If you are ever in the Kendall area and are in need of some good pizza, remember Marino's Pizza. This place is tops! Its a neighborhood pizzeria thats hidden in the Kendall Plaza west of 137th and north of Kendall drive, directly behind the Shell gas station. Besides making some delicious pizza pies this place also has one of the best garlic rolls you can eat. This place is very popular with families and sunday crowds (after church). So it tends to get busy quite a bit, but you can always call and pick it up..and while you're there be sure to say 'gratzi' to Ernesto (the owner)

Looking to sink your teeth into a tasty pie! This has to be by far the best pizza in the Kendall area, if not the entire city! I've dined at the restaurant once and I was very impressed with the service and presentation. I always get the goods delivered and it's always on time and ready to eat! You will have to reach deep into your pockets though. When it comes to pizza, Marino's is expensive - but you get what you pay for! Believe that!

This place is Mike's pizza's rival! They are in the same shopping center and are just as good! Great place for family dinners! Very polite and courteous staff.

Pizza so good, the owner eventually begins to recognize the sound of your voice on the phone, considering the amount of times you're gonna wind up ordering! Seriously great NY style pizza! A friend of mine took me here for a slice for lunch in between our college classes, and I was hooked. That was at least a decade ago, and it's still sinfully delicious!

Have been eating at Marino's for years! This place makes some tasty Italian dishes and some great pizza pie. Come for lunch, for dinner, or take out one of their huge pizzas! When in the Kendall area don't hesitate to stop by this place. Quality food at a great price.

With the quality of Pizza in Miami, I'm not THAT surprised that there are good reviews for this place ... and maybe 10 years ago their pizza was better than most in the Kendall area, but now there are more and much better choices. I've known about this place for about 15 years or more and I think I've tried most things on their menu. The food is definitely not bad, and some of it can be quite good if you are in the mood - the big problem is that pretty much every time I eat something from here my stomach is upset the next day - I'm not 100% sure what it is but I suspect its just too oily. The pizza is the kind that tries to be like NYC style but doesn't quite get there. It has that soft, doughy crust that stands up to the large amounts of cheese and other toppings they will add. Their Calzone is one of the best menu items - the only problem is that I really dislike their gravy (marinara) which comes with it - its way too oily and acidic. The one standout excellent item here are their Garlic Rolls - they are soft, almost gooey balls of their pizza dough that are literally doused in fresh garlic and olive oil and sprinkled with a bit of parmesan and parsley (these would be out of this world if they used a better/extra virgin olive oil). You can also order them plain (if you're planning on kissing someone in the next 24 hours who isn't into garlic breath) and they are also fantastic plain - really fantastic - enough to order extra and use them for sandwiches the next day. They do a pretty damn good Fettucini Alfredo. Their Meatballs are also fairly good and the Meatball Parm Sandwich as well as the Chicken Parm Sandwich are solid choices. I like to order a side of Meatballs and their rolls, add my own fresh mozzarella and make little Meatball Sliders - they should add these to their menu - they are great. Anything that has too much of their marinara is just not so good - and the only way to save it is adding tons of parmesan cheese to cut the acidity down - the only thing that I have ever enjoyed here that uses it (besides the meatball and chicken parm sandwiches - they thankfully go lightly on it there) is their Stuffed Shells - its a comfort food for me ... and again I'll pretty much eat anything stuffed with ricotta. Their Gnocchi is leaden - don't even bother. The Lasagna is just boring and again suffers from the marinara. Their Francese is pretty decent, their version of Marsala is just weird, Eggplant Parmesan is the only of the Parmesans that is worth getting - and its very hit-or-miss here - sometimes its almost great - light and crispy and fresh tasting and sometimes its mushy and tastes like the fryer. Fried Calamari is good only if you are eating there (and really who would want to do that, but more on that in a moment ...) - when delivered it suffers the fate of most fried foods of becoming a soggy mess. All pastas and entrees come with a choice of salad or soup and the garlic rolls (though you're going to want to order extra - because that IS the reason to eat here). You can get a house salad or a caesar - but really stay away from them - the lettuce is almost always brown around the edges. The house is the better of the two - its romaine, raw white onions, two tomato wedges (which are actually usually nice and ripe) and a bunch of black olives. Their dressings leave much to be desired - the house vinaigrette isn't bad but is boring and the caesar is a very very bad creamy, or should I say gelatinous, version. They also have two soup choices - Minestrone and Pasta Fagioli. Get the Pasta Fagioli - on a good day, its thick and especially tasty sopped up by the garlic rolls. On a bad day, its thin and seems like they forgot the salt and half of the ingredients (in amount) but its still the best thing to dip their garlic rolls in. Their desserts are nothing special - they are all edible and hit the spot when you need something sweet but honestly they're not good enough to justify all of the calories. To sum it up - its fairly decent food if you're in the area and need your dinner delivered. Stick to the good stuff - savor the rolls and you'll be ok. Its overpriced for what it is - but they do give you very big portions that can easily be shared by two. The atmosphere of the restaurant is standard Pizza Joint - too bright and nothing special. I have only dined in once and I do have to say that my server was excellent though and the place was almost empty, which was nice ... Basically my family orders from here A LOT, and I end up eating their food way more than I actually want to - though I did find myself craving their garlic rolls a few times when I wasn't living in Miami.

