I love Wagon's West for breakfast. My husband hates it. I love it for lunch. He hates it. I enjoy the atmosphere at W.W. as it's no holds barred. The owner gets in a snit and insults the customers, the waitresses scream that he's in a bad mood ALL the time and the place is filled to capacity for the first two meals of the day, every day. The breakfast items are like Mom made. And it's one of the few where I can get grits. I'm a fan of their tuna salad sandwiches, BLTs, cole slaw and potato salad. Also, they give you lots of coffee refills without asking. About two years ago they gave the place a good cleaning. No more a/c vent droppings on the table. A little charm lost but I'm certain it'll be back. Enjoy! Oh, and don't take anything personally.

there are few places in Miami where you are better off speaking english than spanish. this is one of them, since you wouldn't know you're in miami once inside. if you want to hang with the over 50 guys crowd, sit at the counter, that's what we did. families are likely to sit at the booths. wherever you sit, you'll enjoy the good diner style breakfast. it's both a quality diner and a cultural experience.

I need to come back to Wagon's West but, as I recall and as others have mentioned, this is where you come for breakfast when you want it greasy, home-cooked, and delicious. This is certainly not the place that's got a menu of things you've never heard of or one filled with a bunch of items that you want to try. This is where you come for a killer, huge veggie omlette and some home fries. I remember having their veggie burger (they have one) and being pleased, so that's also a plus. If homey is important to you and just feeling like you're outside of such a large, busy city such as Miami, then it's a place to put on your radar. It's certainly comfy--mind the tight spaces. It's also a staple of the neighborhood and I have, more than a handful of times, had to wait to be seated because, again, it's not very spacious at all. Wagon's West is heads above the typical Denny's or IHOPs or--even in my opinion--Cracker Barrell...the latter, mostly, in terms of the food itself. I miss Wagon's West. Thinking I'm gonna make a trek down South there soon and see if it's as good as I remember.

If you want county American food you have come to the right place. It's small tucked in a strip mall. The service is not so great. If you go on the weekends expect a wait. Not good for big groups.

Ive been here about 3 or 4 times (going again tomorrow) and i cant knock it too much because its really the only decent breakfast place in the area. My biggest issue has to be the inconsistency in the meals. One weekend i will got and ill enjoy and the next not so much. I really go because they serve eggs Benedict and its pretty consistent. And hey it beats the heck out of dennys

The greatest chopped steak in the country... And I know chopped steak! I love the neighborhood atmosphere and local chatter. It is a what you see is what you get kinda place. No nonsense. Quick service and a great staff. The gem of Pinecrest. Home run!

Travelling from one of the end of the US to the other (SF to Miami), I come from a place with more than three fantastic breakfast diners. This place is EVERY bit their equal. The pancakes were heavenly, the eggs cooked to perfection, and the sausage fantastic. I also loved the fact that the place was crowded with locals who are very dedicated. It's small but great. I may go back tomorrow!

just had lunch there today. nothing out of this world, just a hole in the wall that serves greasy-good american food. Had the chicken philly sandwich, they put sooo much cheese on it. all their beers are priced pretty cheap, if you work in pinecrest/dadeland area, doesnt seem like a bad place to just sit down in a booth and drink beers with your buddies after work.

This place is pretty good for breakfast. My only gripe is that the waitresses are rude and make me feel like they hate me. Someone told me that that was just part of the scene, like an old timey western diner with "tell it like it is waitresses", but it just makes me uncomfortable. Also the seating is limited and if you go on a Sunday you will have to wait forever.

Was given the recommendation by a friend that claimed it was better than Cracker Barrel. I said "What?!" so I had to try it. The atmosphere is truly like stepping back in time to what Miami was before my people (Cubans) showed up. Very country, very friendly, very good. The food was on par with Cracker Barrel's food for breakfast. I am giving it 4 stars just because if you are concerned with cleanliness, this might not be your place. The place is visually clean, but its been around so long that there are a lot of grimy spots. Without that though you loose the character of the place. I had french toast and my son had pancakes. I tried their biscuits with sausage gravy as well. The food was great!

The food is pretty good but the atmosphere is even better. it gives a real diner feel and the service is friendly and great. Each waitress is the perfect as the western diner honey with crackly voice and super nice attitude and accent. The prices have gotten higher however.

I have been to Wagon's West 3 times now. once for dinner and twice for lunch. I had a turkey dinner and it was forgettable. One lunch I had pancakes and they were pretty good. The second lunch I had an omelette with home fries. Both were tasteless. I left most of it. The english muffin was ok, but that was about it. My lunch guest left most of her scrambled eggs too. service was slow. I doubt if I'll go back; there are better places to eat.

By far one of my favorite places to go when I am treating myself to great old fashioned breakfast! The ambience is rustic and wooden, the people are smiling and warm, and the food tastes like its homecooked. If you are going on a Saturday show up early because people will wait as long as it takes for one of those coveted booths to free up. However, if you don't mind sitting at the counter (ladies) they have mounted purse hooks right underneath so you never lose any elbow room. (Big plus!)

This is an American diner/breakfast/ lunch type of place. Or if you're coming in around noon, it's also good for brunch but don't expect a slice of cantaloupe or complimentary mimosas with your eggs, princess. Expect, instead, wisecracking waitresses who are always in the weeds and audible cooks with potty-mouths rivaled only by a desperate Bob Saget stand-up special. Which is kind of charming to a laidback chick trying to get some hangover grub in Pinecrest. I always get the club (with a side of sweet potato fries) because I can be kind of boring like that sometimes (I was once called out by a Subway "sandwich artist" - who liked to wear his visor backwards and popped to the side - once in college for ordering the same sandwich over and over and over again, needless to say, I never returned after that). But one bite of their banana nut pancakes, French toast, or the crab cakes benedict and you'll know that a lot of effort went into the food. Also, there's no uncomfortable free standing tables in the middle of this restaurant - just a central bar where solo people can sip on coffee and not feel like losers for dining alone - which I like because it eliminates any kind of awkwardness.

Went to Wagon's West for Sunday breakfast and it is everything it advertises. It is a diner that serves up delicious breakfast items in big portions. My party ordered the wagon west steak and eggs benedict and french toast to share. The eggs benedict was huge stuffed with skirt steak prepared nicely along with potatoes and onions. The french toast was good, but nothing special. However, what makes the place great is that how out of place it is in Miami. Its hard to find a true diner experience in Miami and this a hidden gem. Probably not worth going out of your way for, but not a bad place to find yourself especially for breakfast.

