any sauce. I felt like I needed to wash my hands after touching the menu. Unless you are a local looking to spend all you cash getting plastered nightly at the bar, find someplace else.

Definitely a locals bar. If you're a local and a regular then this place is probably great. If you're visiting not so much. This is my second time here as my brother lives near by so I stop by on my way to the airport and the bar staff is just not friendly unless you watch them serve their regulars; then they are super friendly. I was hoping I found a cool dive bar for my brother and I to hang out when I visit my brother but I will keep looking.

Smell that? That's two young parents smelling their first taste of freedom of being childless on a Friday night!!! My dad offered to pick up Kent so we thought about going to the bar across the street (walk there, no one must suffer in being the DD). Got in and it's crowded but two open tables in the back. We were a bit intimidated because there were so many people standing around and talking really loudly. You have to give it to Brandy's for their soundproof walls because you have no idea how noisy it is in there unless you're in there. Anyway we sit down and aren't acknowledged for at least five minutes (I wasn't sure if it was because we weren't regulars). However when we finally got help, our waitress/lone bartender was really nice and friendly. We got a jalepeno burger and a bacon cheeseburger. Both were delicious and you can choose garlic fries, sweet potato fries, regular fries, or onion rings. We chose the garlic fries and onion rings. They were good too and the fries were nice and garlicky! Despite only having one worker, she was able to work around the bar and come check in on us. The food and beer was reasonably priced. Perhaps I'm an old lady/soul but I can't imagine hanging out for long periods of time here. It's so loud! Everyone was shouting at each other just to "talk." At one point, someone did karaoke ($1/song) and it was even louder! Besides karaoke, there is a pool table (not sure if there's a cost). I don't know if there's a better time to come here but don't say I didn't warn you to bring your earplugs. This could explain why our neighbor/brandy regular says "hey" so loudly when he talks to us.

We had one of those hot deals and went i for the soul purpose of eating nachos with our friends for our nacho blog. Expecting 8 people, we ordered one of each of the meat nachos (chicken, kalua pork and steak) that were offered on the menu. Only 4 of us showed up and when the 3 huge mountains of nachos arrived we knew we were in trouble. Some of the largest I have seen on the island, covered in cheese and glorious toppings. Try as we might, we barely made a dent so we invited strangers from the bar to help us in our mission. Even with 5 extra people, we still couldn't finish them. Our bartender Janice was super helpful and sweet. She made our drinks quickly and even brought them out to our table when we ordered them from the bar. Brandys makes me want to live in Aiea so I can hang out there for pau hana and eat nachos after work. They have a special on Tuesdays that all the regulars were talking about with tacos and enchiladas which I will make a point to go back for.

My friends and I came in kinda late night after a trying to go bowling was a bust! I had never noticed this bar before as when I'm in the shopping plaza I normally am going to Ice Palace. Since someone had suggested it I said, ah, why not? Plus I wanted to continue to hang out with my friend who isn't on island too much. It was quite empty and very quiet; it was also a great place to just have a few drinks and chit chat. Since we got there after the kitchen was closed, they let us do a drive through at jack-in-the-box and bring it back into the bar so we could enjoy our beverages. One of the guys put his name on the board to play pool and ended up playing a couple games with the other patrons there. I think they worked there...but I don't know. :) Service was great and this was such a chill place. It may come off as a "hole in the wall" kinda bar but it was still fun. I hope that I can visit again during a "prime time" to get a better feel of this bar...But I know I will be back; just not sure when!

My husband will not be happy with this review. If it was up to him, this would be 5 stars. However, this is my review, not his. Bar and Grill has to be the most vague term ever invented in restaurant terms. Bar & Grill can either have a full menu or just nachos. I cannot fault Brandy's for this. This is why I try to stay away from Bar & Grill's since they are so widespread. However, we had an entertainment coupon and were in the area, which is right by the Ice Palace. You will have zero problem finding parking. If you are reviewing only the bar area, this dive is really fantastic. The bartender was super friendly and willing to help out all of her patrons. There was a man in a wheelchair she was pushing around as he needed help coming in and out of the bar. They have so many TV's available with DirecTV to watch whatever game you are looking for. They do not charge cover for UFC bouts, which is fantastic! However, she recommended coming in around 2 pm if you want a seat. However, I was not impressed with the food. My husband had a buffallo chicken sandwich which was actually pretty comfort food good. I ordered poke and sweet potato fries. The poke tasted too much like onion. Maybe it didn't help that it was covered in only onion. The sweet potato fries were so soggy that they all stuck together. I'm not sure if they were old or if they baked them instead of frying them, but they definitely ruined my appetite. Brandy's bar... great... Brandy's grill... eh.

