Oh how I love Cheddars!! It was super busy but my coworker and I were able to sit at the bar and order! At first we weren't greeted as we sat down, as there were 2 workers there and I felt some type of way but I was super hungry. I decided to do the Dijon chicken with string beans and broccoli casserole as my two sides. Delicious! The flavor was soooo good and was amazing! Our waitress was super nice and I think she was trying to get us drunk before our flight lol! I ate half my meal to leave room for dessert and had the legendary monster cookie! I treated myself for the hard work I put in working out the last 2 weeks! Well deserved and was soooo good! Cheddars has yet to really disappoint and the prices are awesome!

This place has changed a little bit over the years since it opened. This place stays busy when it is open so get their early. I used to order the shepards pie every time, but now that it has been removed from the menu, I suppose that I should find a new favorite meal. The Monte Crisco taste awesome especially with the jam that they give you. Taste like a chinese donut with a sandwich shoved inside and all fried together into one little lustful ball of goodness! I also have a MAJOR addiction to the Crossiants!! TRUST me when i say that I could make a meal out of them by just ordering 3 orders lol. I ate here with my family as the last get together before I deployed. We actually met here for lunch and realized that we were short on time. We told the waitress what was going on and she actually got the kitchen staff to rush our food out. All eight of us got our food pretty dang quick and I appreciated that. It earned her about a $50 tip :) I wish I could remember her name though. This place is not to bad. I have been here a few times over the past few years and have never had a problem with service or the food.

Grabbed an amazingly priced lunch of a cup of backed potato soup and half of a monte cristo. We had a few cocktails as well which were also delicious. Place was PACKED at lunch time. I know it's a chain, but was pleasantly surprised.

3.5 stars. You can't get better value that this place. The bill for 6 adults and 1 child was under $100 for dinner. The portions are large and the food is actually decent. It's a glorified large diner. Family friendly and very large booths. Nice lively atmosphere as well. I had a steak dinner with 2 sides and I think it cost $15 at most.

Food was good, service super slow....2 hours and a half slow. And problems with getting orders correctly. ...=(

I eat at Cheddars in Pooler, GA, at least once monthly and have always found them consistent in their service and food quality. In addition to their good food, Cheddars is always generous in their portions to the point I usually have enough left over to take home for another meal. To top it all off, their prices are very reasonable and represent a very good culinary value. One of my favorite dishes is their Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It is filled with delicious hand battered chicken breasts, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, and a very tasty wing sauce, all wrapped neatly and tightly inside a deliciously prepared tortilla. YUM! The order is so large that I usually can eat only half, allowing me to take the other half home for dinner or a late night snack. Oh .... and don't even get me started on their onion rings .... WORLD CLASS! In summary, I highly recommend Cheddars in Pooler, GA, for a good lunch or dinner at a very reasonable price.

We got seated right away ordered drinks which we got without straws it tokk 10 more minutes for the straws to arrive which I had to remind the server. It took over an hour for the food to get to our table. We arrived at 4:45 and the meal came out around 5:50. We had to inquire 2x where our food was. Our server told us the kitchen was behind. We noticed people who came after us got served and left before us. The food was decent but I won't be returning.

Cheddars is usually very good but this time it was on the salty side. I got the lemon pepper white fish that was overly salted and the side salad was pitiful. Maybe its because I got something on the healthier menu was why it wasn't very hood because I know there chicken tenders and desserts are very good. So basically I need to stick with what I know

Stayed in hotel nearby and called in a takeout order. Davida took the order ..she was warm friendly and helpful...very rare for restaurants the size of Cheddar's. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious and warm when we got to eat it at the hotel. The croissants were great (wish we got more). Only bad thing was the plastic ware we got ...wasnt up to cutting steaks. Thx for a great meal away from home!

This was the third time we've given this place a chance over a period of about seven years. Nothing has changed. The food is decent and worth the money, but the service is so unbelievably slow. We sat around with our drinks not wanting to have any because the server didn't give us straws and disappeared. Turns out the straws were hidden inside the rolled up napkins. The other issue was the barrage of flies that wouldn't leave us alone. Hang some fly paper in the kitchen!