Here's what I loved about Wagons West: Greetings: Each person coming through the door got one. Regulars: Good restaurants have a bunch and the waitstaff recognize them, remember all their preferences and ask about their families. This was certainly evident today. Orange marmalade: Lots of restaurants that serve breakfast don't have it. It's a small touch, but I noticed. Eggs: We arrived at lunchtime, but luckily breakfast is served all day at Wagons West. The eggs were done perfectly, the bacon crisp perfection and the toast was a crunchy, buttery delight generously slathered with the marmalade mentioned earlier. Pork chops: Chunks of moist porky deliciousness with just a touch of the right seasoning. All this and walls covered with kitschy clutter too. What I didn't love about Wagons West: They're Gator fans (Go Canes) Overall assessment: I'm glad I came ~ Two thumbs way up!

I love a good diner. Wagon's West is one of my favorite places to have a meal and do some people watching. I tend to not like things too fancy or foofoo. Wagon's West will certainly never be accused of being frilly! This place is a down home, honest to goodness diner stuck in a strip-mall. You may drive past it a few times before you see it. Inside it's all low key. The place looks like it hasn't been touched in 20 years. I know some of the reviewers are down on the Wagon because its dated. I think I like it exactly because of that. The waitstaff gets tons of regulars so they know many faces, names and even orders. I dig that. I haven't been coming enough for me to feel like Norm but I am always greeted and treated well. Once you get them talking you will realize that many have been there for years. Turnover is just not that often. They seem more like family than co-workers. The food is always good. Breakfast is served all day. Dinner starts at 4pm. They close at 9pm My usual is a big veggie omelette, home fries, rye toast and coffee; if I am in a breakfast mood. The omelette is very good. The home fries are always hot, rye toast is yum, and the coffee keeps coming. My dinner meal is the veggie burger with fries. The burger is nice with a slice of cheese, served with tomatoes, onions and lettuce. The fries are delicious. Hot and crispy salty. If you want some real food, at good prices, you can't go wrong here. The place gets slammed on the weekends so be ready to wait a bit.

Great silver dollar pancakes for kids and good omelettes. Space is very tight in the bathrooms - so beware!

Wagons West has been around forever. It's a great place to go on a weekend. Great down home cooking and very friendly atmosphere. I sat at the counter and Nancy out waitress was friendly and efficient. Service was quick and my coffee was always full. But bring your patience because the wait can be long. Of course. Everyone goes there. I had the eggs Benedict. Very good but a little on the cool side. They have a great kids menu for a great price.

I'm a sucker for a Bfast dive, and this is exactly that. This place was built to alleviate your hangover, they even have beer on draft to help Medicate said Hangover. Portions are outlandish, decor hasn't been changed in what looks like decades, which I love. If you live in the pinecrest Dadeland area this is your spot, make it a regular choice.

I had always seen Wagon's West but had never gone in until two Sunday's ago. When we walked in there was an older lady sitting by the counter who was serving as hostess, she took our name and told us it'd be about 15 minutes for a table. We waited about that long outside before being called in. The restaurant, which you can tell just by looking at it, has been around for years, its pretty dark inside and I think I prefer it being that way because of some dust that was slightly visible on the light fixtures etc.., Our waitress was very nice, she handed us the menus and asked for our drink orders with a smile on her face even with the restaurant being pretty busy. We all ordered the Wagons West Special which is three eggs, home fries, ham, green peppers, onions and your choice of cheese with a side of toast or biscuit. We chose over easy fried eggs, American cheese and the biscuits. When the plates arrived to the table we immediately noticed how huge they were, I think one plate is enough for two people to share, but we dug into our individual plates and devoured as much as we could (I think we did pretty well.) The biscuits were homemade, flaky, buttery, great! The eggs were cooked to order and the potato mix had that grill top taste to it, quite tasty. Would I return? If I am back in the area I think I would. It's not the best breakfast in Miami but if you're looking for some fast home style cooking then this place is a good one to try.

Very nice location, felt like home restaurant. Short wait for a Sunday morning breakfast/brunch. Had chairs on the outside with coffee and water for those that waited. The food was very fresh and a good size portion. Our pancakes and French toast were cooked to perfection and would definitely return for their food and service. Their staff were on point and very nice.

I've dined in and out of this places for almost a decade now. (I can't beliece I've never written them a review!) This is the perfect place to grab breakfast or brunch on a lazy Sunday. Everyone is friendly and sweet. Portions are very generous, as well! When I have corn beef hash cravings, you'd find me here. Keep up the good work!!!

Food is always "solid". I have had breakfast there several times. Tough to screw up eggs I really like the hash browns and corned beef hash. Same waitress the last few times. She is a sweetheart.

Such a cute spot doesn't feel like Miami. I had the Greek omelette. It was pretty good. Couldn't taste much of the fetta cheese that was on it. Great service. Good breakfast. Going back for lunch soon.

This is the first time I've been to this restaurant since I moved away from Florida 6 years ago. It was okay. We had a long wait after being told that our party of 4 would take 20 mins to be seated. It took about 45 minutes. We squeezed into a booth because we didn't want to wait any longer. We ordered our food right away, and the waitress brought our drinks right out. Our food on the other hand was a different story. It took forever! And when our food came, it was overcooked and hard. My corn beef hash was actually burnt. The pancakes were hard and the eggs were dry. This is not the experience I remember from years ago. Pricing has also gone up to cost over 10 per person. 4 of us ate and it was $51 not including the tip. Not sure I'll be back the next time I visit.

I have always had a great experience at Wagons West. Every time I have walked in there I was always greeted. The service is really good and there waiters are really nice. The food is pretty good for a decent price. Great atmosphere! I really enjoy coming to this restaurant.

Wow, wow, wow! I'm extremely grateful I ran in to this little gem! I found my new all-day breakfast spot. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, it was amazing! The crab cakes were cooked perfectly to a nice crispy golden brown finish. I asked our server what she recommended on the side and she said has browns well done! These were also amazing! My wife ordered the Banana Pancake meal. The pancakes were delicious. We had some fresh squeezed OJ, and coffee. Overall a cozy little spot, amazing food, and not so bad prices. The only downfall was the wait. We waited about 45 minutes and service was a little crazy because our server had like 5 tables. That still doesn't deter me from recommending the spot all day! It will be an experience! Also check out their Yelp deals. You're welcome.

Been going there for years. 80% lunch, 20% breakfasts over 20 or more years. Lunch is good reliable diner food. Good service. Haven't been for breakfast for awhile. Today, Scrambled eggs rubbery and not hot. Bacon and all meats are precooked and you can see it all held in containers until ordered. Then cook, grabs the bacon, ham, sausage and puts it on plate. Not hot. Occasionally the whole pile stuck in microwave. Never realized it wasn't cooked to order. Grits and biscuit so cold that butter would not melt. Very pleasant server. I should've sent it all back.