Nice little hole in the wall bar. The first time, my husband and I met up with some friends that were here for rimpac, and we're pleasantly surprised by the big pitcher of beer with a spout thing for $17. Went back again with some friends for a snack another day and had wings (really good!) And onion rings (AMAZING!) I like the music player on the wall, and that it's an inexpensive, easy night out near Pearl Harbor.

Came by here on a Sunday morning after doing the Race for the Cure. Our crowd was a bit sweaty and probably stinky from our run we had just completed a short time before. This place is definitely what one would consider a dive bar, but I mean this in the best of ways. This is the only time I have been here, but I would definitely come back. Whether it be for football Sunday again or for a drink in the evening. Our group ordered some food which came out and was tasty (this is me repeating what I was told, I didn't have any.... I'm vegan and they ordered wings). We went and ordered more food and about 10 minutes later the bartender came out and informed us the cook was having a rough day and would be going home, therefore we wouldn't be getting our food. He was super cool about it - I had already paid and he offered to give me my money back or just use it toward the beer. So went with the beer choice. He also informed us we could bring food in. So being the good wife I am - I ran across to Jack in the box and got some food for everyone. The bartender had also ordered pizza for everyone (free - he picked up the cost). All around, I found this to be great service despite what was a not so awesome situation for him. The only thing I was left wondering..... What kind of bad day justifies going home and shutting down the kitchen for the day? But all in all - like the atmosphere, liked the service, bartender was friendly and made the best out of the kitchen closure. I'd come back!

This place is pretty mixed. When there is a UFC fight or major game, it's packed. Most of the time, there's plenty of room. When the place is packed, having 3+ 'security guards' playing pool or sitting at a table while 3 out of 4 bartenders are at tables hanging out takes up what little room there is. With food, I have no idea what's going on. Get a sandwich to eat there, and it's huge and tasty. Get it to go, it's less than half the size and not that great. For some reason, getting food to go has made me sick more than once. I've drinks where I don't think the glass was too clean the first time, had a odd taste that wasn't there on a refill. Can't say much about price, other than some people charge more than others for drinks. Bottom line, eat in- do not get food to go, and pre game before going with a plan on a post game somewhere. Good place to watch sports on a big tv, but be prepared to stand.

Food was ok but to be fair I only got fish and chips. I have heard the wings are great but I wasn't in the mood for wings. What made this place worth 4 stars was the bartender. Super attentive and very helpful. A nice place to go if your in the area. I went during lunch so I assume it's busier at night but lunch was great.

The food served here seems average in my honest opinion. There is nothing here that really got my tastebuds making love, but its a bar and grill so i honestly dont have very high expections for food usally served here. Beer is cheap and food is eadible wasnt cooked to perfection but its a sports bar, not too many are concered with the quality of the food here. There is a nice pool take and there are many tv's to keep you entertained. Many other reviews of the buisness seemed "over hyped" as when i took a trip here i came in somewhat dissapointment.

Went with a little group to this place for some karaoke and to play pool on a Saturday night. I'm not going to lie I was a little hesitant to walk in cuz some of the people standing around outside kept looking at us like "what the carp are they doing here" but once we got walked in it started to feel more comfortable. The bartender made some good drinks and was there every time the cup was empty even though we didn't sit at the bar, she was great! It was fun listening to people sing, the only crappy part was that they only have one pool table and you had to play a person to get the table otherwise they can stay on it as long as they want.