I've driven by this place a bunch of times and never thought of checking it out. Great pizza and great Italian food. The garlic rolls are a must. They have a great special of an XL pizza, garlic rolls, and a pitcher of soda for less than $20. Win

Finally stopped one day late and discovered a pizza full of flavor with ingredients that have flavor. I've been back for the eggplant parmesan (delicious), snapper francaise (delicioso) and love the cannoli. Inexpensive, friendly staff, and will come back for more.

As the Duchess of Marino's (at least at the time of this review), I figured the least I could do was write a review of my favorite pizza place! Marino's is my little slice of Italian heaven inside a strip mall. From their pizza to their baked ziti to the best garlic rolls ever, this place is a must. The food is always delicious. Don't be discouraged if you have a less than a less than pleasant server because the food more than makes up for it.

Out of Amici Pizza and Mike's Pizza, this is the best so far. Yeah, sure it's a little greasy for my taste (thank goodness for napkins) but it's worth it. I ordered their Garlic Rolls and a Large Pepperonni Pizza for delivery. Beware: their wait time is 45 minutes to an hour (or at least when I called) but again, it's worth it! The delivery guy was super nice. Their Garlic Rolls are super delish!!! Like, yummyness to the max! Soft enough with cheese, garlic and parsely....I could die now happily. Their pizza was also good (except for the greasy part but you get my drift).

Great food. Pizza is pretty good for Miami. We have it delivered almost every Friday night!

This place has been open for a quarter century and see's no signs of closing any time soon. I was fortunate enough to have a friend in the deep Kendall area who introduced me to this marvel. He sprinkled my love for this place with sorted dramatic tales of another similar pizza place near by and how they used to be partners and split and still remain less than a mile away. If it is true or not I don't care, I do however love their thin yummy greasy pizza's. Toppings are fresh but unnecessary in my opinion. I could eat about as much of this pizza as the chuck-e-cheese type, and for those of you who remember or have visited the mouse recently, that's pretty darn good. It's not very fancy w/ Italian and new york decorations on the walls and simple square tables lining the rec tangled shaped restaurant. Bright lights could be turned down a notch but I usually just pick up.

This place is good. The best chicken Parm sandwich I have had in Miami. I have not tried the pizza yet.

My hubby grew up eating at Marino's and I've been visiting Miami for 13 years and not tried it once. We finally changed that this past week when myself, my 2.5 year old and my in-laws visited on a Friday night. Pizza: Growing up in IL, I was spoiled with deep dish Chicago style pie and never really understood the fuss of NY style pizza until I visited Lombardi's in NYC one year. Then it clicked and now, after visiting Marino's I can say I'm a deep dish convert (well, maybe only a partial convert). We ordered a large half ham/onion and half pepperoni. My first reaction was, wow that's a lot of ham (not the little cut up bits you're used to) and mmmm the sauce is delish. We also had a chance to try the meatballs (I ordered a side of three for my little one) and they were moist and well seasoned. The food was a win! Service: Our server was nice and pretty quick for a busy night. My in-laws know one of the other guys who has apparently been waiting tables there for years. You could tell the waitstaff had some experience as everything was flowing very efficiently. Ambiance: You can tell it's a local favorite as it was VERY busy with what seemed like regulars. A little loud (but when dining in Miami I expect this :) ) but cozy enough for a strip mall joint. Bottom line: I'm a firm believer in supporting local businesses.Ditch the chain pizza and give Marino's a try!

