Had a craving for lasagna so I called in an order to Mario's. This spot has been here for years but undergone a couple changes in ownership/management. I loved the previous owner's version of lasagna. The current version was.... Well, it wasn't that great. It tasted very similar to what can be found in the frozen food section of a grocery store. Nothing special and not very satisfying for my tastes. On the other hand, I liked the garlic rolls. They had great garlicky flavor but you can still speak to people after eating a couple. And the dough was cooked just right - not too hard, not too soft. I haven't had Mario's pizza. May return to try it out one day.

Very disappointing in both quality of food and level of service. We ordered our food around 8 o'clock and were told it would be there in 30 minutes. That did not happen, it came in two hours. After calling several times the manager on duty offered us a refund on our food and a assured us it would be there in a few minutes, 30 minutes later it finally arrived. We had ordered via eat24 app and were told that our refund would be posted buy them the next day. It did not happen when we called eat 24 they were able to get us a 25 percent discount but not the full refund that the restaurant had originally offered. That is a shame they could not stand by what they offered but the food sucks anyway so don't bother wasting your time. Go down the road to steve's.

I have ordered different items from this spot. So far it never disappoints. I suggest trying the chicken parm. I really enjoyed the sausage parm but I would suggest asking for extra sausage. Hope you enjoy. I know I did. C

First of all it's clear that the quality of the ingredients that Mario's uses is below average. The food is cheap and it's what you should expect when you order. Tried one slice of unappetizing looking pepperoni and sausage pizza before I almost threw. Tastes like cheap pizza out of a cardboard box that came out of the freezer. Buffalo wings were disgusting as well I do not recommend getting them they were almost not edible. Fries were clearly from a frozen bag and I don't even think they make them fresh they were rock hard. The one reason I'm even giving them a star was because the cheesecake they delivered was great but the chances they Make that in house are slim to none, should have just went to publix. Mario's pizza sucks!

Mario's pizza is a old pizza joint. They have good food and they make it affordable. They also keep the staff around for along time. We order from them from time to time and occasionally come back to grab some pepperoni pizza. I have never been to there other locations but would recommend grabbing a pizza if your in a pinch.

This is like the 4th or 5th time I've ordered from Mario's (thinking they would improve every time) and I've been unsatisfied. The food is always salty which kills the experience. I've even told them to be easy with the salt twice and they didn't follow instructions. I've ordered pasta with garlic and oil twice, chicken parmesan with linguine once, and pasta with meat sauce twice..... nothing but salty and oily. They really need to change the sauce they use and their pasta portion size is scarce. I don't like Steve's Pizza or Pizza Fiore's prices but the food tastes WAY better. Guess I need to stop being cheap because I'm certainly getting low quality food from Mario's Pizza & Pasta.

This restaurant is closed and thank God when Mario decided to sell all the stores to a different operator all the quality has left town

Reminiscent of the Mario's of old, this place has excellent food with the feel of a hole in the wall type joint. Having kept the same pizza cook and some of the same waitresses that they had when they were located on biscayne boulevard (upwards of 5 years ago), the only things that have changed are the ownership and the atmosphere. The food is still wonderful and they still have the best pizza in Miami. Although they do a booming delivery business, they also have seating for dine-in. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for great pizza and a comfortable environment in the midtown/wynwood area!

Recently moving to North Miami, I have to hear all this hoopla about Steve's pizza. Don't get me wrong, I was excited like the next guy, but unfortunately, sugar-sauces just don't catch my taste-buds. Another dead weekend and I decide with another local favorite, only this time, Mario's Pizza and Pasta. Slices were average, but typical of South Florida -- thick crusts, average cheese and tomato ingredients, nothing 'wowing'. To an extent, the service was top notch and the delivery had a kind smile. I'll have to try their pastas, for next time.

My office just had Mario's Pizza & Pasta cater a celebratory lunch, and it was delicious! Our usual go-to pizza place is Papa John's, with an occasional venture to Mario the Baker thrown in, but this place wins, hands down! The pies are HUGE! Slices are New York-style - so big you have to fold them over to manage a bite! The crust is that perfect balance of chewy and crunchy. And with a little bit of the ranch dressing they brought along - HEAVEN! We also sampled the garlic rolls (Mario the Baker wins on this one, I'm afraid), chicken wings (good, but no sauce!), and fries. Overall, a great catered lunch. Hopefully, next time we have a lunch-time conference, this place will be on speed-dial!

When the delivery guy got lost for 40 minutes, the owner delivered a new order himself. Plus he said there was no charge. The food was great (penne a la vodka, chicken marsala, tiramisu).. the love shows in the cooking and the way he treats his customers.

Locally owned and operated, Mario's makes the freshest pie in the county. They deliver quickly and it always arrives piping hot. I keep it simple with cheese & pepperoni at this pizza joint. The sauce has great flavor and is light, as I prefer. I would not consider this NY style, personally, as the crust is a little thicker and softer. This is a must-try for Miami pizza afficianados!

I needed some comfort soup for a cold Miami night so I ordered the "Chicken Soup"; minutes later one of the amicable guys from the restaurant called me to say they didn't have Chicken Soup so he suggested "The Fagioli" one.... I have to say this soup it's AMAZING! So hearty, and creamy ummmm!!! with garlicky bread it's to die for! Try this one, you'll love it!!!!

I have had delivery, I think 6x's, and it always gets here sooner than expected, hot and tasty. I have had the chicken parm, the chicken is fresh and the sauce is very good IMHO. They are not skimpy with their portions and their customer service has been great. I read another review with poor delivery service and I wonder if it is from a different delivery service because as I mentioned, they deliver promptly.

I've only ordered delivery from Mario's once. While neither my family nor I found the seafood pizza we ordered any good, the garlic rolls and fried calamari we ordered were pretty decent, hence the two stars. The pizza itself was not good. Not inedible, but I couldn't enjoy it and it was no where near worth what it cost with the dryness and lack of flavor that pie had. Well, at least it WAS the prettiest pizza I've ever had. As a side note, delivery was quite slow. I will be giving Mario's another try, but I'll be avoiding the pizza.

I love Mario's! It's the go-to bar for all of the get togethers I have with my college friends. The chicken wings are the best!!

The pizza was not good the onion rings was over cooked and so was the chicken wings. Not tasty at all. I paid a lot of money for this pizza which is not worth it. Sorry, but I have to tell the truth.

Consider ordering from another location. Ordered a cheese steak. Food arrived 1/2 hour late, was burnt and had no flavor. The bun was sliced through so when I picked it up the filling slithered out. Had to scoop it back on the bun. Excess oil pooled in the corner of the container. Threw most of it out uneaten. Due to the excessive amount of grease, it wasn't fit to give to the dog.

BUYER BEWARE!! I ordered a large pepperoni pizza for delivery. I was told on the phone it is "NY Style" pizza and it would take 45minutes to a hour for delivery. An hour and fifteen minutes later my pizza came. The $12.99 pizza came to $21.09. They failed to inform me of their $5 DELIVERY CHARGE ove the phone, I would have gladly picked it up. Total rip off. When I opened the pizza it was cold, cheese was hard, and the crust was dry, hard and stale. I tipped the driver 15% for his time and effort so my total came to over $24-almost double the price of the pizza!! Very disappointed with this rip off pizza place.

Very, very good pizza. Just like nearby Steve's it can be a bit inconsistent. Ranging from okay to great. But on average, it's very good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