Great food and great service. A staple in pinecrest for years because all the FOOD is HOMEMADE and the service makes you feel at home. I ordered the fried steak and the gravy and the steak was absolutely amazing ... I look forward to coming back Thanks Wagons west

This place is a staple. There's no other authentic American, grits and sausage puts hair on your chest kind of place in Miami. It's a classic, hasn't changed since I've been going there, and that's been since I was a little kid. It's got a down home charm, and it's got an epic breakfast. Love this place :)

I had the French Toast and it was horrible. It had no flavor, it was dry and it had a weird orange color to it. I didn't feel comfortable eating the food or being at this place. Will not go again ! I would rather eat rocks !

  • Nancy O.

I waited outside for 45 minutes to sit at the bar. the food took another 20 minutes. I gave my other half some kisses on the cheek while waiting patiently. When my breakfast arrived which included scrambled eggs to my surprised they threw in some egg shells with my order. No. really. There were egg shell pieces in my scrambled eggs. When I went to pay the lady at the counter made remarks about how I gave a show at the counter with my other half? Um. Maybe I have some remarks about the time I spent waiting for everything and eating egg shells.

I was very pleasantly surprised. After avoiding the restaurant for probably 20 years, because I remember GREASY EVERYTHING, I decided,( based on Yelp reviews) ,to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. From the moment I walked in and was warmly greeted by no less than three people from the cashier to 'someone' else (may have been a customer but she sure was friendly), to the waitress offering excellent suggestions and never allowing my (good) coffee cup to empty, I decided on the eggs Benedict and as I checked in, I discovered a Yelp check in offer of $5 off a $10. purchase. I asked if I could apply it to that meal and they said yes! Score!! My eggs and hash browns were delicious and decidedly NOT greasy. l want to go back and explore the lunch menu and maybe even dinner. Another Yelper mentioned that there aren't a lot of 'healthy' suggestions. True, it impresses me of more of a comfort food emporium but there are salads and veggies to accompany lunches and dinners and I expect I one could pull off a nutritious (read guilt-free) meal. Disclaimer: I was coming from a three hour sort of boring poll training class and I thought some comfort food would make me feel a lot better... I can rationalize anything, Can't I?

Prices are outlandish - 3.75 for glass if orange juice Sat at the counter guy at register is eating in my face Lady gets there and asks me to move over so she can eat because she's going to be working Lost it paid without eating and left

Down home and friendly diner food. Breakfast all day, what could possibly go wrong? Knowing that we had a big dinner ahead, my Dad and I split a Reuben with a side of the sweet potato fries. The Reuben was excellent, especially with some added mustard. The fries were just okay - clearly not made in the store, they were probably frozen right before they went into the fryer. No worries, some ketchup and done! Our friend had the cheese omelet and he enjoyed all but the grits. Northerners, amirite? Good food, good fast service. I'm a fan!

I have been eating here since I was little, my mom would bring me here. And yes it was always dark inside and you could never really see how dirty the place was. But the place is filthy for being in a neighborhood like pine crest and to be so dirty. I don't know how inspectors don't shut this place down. This place needs to be cleaned and gutted. The tiles on the ceiling has so much mold and fungus it is disgusting. The bread racks where they have the bread on in plane site are covered in mold. Such a shame they have been open forever and never put any money into this place. Such a shame because they are in a great location even the mail they are in has been remodeled around them and they stayed the same. The staff is still great they still treat you with respect. BUT THIS PLACE NEEDS A REAL GOOD CLEANING. I WILL NOT BE BACK UNTIL SOMEONE TELLS ME SO. SORRY BUT THIS PLACE IS A WASTE OF TIME. UNLESS YOU LIKE A STOMACH ACHES AND PAINS

In the.past I have enjoyed this place. This.morning it wasnt so great. My husband said he won't return. I will give it one more shot. I'm wondering if they have a new.cook...The service is always good and the prices are fair too. Dont take my word for it. Give it a try. You might like it.

My boyfriend and I came here on a late Monday. No line outside but I had to wait 10 minutes for a table. We sat and ordered an omelet and eggs benedict with blueberry and banana pancakes. The food was pretty good and that's about it. The bad part: I had to wait 45 minutes for my meal, that's too long for some eggs and pancakes. The server was nice and he gave me my refills in a timely manner but oh man the wait. When I was ready for my bill he gave me my biscuits and gravy I ordered. I totally forgot because I received them while I was leaving and had to get it to go. The bill was $48!! How is this possible for some simple breakfast? I went to Crackle Barrel and ate much more food and it was $30. I know this is a family owned business but c'mon now.. 2 stars for nice atmosphere and decent food, but no not coming back.

Nothing like great food, great service at a reasonable cost. Sat at the counter and enjoyed the view of a kitchen at work. Had the biscuits and gravy, with eggs, Potatos and a side of bacon. Great comfort food done right. The service was great too!!! This is a no brainer.

Craving breakfast at 2pm and we happened to come across this gem. Best greasy spoon in miami.period. The food. The ambiance. The service. Everything youd want on a laidback sunday. I had The Rachel with a side of disco fries. The seasoned fries with gravy amd cheese were amazing. My wife had the pancakes and they really are as good as the other yelpers have claimed. Will most definitely come back!

Tl;dr: I've given this place 3 stars because the lady that served us was as polite as the slug lady from Monsters, Inc. and she was as quick as a 3-legged turtle. Also, $50+ for breakfast between 3 people! It was good, but, c'mon. First off, I loved the southern/country ambiance. I didn't mind waiting 15 minutes for my Sunday brunch. Sidebar: I feel like Sunday brunch has recently become a thing for Hispanic-Americans in Miami, like, whatever happened to just going to the bakery and having pastelitos and croquetas for breakfast on Sundays. Now, the food is outstanding. I had the Wagons West Special. 3 eggs, a bucketload of potatoes, cheese, and ham. Also split some pancakes with the team, because, well, we're about that life. It was terrific and I felt like I was getting a good old-fashioned breakfast. I didn't enjoy the OJ, which they claimed was freshly juiced. It tasted like basic tropicana. I felt like I paid $3.75 for tropicana... I could've gotten a damn bottle and brought it in. Also, I would've probably gotten a refill if the waitress offered. But I'll get into that now... Let me go in on this place for its major con. I am NEVER (EVER) one to complain about service, but today, I am going to have to. I understand that we were a diverse group of people in a predominantly "light" establishment, but I felt like my boys and I were getting serviced (and getting hard looks) as if we were in Biloxi, Mississippi (circa 1960). All those little small things that you expect out of waitresses or waiters, we did not get. The lady did not get us a menu -- we grabbed one and had to share it . When she took an order she didn't look us in the face, or was not attentive... no help, or recommendations, nothing. When I asked for pancakes to split, she gave us the Kevin Hart "you don't eat a** face." She put our plates down, then picked them back up, took them back, did it twice, and then brought out everything separately, she didn't bring us utensils for a while (we started jokingly eating with our hands), and when we were all done she kept looking at us, waiting, and when she walked to the table ... she forgot the receipt. It's like she straight up did not like us. Me writing it is not doing it justice. All we did was went in there happy to try a new place. We didn't complain, because I figure a Yelp review is more powerful than a complaint. The dude in the front was friendly. So I'll just assume that she was just having a bad day and decided to take it out on us. Anywho, the place was alright. I wouldn't mind going if I wanted a good breakfast.