This I think, is your proverbial everyday neighborhood sportsbar/dive complete with dart boards, and a pool table. TVs all around hanging on the walls, tuned to differing sporting events, juke box playing, regulars on their spot on the bar, brands of alcohol neon lights aglow surround you. YUP!!! I think I'm in a sports bar, or maybe I'm in a dive... I dunno but I'm kinda liking it. The drinks are really reasonable ($4.00 imported beers) and the food's also well priced, and made to order. We got the chicken wings, the Texas Burger, and some sweet potato fries. Chicken Wings: Comes in 3 different sizes (the number of chicken pieces to an order) and prices, cooked in your choice of sauce coating, which by the way there is quite an array of sauces to choose from. Also if you wanna try 2 or 3 different sauces.... go for it! (no charge) We got the Brandy's original, the Garlic Parmesan, and the Buffalo. I particularly liked the original, though they were all good, I'll just say I'm leaning towards that one. I think I'll be needing more research. The Texas Burger: Hand made quarter pound beef burger, cooked to your desired doneness, Gorgonzola cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, a deep fried onion ring, BBQ sauce, on a nice soft roll, piled high and stabbed right from the top with a steak knife. Perfect for sharing! Comes with your choice of french fries, sweet potato fries, or beer battered onion rings. Nice big tasty sandwich, lots of flavor, great with my cold brew. Sweet Potato Fries: Hand cut sweet potato's, deep fried, salted piled in a basket, served with ketchup. Sweetness, salty, and crispy..... what more do we need in bar food? Return Trip: NO BOUT ADOUBT IT..........hic;-)

Hidden away at Stadium Mall. Not a bad place to catch a a quick drink or where I'm sure lots of people wait before UH football games. We had a couple of pau hana beers and bar food. Had some monstrous NACHOS with KALUA PIG. Also had CHICKEN GIZZARDS and CHICKEN BITES. You can get them (or the Wings) with a variety of sauces (either tossed in or on the side for dipping). We had the Spicy Garlic and Parmesan. Not bad.

Need a quick drink, food and shoot pool all at the same time? At Brandy's you'll manage to do all three and have a great time. My visit brought me here after a long day at work to enjoy a stiff vodka/soda. Thank goodness the bartender had a heavy pour! We didn't have an opportunity to try the food but would try if I was in the area. If you have a friend who's a sport fanatic, be sure to bring them because they will enjoy the the big screen tvs showing all types of sports. One warning: the interior is extremely dark with blinds covering the windows. This bar is located in the same building as Ice Palace near Salt Lake and the stadium in Aiea. So if you want a quick drink, stop by and cheer on your favorite sports team here!

Loooove this place. Staff is awesome and so is the food and drinks. I am A sucker for a dive bar, and this place is exactly what I want.. Most of the time. It can get pretty busy, so I tend to only go when it's slow. It's a lax place to grab food or a drink when it's slow. Good vibe and is basic, which is perfect for me. I go frequently, whether early on in the day, lunch break, or grabbing a drink or food after work..really whenever. So long as it's not busy, than I am good to go whenever. When the place is busy, it's packed like sardines in a tin can, which is the opposite of my vibe.

Came down here for happy hour and pleasantly surprised. So it's a little hole in the wall joint but then again, they're usually the best ones. Typical bar with pool tables, tvs, and darts. But it's the food that I come for (hence the four stars). The garlic sweet potato fries are the best and the nachos are enormous!! Drinks not to bad, prices reasonable. Service is okay. I'm thinking there is only one waitress running all over the place and somewhat slow but she was nice and friendly. Made excellent suggestions on what to eat and drink. Downside: only one stall for the ladies restroom. Located in the Stadium mall next to Ice Palace. Lots of parking.

I'm giving Brandy's 5-stars simply because it's a decent bar in Aiea, they've got karaoke and we had an awesome time with our friends on Saturday night! If you've ever tried to find a watering hole in Aiea after 10 pm, you KNOW that there are VERY FEW OPTIONS. We went to another bar (not going to say who it was or point fingers) and they wanted to charge us a $5 cover when it was completely empty. I replied "You should be paying us $5 to go in there!" We whipped out our Yelp app and made a group decision to go to Brandy's. Located next to Ice Palace, Brandy's is not fancy and in fact, EXTRA DIVEY. I'd say the decor can be described as urban wood cabin. It's uber casual, they don't charge cover and karaoke is $1. It wasn't busy when we walked in after midnight and we plopped our group down on a few empty tables. To our delight we were able to get a song in the karaoke line-up within 10 minutes. There is nothing worse than having to wait an hour to sing one song! Thank you Karaoke Gods!!! My little bro was able to sing his version fo "Shake You Down" in style! Overall, we were so happy with our time at Brandy's that we've officially decided to make this our West side karaoke hang out! #WestSide #Divey #Karaoke

