My son, his partner, and I went this afternoon and found it closed (for good), which was a heartbreaker. The food, particularly the French Pot Roast, was outstanding and Jessica was/is the best server in the business. The whole experience will be sorely missed. If anyone knows where Jessica went, I'd love to know.

Come here from time to time for breakfast. The food is good but today I tried the orange creme french toast. It was tasty but the corned beef hash tasted like out of the can. The scrambled eggs were good. The side of fruit too was good. The service here is very good.

Had to wait around 20 minutes which is not too bad. The waitress forgot our silverware but for the most part was attentive and personable. Food was pretty good: I had the New Chicken Tillamook Cheddar Mac which was super yummy and rich, my mother had the Quiche Florentine which came with a salad, quiche, and muffin (which they forgot until my mother had to ask for it); my grandmother had the beer battered fish and frites--the fish was fried nicely but the French fries/frites were soggy. Overall nice experience and got to use a coupon with my order.

Mimi's has really gone downhill in the past couple years. This last visit was definitely our last! LUNCH...a sandwich and soup took nearly an hour. Drinks and bread took over half an hour. The table next to us was also complaining that their soups took over 30 minutes to come out. Server was scatter brained, and blamed awful service on the new menu and that the main cook called out sick. Somehow we didn't get up and leave, what a mess. Server gave us two stale muffins when we left as an attempt to rectify the situation. Manager was useless and did nothing. Overall, will not be back.

My mom and I use to love Mimi's Cafe for breakfast but the past year or so, they've gone downhill ever since they got the "new menu". The past three times we've been to Mimi's the service has been terrible and the food wasn't much better. It has taken us over 30 minutes to get our food and then, it comes out cold. Been very disappointed and I've given them multiple tries to make things better and they haven't! Sorry Mimi's but, three strikes and you're out! I will not be back.

I'm actually insulted. I ordered the coq au vin which was delicious... up until the third bite where I discovered my chicken went beyond cold into frozen. So they brought me the seafood boulebais. Also fabulous, until I got a cold, raw potato. By now my date is nearly finished his meal and I can't think of what I could possibly want too risk my health on next so please just bring dessert from our 2 for 25 upgraded meal. And thanks for the for free muffins which I could have gotten if I signed up for the eclub. And no manager bothered to come back the second time, but they did only charge us for the one meal. And you "hope this doesn't deter you from coming back"? Um. As a matter of fact...and keep the muffins. Nathan, our server was superb and should never have been the one sent to handle our multiple problems.

Good for brunch and that's about it. Dinner entrees are the quality of a bad school cafeteria. Service is horrible. Manager is useless. I have a severe gluten and dairy allergy. It took the manager 40 minutes to figure out what items on the menu didn't contain gluten or dairy (even with a gluten-free menu). Plus they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. Sorry my disease is an inconvenience to YOU, manager and server at Mimi's!

This review was for our visit on 2/15/13 My horrible service streak continues. We walked right into the place and were seated immediately. Not sure what happened after that but we literally sat there for 15 minutes watching server after server walk by without anyone saying a peep. Finally someone came over, probably after seeing my face turning red, and asked if anyone had taken our drink order yet. "NO, OBVIOUSLY THEY HAVE NOT", I screamed in my own head before simply telling the server "no". From that moment on, the service was great. She was on top of refilling our drinks and that delicious bread. The food was unremarkable to say the least. I got the top sirloin and it was completely void of flavor...not salted or seasoned in any way. The mashed potatoes were really good. I appreciate a few tiny lumps so you know at least it's real. The french onion soup before my meal was not the best either. Too many chunks of onion. For dessert I had the bread pudding and I'm so glad I did. It was so plump and moist. In a nutshell, loved their baked goods but everything else fell short.

What a great surprise this place was! and WHY on earth don't we have one in South Florida? (Miami? Ft. Lauderdale?) I had driven by Mimi's before in the Orlando area and was always curious about it. I finally tried it and I loved it! Such great choices on the lunch menu and a huge drink menu too! Really big! I had my first ever Spiced Bloody Mary and it was delish. Service was great and with a smile. Can't beat that! Big fan.