I come in every weekend and the food never disappoints. Lately I have been having their shrimp and grits, a brand new weekend menu item, and it is absolutely delicious. The shrimp and grits are cooked Charleston/Louisiana Bayou style, with peppers and Andouille sausage. Prior to the appearance of shrimp and grits on the menu, I would always have one of their omelets. These omelets are very big and paired with a side of home fries, you will leave here satisfied. The Sweet Tea is excellent.

I always enjoy a good, hearty American breakfast when I come here. Great menu selection of classic items and combo options that allow you to get a little bit of everything you might be craving. My go-to: the half chocolate chip Belgium waffle (yum!) with scrambled eggs and bacon and a side of potatoes and coffee. Talk about a satisfying brunch and great value. Yes, it might not be as fancy as some trendy Miami spots, but this establishment has earned its stay and has regular customers that keep coming back for more.

This is not a great place: the place is cramped and crowded and the a/c is not working properly. As for the food, the prices are relatively high and the food quality is below average. My steak was rare as I ordered it, but was so charred and tasted burned. Not likely to return anytime soon! On a positive note, our waitress was friendly and eager to help.

The service is good but the menu selection and food quality need some improvements and the place is long overdue for some paint, a new ceiling and a remodeling.

  • Jackie S.

This place is small and dark. The crowd is definitely local and the servers have a few cobwebs on them. I wouldn't say the service is bad just unfriendly. Meal wise I ordered half and omelet (yes you can do have 1/2 orders here - brownie point) and I shared pancakes and home fries with my sister in law. The food was decent but in the previous reviews I read, everyone commented on how good the eggs were. Plain old eggs to me...maybe I missed something? All in all good country style breakfast, nothing to praise, nothing to complain about.

Food is great ... Service is ok but I went by myself the other day in the middle of the week ... Sat in the counter area and was uncomfortable, so I told them I would wait for a table/booth. They told me I couldn't sit in a booth because I was alone. I won't go there again alone or with company.

Saturday is Quesadilla special day at Wagon's West, but not available for lunch. Waiter recommended "blackened dolphin Reuben" and it was great, give this invention a try. Other fare well done, good friendly service.

Wagon's West is a great place for comfort food. I liked that the booth was up off of the floor. The coffee was good and they kept offering more. The eggs were cooked exactly as ordered, over easy. The French toast was not bad. It was made with thick white bread and dusted with powdered sugar. The turkey sausage patties came a few minutes later and were hot and yummy. It was nice to actually enjoy our conversation for a while without being rushed out.

Gross. Went in and sat at the counter. Ordered breakfast then observed the cook touch his nasty dirty sweaty baseball cap and apron and then proceed to touch the food. To top it off I observed a waitress grab cash from a paid bill then with that same, now dirty hand, reach and grab a slice of bread to serve. We ended up canceling our order and walked out.

I just left wagon's west. I ate crab cakes Benedict and let me tell you it was delicious five out of five if there's a five out of 10 I would've rated it that

horrible customer service. i went on the weekend for brunch. i gave my name etc, they called me, saw just me (8mo pregnant, my husband was getting the toddler out of the car, parked right in front of the door) and sat me. the bus boy came after 30 seconds and asked me if i was waiting for anyone. i said yes, they were just coming inside. he said their policy was to sit the whole party. i said, really, there was no policy up front by the hostess, i told her party of 3 and she sat just me. well, he came back and told me i had to get up immediately, that the hostess had said so. as i'm walking out, my husband is already getting past the server with our daughter. but nevertheless, they proceeding to sit down a very young and able-bodied couple. needless to say, i will not be going back to a "family style" breakfast place who kicked out an 8 month pregnant woman from the table.

I was looking for a fairly quick service breakfast spot since I was with my toddler and the yelp deal pulled me into this place. I saw some negative comments about the service but my experience was nothing but excellent! Vanessa was so sweet and treated us like regulars. The food came out quickly which is key when trying to you're running out of ideas to keep the little one entertained. My denver omelet was good enough (veggies were still pretty hard & in chunks) and the fruit could have been more ripe but overall nothing crazy. This might sound crazy but the buttered toast was actually really good. My daughter had 2 eggs scrambled and did not leave a morsel behind so it must have been good by her standards!

Came here with my nephew and we ordered steaks and meatloaf. I like the taste of their steak here. The omelettes they have here are good as well. THe place is nice and clean, as for the service not that fast but good. Nice and friendly crew. Will surely drop by again and this time with my friends.

Woke up hungover with a fierce desire for some fried chicken, mashed 'taters and corn. With gravy of course. This was the one place me and my trusted friend could think to eat at that would serve me my delicious dream. Walked in. Sat down. The menu said "Fried Chicken Dinner." I asked; "with mashed potatoes?" "Yes" "and corn" "yes" and it was as if this place was made to feed me perfection.

If only I could cook egg's as perfect as the one's I had. Wagon's West is totally a great breakfast spot, you got great service from surly waitstaff (always fun to be insulted early in the morn). The best short order cooks, and basic food, nutted fancy. I read Michelle C' review and I didn't order the French Toast, I'll just call Alton and have him come over one morning to cook me some (thank's in advance Alton, your a new pal) but, I did order the Sausage gravy on biscuit and an over easy egg. I was never a big fan of sausage gravy, but I'm now a fan of there's, it was nothing I expected, creamy, silky, and no floury taste. The egg was perfectly cooked, I can't say any more. This is just a good home style place!

I don't know why, but I really loved this place. It is a normal breakfast place, but what sets it apart is the freshness and quality of everything. It's an extremely comfortable atmosphere, and if you order tea, they bring over a tea box filled with all sorts! They also have mismatching mugs and plates and things, which I like even more. They don't use egg beaters, and they have a large breakfast menu. I'm excited to try their lunch and dinner.

Scrambled eggs have NO flavor---how is it possible to mess up scrambled eggs? BLAND, BLAND, BLAND. And their biscuits and gravy were, well.....gross. Boooooooo! Quality has definitley gone down over the years. Sad because we have a scarcity on good breakfast places in town....