It's divey people, but great if you're looking for a pretty cheap place with a laid back sports bar atmosphere and don't mind tired decor and smooshed down chair padding! That being said... at least the bathroom is clean! There are tons of flat screen tvs and a big one that's leaning precariously over the bar. It would be a great place to catch two, or even three games at one time! Karaoke is a dollar per song and people will interupt the music to sing a song. I like that! The music is very upbeat and a good mix and the food is reasonable and tasty. We tried the grilled steak that is served with onions and sauteed mushrooms and the sweet potato fries. I always get sweet potato fries wherever they are offered, and these are right up there with the best of them. Crispy and tasty. Only downer is that our server got our food order wrong and we got the spicy chicken breast instead of the steak at first. Upside, we got to try both and I thought it was pretty good...and yes the chix was spicy! They have AmberBock on tap and two others. I think bud light and heineken if I remember right. They also have a full bar. There is a pool table, several dart boards, and karaoke. That's pretty good for a dive. Brandy's is located next to Ice Palace, so don't follow the map in Yelp or you'll end up by Pearlridge!

Service was terrible, only one worker for the entire restaurant. She was also the bartender, on a Sunday afternoon (football). The nachos were large but not that great, the beer was reasonable but a very limited selection, bud light, miller light, and a dark beer. She repeatedly forgot my refill on beer, forgot the jalapeños I asked for, and the place is not just a dive bar, it looks dingy. It's dirty, the clientele is clearly just some regulars, and those are the only people who get any attention. Oh, not to mention I saw two cockroaches while eating!

waive to the owner watching everything at the bar via the tsuscebe cam in the middle of the bar... hanging from the roof. you might get a free round! :D 7'x3.5' very fast table. dead rail closest to the enter/exit door, the foot rail. juss gotta know what you're playing on. if you gotta chose between banking and cutting, cut it like it's hot! :D taco tuesdays have huge tacos..... I mean... huge! nice n friendly staff

High yelp photos and reviews got me excited to give this local bar some business. I was disappointed. Waited 45 minutes for poke, bean soup and service was sparse. Employees kept on going on smoke breaks outside the front enterance and I had to walk to the bar to get additional service and close the check. Though no one was overtly rude or disrespectful, I was expecting a higher level of hospitality. Funny thing is that all the locals in there seemed to be having a good time. Yelp inflated my expectations of this place. It turned out to be just a local dive bar. So now I'm pessimistic of yelp reviews after this experience.

I didn't really care much for this place. It was convenient because it was close to my working place. Don't get me wrong the service was great but the toilets weren't working. There were obnoxiously loud people there who weren't drunk. I'm not much for those kinds of things but I do understand that I was at a bar so what can I expect. Parking: Depending on what time it is, it can vary between finding parking and finding no parking.

Above Average Bar Food and reasonably priced Drinks. Service was prompt and overall the 3 of us had a nice time. Brandy's is undergoing a remodel so expect some commotion when your there.

Like I've said it before, I'll say it again...*insert movie quote* (Man, I love being a turtle). I'm easy to please when it comes to kicking back and having a few cold ones. Good food, good drinks at a good prices. Laid back atmosphere, good company and service I don't have to track down to keep my drink filled. Brandy's for me is just that. Go-To-Plus-1 Sly and I always (as you may already know) love to drink & eat, so we're always looking for new places to check out after a long day of work. So when it came to drinking she suggested this spot cause it was close to our job, and it's now become a part of our HH rotation. We've worked at the Stadium Mall for almost a year and never knew this place existed. The windows are blocked out with fliers and so are the doors. They are located a few shops away from the entrance to Ice Palace. The bar is dark; but not to the point you can't see the menu. You know a place has a local feel when you enter when all you see are tables full of neon shirts & green bottles. (construction workers). The noise level nice, I can hear Sly as well as the bar music without anything her yelling and me feeling like I'm in a some club. We've tried: Deep Fried Mushrooms which come with 3 types of dipping sauce. Ranch, wasabi Mayo, and what looks like their own special mix. It's a mound of mushroom and deep fried yumminess. You gotta love options! With 3 choices of dipping sauce how could you NOT like at least one. The Frenchie's, which is basically a french dip sandwich with au jus sauce. Their au jus sauce isn't the usual run of the mill soupy consistency I'm use to, it's a tab bit thicker, which allows the bread to absorb but not fall apart. Fantastic. Quesidilla: Simple. Easy. Sour Cream. Salsa. Guac. yummy! We usually sit at the bar tables; located around pool table, following the bar toward the back. We've always been greeted, asked for what we'd like to drink, and given the menu with in a few minutes of seating. We've been there a handful of times, and only once was the service a bit "off". This is due to the fact Thursday is Biker Night. We've come to know not to go on biker night, it's packed and not really our cup of tea...(scratch that, it's not our "shot of jack". hee hee)