If your beloved Applebee's is too crowded or Olive Garden isn't running a never ending pile o pasta or your local gas station is out of weiners, then Cheddar's is the place for you! Crap food, crap service. Tonight we walked out early, telling the Office-Space-meets-Honey-Boo-Boo server to cancel our entrees so we could get out of there as quickly as possible. The highlights..... -Menus caked with food bits. Only permissible if you're in a Waffle House after midnight. On a weekend. Around St. Patrick's day. -The spinach dip was a congealed mass of flavorlessness served with stale tortilla chips. -Their signature drink, The Painkiller, was dusted with brown chunks (hubby my thought it may be tobacco) and served with a soggy brown pineapple for garnish. Tasted like a watered-down week-old Piña Colada.....with rotten fruit and the need to floss immediately thereafter. -My salad (which arrived 2 seconds after our app) had a grape tomato that I think may have been soaking in dishwater. You know how a good grape or cherry tomato kinda pops? This one disintegrated into a bitter mush. -Also....my fork was an abstract sculptural masterpiece. It was bent in ways that Neo himself could not achieve. This is not evidence of my nitpicky insanity.....it's a warning that a staff who would let such a warped piece of metal go into a cutlery set is the exact same kind of staff who will slide a rotten tomato or pineapple across the table to you. After all of this and a failed attempt to find our "server", I went to the hostess stand and asked for our entrees to be cancelled and our check to be tallied. This is the part that really sealed the deal, because every business can have an off night.....not one, not two, but four (server, her trainee, and two hostess) staff members knew we were having an experience so awful we had to bail (but that we were respectable enough to say we would pay for) and we were given a full check for food and drink that was still sitting on the table 75% full...... never seeing a manager. No we didn't ask to speak with one, but with a well-trained staff and/or a watchful eye we wouldn't have to. Instead, we paid, left a 25% tip since we didn't want the poor server trainee to get stiffed, and walked out. Pick up a Circle K tuna salad sandwich and pop in a VHS of The Matrix and you'll still have an infinitely better time than we had at Cheddar's.

The food is average. Lots of heavy sauces and fried foods. The food tastes ok but if you are the least bit health conscious you will find it hard to enjoy. We had a party of 10. Waitress had a hard time keeping up with our orders...several people's orders arrived incorrect. Side note...about half the people in my party loved the place. I just felt like it was too processed for my tastes. The decor is nice though!

  • Lashawn S.

The bartender is very rude here. Food came out cold but they did fix it the manager was very nice but that bartender needs to be fired. Only two stars because of the manager

Good food and inexpensive. We ordered the Ribeye and the Heat Chicken and Shrimp on the Healthier Choices. Both were delicious. I want to go back and try the other items on the menu.

Good food and great prices! Easy chain restaurant to get a quick meal. I have never had anything I hated. Usually go for the grown up grilled cheese. It's pretty epic! The real find about this place is the drinks! They serve awesome drinks that aren't over priced. That is very hard to find!

Great Dinning Experience just a Delightful place. Enjoy it every time. Customer service is top notch. Can be very busy at times but service is still very good. Highly Recommend

I know it's a chain, but I love this place. Fast service, great food, awesome prices, great beer selection. I always get the buffalo chicken wrap and it is a huge portion and very reasonably priced. Yes, there are often long lines, but sit in the bar if there are just a few of you.

I love Cheddars. Whenever my husband and I have date night and can't think of what either of us are craving, we go to Cheddars because we know we'll both leave happy. It's our "go-to." The honey butter croissant rolls are delicious. Their quesadilla appetizer is so so good and could be a meal on it's own. The Key West Chicken and Shrimp is filling and delicious. A little spicy, but really good. I often get the veggie plate (soup or salad with 4 sides) with chicken tortilla soup (I think that's the name?) And broccoli for my sides. The broccoli is so good! Lots of flavor. Probably my favorite entree is the buffalo chicken wrap. It's a huge portion and it's delicious. Best part about Cheddars: 2 people can eat there for less than $20 if you stick to water. Good food, good prices. Can't beat it! I only give it 4 stars because it is your typical chain restaurant and, if you don't have a Cheddars, you could live without it.

This place is forgettable. In the same way your neighborhood Applebees is. Price is reasonable. Service is acceptable. Food is a little above average.

  • Jessica C.

This is a great place if your looking for some cheap descent food. The prices are really low and the food is average... I like coming here for a beer or drink from the bar. You can get a large bud light for $2.50. The servers are usually friendly and the restaurant appears clean.

I haven't had good experiences at Cheddars but my husband and I just moved to Pooler and gave it a go... I ordered a skinny margarita. It took a minute, but I don't mind. The thing was it was warm and watery. Boo. I ordered the salmon with bourbon glaze with broccoli and loaded baked potato. The salmon rice and broccoli were great. However the baked potato was pretty stiff..and no butter...hmm whatever Our waitress was nice but nothing spectacular...it seems like a busy place so that is undrrstandable. Three stars is fair for the dining experience we had.

  • Jacqueline J.

I love Cheddars~ Chicken and Waffles hit the spot. Took a minute for the waiter to get to me but hey I understand people get busy. Have never been dissapointed at Cheddars~

  • Angela E.