let me tell you something about Marino's Pizzeria -- its everything a pizzeria should be. the pizza is perfection. the cheese, the flavor, the sauce -- spot on! good pizza is good pizza. period. and this is good pizza. the garlic rolls are also pretty awesome. not too much garlic, which is just how they should be. the vibe is perfect. its small and cozy. i discovered Marino's by pure coincidence and i'm so glad i did. definitely one of the better pizzas i've tasted in this city.

    (5)
  • Ralph R.

Marino's is my favorite NY style pizza in Miami. Their ingredients are good and fresh and their sauce is great. Picking up is painless and quick. You can also sit in and eat. They have pastas and other dishes but the pizza is the star.

    (5)
  • Ximena A.

I'm a regular at Marino's and everytime I pick up an order from them or I go to dine in, at least one customer will complain about the smallest detail and then try to get their food for free (talk about cheap!!!!) Or they will be just flat out rude and then complain about the service. All I'm saying if you really don't like their service or their food stop ordering from them!!! Don't be the person that will turn the smallest mistake, like forgetting to give you the extra sauce you asked for, and try to get something free out of it (I've actually witnessed this).... Aside from the rude customers Marino's employees have to deal with their food is amazing and their service, if you treat the employees right, is quality service they will go above and beyond to make your experience at Marino's a good one. * Try to remember that real people work at restaurants so if they do make a mistake (Oh No!) They are not perfect.

  • Lauren P.

I don't think I've ever been disappointed from Marino's. I have only had their pizza and Garlic rolls but it's been delicious every time. They have a great Deal, 1-XL pizza, 12 Garlic rolls and a liter of soda for $17.95. Whether the Pizza is NY style or Sicilian you cannot go wrong! I will definitely be coming back here for years to come.

Ordered a cheese pizza and my daughter loved it. Chicken wings were ok but the sauce was on the side and wasnt enough to coat the wings so basically i had fried wings no seasoning or sauce. My steak sandwich..... SUCKED. They have an italian cuban menu but cant make the basic. Would you eat this steak sandwich. Find my pick. I didnt. Sorry but your steak sub was great which i ordered the day before. Todays food and service when i called SUCKED. I will never order from you again. Sorry. Be italian be cuban but be something. Right now you are drunk people food. Food to soak alcohol with.

This place ranks up there with Cazola's and Mario the baker. I actually prefer Marino's over the other two. The pizza is delicious. Real New York style pizza and the cheese that they use is to die for. I highly recommend.

    (5)
  • Jorge F.

This is as close as you can get to a real New York style pizza in Miami. The pepperoni pizza is amazing! The garlic rolls are fire and they serve beer. What more can one want? I highly recommend it, I would skip delivery, but no biggie to call ahead if you're in the area.

I will never come eat here again they served me dirty plate . I order linguine white sauce calamari my plate was full chocolate frosty . I told the waiter & he didn't say anything never again will I come here.

I hate rating low because I know the sacrifice and troubles it takes to run a functional restaurant. But canned mushrooms at a pizzeria?! Don't get me wrong, my Angel Hair Carbonara was really good and he enjoyed his Italian Sub but the slice of pizza we split with pepperoni and mushrooms was a disappointment. Service was perfect, I must add. CANNED MUSHROOMS?! -TPK

Me and my wife just moved into Kendall off of 142nd. The first night moving in to our new place we decided to order pizza. We googled some areas near us and found this place. They had a special with an extra large pizza, garlic rolls, and a 2 liter soda. The price was under $25. It was delicious. Since we have moved in we have called for delivery three times and each time it is great. They say 45 minutes but it is usually there sooner.

We have been ordering from marinos religiously 2 to 3 time a week for at least a year now. Every driver that comes to our house we tip $20...every time. Tonight we order a pizza and 3 rolls and are told 1 hour and 15, which is normal. 2 hours later the pizza shows, after multiple calls and being brushed off by the "manager", the driver arrives. After getting our pizza, my husband called in to say they had lost our business and the "managers" words were "I don't know what it takes to make you happy, but f*ck you"....there are too many good pizza joints in this area to put up up with this bull. Sorry marinos but you have lost a customer , and more importantly , your drivers have lost a good tipping customer.