I guess the is a non-review. We came from Kapolei for some Ono bar food. Cause I actually love Brandys food. Sweet bartender informed us their oh so dependable cook didn't show up. Wow, isn't there a high unemployment rate. So we left and got a plate lunch. And no cocktail for me. Waah !

Let me start out by saying that this review was almost doomed from the moment I stepped through the door. A few friends and I (one who is also a Yelper) came here after the Race for the Cure. Our men wanted to watch a little football and grab some beers while us women were just hungry. Everyone else seemed to be settled in with their drinks when I got to the table. It wasn't apparent that there was table service so I walked up to the bar to just order my water there. I timed it. It took 8 minutes before anyone came up to acknowledge my presence let alone take my order. All I wanted was water. The bartender did apologize but i couldn't quite grasp if it was sincere or not. The rest of the table had ordered their appetizers of wings, wings, and more wings while my friend and I just wanted some fries. A few minutes after we ordered our food, the same bartender came to our table and told us we couldn't order any food because their cook was "having a bad day" and they were "sending him home". Um...okay? This was around 10am and he told us the next cook wouldn't be in until 1pm. Wow. What did we do? We went right across the parking lot to good ol' Jack in the Box for some fries. The only reason this place gets two stars and not one is because the bartender ordered pizza and allowed the patrons to eat for free. But we were almost out the door when the pizza finally came so we did not partake in the pizza festivities. Would I come back? Probably not by choice.

I must have driven by this place a hundred times on my weekly trip to Target. This time, we decided to give it a shot. We weren't disappointed. The decor is typical sports bar, which I LOVE! Dart boards and a pool table with several televisions tuned to sports. My group opted for the onion rings, Jalapeno Burger, fish and chips and a pastrami sandwich. . . the food was AWESOME. Garlic fries were loaded with garlic, fresh and hot. The burger was absolutely HUGE. There's no way you can pick it up. I had to cut it up an eat it with a fork. the onion rings were fresh, not frozen, and fried to crispy perfection. Fish and chips were very good - fresh fish was used and battered in a heavy crispy batter. . . . If its pub food you are craving, this is the place. Highly recommend.

Return Trip: NO BOUT ADOUBT IT..........hic;-)

pretty solid little hideaway near Ice Palace. food is good, beer is well-priced, and there's pool & darts. service can be a bit slow as there's usually only 1 bartender/server on duty, but it's a mellow place to hang out with friends, grab brews and shoot the breeze. get the garlic fries!!!

  • Randy L.

It's all about managing expectations when you come to a place like Brandy's. If all your looking for is solid food, sports on the tv, and a mellow place to hang out, then your golden. Service is slow, ambience is dark and lazy, bathrooms are upstairs, blah blah blah. Have a wing and enjoy yourself!

