My wife and I were just looking through the window since we noticed this was no longer Davis Bakery and the owner came to the door and let us in. I really only wanted a peek but he was very warm and friendly so we came in, Well me being a foodie and eyeing up that dessert case I saw some cannoli's and I have to admit, the were beautifully done so I split one with my wife. After encouraging her to give me a description of it from her perspective she just gave me the look of " Why do you ask me when you are the critic" so I spared her and took a bite for myself. She said the shell was very crispy and she was correct. The flavor was excellent but had tasted those shells before but could not remember where from and the owner admitted they were not made in house. He offered to tell me but I would rather let him keep the secret but his source is providing him top notch shells. The filling is made in house and it was very good. Not too sweet and a really nice texture. I liked how it just kind of melted in my mouth. The ends of the shells were dipped in chocolate and had some chocolate chips. I would have preferred shaved chocolate instead of chips but the chips he used accented the ricotta nicely. I also sampled their creme puff. The Pate a Choux had a great flavor and a good texture and their cream filling was very good. It again was not sickening sweet but had a nice taste with the whipping cream being the star of the show. I liked the subtle hint of vanilla in the background. Nicely done. Had I not been planning to go to a grand reopening of a soul food place in Sanford this evening, I would have sampled more of the items in the case. Rest assured that this will NOT be my last trip here and you will get some updates on what I sample in the case. I am really looking forward to seeing what he can do when it comes to bread after sampling a couple of the sweet treats... If you prefer organic milk with your sweets as I do, he has the Horizon brand in the case. I prefer their whole milk over the 2% and 1% but he did not have it. With luck they offer it in the single serve containers because the creaminess of it would have been great to wash down those to delights I sampled... Go check them out...

Great service! The lady at the front, Kayla, was super friendly. The food was great. I had the egg bagel breakfast sandwich. Been looking for a great bagel place close by and I think we got one. I will be back to try some other great stuff on the menu. They are open tues to sunday 6:30 am to 3pm.

This used to be Davis bakery which was one of my favorite Sunday brunch spot. This new place--Diana's Bakery is subpar. Quite frankly, it shouldn't be referred as a "bakery." The baking goods was mostly donuts, bagel, cookies, and muffin. It doesn't have any specialty baking goods that make you want to come back. As for the customer service, it isnt the same. I dont get greeted when I come in. The staff aren't that friendly and warm like at Davis. As for the sandwiches, it was edible but nothing to write home about. Overall, the food is good it is just not worth my time to come back when there are so many better bakery nearby. The only thing it has going for is that it is dog friendly and has a nice view.

Tony's a great guy and the staff is very sweet. I had the cinnamon roll as I asked what the best baked good was. It tasted amazing! It was very gooey. I also got a coffee and that was great too. Overa, it was a nice experience.

I would've never stepped into this place if my fiance didn't show me a picture of their Chocolate Cream Pie Cronuts. To be honest, after all of my times driving/walking in the downtown avalon park community, I have never heard about this place until that picture. Nestled next to Eastside Bistro, if you are walking, you will only see a sign with "Bakery" on it (They probably have a huge sign when driving, but as I said I am quite oblivious to signs when concentrating to go to my destination). So glad I know about it now, as its quite a gem! I haven't tried their breakfast or lunch items yet, so this review is for their pastries. Their selection isn't vast, but its enough. BUT know that the pastries are made from scratch! You will see muffins, cupcakes, cakes, croissants, turnovers, rolls, and cronuts. The beloved cronuts are only available Sundays, while they have special pastries that are on a rotational basis (such as the chocolate cream pie cronuts). Like them on Facebook if you want to know what special pastries they have before they go away/run out! Anyways what I got: Blueberry Muffin: Perfect texture, perfect amount of blueberries, good size to keep me full for breakfast, and not overwhelmingly sweet. I would definitely get it again. Chocolate Croissant: A square croissant. I let my fiance eat this for breakfast and he says its very good. If its a day old, just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds. Now for the cronuts (NOTE: My first thought was that the cronuts look a bit deflated compared to other cronuts I have seen, but don't let that deter you away!): Powdered Cronut: Buttery, Flaky, and the powder sugar complimented it well. Cinnamon Powdered Cronut: Same as the Powdered Cronut. Fiance thought it was good. Lemon Meringue Cronut filled with lemon jelly: Fiance had this one, he didn't like the Meringue as it was alot ontop so he removed it. Other than that, it was good. From my understanding, this bakery replaced the beloved Davis Bakery (which I see at winterpark's farmers market with their appetizing bagel sandwiches!). But that doesn't mean they can't recreate it. According to the menu if there is a special request, they will try to accommodate it! Maybe I will try that next time. Overall perfect spot if you don't want to deal with the lines at the breakfast place in waterford and want to stay close by! Support Local!

