This location has got to be the worst in the entire chain when it comes to getting drive thru orders right. You may as well ask them to give you whatever they have ready because you won't get what you order. Going thru their drive thru is equivalent to ordering a pizza and then having Chinese food delivered. When you get home and discover their screw-up and call to complain, they want you to bring it back. HELL NO!!! If I bring it back someone is getting slapped upside the head. Get in your damn car and bring the correct food to me!! How stupid do you have to be not to take the correct order at a drive thru? Apparently this Steak 'n Shake seeks out and hires the dumbest people they can find.

Always a fan of a good Frisco Melt or steakburger, this location across from Target is a decent spot to have a quick greasy burger and a shake. Their prices are generally pretty good, and any given week there's a flyer in the mail with coupons, so there's plenty of incentive to swing by. This time I went through the drive-thru, and my order came out in a reasonable amount of time - 7 minutes for a Frisco, fries, and club sandwich.

Same story with this place. It has been at least six months since I have darkened the doors at the Steak-n-Shake on Bloomingdale in Brandon. Today I waited several minutes to be seated due to an obvious short staff situation. The waitress was nice and food came out fairly fast. The management needs to hire or ensure they have the proper coverage so folks are not waiting at the door.

Steak 'n Shake is the epitome of outstanding cheap food. I know those words hardly ever go together, but it makes sense when you really think about Steak n' Shake. I went to this restaurant for brunch and it was completely crowded. In fact, I had to wait to get seated. This restaurant really doesn't have a good system for waiting either. It consists of basically standing in front of the door awkwardly until someone notices you. Although once I was seated, the waitress and staff were rather friendly and helpful. During my brunch, I had eggs, hash browns, bacon and pancakes. My wife had mini burgers and fries. My dish was alright and my wife seemed to like her dish as well. The food was nothing to rave about but it did fill us up. I also shared a peanut butter shake with my wife, which was rather delicious. The shake was infinitely creamy and had small chunks of peanut butter in it. The whole shake just blended really well together. As a whole, the restaurant was rather clean and I enjoyed my experience at Steak 'N Shake. It wasn't memorable in shape or form but it had a different quality about it. It was cheap. I'll give Steak N' Shake three stars for this reason alone. Not to mention, their shakes are simply phenomenal. It was just a heavenly creation filled with chunks of gooey delicious peanut butter. (Is that descriptive enough for you?)

I have been to this Steak N Shake many times since it's the closest to my house. Yes, the food is greasy but I knew that before I came... to be honest that's why I like it! I wouldn't go here if I was looking to eat something healthy. I've never had to wait too long for a table and the service is always okay. Food comes up quick and prices are decent- they're basically the same if not cheaper than going to a real fast food joint. I love their milkshakes, they are thick and delicious! I will say that I have gone through the drive- thru about three times and unless necessary, I would not recommend. I have waited longer in the drive-thru for my meal than in the restaurant and I don't think the food is as good. I dont know if this is because it sits in the car for a few minutes on the way home or what but I would prefer to eat inside anyday! I am sure I will be back again.

This place is why we need an option to rate zero stars. My goodness this place is garbage. It is a shame because sometimes I like to go to Steak n Shake because I like their shakes from time to time. Was on the way home from the Home Depot (in the same parking lot) and my wife and I decided to grab some burgers, fries and shakes. My goodness, talk about barf on a bun and that is only half the story. The burgers are notoriously thin, that's fine, but it was so overcooked it was like a meat chip which crunched when you bit into it. Also when the highlight of the burger was the tomato you know you have a bad burger. Their fries are not that great to begin with, but they were cold and unsalted. The shakes were the real bummer, it was like they forgot to add the flavor, tasted like blended down vanilla ice cream.

This is the place I go to late at night when I want some junk to eat and if I want to take my dogs for a car ride. I always find that Steak and Shakes are better when you actually sit in and dine, not do drive thru. I feel they rush things if you order through the drive thru and food becomes bad quality. The chili is good and I love the frisco melt, but I try to say "go easy on the butter" because they seriously put a slab of butter on the bread. I like how they have happy hours for milkshakes... even though I don't drink milkshakes. If I didn't have coupons, I probably wouldn't come here.

This location, as far as Steak & Shakes go, is not too bad. The restaurant & service staff are pretty clean cut and are very nice however the food is VERY greasy. As someone else mentioned, they like to soak their bread in butter before toasting which wouldn't be bad if there wasn't a 1/2 cup of grease dripping from the 1/8" thick burger patty (I don't know where it all comes from). The one thing I can say is CHECK YOUR CUP! My wife and I have repeatedly found pieces of potato in our drinks. I'm not sure if they store hash browns in the ice bins or what but we've had 3-4 different visits where we've found potatoes in the drinks, sad. We've also had great and horrible service and it's never consistent and there doesn't appear to be a good time of day to go for service.

Not bad, but you really get what you pay for. This location is right in the middle as far as Steak N Shakes go, so you know hat you are getting. As a vegetarian, I usually end up getting a side salad and cottage cheese. This fine from time to tome, but more options would really help out! So if you are in the mood for a diner atmosphere and a burger served by a waiter 24 hours a day this is a good choice.

My boyfriend races at the dirt track nearby fairly regularly, so we end up at this Steak 'n Shake a couple times a month. The service is consistently poor, but the food is just as good as any other Steak 'n Shake. It can sometimes take half an hour just to get a drink! To be fair, a lot of race teams come here to eat so it can get very busy. The drive-thru stays busy as well. Maybe if they added a few staff members it would improve the wait times. Like any other restaurant in this chain, the prices cannot be beat. This is especially true when combined with their coupons! I do love their fries and the seasoned salt that is left on each table. I guess sometimes you have to sacrifice in one area to gain in others.

Tried to go through the drive-thru. It's a little before ten pm.... I have one car sitting behind me and they refused to take our order because we had three separate orders. Their reason was they can only take two orders due to volume... You had four people in your line. Normally it's pretty fast when I use the drive-thru service. But I had to come inside. Why offer a service when you can't serve? Not too happy, I work in the industry the customer is usually right, but you do what you can to serve your customer. You can make three burgers in one order but not three burgers in three separate orders? It's ridiculous not happy

First off I would give.our server Maria 4 stars but some of the reasons I would give it a 2 star overall- No hostess/greeter stood there awkwardly for a few minutes Food was okay but how can u mess up eggs and bacon? Place needs a REALLY good cleaning- booths, floor and bathrooms are disgusting. Had to ask someone to ring up our bill no cashier. Management needs to take care of business and take pride in that store--always a busy place and will start losing customers.