Living in Aiea my whole life, I must have passed and seen Brandy's a hundred of times on my way to Ice Palace, Jack's or TBell, but I never thought twice about coming in here for drink or food. Thanks to all the excellent and honest reviews by the Yelp Ohana, my wife and I decided to give this place a try on our way home from work. For some reason I was craving for Chicken Wings, but since traffic was so bad headed into town and beyond, we decided to stay close to home...and all I could think about was the Brandy's Wings... As previous reviews state, the decor is dark and sports bar like, so don't be deterred when you open the door. The clientele is primarily "local" blue collar workers and girlfriends gathering for a drink and pupu's, so come as you are...the menu is pretty extensive with a wide assortment of pupu's, sandwiches, burgers and yes, chicken wings. My wife and I ordered Soybeans, Onion Rings and yes Chicken Wings. The Edamame Soybeans was perfectly steamed, the Onion Rings was real onions sliced and battered. For the Chicken Wings, my hardest decsion was choosing a flavor or flavors from the wide assortment of flavors...I setteled on the "Korean" flavor. Chicken was of the frozen variety, but nonetheless the sauce was very tasty and flavorful. All in all, my wife and I very pleased with our visit here and will probably visit here again. The service was fast and friendly...and the beers ice cold...

Like coming to this place mainly because of their chicken wings and garlic fries. Their garlic fries are to die for... So garlicky! Another plus about this place is that they show the UFC fights! Woohoo! If you're coming here to watch the fights be prepared for it to get really crowded! The only disadvantage to this place is that you have to walk up the long stairwell to get to the restroom! Don't plan on getting wasted if you know you won't be able to make it to the benjo! I'm surprised no one got hurt yet walking to or from the restroom! Hahaha! Overall... Great place for a good time!

Burgers and wings! My husband order the Beast burger topped with pastrami and Swiss cheese. You need to unhinge your jaw to eat this sucka! The side order garlic fries were crispy and tasty. I got an order of Brandy's Original and Garlic Parmesan chicken wings and they were the bomb especially the Garlic Parmesan. We got there before "pau hana" hour so the place was pretty much empty except for the four guys sitting at the bar. Our server was super nice. Totally enjoyed the food and watching the basketball games on TV. I would come here again!

Been to Brandy's twice. Service was very slow. Trying to get the waitress to order me a beer was impossible. I tried to order food but no one would service us. Left after two beers. I would not recommend this place it's a dump and service is below average.

Went for the first time... Awesome! It's your everyday hole in the wall kind of bar, local, friendly crowd. We went on a Tuesday, which is $2 Taco Tuesday. Wow for 2 bucks, great Taco! Get a chimichanga, too! Everyone said get the wings - now I know why, you can select up to 3 sauces per dozen, ours were Brandy's, Spicy, and... I forget the 3rd we got but wings rocked. One bartender/waitress, but we were well taken care of, she's great. Upstairs is darts and clean bathrooms (big big plus). All in all, if you live nearby its a great place for cheap bar food and drinks.

Okay, it's a sports bar, dark inside(like one of those local dive bars), pool table, big screen televisions.... been there before for a pau hana drink and didn't think much of it. I mean, it's a bar, a sports bar. However, my visit the other day changed my opinion 180 degrees. Nope! didn't have the chicken wings (by the way they have at least a dozen different sauces for the chicken wings). Ordered off the menu. I had their Brandy Burger which was flavorful; it's not just a patty, it's a seasoned patty and grilled to perfection. My friend had the club sandwich. He's a club sandwich specialist and he too gave the perfection sign. So- moral to my review: I should never judge a bar and grill by its cover. Don't knock it until I've tried it.... Will definitely go back there again only next time, I will try something else on the menu. Oh, the service was great also. Our gal coupled as the bartendress and waitress and never missed a beat

First things first: WINGS! WINGS! WINGS! Okay, now that is out of my system: I have not actually stayed to eat or drink at Brandy's, but have ordered the wings for take out at least five times now. We have tried a pretty good variety of them. The Brandy's Originals were nothing to call home about, but the Parmesan Garlic is what keeps us coming back. They are ridiculous! And the sweet potato fries always rounds out our order. Delicious. Everything is typically ready 20 minutes from the time you call. A couple of suggestions: Make sure they read back the order. Three out of the five times, there have been bizarre things wrong with the orders. Like three wings missing here, or two wings missing there. It helps to open up the box before you leave just to double check. The interior looks like a dive bar, and that is not a bad thing. I am looking forward to a chance to come and relax instead of the standard grab and go.