This is a review for my visit on 05/13/2013 My friend and I both ordered the same breakfast dish: Challah French Toast with 2 eggs and turkey sausage. The French toast was yummy. Thick cuts of toast perfectly done in the pan with a nice helping of syrup to the side. The scrambled eggs were decent, nothing special. The turkey sausage came in links and were delicious. My only complaint is that the coffee is not great. I am a coffee lover however I could not bring myself to drink a cup of it. It was not flavorful, something I would expect out of an older coffee maker. Our waitress was very attentive and came by often to check on us. She was personable and chatty. I ordered 2 blueberry muffins to go that were fresh from the oven. These muffins are huge and had a generous amount of big and juicy blueberries in them. Our bill for two full breakfasts, coffee & 2 muffins was $23 not including gratuity.

Poor service. Slow, slow, slow. Ordered an omelette that should've had a side of potatoes. It came with fruit. I asked for the potatoes and was told they'd be sent right out. Not only did they never come I had to be the one to tell the server as she never asked. Will think twice before going back.

My wife really likes this place and she had been here before absolutely loving the place. My experience was good, but I don't think I consider it as great a place like she does. The place itself is really nicely decorated inside and there's some nice character and ambiance. The greeters and servers were very friendly and attentive and the service overall was good. The food was good, not spectacular, but good - although I believe a bit over priced. I had the salmon with brown rice, while the wife had the chicken piccata - both dishes were good, but that was about it. For dessert, we had their chocolate mousse - and that was very good. I would have given the place four-stars if it weren't for the obviously long wait for dinner. Thankfully the waitress kept our drinks filled and our bread basket full.

Decided to drop in to Mimi's Cafe in Viera, Florida for the first time ever on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at approximately 6:30 PM. When I got into the parking lot. I thought it was a bit strange for a restaurant to not be busy around dinner time like all the other restaurants in the area. We got seated right away. The hostess was very nice, besides her looking confused and not knowing where to seat us. The dinning hall to the left had mostly everyone in there and one family in the dinning hall to the right. While waiting on a server to greet us. I took in how beautifully crafted this restaurant is. While continuing to wait 8 minutes had gone by. I notice multiple servers walking around and not one greeted us. 17 minutes went on and finally the shift manager Lori came by asked if "we had been taken care of yet" We stated "no mam we have not" Lori took our drink orders and as she did that one of the servers lady servers that had passed us two times walked up. The server then took over by confirming the drinks. The server did not introduce herself as well as she was not polite. After being seated for over 20 minutes there was no apology from the manger Lori or the sever. This place was not even busy at all. While waiting on our drinks for an additional 9 minutes. We then figured that we where not welcomed there. By the level of service we had received. While waiting on our drinks to come out. We had notice a loud child's game type of noise playing over the restaurant music the family was two tables down. The server finally came with our drinks and we simply asked her if we could move to another area. The server stated "why would we like to move" I told the server it was due to the child loud game. She stated she did not hear anything. Due to the server attitude I simply said if your not going to move us could you then ask them turn the child's game down. Knowing that's not going to happen. Her response was "I'll never ask them to do that" in a sarcasm disrespectful way. I was like Okay well lady just move us like we wanted with out all the disrespect. We got to another table she went on to say "your getting a new server anyways" I was like how rude and asked to speak with a manger. The server went into the kitchen and throw her hands up to another server. Keep in mind we are closer to the kitchen now in the dinning room to the right. Let's just say I was shocked on the level of customer service we received and was disgusted. Knowing we're not staying there. I did not drink the $7.00 wine. The new server was very nice and respectful and introduced herself. She was younger then the server that was so disrespectful. The manager never showed. It took 15 minutes. As we walked out that's when Lori the shift manger then proceeds to meet us at the door and asked "gentlemen can I help with something" I then went on to advised her of my displeased level of customer service I received and how I was treated. She never gave an apologized and only took up for her employee. Stating "she looks up to that server and that she has known her for many years she don't believe she did something like that" This manager gave no problem solving or showed any sign that would rectify my displeased level of customer service and did not assure me that she would handle the problem. I am doing a formal complaint to the restaurant general manger as well as corporate. I feel I was violated as a customer and that the level of customer service displayed was by far an example of Mimi's Cafe and its employees. No wonder why this restaurant has low ratings and is not busy at all.