The parking lot was full and the wait was 20 minutes, so I knew this place had to be pretty good. Instead of waiting, we sat at a table in the bar area immediately, which turned out great. The margaritas are amazing at an awesome price. I had the chicken pot pie and it was delicious! The waitress we had was so friendly and very attentive. I really liked this casual restaurant and wish there was one closer to me.

  • Kirsten J.

The only thing that is really good about this restaurant is the amount of food for the price. The quality of the food is not all that great but you do get a lot of food for your buck so that's always decent. I usually end up getting something that includes their chicken tenders. On my last visit I got the chicken alfredo and instead of the grilled chicken I got the fried chicken tenders. It was edible but it wasn't something that I truly enjoyed. My mom however, loves the place and always wants to go when we head in that direction. She enjoys the Sweet Heat Chicken and the salad that comes with it. She always has enough to take home for a second meal so she loves that. The drinks here are excellent though! They have their unique drinks and they are not too strong and not too weak. I've enjoyed some drink that they have that's like a wedding drink full of whipped cream and some other stuff I can't remember but it was very tasty. So if you're not looking to spend a lot of money and you're in the market for fairly decent food then visit Cheddar's and be sure to have a drink or two.

Not high end food, but for the price it is awesome food. Great place to eat for not too much money. Would definitely come back.

Nice experience at Cheddars. Courteous and attentive staff, decent food, large portions and fair pricing. Wouldn't hesitate to bring friends or family here any time.

Ok I understand that big parties can cause some issues but when you sit the big party in 5 different booths it is no longer a big party. We waited an hour to be seated. Then another hour and half to get our food. Now on the upside part of our group got their food before us and I think it was hot. Service for us was BAD. We also got COLD food.

    (1)
  • Laura R.

Food used to taste great now it is nasty. We complained to corporate, the manager called and tried to apologize, but on a followup trip the food was just as bad. Potatoes had black rotted roots, salad was dripping in dressing and came out soggy, tables were sticky from rags that hadn't been properly sanitized, and wait staff looked sloppy (shirts untucked, uniforms too tight to look professional, and covered in food). It has definitely gone downhill in value and service.

  • Sterling P.

Great service, very inexpensive. Fried food at its best. Chicken tenders, and shrimp with two sides $9.99, and an extra $2.99 for a very generous side salad. Two giant fish tacos, two sides $6.99. Val had two large mixed drinks for under $10.00. Bet we don't eat that cheap in Savannah tomorrow. Hope it will be as good in down town.

I wish there was lower than a 1 star rating. I have not been in this building in over 2 years. And the last time I brought my own water bottle and didn't order anything. It was a going away lunch for a coworker and I didn't have the heart to tell them what happened. My last actual visit where I ordered food happened like this. Mold in my menu. I told the waitress who then said "yeah a lot of them are that way". I ordered a burger because my order was usually wrong there and who can mess up a burger.... I was wrong. It tasted like oven cleaner. Think 409. I told the waiter (they switched servers in the middle of the visit) who then said since I ordered it well done that was just what I got. I asked for a manager. The manager (TJ, TC, something with initials instead of a real name) then said that he would not do anything about it because it was a special order ("how would you like that cooked? " "well done please".....special order......) and that if it tasted like chemicals it was because the grill probably was just cleaned. At that point a roach crawled across the table. I jumped up and then I pointed it out, he said he didn't see anything. I then told him this was the nastiest place I had ever been in and would never be back. He said OK and left. I told my friend I would wait for them in the car. I could not be in there any longer. I did not pay for my meal. I only took one bite that was then spit back onto the plate. I later found out that the friend I was with paid for it because she was scared they would call the police. neither of us actually ate. WORST PLACE EVER!!!! Oh, and to top it off, I worked in HR at a local business at the time. I had several employees come in to change their direct deposit because someone had stolen their debit card number. ALL of them said they had eaten at Cheddar's just before it happened. So, no. I will never eat there again. I DO NOT recommend anyone ever eat there.

Let me start by saying this was absolutely the worst dining experience I have ever had in 31 years. It started the moment we sat down, waited 10 minutes without receiving a menu or silverware. I had to grab a menu and 2 silverware packs from a table behind us. We are a table of 4. The waitress finally comes over after 15 or so minutes to take our drink orders. She returned about 5 minutes later to take the food order. 30 minutes into sitting down we receive 2 salads and a spinach dip appetizer. Still no drinks or silverware. One of those drinks was a water with lemon the other 3 sat behind the bar watering down. Finally we asked to see the manager. He can over and assured us he would take care of us. 50 minutes into sitting down we still have no food. Tables around us have ordered and are done eating. We call the manager over again. Finally after waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes we receive the food. It was the wrong order. We ended up walking out without eating. We went to bojangles and received excellent service at a quarter the price.