I've been here 4 times in the last year. Once for a UFC fight and another for the Pacquiao/Mosley fight and the place gets packed!! I live in town, and I drove all the way out (and dragged a few friends) to go to Brandy's!! It's an old bar tucked away next to the Ice Palace across from the Aloha Stadium. When you first walk in, you might think, oh boy, what did I get myself into. But trust me, the service, food and beer are top notch! You just need to get past the dark and old decor. Every time I've been there the waitresses have been very nice and helpful. Here's my faves - sweet potato fries (cooked to order, perfect!), chicken wings (they have a long list of sauces to choose from), Reuben Sandwich(oh so nice fresh cuts of Corned Beef), Pastrami Sandwich (Pastrami is nice and juicy), Mushrooms (simple but tasty). Once I did take out for a Reuben Sandwich and Pastrami Sandwich and the waitress asked me if I wanted water while I waited. I declined, but hey, that's a point in my book as it shows consideration for me.

Came here for a girlfriend's birthday last Sat night. It's located right next to the Ice Palace. The place was busy probably b/c of the football game at the stadium. TVs on the wall in different corners of the bar. It's a friendly local dive bar with a pool table. The menu had good selections, we all loved the chicken wings in particular (they were large wings and cooked very nicely). You can order 3 different sauces to coat the wings. My favorite was the Jack Daniel Glaze and the parmasean garlic. Haven't tried the rest yet but I will be back to try out the other different flavors. The nachos looked very appetizing too but after the wings I was too full to try anything else. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. A nice local hangout place. I'll be back when I happen to be in the area.

Went for dinner & beers while visiting Hawaii. Definitely the kind of small, divey, comfortable place in a strip mall by the Aloha Stadium, the kind of place that locals/regulars go to get out of the house. Just like the kind of place I would go to at home--can't put my finger on the bar it reminds me of. I should've brought someone with me to enjoy it more, it wasn't really busy enough for a chick sitting by herself to not look weird. Loud jukebox, pool table, darts upstairs that no one played. It seemed really loud for being moderately slow. Sad that they didn't carry any local beers on tap or bottled, but the price was decent despite what I'd heard about HI. The waitress was nice enough and pretty quick, she got a little busy and I ended up ordering drinks from the bar after food was gone. Oh, and the security/door guy was awesome, opened the door for me every time I went out to smoke! Ordered a philly with garlic sweet potato fries--yes, they do garlic, and sweet potato. It sounded good but didn't really deliver what i was hoping. Would have preferred more garlic, less sweet. The waitress came back to tell me they were out of french bread for the philly, would I like to change my order, but I stuck it out. The cook even came out personally and told me, "it just won't be the same, I don't want you to be disappointed!" I told them bread wasn't a big deal, so they brought me a philly on a sweet roll bun, it was actually not bad :) It was cute that he took so much responsibility and I'm glad they asked first, but it wasn't really a big deal to me. All in all, not a bad little place, next time I'll drag a few friends out with me to have more fun.

Its a sports bar! Nuff-said right? Nah, they've got pool tables, darts and a super friendly staff! Through reading my posts I'm sure you've figured out that I'm all about customer service... Staff is cool-beans!! Their food is flippin awesome!! you have to try their Jalapeño Burger!! Thick, juicy, sirloin burger covered in their secret house sauce, topped with cheese and served on a hot sesame seed bun! Not to mention their generous serving of fries!! When you come into Aiea, make it a point to swing by Brandy's and grab a bite to eat!

Drove 15 miles out here for the wings y'all are yelping about, but I have three kids under five and did not realize it wasn't a family place. It's a BAR. When I hear "Sports Bar" I think Beef OBradys, kids menu, high chairs, well lit, etc, but this place is for grown ups only. They said the kids were okay, but it's dark and loud with only a few tables, so we left. So as much as I would love to try the wings, it didn't happen :(

I have tried all the wings sauces they had. All are pretty decent but the Parmesan garlic sticks out as my favorite. Their sandwiches and burgers are alright. If you're in to mood for salty get their Parmesan garlic fries, french dip or pastrami sandwich. For some reason whenever I go there, they're usually out of certain food items ie, wings, chips for nachos, or kalua pork for nachos. Their chimichangas on taco Tuesdays are alright for a ground beef fried burrito for under ten dollars.