Who charges $12.99 for Chicken Fried Steak dinner and serves INSTANT mashed potatoes?! Years ago they charged $8.99 and were instant back then too. I expect more from a down-home diner.

Great down-home American diner. Feels comfortable and familiar from the time you enter till the time you leave. Service is great with fun loving yet hard working servers. Food is delicious, like mom used to make, but somehow better! Really enjoyed the farmers omelette (picture of this in the photos section of their yelp page). Girlfriend had the egg sandwich with bacon and cheese and pancakes on the side. These folks know their way around pancakes! All in all great place to go for a great, reasonably priced home cooked meal.

I wish I could give this place half a star 'cause that's really all that it deserves. I went Sunday, May 15 with a group of 5 and a baby for breakfast and I was not the least bit impressed with anything. The waitress was a bitch and didn't exactly have the best attitude towards us. She didn't ask for our drinks order she just came by and asked for complete orders. Which could be seen as picky but I was a waitress for a while and it was just rude to me. The Food: Good - The sausage patties were amazing, I gotta give them that. I ordered chocolate milk and it tasted like a cheap version of chocolate McArther. For that I would of made some myself. Eggs- They had grease all over them, they didn't even look fully cooked so I didn't eat them. (This wasn't only my eggs but two of the people who were in my party) And those Grits, I don't know how someone could mess up grits! They tasted like crap and didn't exactly look the part either. Sigh, it's safe to say that I'll never go back. Least the place was cute looking. I'll stick to Chuck Wagon from now on!

The service was incredible! Everyone was extremely friendly from the moment we walked in. The owner came over, chatted with us, cracked some jokes. It's definitely a laid back country diner, it's a nice break from the Miami lifestyle. The food was delivered to us quickly and it was delicious. We had the ribs and dolphin sandwich, they were definitely a lot better than Flanigan's down the street. I can't wait to go try the breakfast! They definitely have a new regular with me. Couldn't get enough of it. Overall, it was awesome!!

This is a local, neighborhood old-styled restaurant in a strip-mall at SW 112 Ave & US-1. It has the best breakfast anywhere in town (and the best service!). The prices are extremely reasonable (great breakfast specials before 11:30 a.m.). You can get eggs, toast, fruit/grits/potatos, coffee and juice for around $6 (add a little for meats). The eggs are perfectly cooked to order, and the service is always fantastic. I have never had anything but breakfast here, so I can't speak for lunch or dinner, but they also serve those. It's an old fashioned place, with a counter and stools in the middle, and several booths along the wall - it's a fun place to eat - very friendly atmosphere. Again, the service is exceptional.

It is surprisingly tough to find a great greasy spoon diner breakfast ... these are the essential criteria: 1) Plentiful coffee 2) Tasty Home Fries (usually including onions) 3) Good bacon / sausage 4) Speedy service I recently tried S&S Diner, and was sadly disappointed by the complete lack of food on my plate there. But Wagons West provided the best breakfast I have had in Miami. The eggs (over-easy) were perfect, the sausage was delicious, and the home fries were simply perfect, with onions and a mix of different sized potato chunks. Moreover, I brought my three young children, and the pancakes delighted them. The bacon with crispy and tasty! The server was attentive, especially to the fact I had children with me ... she brought their drinks in styrofoam cups with lids and straws. Anyone with young children will appreciate that, because inevitably one of the cups will get knocked over, and it's nice to not be wearing your child's beverage. I am definitely returning to Wagons West soon.

I have been eating here as long as I can remember; and it that time hardly anything has changed. The food is still as wonderful as ever. If you are an egg person, they are great; but what I normally go with is either the pancakes or french toast. This place is exactly what I think of when someone says "diner". It's old fashion, you can watch them cook, there are random signs and notes placed where ever they felt like placing them. Simply a great place to get breakfast.

Everyone comes here, from farmers to CEOs. Wagon's West rocks. I am from the South and this is an oasis in the middle of Miami for me. The breakfasts are excellent: typical American fares like eggs, bacon and Belgian waffles. I've never had the dinners, but a friend of mine told me the corned beef hash they serve on St. Patrick's Day is the best in South Florida. I brought my husband, who is a tough critic of food and he loved it. The decor and ambiance makes you feel so comfortable and at home. Take the time to read some of the signs on the wall. Some of them are really hilarious. The best part of the restaurant is Wally, the owner. Everyone knows him, he's so nice and friendly, and he gives back to the community. I don't know why people are trashing the waitresses here; I've been there many times and have never had a problem. It's a landmark in Miami. Go here!

Sometimes you just have to take a breather, stop....take a deep breath, exhale slowly and do some self reflection. Take a good hard look at yourself. You have to come to terms with reality and face the fact that it's Friday. You're not unwinding, you're about to keel over and fall asleep in the car since you're beyond beat.. The truth is: you're about to run out of juice. You've been chugging coffee since 8am and wondering if your stomach could actually digest itself. You need to eat and have 45 mins to do so. Do something incredible, do something exciting, do something that'll make the rest of your work day a little sweeter. You're on your lunch break, your mind is burnt out, you have less than 45 mins of an intermission to do something that will give you that 1up mushroom of a chance to turn the rest of your day around. You have to 45 minutes and they just started now. Eat something incredible...Something that'll bring a smile to your face. Eat something bad, totally terrible for you, gluttonous. Free yourself of guilt or shame, you work hard and are exempt from judgment even if you guzzle down 2600 calories. Who cares? Ethel sitting over to the right eating chocolate chip pancakes? When I said I "wanted to stay healthy" for lunch I really meant to say was that I wanted to indulge in something so incredibly delicious that'd make up for all that grilled chicken and lettuce I've ingested for lunch in the past. When I saw that Wagon's West's menu had a Country fried steak sandwich, CFS, AKA chicken fried steak sandwich, AKA ticket to heaven smothered with grilled onions, in between two almost obscene buns drowned in gravy (sausage or brown) and sparkles...well I had to say "yes thank you and I'll have the potato salad as my side. I know I did something incorrect according to the greasy diner food gods by choosing brown gravy instead of sausage but so what. So what!? It was mind altering, life changing, an amazing spiritual experience. I didn't care to eat all the bread- just the parts completely soaking up the goodness.- The patty was seasoned and fried perfectly. It made cracker barrel's disgustingly delicious CFS look just grossly mediocre. Wagon's West wins at country fried steak. Potato salad was undersalted and okay. I can't review the service because i ordered to go but i've never been disappointed here since the servers are sweet and attentive just like you'd want at a tiny diner.

This place is always crowded and you should expect to wait for 15-20 mins. I always get the country fried steak with sausage gravy, over medium sunny side eggs, homefries, and wheat toasts. This costs about ten bucks. This is amazing and probably the best value. This one dish is the reason why I keep coming back. The rest of the food is pretty expensive. The waffles are good but pricey at about eight bucks for half a waffle with some sides. The bacon is delicious thick cut bacon but it's super expensive (five bucks as a side order). The fried catfish is really good with tartar sauce (you have to ask for it).