It's too bad that Cheddar's is going the same way that every other fast food chain in America is going: downgrading ingredients and downsizing servings. A recent visit revealed some radical changes in the menu and I probably won't be back ...

    (2)
  • Rodrigo P.

Service was excellent, drinks are amazing, the food was delicious and the portion was more than enough to fill me up. This is definitely a better alternative to a chili's or Friday's.

Great meal before I flew back to Boston from Savannah. Our server Jarrodd(?) was one of the best servers I have ever had. If just for him I would give five stars. Food - my Salmon was well cooked and seasoned with good sides. My sister's tenders and shrimp were also great. Worth a stop - good food and good price!

    (4)
  • Miranda C.

Our food was cold. We had to send our food back and it took forever for our food to come out again. Our waitress was very inattentive. When the food finally came out for the second time it was hot and delicious. All in all the food was good but the service was bad. So the two stars is mainly for the service and not for the finally food product.

Good food and price. Go early if you can as it gets crowded quickly. Tip for parents of small children and infants - get seated close to fans.

I have been here numerous times with my wife and this place is great. I have never had a problem with anything so far. Is usually pretty packed at night times but is def worth the wait.

Cheddars is a good place to go with a large group. They have a really diverse menu with something for everyone to like. They also have great drinks and a relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend the grown up grilled cheese or shepherds pie. I wasnt a big fan of the new orleans pasta.

  • Kirk J.

This is my 3rd time dining at Cheddars and by far the worst. The steak and broccoli were over cooked. Maybe an off night for the kitchen. Service was acceptable. I enjoy the aquarium behind the bar, and other patrons seem happy.

While in Savannah we decided to check out Cheddar's over in Pooler. My nephews took my sister and I to dinner there in Houston and we enjoyed it so much I could not wait to try this one. One thing we noticed is this place stays packed. The wait was about 15 minutes which wasn't bad considering how many people were waiting. Once seated we had a server named Amanda. She was really good so next time I go I want to be seated in her area. What I love about this place is they have tons of different things on the menu and the prices are amazing for what you get and the food is good. I ordered their Honey Croissants. They are the best appetizer while waiting on the food. Melt in your mouth goodness. I also ordered a top shelf margarita and the Bourbon glazed Salmon with a loaded baked potato and Broccoli. Everything so good for about $22 bucks. I brought along my family visiting from New York and they loved it. Wish they had one in Atlanta.

The bar is so dirty... not sure I would let either unfriendly bartenders touch anything I eat or drink. They gave me my card back after paying and it was soaked...along with the receipt. .. McDonalds is much cleaner.

Get the top shelf Margarita, it's worth the extra dollar.

Cheddars is always a great place to eat for they have a wide variety of food choices. So far my favorite dish is the Buffalo Chicken Wrappers. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely a great place for the family.

After having to stay in Savannah for an extra night, we ended up staying near the airport. Cheddar's was a 2 minutes drive away. We were enticed by their menu online so we decided to drive over for dinner. The restaurant has a darker casual atmosphere. The staff were dressed up however. We were seated immediately in a HUGE booth and our waiter came over within 2 minutes. The menu is large with a lot of selection. We ordered a peach lemonade and a strawberry lemonade, both were very yummy. For dinner, we both ordered appetizers and they were MORE than enough for two people with leftovers. We ordered the homemade Onion Rings... one word. DELICIOUS!! The serving was absolutely huge and it was only $3.99. The rings came with two dipping sauces,,, one was a ranch type dressing but I'm not too sure what the other was, but it was equally good. We also ordered the Ultimate Nachos with fajita chicken... which were also absolutely delicious and also priced at about $8.00. I don't know if it was just a bad day for us, but we couldn't eat everything.. we left with a full take out box. The portions are more than generous. Our server was very prompt with refills and making sure everything was up to par. We would definitely go to another Cheddar's if we came across one in our travels. I miss the Onion Rings already!

Cheddars is a staple in our "we don't feel like cooking today" rotation at work so I'm mostly familiar with their takeout service but I recently stopped in with friends for a round and a bite. The takeout service is usually stellar and I love that the buffalo chicken wrap is a large enough portion to have for lunch and then again for dinner so hey, dandy in my book. My experience in house wasn't quite so smooth. I ordered a bottle of beer and our waitress returned, all apologies, and explained that they didn't have that. Ordered a different one and once again, flustered, she returns. This time with a list of what they DID have, which was a lot smaller than their drink list. Really frustrating. To her credit, she was spot on and friendly and the meals were just fine but the bar stock was really lacking. I ordered a Coors light draft, thinking I ordered something they would definitely have and she had to make a third apology for being out of beer. How ridiculous is that? Still a good place for food in Pooler, which is sorely lacking options.