I use to think of this place as 5 stars hands down for a good couple of years but recent visits have changed my mind completely. Yes, the food is amazing and the service overall is outstanding but there is one bartender there who will not think twice on adding additional drinks/charges to your bill and then she will flip you major attitude when you approach her about it. This is the 2nd time it has happened and as much as I love the rest of the bartenders (Mel, Tina, & Jeremy), food, and atmosphere I will not be returning with my friends. This is no way to treat your regulars and it makes me wonder how many other people this one waitress has cheated other people out of as well. It is very poor management to report this and have it happen AGAIN.

  • Rory R.

Based on the reviews I read before getting there, I was let down. My first impression was "What the F did I walk in to?" The place is sunk into a strip mall without the greatest facade, and upon entering, you realize It's definitley a locals bar and they were cordial, but you got the vibe that main-landers would be more welcome else where. The beer was cheap and service acceptable, but the food left something to be desired. Yeah, it's a sports bar, but when you order nachos that arrive without two of the five toppings, it leaves you wondering what else goes on in the kitchen. They had a half dozen TVs and the obligatory pool table and dart boards, but unless you plan on getting to know the employees on a regular and first name basis, I'd go some where else.

This bar is located at a convenient location. The food was hot and well portioned. It was the NBA finals game 7 this evening, and place was understaffed. One person bartender and waited table for almost 1/2 the game. The drinks were nothing special. Ok experience overall....

First time we have been here. Recommended by a fellow Yelper, we decided to watch the UFC fights here. The biggest plus is that there is no cover charge and it is free! Anyways, we walk in and its already crowded. The waitress was nice enough to tell us there were a few more seats upstairs that were open. We immediately sat a a table for two in the corner, nope not a good seat. We could not see the televisions. We decided to move upstairs. Super good move. There was a nice bar table for two right by the bathrooms in a good position in seeing the television. We were set. Our waitress immediately helped us and we ordered a pitcher, Jalapeno burger with onion rings and the Brandy's club sandwich with their sweet potato fries. The food was delicious! Super surprising. We got to watch the fights with great food and cheap beer. The cost of all of it was still significantly cheaper than if we ordered the fights at home. The waitresses were always checking on if we had our drinks filled and if we were okay. The decor is old and pretty much sports bar-like but it is clean. My biggest requirement. I would totally watch fights here again. The service and location is great. I rather come here then fight the crowds and reserved tables in town or Waikiki.

I have been to Brandy's twice in my life. The first time was not memorable and I think I just stopped in for a drink. The second time I went here, which was recently, I only stopped in to waste time while I was getting my oil changed at Goodyear around the corner. When I walked into the place I was immediately confronted by a vile bleach/ammonia odor. It was overly strong, and I almost walked out, but I ended up staying. Well, I ordered the wings, and was pretty surprised by the numerous varieties in sauces that they offered. The bartender was very nice and attentive. Well, I must say, the wings that they serve at Brandy's are pretty good, and probably the best I have had in Hawaii. Just to give you some background, I am from Philly and am a huge wing fan. I have lived in HI for 6 years and have never been to a place on the island that impressed me with their wings. Maybe my expectations are low and that's why I was impressed, but I think I will go back to Brandy's again to try their wings.

Ok...so I'm officially a regular here and I also play on an APA pool league here so I'm writing this as...well whatever...I like this bar, reminds me of a place I used to bartend at back east. Chill crowd and lots of TV's to watch sports on. Drinks are strong, tasty and cheap, they always have drink specials, how good is that!!! Not to mention they have darts both upstairs and down as well as one pool table. They have recently expanded their kitchen as well as the menu, now offering lunch deli sandwiches, even pasta and the bartenders rock!! Stop in next time you cruise thru the Salt Lake area and visit Mel...and be sure to have a Hello Kitty along with your lunch, you won't regret it :)

I'd give this place 3.5 stars. I come here once a week or so after Hockey at the palace. It has Pool and Darts and i think they run a tourny once a week. they also have food and a buffet on monday night football and UH games. They show all the fights. Nice people there a mix of military and local contractor with the hockey people at night.

Waah !

pretty solid little hideaway near Ice Palace. food is good, beer is well-priced, and there's pool & darts. service can be a bit slow as there's usually only 1 bartender/server on duty, but it's a mellow place to hang out with friends, grab brews and shoot the breeze. get the garlic fries!!!

  • Megan R.

  • Beth I.