Nice country diner feel in a strip mall, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. It's a small place with a laid-back feel: Tall wooden booths and seating at the counter, fun decorations. Standard diner-fare style, with decent enough coffee and good service. I do breakfast here, as the food is a reasonable price, plentiful, and delicious. Next time I'll be trying out the sandwiches, though, as there are a variety. Taking a bite off the smoked turkey sandwich my cousin had yesterday was darn good. The folks that hang out here are regulars and families, a diverse and nice group of folks. I'd like to come here to watch sports in the future, as there is alcohol and a big-screen.

Fun place but nothing special. I was here for breakfast with the lady The pancakes were fine but a bit doughy. The decor is fun, Old West style and the whole place is small and cozy. Might be interesting to saddle up at the bar for some happy hour brews.

Don't get the french toast. Maybe I shouldn't have taken off a star for that. I am yet to go ANYWHERE that does french toast well. Since I started using Alton Brown's recipee for French Toast from GOOD EATS, I can't order it at a restaraunt. It just doesn't compare. Everything else is still wonderful.

For greasy spoon, diner fare, it's fine. Service is a mixed bag - some servers treat you like family, while others ignore you completely. Once I ate waffles at the bar next to OJ Simpson. True story.

Nice Western décor atmosphere !! I drove by this diner for about a year before I decided, to give Wagon's West a try...I love American Diners !! I had country fried chicken with homemade mashed potatoes Awesome !! My wife tried the Catfish dinner, both of us were satisfied. I feel that the prices were a little above average diners that I have eaten before. Our tab was $35.00 without a beer or including tip. I would return to Wagon's West in the future, the staff and Owner are friendly and the Diner well established.

I have been eating at Wagon's West ever since I used to skip 1st period English, and have a "Long Breakfast" here before heading into Palmetto Senior High in time for Homeroom, and Attendance, so my parents didn't get "The Call." Ahh, Memories. Wagon's West is a home cookin' breakfast place, tucked in the Suniland strip mall. This is your place to get Biscuits 'n Gravy, or Over Medium Eggs with breakfast potatoes and toast. Pancakes and Bacon. Huge Omelettes. It's a basic, no-frills, country styled breakfast done right. They do not offer Real Maple Syrup, which bugs me, so I don't get the pancakes. But most of their customers probably don't have a problem with Mrs. Butterworth. The decor is dark wood, with a good amount of kitsch, including funny signs, old photos of Miami landmarks, and country-ish chotzkies. Wagon's West has been around forever, and offers lots of memories and nostalgia for us Pinecrest Locals. Add in a decent meal at a good price, and there ya go.

I went into Wagons West while in Miami after missing a flight. I was hungry. I had a very yummy bowl of old fashioned oatmeal which I loved!! :) My friend and I shared a short stack of silver dollar chocolate chip pancakes and they were delicious!! My friend had the Nova Benedict and said it was over all a bad breakfast!! Salmon was fishy and salty, hollandaise sauce was just ok! And he was over all not impressed. We had a very friendly staff and our food came in prompt timing. I would not recomind the fruit bowl. I would say small and spoiled.. I gave Wagons West three out of five sears because they were over all good. I would try another place in miami before returning.

Damn good spot for some good ole American Country style breakfast! I've been here a couple of times and the waitresses are very friendly and the food is delicious. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I still think that Chuck Wagon still holds the crown in this genre of food...but Wagons West is closer to me so that keeps me coming back. Thats not to say that Wagons West is sub par though....its outstanding.

This is probably one of the only places in the MIA that you can get a "good ol' breakfast." They have really good country fried steak! The servings are plentiful. The coffee is fresh and bold. The service is friendly and fast. The restaurant has a very southern feel.

Ate breakfast here for the first time today. Service was good but the food was nothing special... and I ordered the breakfast "special". Will stick with Walter's. Potatoes were mushy and tasted as if they were made a few days prior to my visit. The only thing that was really good was the toasted bagel with cream cheese - and I can make that at home for 1/10th of what my total bill was. BTW - It looks like a bar. Who eats breakfast in a BAR?!? I will not be back. /is confused by good reviews. //do some people really not know how to scramble their own eggs? ///loves me some slashies...

Been there many times. We know there is a wait as in many Miami restaurants. But this tiny location does wonders sitting almost everyone. And the food is very good. I have never had anything greasy???? Please , I hop and cheesecake aren't either? The food is good fresh and yummy, things we can't get in all other places like grits or waffles or country fried steak. Staff is friendly and pretty fast. I go Saturday and I get seated fed and served in an hour. I wait outside many times at most 20 minutes. It's my place for a country breakfast. If you want a healthy calorie breakfast right down the road is Whole Foods, plenty of nuts and berries there.

Classic diner fare with good atmosphere and service. I enjoyed a breakfast special with ample portions of eggs, corned beef hash, fruit, toast, juice and coffee for under $10, plus I had a yelp deal to cut the price in half.

The food was pretty decent and the menu had lots of options. I got the french toast and it was delicious. But there wasn't anything special about it. Personally, I was not a fan of the fact that the syrup was a regular bottle of log cabin brand. My husband got the "Wagons West Special" which is a GIANT MOUNTAIN of potatoes with eggs on top and a little peppers, ham, and onions mixed in. The potatoes were way too big and mushy to be considered homefries, in my opinion, and the portion size didn't really make up for the mediocrity of taste on this one. The atmosphere was, as you may have guess, a western theme. I'm not a huge fan of themes in general, and these guys seem to take particular advantage of the western mustiness and browns. Everything around our table and on the walls was very dusty. I can get over most of this, but what really killed it for me was the service. When we walked in no one told us where to sit. There were three employees hanging around at the front but they didn't really acknowledge us. Our waitress took our order and dropped off the check, but thats it. No refills, no to go boxes. I'm usually VERY lenient with people who have to wait tables because I know how hard it can be, but the place was far from busy and this girl was mostly hanging around the back talking to other employees. There were other employees (possibly owners?) who were conversing loudly and arguing with each other. This was just kind of uncomfortable for us. Also, one of the employees yelled at a couple who forgot their to-go bag. She held the door open and leaned out to the street shouting for all outside and inside to hear "What do you think they call it a to-go bag for?!" At first I thought this was a joke, or maybe these were regular customers, but they did not look amused when they returned and the employee didn't look like she was joking around. All in all, we love to try new places but this one is ok to pass by.