Grand reopening of this bakery/restaurant in Avalon Park was not what we expected... Thought there would be balloons, champagne toast, and hors d'oeuvres... Instead, it was a set menu at a set price. The food was okay, but took far too long for this small restaurant. Some ideas for improvement would be to change the front façade when you first come into the restaurant, dim the lights and put some candles on the tables. Noise level was way too high for this intimate atmosphere. Also, it would've been nice if the owner had acknowledged us when we left... He looked but we were ignored. There's room for improvement, but am hopeful this new concept will survive and flourish.

Have not been to this place since it was Davis Bakery (wasn't a fan). We decided to stop by today after another great lunch at Brianto's. Talked to the owner who was very nice and recommended the cannoli over the crumb cake that I was eyeing. I am a cannoli fan and I think I may have a new favorite place to feed my cannoli cravings. The shell was not too crunchy or too soft and the cannoli cream was phenomenal. I meant to take a picture, but once I picked it up I don't think it ever touched the plate again. Shout out to Mike P. The owner had a story to tell me about you and the cannoli. Lol. If you are a cannoli connoisseur you have to check this place out.

I enjoy coming here for breakfast after I workout at the Y. Good vegetable omelets. This is my first lunch here. Reuben for St Patrick's Day. The sandwich was good but it was very light on corned beef. For the price I expected a little more. Slaw was very good. The pastries and baked goods look so good. I'm sure my blood sugar meter wouldn't like me to eat any. I can stare though.

We come here about once a week and it never disappoints! The friendly owners and delicious breakfast sandwiches/baked goods make this one of our favorite places!

This place is ok. Nothing out of the ordinary, and honestly, nothing you can't make yourself at home. I always hope for more diverse bagel or bakery options when my husband and I visit (we have gone 3 times), but the menu is limited and uncreative. However, the staff is nice and the service is quick. I'd rather drive a little and go somewhere else than walk here.

Really good homemade food and friendly service. We usually go with my family on saturdays and no matter what time of the day you go, they served breakfast all day!

If I could I would give no stars. This place had been terrible. I have been in on a couple occasions and was not impressed either time. There was one other couple in the dining area but otherwise it was empty. The food was subpar and inconsistent. I got the dianas platter which had a little of everything. My pancakes we're rubbery and tasted like a box mix I could make at home, the potatoes we're tasteless and hard, and the bacon was cold. My sister had the most expensive grilled cheese I've ever encountered, it was over stuffed with cheese and she ate a total of two bites. If the food wasn't bad enough the owner Tony came over and to ask how things were. When I complained it was nothing he had done wrong. On top of it all he creeped my little sister out. I will NOT be returning and I wouldn't recommend this place to my enimies, that would be too creul.

Complete 180 of what Davis used to be. We walked in and the girls behind the counter just stared at us with no greeting. Very small menu so my wife picked a poppy bagel (sorry they don't have it) so she chose everything bagel. I chose an omelette with a bagel. The order took forever to come out and when it did it was completely messed up. Wrong cheese in my omelette and missing an item I paid for. Burnt bagel on side with cream cheese I had to put on myself. Owner is walking around fixing other orders and couldn't stop by to see how we were. Complete waste of money. 5 & Diner coming to Avalon soon and this place will be gone for sure.

