We work right down the road from this place so its a nice place to enjoy at lunch. Parking - easy access I like fact we can eat inside or outside - on some days its nice to hang outside and enjoy our food. Food - always enjoy it. Especially the potato skins. Customer service - always friendly, haven't ran out of drink yet. They come by the table often which is a plus. Price vs portion - Everything I've enjoyed so far was worth the price I paid for it. Will be eating there again soon for lunch. -Not a place I'd bring my kids to; however, definitely a nice place to bring a co-worker or friends.

when I get a chance to go to Tavares, FL. I like to stop in and get 2 take-outs of their wonderful corn beef and cabbage. They make the best corn beef and cabbage that I have ever tasted. I don't drink and am not much of a bar person, that's why I get take-out. Linda G Leesburg

A cute little place on the water in a suburb of Orlando. The neighborhood was very pretty, remote, but pretty. I did not go inside, so I cannot speak for the interior, but sat outside with a good friend I had not seen in YEARS for lunch. I ordered a blackened chicken salad, which was pretty good. The waitress was sweet, the service was good. I will probably never go back there again due to the remote location, but if you find yourself in this area you should check it out.

I went to O'Keefe's about a week ago with a few friends. The draft beer selection was lacking compared to the places I usually go. I ordered a hamburger, which was delicious. Very good quality meat, and cooked to order just right. It was about $1-2 dollars higher priced than I would have expected, though.

O'Keefe's is a true Irish Pub first, and restaurant second. I can't truthfully comment on their service as a restaurant (because I've only gone there for drinks), but I can give them a glowing review for their performance as a pub. It's a family-owned business that's been a Lake County favorite since the 80's. It's located in the beautifully-renovated lakefront Tavares area (across from Wooton Park on Lake Dora). They've got friendly service, a variety of brews (on tap and in bottles), and great pub fare. There are few places better to grab a pint with your mates! Again, I can't comment on their performance as a restauraunt, only because I haven't gone there for food yet (unless you consider beer a meal). BUT, if their service as a pub is any indicator, I'm sure it can't be bad.

The beer was great, however the fried fish I had was not fresh fish, but pre bettered frozen and the baked potato was day old and reheated. My girl friend had the Shepard's pie witch was cold and the potato's tasted old. The sever was not there to sever use at all, we could not get service, we gave up on ordering more beer and talking to her about the food. We will never go back!

My boyfriend and i had dinner here on friday night. They have a nice sitting area outside. He had the blackened mahi and I had the grilled salmon which was tasty. The service was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and very prompt. I had a glass of the house cabernet which was very good. At the end of our meal the live music started. It was a man singing with his guitar and he sounded great. We will be back.

We stopped in for lunch for the first time . The service was extremely friendly and attentive. My husband ordered the bangers and mash and I had the tuna melt. Both were very fresh and delicious. We definitely will come back again in the near future.

This place has some of the best wings I've ever eaten! A little dark on the inside but the food is phenomenal!

Great Irish pub. As soon as you first walk in the Irish decor hits ya. The place is well laid out and has outdoor eating and drinking for those of us that like to sit outside. The drink menu provides a good selection and the food menu covers a wide variety as well. Since we were thirsty we didn't opt to gorge ourselves on food. Instead we had a few drinks and some home made potato chips which were fantastic! The wait staff was pleasant and warm. Great place to stop and unwind after climbing Mt Dora.

Stopped in for a late lunch on Saturday I ordered the tuna melt on an English muffin it came open faced both halves stacked high with tuna and cheese. Never had a tuna melt quite like it I don't plan on getting it any other way from now on. Cole slaw was creamy and rich tasting. My wife enjoyed her grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich We both brought leftovers home. Even better the next day

Have not recently been here but came when we first moved to lake county in 2013. So I'm don't have a recent review, but from our 2013 visit for lunch it was ok but nothing to rave about. The lunch menu didn't have much to offer. I got a club sandwich that was mostly bread so I took out the middle layer of bread. The atmosphere is really dark and something about carpet in a restaurant just makes me cringe. Haven't been back since. But it looks nice on the outside patio

I don't know of any Irish pubs in the area so I tried this place out. Well at best at least they have Guinness on draft. The food is kinda mediocre and very overpriced. I guess you have to expect that for a place in downtown on the lake.

I ate at this restaurant with 3 others the other night. I ordered the blackened cheese burger. It was brought to me completely raw on the inside and cold to touch. I sent it back, I received it a second time slightly less raw then the first time. I sent it back again. I received it a 3rd time finally cooked. However, when I cut it open I now had a burger cut in fourths. That meant the same burger I previously had was probably nuked in the microwave placed in a new bun and given back to me. Another person in my party received his Shepard's pie cold. I believe this place is a possible health hazard. I DO NOT recommend eating here. Plus the waitress provided poor service and was rude.

Great little bar on the lake. Full liquor bar, although I would stick with the beer selections. I've never had their food but I always scope out the tables around me when I'm there and the meals always looks good.

My husband loves dark, dingy pubs - the closer to his ideal of Irish, the better. This rang true for him, near the water, dark, woodsy, shelves loaded with knick knacks and six packs just waiting for you to read, fondle or devour. He was in pub heaven. It even had stained glass. The beer selection was okay, very IPA heavy. For an appetizer, we tried the salmon on toast with cheese, capers and onions - it was delightful. Just enough salt and sour to even out with the thick, heavy cheese. We had a variety of dishes within our group: Fried Shrimp - just enough for a senior citizen. She thought they were great. I had their signature chicken dish - O'Brien's Finest (not sure why): chicken breast stuffed with cheddar and ham and covered in brown sauce. The sauce was quite salty and the chicken very moist and tender - this dish was delicious. I also had mashed potatoes which were great to me - looked smashed with herbs. Hubs had Shepherd's Pie which he liked but wasn't overwhelmed with the flavor. He thought it was too much potato without enough meat and stuff. He also likes cheese in his Shepherds pie and it wasn't in there. He had a slice of the Baileys Irish Cream Cheesecake and loved every bite. Great little pub with a lovely park and lake to walk afterwards, we would go back.

Came here on a Saturday evening around 6:30pm and was surprised to find the place somewhat empty. There was a group of people doing car bombs at the bar but otherwise the place was empty. It was however, nicely decorated with all sorts of Irish paraphernalia. I was in the mood for wings so I ordered 10 naked wings with bleu cheese. They were a decent size and naturally went well with the bleu cheese. No drink specials at the time, but they did seem to have a nice selection of brew. I would consider coming back to try some of the Irish food they had there.

Service is great, fast and friendly. The smoked salmon entree was pretty good. The Shepherd's pie was terrible. It was about 90% mashed potatoes with very, very sparse bits of meat and veg. really. 90% potatoes. They were tasty but that's one expensive bowl of potatoes.

We like O'Keefes...probably better than we should...Spun as an Irish Pub, Okeefes shouldn't disappoint...just steer clear of the bombastic menu. We order the "boxty" potatoes occasionally, when our self-preservation hasn't kicked in. To be honest, Okeefes ain't that bad for bar food. Service is horrible in the dining room, half decent at the bar. They have live "Irish" entertainment several days a week and good tap...if you eat anything K.I.S.S. is the rule.