I was just here today with my kids. My daughter had the chili cheeseburger and she loved it. I had the farmers omelet and I loved it, my son had a cheeseburger - nothing to rave about for $8.75. Overall service was good; though I had to get up and get my menu - but no big deal. However, as we were getting ready to leave, the table behind us where two gentlemen were sitting seemed to be complaining about the long wait for their food and apparently having to order the same dish more than once as it wasn't coming out right.... How do I know? the cook came out to argue with the customer! It's a small place - everybody around knew what was going on.... until one of the staff, a lady, had to get in the middle of the Cook and customer and told the cook to stop and practically push him away from the customer! VERY INAPPROPRIATE! What ever happened to customer service! What ever happened to making the customer happy.... I was uncomfortable for the customer. For that reason, and since the food was enjoyable but nothing to really rave about, I don't care to try again.

I've deducted a point away from a perfect rating for each of these 2 reasons: 1. While I love going to brunch here on the weekends, there is always a wait... and really the only place to wait for a table is outside, in the heat. If you're lucky you get to be one of a few people who get to sit outside on a tiny bench, but otherwise you're stuck standing around in the heat. Not fun. 2. This place is a dive, and like most great dives it doesn't leave you feeling like you're in the cleanest place to eat. I am a fan of clean. BUT, overall this place is great... really great. And the wait staff is really friendly. And the breakfast food is awesome home cooked goodness.

Am so disappointed-husband remembered Wagons West having great nachos-um no-it was just stale doritos with melted cheese on them I could have made a better version at home. It is great from an old-timey nostalgia point but it simply isn't that amazing. I am sure the breakfast food is probably decent but I went expecting nachos.

I was torn between 3.5 and 4 but I think that all in all this place is more of beloved southern Miami institution. The place has character in the form of signs all over the place. Service is friendly and familiar but rather slow. I had the much hyped and yelped pancakes, banana nut to be exact for all those inquiring minds. I also ordered a side of bacon and my breakfast companion had the crab cake benedict. While the pancakes were good, they were also heavier than the usual. The bacon was crisp but not burnt and it was close to perfect. This joint seems popular with the families and it's easy to see why with it's casual demeanor and low key, friendly staff. Please note: We asked for maple syrup and our friendly server informed us that it would cost an extra $5. I say give us the choice and let us pay more for what we really want.

Thank God for Wagon's West! I say this because it seems like in Miami there are a lot of options, but for the same things. We have Cuban breakfast, Fancy Brunches and the chains like Denny's all over the place. Wagons West feels like such a great in between niche when the budget can't handle brunch but you can't possibly eat another mass produced pancake! The place is quirky and the people aren't overly nice, but they get the job done. The job being giving me a breakfast that I'll remember all the way through dinner; that's what Wagon's West did for me today! Farmer's Omelet with cheddar cheese, yum! The service wasn't bad, but like I said, the people here aren't overly friendly, although a lot of regulars seemed to have conversations going with some of the staff. I'll be back there soon, maybe for dinner. They recently announced they are open until 9pm for dinner.

Sorry guys, but I'm going to have to disagree with the majority of my fellow yelpers :-| The only thing that I was smitten about was our lovely waitress who looked like she walked straight out of a 50's movie (probably lived through them too) and gave it an authentic diner-esque feel with her 'sweethearts' and 'darlings'. Having worked at diners for a while I have to say the food left a lot to be desired, perhaps because I've never been there for breakfast (which I'll make a point of trying someday), but the melts that we had were dry and stale, not satisfactory at all. I do enjoy the environment, the booths are a lot of fun to sit on, they make you feel like a little kid again. I will go back and try their breakfast, so far I was definitely not impressed with the rest.

Went here recently for breakfast on a Sunday around noon. There was just 2 of us so we were seated right away at the counter in front of all the action. If you are a germaphobe type of person, don't watch them prepare your food, that's all I gotta say... I just think their methods of preparation add to the taste and ambiance ;) I ordered a breakfast sandwich of eggs and ham on a bagel with a side of home fries. The sandwich was delicious!! The smokey flavor of the ham is what really made it. The home fries were OK, a very generous portion. I really like the flavor of the small pieces of onion with the potatoes, but I like my potatoes with a little crispiness, and these had no crisp. My boyfriend had plain pancakes with smoked sausage and loved it. I will definitely go here again!

The food is always fresh and delicious. Home cooking style so mostly everything is deep fried or buttered up. but i still love it all. The employees are usually kind and helpful. I've mostly been here for breakfast but had dinner the other day, fried chicken, and i was very pleased. It's a good and better alternative to ihop or dennys when you wanted breakfast and free refils on your coffee.

We were in the area and decided to eat here. Seems kind of hidden among all the rest of the restaurants in this plaza. We started with onion rings and hush puppies. The onion rings had a nice batter rather than a breading. I liked the nice crisp without the sogginess you get sometimes from battered rings. The hush puppies were pretty good and fairly small compared to others I've had. It came with a pickle, relish, and mayo mixture/sauce which was surprisingly tasty. The spaghetti and meatballs were OK. It had a nice hint of basil, but otherwise almost seemed like from the jar sauce. The best part was actually the vegetable soup it came with. It was very flavorful (not watered down). Seemed like it was made from a beef broth. It had carrots, beans, lima beans, onion, celery, and I think I saw zucchini (not sure what it was). I ordered meatloaf madness sandwich. I've never seen a meatloaf sandwich on a menu, so I had to order it. It was actually pretty awesome. Almost like an awesome BBQ and bacon burger, just a little juicer. The fries were exactly how my fiancee likes it which is slightly fried outside and more mushy on the inside (I prefer really crunchy and more fried). The place seems full of regulars. The waitress seemed to know everyone that came in. She was friendly, but slow. I think she just couldn't handle all the tables, but it also seemed like she gave more attention to the tables of the regulars. If your in the area and in the mood for some good 'ol fashioned comfort food, I would check this place out.

I love a good breakfast and consider breakfast to be my favorite meal of the day. So with that said, Wagon's West is one of my longtime favorite breakfast places around town. I've been going there since I was a kid with my dad. And the restaurant pretty much looks the way it did when I was a kid, which gives it character. They are located in a strip mall in Pinecrest and serve breakfast, lunch and I think now dinner. I can only speak for their breakfast, though. And there's almost always a crowd of people outside waiting for a table. The wait has never been too crazy, though, thankfully. You can eat at a booth or at the counter. I always enjoy having breakfast there. Heck, I've been there the last two weekends. Their menu has all of the usual breakfast items. And my picks for breakfast there tend to either be the eggs/bacon/fresh fruit/toast or the corned beef hash/eggs/fresh fruit. So if you happen to be looking for a solid, satisfying, no frills breakfast, then I definitely recommend this place. If you ask me, it's breakfast done right!