Excellent pizza!!! I love this place and would go there more often if it wasn't so far from my home. Highly recommend the pizza and bread rolls!

We have been going to Marinos since before my daughters were born. Now that one is 13 and the other 8, they enjoy going to Marinos as much as we do. Love the pizza. All that cheese.

My favorite place to order white pizza. But all their pizza is delicious. Every time I've gone to the restaurant or ordered delivery the service has been wonderful!

It can be a bit greasy but great tasting pizza. They don't hold back on the cheese which is satisfying. So can't complain about that. Definitely a good place to visit now and then

I thought I had written a review but apparently not. My first visit was 5 stars. The rolls were soft and amazing, the penne with pink sauce was the best I've had, the price is very good and the service was great. I have downgraded down to 4 stars for a few reasons: 1) the price on a medium Alfredo pizza was around $16 2) the garlic rolls are no longer fluffy. They are hard and chewy, the type that makes the table shake when you try to cut it. 3) my favorite penne pasta with pink sauce tasted very different 4) my favorite pasta comes with a soup or salad when I asked for an upgrade to the lobster bisque and my server said no and I never got my free soup or salad. Instead I was charged over $8.50 for lobster bisque. Rounding up $9 for lobster bisque at this location????! It better be great (it wasn't) 5) my $9 lobster bisque was watery and had NO pieces of lobster (I really want to downgrade the stars to 3) I don't mind paying $12 for a bowl at Trulucks where the pieces of lobster are visible and the soup is flavorful. Why the 4 stars? I'm hoping that it was just the last two visits like this because the restaurant is delicious (except for the lobster bisque) but this place isn't close to me. I drive out of my way for it and I expect it to be consistent.

What horrible customer service. An employee there just cussed at me. He said his name was Pedro. I asked how much it was for 2 topping on half a pizza. He said it would be considered 1 topping which was $2, unless it was something like shrimp and bacon. I asked about ham and pineapple. He said 5 dollars. I was surprised at the price and said Holly $h!t that's a lot of money for that. He said if I didn't like it I could buy it myself and put it on. Then he hung up on me. I called back to talk to a manager and he started using the F word with me. He was really rude. I asked to talk to the manager and he told me to call back tomorrow. What horrible customer service.

    (1)
  • Ofelia O.

I wish I could give this place less than one star...owner cussed me out...because I ordered white pizza with tomato and basil. The pizza had red sauce with basil and cheese. The tomato basil pizza on the menu comes with white sauce...and when I called the owner, he was SO rude and cussed me out!!!! I even asked for white sauce, he told me to "F" off!

Top Notch Service from Roberto! I live in Pembroke Pines and I would make the trip here any day. The pasta was delicious! The tiramisu was perfect! The prices were affordable and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend this place and if you want grade A service ask for Roberto a real Italian!

  • Anthony W.

This is one of my favorite pizza joints in South Florida. The food is always consistently good and the service is almost always fast if they aren't too busy. The dough is thin on the pizza and the sauce is flavorful, just like up north. It's got the hole in the wall feel due to it being a small place and I like that. Definitely a favorite.

    (5)
  • Nick P.

Mike's To-Go Seriously, I see no difference between this joint and nearby Mike's. Pizza's better than Domino's or Papa John's, yes, but nothing out of this world. When I want to take out pizza that's not chain, I go here. When the weather's nice and I feel like eating pizza outside, I go to Mike's. Anybody who tells you otherwise is part of the silly rivalry.

Horrible service!!!! Pizza took longer than I was told and when I received it the pizza was cold as if it was sitting for a while. When I call I speak with the manager and he advised me that he is too busy to talk to me and hung up on me. When I called back and spoke to him again he told me he would not give me a credit and again hung up on me again. I had been a loyal customer for 5 years and they lost me and many others for this horrible service.