Call in orders to this place are the worse. My wife and I have been hung up on or left on hold when calling to place an order. We have even called back to speak with a manager and left on hold again. This place was great when it first opened but customer service and food quality have went down tremendously. Ruby Tuesday is a bit pricy, but service is 100 times better.

We stayed at a Ramada Hotel (I think) which was literally a block away from this joint- and only decided to venture in here because it seemed constantly packed with people. Despite our initial guess that this place would be no better than a typical Chili's, we walked in. Here's what we had: Back ribs (9.99)- Nothing crazy mind-blowing, but above average- tender, a bit sweet with the sauce, but that's usually the case with places like these. A side of rice and (forgotten) broccoli came with the meal. For this price, it's pretty much a steal. (3.5) Napa Chicken Ciabatta- garlic aioli, avocado, red cabbage (6.99)- This was a pretty impressive sandwich. Tender, tasty grilled chicken, airy-soft ciabatta bread, just the right combination of flavors. The only iffy thing was that the avocado was not quite ripe yet. But they were generous with it! A sandwich and another side included, for ~7 bucks? That's awesome. (4.25) All in all, a super value for great portions and solid flavorful food. Too bad the waitress forget to bring my broccoli...but even so.... Who would've thought? Not us. We went to Smokin' Pig the next day....and wished we went back here instead.

No complaints at all. Good food great service, nice esthetic and HUGE portions! I kept it simple, Cheese burger, fries & slaw. I wanted apple pie alamode but I was too full! I setted for a shot glass sized key lime pie... it was PACKED into a shot glass. I'm gonna POP! I like the music being played also! Good mix of 70's & 80's (I'm a child of the 70's). GOOD STOP! I'll be back.

Went here this weekend with some friends and found the restaurant to be enjoyable overall. We went in the evening and the place was very busy, but the service wasn't too bad. The lemon pepper chicken that I ordered was only so-so. It was a little fatty and I wouldn't likely get the dish again. However, the rice and two sides were quite delicious. And the food my friends ordered was good enough that I would probably try the restaurant a second time.

  • Jaime A.

So far I have tried the grilled tilapia with mango salsa which was good, wish it had more of the mango salsa, the fish tacos were very good the cajun tartar sauce makes them taste even better, the full rack of ribs were good as well. I did not enjoy their sides very much though. The corn is just canned corn, the mashed potatoes had chunks of potatoes in it. The atmosphere is nice and their building looks really nice as well. Prices are good just wish their sides were better quality.

Went here with the Savannah branch of the family. It's one of their favorites and very accomodating to our 16 month old grandson. I appreciated the quality of the foods-very apparent that they are hand made with attention to details. Portion size is more than ample. I'm told by my son in law that the steak & rib combo dinner is exceptional. The blended-here rib rub is so exceptional that he eschews the sauces. Great value and honest flavors make this a great family place. However the bar area looks as if it is great fun for adults!

I was unimpressed and sorely disappointed with my experience at Cheddars. My husband and I had dinner with a crowd of 6. We saw how busy the place was and eager to try it. When a friend recommended it, we thought.... perfect! Food: Inconsistent, overcooked and low grade Atmosphere: Family, Casual, Nondescript Service: Forgetful and NOT friendly Waiting time: Surprisingly quick given the size of our group Group has a broad range of food: Inconsistent, dry, lacking herbs and depth of flavor Chicken Alfredo (2/5); Alfredo was lumpy, milk solids evident and heavy Ribs & Shrimp (2/5) w/ side of rice and beans (overly and unnecessarily salty!) (1/5); Bourbon Shrimp w/ rice and broccoli (1/5); it was too sweet, cold and the broccoli was undercooked Lemon chicken (3/5); Fried chicken and ribs (2/5) WARNING: If you want to go to a family restaurant for someone's birthday and have the waiter sing to the guest of honor, it won't happen here so go somewhere else for that....sorry. I was surprised myself. Overall rating: (2/5) I have had much better. Fro quality of food and service, I would choose Ruby Tuesdays, which is not too far.

Same old, same old. We go all the time. No big issues today. There is always a problem with lipstick(3 times already) on the wine glasses, sometimes bad waitresses, not to mention they go through waitresses like female products. ( I know that from a current employee and a previous waitress) If you go eat here, they have a cheap priced menu. So what does cheap prices bring? The same people Wal-Mart brings in. Just flip a coin and hope for no issues. The waitress/waiter will make or break your night. If you ask me, Management is a direct reflection of this Restaurant, and they need better managers.