Drip coffee was good. Lemon poppy seed bread was on the dried side. We'll still be back to try their breakfast.

Best breakfast in Avalon Park. We usually eat here on Sunday mornings. Food and service are really good. I get the veggie omelette or nova and lox.

Previously Davis Bakery (my fiancé and my favorite breakfast spot). We came to try the new place and were overwhelmingly disappointed. The menu has completely changed, and all of the signature, historic sandwiches are gone. My veggie omelet was small and bland. Came with either toast/potatoes/fruit, where before it came with bread and fruit. Coffee is still good. The ambiance is still cute and cozy. It's clean and the service is friendly. This place has only been open for two weeks under new ownership and has a way to go. Its a solid breakfast, just doesn't compare to what it previously was. If you haven't been, definitely stop by, because you have nothing to compare it to

I came here with an empty stomach expecting to leave full and satisfied. Instead I was conned into buying a stale sub "sandwich" and a bottled drink for a little under 13 dollars. For such a high price tag I expected something freshly prepared but I was handed something you would expect from a gas station, straight out of the display case. The atmosphere inside screams unprofessional from the paper menus on the wall and the lack of confidence from the obviously newly trained employees. Needless to say, I will not be returning until the food is edible. Unless you enjoy biting into rock hard bread like we're back in the medieval times, this place is not for you.

Went for lunch yesterday! Counter service employees were very friendly and helpful when questioned about menu items. I had a rueben, my son had the turkey and brie. After his first bite he declared "this turkey is LEGIT!" House roasted turkey on a crusty rustic roll serves two easily. The reuben was one of the best in town :). We will be back!

We picked up some pastries this morning and WOW were they fantastic! This lovely little bakery has only been open a few weeks under new ownership and they are off to a wonderful start. We will definitely be back soon!

Stopped by there today to check it out. We had delicious cookies for a nice mid day snack. The service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be back.

I like to come to Diana's for lunch--specifically one sandwich (although others look scrumptious): The Caprese Sandwich. I used to eat a modified Caprese sandwich back in Miami and I've looked for one like the ones I used to eat back in the day, but was never able to find one. Enter Diana's. Their Caprese is always fresh, the mozzarella scrumptious, the pesto spread delightful. Served on a nice crusty bread, it's wonderful. They've recently invested in a soda fountain, which is a great idea, replacing the bottled sodas I used to have to purchase with my meal. My only critique of the sandwich package is they serve it with bagged potato chips. They're alright, but it would be good if they offered something like a fresh pasta salad with it. They do offer fruit as an alternative to the potato chips. In the next couple of weeks Diana's is going to start offering farm-to-table dinner service, which I'm dying to try. I'll update my review then, but I'm keeping fingers crossed that Diana's will soon become a favorite dinner spot as well as a place to grab a good sandwich.

Here's the thing, I wanted to like this place. I gave it a second try because it's close to my home, the staff is always very friendly, and the view from the dining area is really nice. They have a decent menu and a lovely display case filled with all kinds of sugary goodness. Unfortunately, the food just isn't made with love. I've had a breakfast sandwich (a very dry and salty biscuit with egg and cheese) as well as a lunch item (a hastily slapped together sandwich of roasted vegetables and hummus). There is the taste of something fast and uninvolved in everything I've ever eaten here. I've brought back some baked goodies (some Italian and chocolate chip cookies) to friends who ate the snacks unenthusiastically because the food just isn't remarkable. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning because I can't justify spending $10+ on a unexceptional entree with a side of squishy fruit because the staff is so cheerful.

Made the mistake of going on a day other than Sunday, which is when they have their famous "cronuts" I've been dying to try. Per the recommendation of the friendly employee behind the counter, I purchased a banana muffin. It was moist and flavorful. The selection of baked goods was not extensive, but I did come late in the afternoon. I will revisit for sure to try their breakfast and their cronuts. I feel like it'd be a cute place to sit with a cup of coffee and relax for a bit one morning!