My husband and I have been ordering from Marino's for over a year. We were known for our mid-week/weekend order of the 'family special' whenever we or our children had a craving for pepperoni pizza, rolls, and fried calamari. We decided to have a pizza night for our son's sleepover party and placed an order with Marino's. We were told we would receive our order in 45 minutes (which was the usual and would almost always receive it sooner). We waited the 45 minutes, until it soon became an hour. Due to the stormy weather, we assumed that was the reason for the delay and continued to wait. After an hour and a half, I called to find out about our order. My call was answered by a rude, obviously poorly trained 'new' employee who proceeded to say 'I don't know what to tell you mam'. After moments of silence the manager took the phone and attempted to apologize for the delay due to the 'ridiculous' weather. I explained that the location was less than a mile from our home and the rain had stopped in our area over 30 minutes ago. The manager ensured us that the driver would be there momentarily. Now an hour and forty-five minutes later and still no pizza delivery man, I told my husband to go pick up a carry out special at another local pizza joint and I would cancel our original order with Marino's. I called back and the same rude employee answered and without any apology cancelled our order nd quickly hung up. Two hours after our original order was placed there was loud thumping at our door. I don't mean knocking, I mean thumping loud enough as if someone was trying to knock down our door. I answered and surprise--the delivery man. I told him I cancelled our order 15 minutes prior. He turned and walked away with no words. I would have left this matter alone had the staff been more understanding of the situation. This unfortunately was the last straw for us. While the food was always on point, the staff whether dining in or placing a phone order was always rushed, rude, and 'ridiculously' disorganized. Try Amichi's, Mike's, Steve's, Two Brothers for equally good food, a much more pleasant staff and a better business sense.

One of the best pizza places in the Kendall area. Pizzas always come in generous proportions, full of flavor, and with fresh ingredients. The bread rolls are also excellent. Their calzones are superb, full of ricotta and mozzarella cheese. Deliver to my house always within 40 minutes and the prices are comparable to other pizzerias.

  • Jim P.

Disappointing,.... although the phone guy tried to make right by me, but no dice. I ordered a Margarita pizza which had so much sauce the topping slid off most my pizza. The Basil was so chopped it was hardly visible, although the tomatoes were fresh, chopped as well. I've had my fair share of this type of pizza to know how its prepared, dough chewy.....This pie should be crispy, thin whole fresh tomato, whole fresh basil minimum sauce and cheese to top is what a MARGARITA Pizza should be! This was NOT what I ordered. These cooks should take a lesson in pizza making. The Tiramisu COMMERCIAL at best. buttercream filling, SERIOUSLY!!!!!! It should be made with Mascarpone cheese. Shame because they are close to my residence. Maybe Kendall folks like mediocre food or at least pizza.......Thanks phone guy for again being nice enough to offer and make it right buy you should train your guys better. Reviews on here are not great. Maybe take the time to read them and offer a better product.......

Have you ever had such a good pizza you crave it over and over again? I have... And it was in NYC... As a Miami native this small place has got one of the best fresh pizzas money can buy. We love it here, apart from being calm and nice, you got amazing food, and the price is right! Forever will be one of our all time spots!

This place makes stellar pizza for a great price and they deliver in less than an hour during the busiest times of the day. The mozzarella on their pizzas is delicious. I don't know what brand it is or what they do to it, but it is amazing! I love this place and am so glad we found it!

Love this pizza place! Never had the food but I see a lot of people complaining about canned mushrooms. Mama Mia's used canned mushrooms (only place I have ordered my pizza with mushrooms). Not a big deal to me, I can take my mushrooms fresh or in a can, I love them! Service is good too. No complaints.

The pizza is amazing, the service is great, but the garlic rolls steal the show here at Marino's! The garlic rolls are always perfect! Soft, with the right amount of garlic and herbs, and they're always nice and hot! I can't get enough of the rolls when I order from them. The pizza is also amazing. True new york style pie! Definitely worth the trip out to visit them!

The garlic bread was so good I thought someone was going to hold me up with a gun to take them hummm. Grrat menu and good pastas and good specials. Place is ok. Seemed very clean and the pizza was delicious. The service on the other hand left lots to be desired. Wasn't greeted when I entered other than how many and the waitress seemed almost bothered that we walked in. Got our food served and never saw the waitress again. I had to go pay at the counter. If not for the service I would have given it a higher rating.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large.