I read a lot of the reviews before writing this one. All I can say is either I got there on an off-night in the kitchen or people are so used to this crap they think it is good. I ordered the New Orleans Pasta. The one with Shrimp; Chicken and Sausage over linquine with Cajun Alfredo sauce. Sounds great, right? WRONG! The chicken was dry; the shrimp was rubber; and the sausage was out of a plastic bag with ZERO flavor. The "cajun" alfredo sauce was out of a jar with no cajun anything in it--and it was glopped on part of the pasta, no attempt to mix it in with the pasta and other ingredients, as I would have done were I in the kitchen. And,it was all COLD, and I don't mean not hot, I mean REFRIGERATOR COLD. The bread was stale, and the pasta overcooked. I took my meal to go, which should not have been a problem, being that my hotel was practically on top of the place (just across the highway.) I can only assume (based on the long wait for the food to be delivered) that it sat in the kitchen until someone noticed it, and sent it out. I sent an email to Cheddars to point out my dissatisfaction, and they never acknowledged it. Never going to eat this 'food' again. I am glad others find it palatable... it is not for me.

The only reason this place gets a 3-star rating is because there were very few options in surrounding areas. We were heading back to Florida from Asheville, NC and wanted to eat something somewhat close to the interstate that was not fast food. The restaurant was only a couple minutes out of the way. The service was friendly and the place was packed with locals on a Tuesday evening. We sat at the bar and the food came out quick. It was fair. We ordered house salads, soup and side vegetables (baked potato was firm and broccoli was limp - but both were edible). They have Tito's vodka, which made me happy (and it was cheap, relatively speaking). In any other circumstance this place would get a 2 star rating in my book, as it's bascially a glorified Bennigans or Ruby Tuesdays with a more local vibe.

Amazing service! We were driving past Savannah on a road trip and called ahead a dinner order to go for six. It was St. Patrick's Day. The place was packed with people waiting outside. Our food was ready when we arrived. We were out in less than 10 minutes and the price was barely more than a fast food drive-thru. They also make amazing sweet tea!

We stopped by on our way South on I-95 about 7pm on a Monday night. It was crowded. We waited about 10 minutes for seating. My son had the Lemon-Pepper catfish. He loved it. I had the Hawaiian Salad. I thought it was good. The others in our party enjoyed their food, and it arrived at our table quickly. We were all very satisfied with our meals. So much so that we stopped by on our return trip back north. Again we were served quickly and the food was very good. This time we got appetizers (spinach dip and cheese fries.) Both were good. We also got deserts - which were on the "massive" side (especially the piece of cake.) I was too full to try them. Sure - it's a chain - so you aren't going to find a hidden gem. But this location was a chain done well. Hot food, well executed, quick service, a friendly and attentive staff, in a clean location. I was impressed and would stop by again or recommend to others in the area.

First time visitor and the location was across from our hotel. Our overall experience was fine. The service was excellent. The value was outstanding. We got a lot of food for a very minimal price. When you live in the NYC area you usually file for Chapter 11 after a meal like this. We had the side salads to start which were big and seasoned just right with the balsamic vinegar. We had the burger with cheddar cheese and onions and a side of mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes had to much of a buttery taste. We also had the Napa Ciabatti. Tasty and satisfying. We also had a full rack of baby back ribs with steamed broccoli and baby carrots. The ribs fell off the bone but were very dry. They could have used more BBQ sauce. The carrots were canned but the broccoli was fresh. All that food for $34 before tip. I feel bad writing some negative comments.

Was in the area visiting friends ( we live in FL). Had never been to a Cheddar's and now will probably not want to try it again. Typical chain restaurant. Server was unattentive, had to keep asking for things that should have been done without asking, ie: refills on drinks, clearing empty and dirty dishware. Then..... had a sandwich, and there was paper from the coldcuts in it. Had to call the server again. At least the manager came and took it off the bill.

This place was gross. My friends raved about it, but it was your typical chain restaurant experience. I ordered the chicken fried steak and when the waitress placed this massive portion in front of me, I knew I was in trouble. It was bland, the steak was tough and overdone, over breaded and over sauced. The gravy....ugh, the gravy. The gravy was sweet! I ordered a side of steamed baby carrots and they were overly sweet. We won't be returning. Sometimes its worth paying the extra few bucks for a high quality meal.

Stopped in with my wife while traveling south on 95, easy access off the highway. I was surprised how crowded the parking lot was at 3:30 in the afternoon. We got the Edamame for an appetizer. It was ok and I was a little surprised by the small portion. My wife had the mushroom burger which was fantastic. I had the shepherd's pie which was ok, but a little watery for my taste. Service was efficient but not super friendly. Overall decent, quick place to eat while traveling.