I can't even bring myself to give this place 1 star, but Yelp requires me to. The service was absolutely the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress was rude, and would literally laugh in our faces when we'd ask her about items on the menu. We asked another employee for a napkin and he waved his hand at us as he walked on by. I will never set foot in that place again. Mind you, it's Mother's Day and I was with both my kids and my hubby.

I love this place, my favorite mid week breakfast spot. I definitely go here at least once a week. The food is diner food, exactly what you should expect. The breakfast is great. The corned beef hash is canned, which is ehhh, but the crust they create on it when heating it is amazing! Usually always have perfectly poached eggs, and the bacon is fantastic+ I love how they have different coffee cups, no two the same. Strawberry banana pancakes are highly recommended, they also pile it on the French toast. The service is lackluster, but that's something to get used to. Most of the servers are the same from when I first started going there. They get you what you need when you need it. This is a good place to go if you love some rough around the edges, good home cooking.

Bottom Line: Nice greasy Unhealthy food for a decent price. Pros: Unique Southern Cowboyish type restaurant. Deli style food (think more of the Denny's-Ihop style). Cons: It's only really good for breakfast/brunch style food. It's all pretty unhealthy so don't expect gourmet stuff.

Why do people in Miami have no clue of what makes a good breakfast or good BBQ restaurant? Between this place, Roaster's and Toaster's, and Bagel Emporium I thought at least 1 would be good with the kind of reviews they seem to get. None of them hold a candle to place far less expensive. Original Pancake House. We waited to be seated at Wagon's West for nearly 30 minutes. Once we got seated, we were put in an excessively uncomfortable booth. Service was bad, we almost never got refills, both our waters had black stuff in it, and my friend's tea had a crumbled straw wrapper in the bottom. Things got worse from there. I ordered pancakes and eggs, neither were any better than what you can probably get in a McDonald's McGriddle or something equally awful. I'm not what you would call "health conscious" but this was far beyond that. Everything was extremely greasy (not sure how you can make plain scrambled eggs this greasy), and really not very flavorful. If I'm going to clog my arteries I'd at least like to get the benefit of a great meal. Wagon's West only provided the clogged arteries unfortunately. The only reason this wasn't a 1 star is because Bagel Emporium set the bar so low for breakfast food down here, that it can really only go up from there. If you want good breakfast food make the drive out to Kendall to the Original Pancake House, or 1 of their other locations. Green Street and Deli Lane are also better for breakfast than this place.

I had a coupon for this place that said "$25 off $35 or more - tax and gratuity added PRIOR to discount" and they were bitches about doing that. I had to purchase two pieces of pie just to use it. I may have gone back but after that I won't bother.

Food is never bad here. The omelets are HUGE and the country smoked sausage is AWESOME, juicy, flavorful, intensely good. My boyfriend says the Corned Beef Hash is mediocre. The decor is definitely a hodgepodge of random funny, family, country things with a giant wagon wheel crammed in the center of it all. Dark stained wood lit by authentic, antique Coca Cola lamp shades, that the owners probably bought back in the day, make it comfy. There can be a wait, which sucks in the Miami heat, and it gets hectic, because people want to eat there. Despite these things, you should try it. *Here's my two cents, BETH G: So what if the maple syrup is put out in the Log Cabin containers they bought them in? It's going to be the same if they pour it into a glass dispenser.

I went here for a cousin's birthday. It wasn't like a party with a cake in tow. It was just me and two cousins. Having said that, they took care of us like champs. I think we went on a saturday morning and of course, it was packed like a can of sardines. But the wait time was surprisingly minimal. I don't recall ever being called for a table that fast, for a place that full, ever. The cousins ordered omelettes, and I had a breakfast special with eggs, sausage, etc. Along with the sides, I had the choice of pancakes, so having read great things about their banana nut pancakes I gave them a try. I agree with Maria in calling them heavier. They would be perfect had the pancakes been like thick crepes. But the service was great, and the people never stopped coming in. The decor was also warm and unfamiliar for this hispanic boy, but I liked it.

One of the best breakfast spots in Miami! It has that country breakfast feel, great French toast, southern style sweet tea and I love the chili cheese omelet. This is a nice alternative to the more common Miami Cuban cafes, Bakeries, Denny's and I hops. Big lines in the morning, but fast service! Enjoy.

I regret taking my family here for breakfast on mothers day. The service was atrocious but let me preface that by saying that I was not expecting Ruth Chris 5 star type service here, just friendly people and the basics especially since it was mothers day! We literally had to ask our server for everything, napkins, utensils, refills & lastly baby chair; but that doesn't mean we got it. It just did not seem did not seem to click in her mind that when people are eating they will need napkins and forks etc...... The server refused to smile and only spoke one word at a time and had a generally rude disposition. Since she seemed to have disappeared for the duration of our stay, I tried to flag another member of the staff to ask a question about where to pay the bill, he looked directly into my eyes raised his hand as if to say "thats not my job" or "my table" and kept on walking!!!! When I was trying to get the baby out of the baby chair he knocked down a cup of soda and since we did not have any extra napkins (one napkin per person nerver brought more) I could not clean it up. Nobody on the staff offered to help and so we literally walked over to where they kept them towards the kitchen and got them ourselves. After a minute I just gave up and left to pay my bill. The food was ok at best, nothing special here. I am not one of those stuck up persons who expects to be treated like royalty I just wanted to have a nice time with my family. I paid my bill and even left a15 percent tip, though this will by my last check in here I dont see my or my family ever going back. Unfortunately It was like a perfect storm of bad service; I am pretty sure if we would have to gone to IHOP or Denys we would have been much better off. So If you are a masochist and consider not having to do dishes after you eat a plus by all means visit to wagons west.

This is one of my default breakfast locations. Your life is not complete until you've tried the banana nut pancakes or the crabcake benedict. The portions are gut-busters so come hungry. Come in your damn pajamas if you feel like it, the place is as casual as it gets. The service is speedy without sacrificing quality and the cooks openly yell at each other so you know they're not slacking off on your breakfast. I'm a little curious about how their no-bullshit reminders posted all around the restaurant hold up to the often uppity, pain in the ass residents of Pinecrest. I've been eating at the Wagon for 5 years and have yet to see someone get thrown out for throwing a tantrum because their toast wasn't the right color. A girl can dream, right?

I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite restaurants. Definitely my favorite when it comes to breakfast. The portions are huge. I couldn't finish what I got, which is extremely rare for me. Since my last time I've tried the meatloaf and chicken fried steak, impressing me enough to the point where I had to update my review. They were delicious and I was pleasantly surprised. I have become a regular here.

Ate breakfast this afternnoon. I had the wagons west breakfast. It was good, but next time I will order a double portion of steak. This place is better than any Ihop or dennys. It's worth checking out; although the service is slow.