Good quality and quantity of food for the price. Good burgers and buffalo chicken wrapper. I also recommend the honey mustard chicken and mushrooms.

Myself and coworkers would come to Cheddar's every Thu night for NFL football and eat/drink in the bar area. They have a very diverse menu, the portions and prices make this place a good value. The service is always good and the food is great. Good burgers and they also have a good buffalo chicken wrap.

In tune with other reviews, the value here is worthwhile. The food is decent and on par with an Applebees or Ruby Tuesday; a dinner for two including a few drinks can easily be done for $40 or less. I give them credit for attempting to make it feel more upscale; waiters in ties and a menu that looks like it'd be more expensive than it actually is - so it's a nice shot at making average American food a little more than just your average chain variety (which is basically what it is). I stopped in on Easter Sunday for a quick lunch before getting on I-95 (yes its very conveniently located). It was quiet when we got in, our waitress called us and everyone else "darlin'" and was slightly overzealous (read: overly attentive). She immediately apologized for the fact that there were a few flies in the dining area - compliments to the fact the front door was open when we arrived. I felt bad for the table that was seated after us in the same section, the flies sort of congregated around them. The few that were flying around seemed to be attracted to this one part of the restaurant we were in (which had a lot of natural light), and that big party became rather disgusted and got up and walked out. The flies left us alone, but it was a bit unnerving to see flies in an indoor restaurant. The manager really should have made sure the front door was shut (I understand the open door is like "welcoming" in your customers, but when it also lets in bugs and deters customers, you should take note!). If you're still reading now that you heard about the flies... (I gave this a 3 instead of a 2 because I went there once for dinner last summer and there were no flies so I don't think it's a recurring problem.) Since it was Sunday, no drinks in Georgia til 12:30 p.m. so we just drank water. Had the chicken fiesta nachos to start, which were really tasty but could've used extra sour cream. I really liked that each chip had its own heap of chicken, queso, cheese, etc. right on top - no scooping needed. I ordered the potato soup which was okay, it didn't taste homemade but it was fine. My boyfriend had the Monte Cristo with fries, which I tried. Don't recommend the fries, they're not good enough to warrant the calories (at all!) but I liked the sandwich, it was like a sweet and salty grilled cheese with ham and a side of raspberry jam. I would have it again. For both of us to share an app and have lunch, it was under $25 with tip. I've also tried their buffalo chicken finger wrap (last summer, I believe along with a margarita, which was also tasty) and that was pretty good. If you're looking for something quick and easy, it's a good place to stop. If you want something less chain-like, go the extra 15 miles into the downtown Savannah area for some more impressive food options.

After a long drive we gave Cheddar's a try since it was close to our hotel. When we arrived I feared a long wait since the lot was packed. This would have been a problem since we needed to feed two very hungry young kids. Surprisingly the wait was about 15 minutes, accurately predicted by the hustling hostess crew. The restaurant was very crowded but the hustling wait staff handled it well. I can't say the food arrived quickly but it wasn't so long that we were frustrated. We had gotten some buns to take the edge off so the kids were OK. The food was good all around. As referenced elsewhere the chicken pot pie was pretty good.

I don't see why everyone LOVES cheddar's. Sure, the prices are low but the food is just okay. They have the same basic food you can get at any chain place around. We've given it a try several times and I'm just not impressed. For me it just doesn't live up to the hype. there is usually a wait to be seated and a wait to be served, but that's fine with me because the great places nearby are easier to get into now.

I have never had a problem at any of my visits to this location. I have never had any complaints which is rare for me. The food is always good. It's very inexpensive, and the service is friendly and fast.

stayed at the Embassy Suites(which was also great and right down the street) and saw Cheddars on the way to check in. the reviews are mixed but we cannot complain. the service was fast, the food was great and very affordable, and the atmosphere was also good. we were very glad we went.

It's not fine dining, but for the price it's a great value. Usually pretty crowded. Portions are HUGE. Love the honey croissants.

    1. We waited an hour for a simple order on a not-terribly-busy Sunday night. We were never offered bread, extra water, or anything, though the server was pleasant enough when she was around. 2. When the order arrived, the fries and pasta were dried up and cold, and clearly from the bottom of their respective containers. In addition, my wife's sandwich was supposed to have bacon and tomato, and did, after a fashion: one beaten slice off the bottom of an old tomato, and one half of a piece of weathered, limp bacon. 3. The manager came to our table promptly when we inquired, and was properly sympathetic, and had my wife's sandwich and fries remade (with good results). He did not offer to comp any of our food. The server did remove the sandwich from our bill. 4. I have family who frequent Cheddar's, and they swear that it's not usually like that, anywhere else they've been. This was my first visit, and will likely be my last.

Perfect place for a delicious meal during my travels to the area...Excellent service by Kristen at the bar, however the tap selection could be improved upon by adding local brews! The mango salsa tilapia was perfection!

I live down the street from Cheddar's, so we eat there frequently. We had one in my old hometown, so I already knew what to expect. There are some things on the menu that are fabulous, but there are some things I'd stay away from. I definitely recommend the baked spasagna with meat sauce, and if you order a side salad it comes with the most delicious croissant you've ever put in your mouth.

My husband and I usually go out for dinner on Friday and we decided to take a chance of Cheddars, which I had heard praised many times over from friends who live in Pooler. Got there around 630pm and had to wait 20 minutes--it was obviously quite popular! Good atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, clean and modern bathrooms, lots of happy families and kids. We decided to start with the onion rings, which came piled in a veritable tower of golden, batter-dipped goodness with ranch and Cajun-style dipping sauces; please note, there is only one size: HUGE! It would take at least two couples/4 people to finish this goodie! The onion rings reminded me a lot of Carey Hilliards: crispy, golden, crunchy, delicious! We could only eat half the order and put the remaining ones in a box (popped in the over for 15 min. on Sat. they were still good!) My husband ordered the chicken-fried steak with fries and seasoned rice. The steak looked good, but I found the flavor rather bland--honestly, IHOP on Victory Drive has a much better one, or maybe Cracker Barrel. He said the seasoned rice was quite good. I had the chicken finger-baby back ribs (half-slab) combo with steamed broccoli and coleslaw. The ribs were so tender you could pull the meat right off the bone, but he sauce is too sweet for my personal taste, but other than that I have no complaints about them--Sticky Finger's ribs are just better all around. The broccoli was bright green, fresh looking, nicely steamed without being either mushy or too crunchy and the cole slaw was fresh and tasty. The meat of the chicken fingers was tender, and you get a huge pile of them--however, for me, the crust was too hard and crunchy and didn't have much flavor. The one thing that blew me AWAY was a side order of 3 delicate croissants (only $1.79) dripping with honey and butter--a golden, flaky mouthful of heavenly taste & texture!-- and totally worth the entire trip! This is a big family place with plentiful food at really low prices and good ambiance; I tend to think that repeated trips where one can experiment and try a little something different each time, is what's needed--that way you figure out what they do well--for YOU--and what to avoid. Nothing was particularly bad or inedible, and what was good was REALLY good, so we came away with a good impression, definitely intending to return soon! As a side note, my hubby and I have good appetites and the figures to prove it, but we filled TWO take-out boxes with the remainders of the dinner and had enough for lunch the next day---an excellent deal! OK--second trip back & update: Went there on a weekend and I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie, looks good, tastes, eh, just OK--I kept adding pepper and had to ask for hot sauce, because, honestly, just not much flavor--pretty bland. Stuffed potato skins, just OK. Hubby's Philly Cheese steak sandwich, meh, nothin' special. The apple pie, however, was great! a HUGE slice served with ice-cream, easily enough for two people, And, of course, the croissants are still orgasmically delicious! Final take on Cheddars: Not bad, not great, but a good deal for the low prices, nice place, but the food, in general is pretty bland, big, American style---bring your hot sauce or favorite condiment or shake-on spice, and maybe that will help...

Got seated right away, then sat for about 7 minutes while waiting for the waitress to show up. Maybe she was on break, restaurant wasn't that busy but 2 other tables were seated, ordered drinks and meals before I got a menu. When I did get my meal it was cold, not much on taste. Ordered the steak and shrimp combo. I didn't go back any of the time I was in the area. I can not recommend this restaurant.

Wow! Our first night in a new city, my family ventured over to Cheddar's which was close to our hotel. The food is fantastic! Hot! Southern! and Plentiful! ...and CHEAP! The most expensive steak on the menu is under $15. Veggie plates with lots of choices are $6. They were also having an all day special: $2 for a huge cold beer. This place rocks!

Love this place!!!!! Great food with great prices. The portion sizes are huge. I've tried several items off the menu and can't find anything I don't like. The servers are friendly and nice. If eating out on a Friday or Saturday nigth, I would suggest getting there early. That way, you don't have to wait for a table.

Good quality solid menu. I'm 6'5" 260 and enjoy pasta so I ordered the "spasagna". I kid you not, I ate a little more than half and was way satisfied. This is more than 2 big servings EASY. Salad was great, bread great, and nice people to boot.

Wow...a great find on our recent trip thru Savannah! The menu has tons to choose from, and the portions are huge. It was pretty busy when we were there but our waitress was always a step ahead of us with refills, etc. We will definitely stop here again on the way to or from Florida!