After a decent wait for our food waitress shows up asking if we got our food! No. She then says our order was up but someone took it so she would place another order "911" (where did it go?). 30 minutes after ordering we finally got food, which was ok, not great. Meanwhile a manager never came by. When we got our bill we asked if mgr was aware of our wait & were told yes. This was a Sunday at 7pm and not crowded. For mgr to not even stop by & apologize or offer anything showed no class. We won't be back. There are better options for average food & better service.

First time I went late afternoon, it was pretty good. Although the special was a small portion. But the bread basket, and service were great. I returned on a weekend night with my girlfriend and they were packed to the hilt. We sat at the bar tables. We, and many others walked out after about 20 minutes of never seeing anyone to clean the table or even say hello to us. They kept saying its so busy we don't have help. EARTH TO MIMI's Owner and Manager. Viera is a growing area with housing in demand. You are in a hot location at the Avenues. It is time to get the right people in place before you go bust with failure to manage. Failing restaurants who face a challenge to lure customers would give anything to have your problem of too many customers and not enough help. Find a top shelf manager to set the course for success because you are in trouble. Cant rate the food when you can't even keep a customer in the place. I so discusted that I am not even going to take the time to edit and spell check my post because that s what I think of you.

Stopped for lunch .The corn chowder was wonderful. Also tried the Thai chicken wrap which was great. However the service was agonizingly slow. It was a rainy day and they were slammed. They specialize in comfort food, the dishes are delightfully different but I was very disappointed in the service today. I will give them another try.

Mim's Cafe in Viera........My wife has been here a few times and has enjoyed it and always shared her experience with me. So, I have been curious for awhile now, we were out & about and getting hungry. We were seated right away, the decor is comfortable French motif, they have table and booth's. My wife ordered the Chicken Salade Croissant (grilled tarragon chicken salad with ripe, red grapes and walnuts on a freshly baked multi-grain croissant), I had the Le Burger de Madame, described as "The Grande Dame of all burgers"...(served on a toasted brioche bun and piled high with hickory-smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, red onions & pickles with Mimi's Thousand Island dressing and crowned with a fried egg) and onion strings on the side. Our waiter Sammy, was top notch; he explained the menu in mouth watering detail and my meal was a recommended by him. Our service was great, staff was moving all around, caring for their tables. Drinks were refilled in a timely manner, our food arrived in good time, but we didn't mind waiting a little longer....good food takes time to create. Our food was wonderful, everything cooked to perfection. Just wish we had one in Titusville, definitely will be returning. It's a great place for couples, or a girls breakfast/lunch/dinner.

Disappointing. The service here is good, but the food is not great. The breakfast food was not as good as I had hoped, and the dinner entrees are disappointing as well. Greasy, far too salty. The safe bet is the salads and the muffins.

Not great! We are Usually a big fan of Mimi's (my son loves their seasonal chocolate muffins) although this particular location was really bad! When we got there it was empty, there were two bartenders talking and a total of 6 wait staff chit chatting in the back, not one person came to help us. After about 7-10 minutes waiting a bus boy sat us right before we were going to leave. The waitress we had smelled like cigarette (although she was friendly), the eggs were runny and the muffins were super dry. We will Not be back to this Mimi's!!

This is a pretty decent restaurant. I must admit, I was skeptical. Located in the Avenues open air mall, I was worried when I saw mostly families with annoyed parents and mouthbreathers in tow, or gaggles of Medicare aged ladies collecting out front... but yay for me this is not a Morrison's cafeteria- grab a tray move on grandpa kind of place. It's New Orleans/Cajun fare and the inside is very clean. They have a nice bar/care area near the entrance, a place to sit that looks more bistro upscale, and a side that's more eclectic with instruments decorating the walls. The bread basket was delicious, carrot and raisin bread as well as different wheat and rye. I love that they had Pistachio crusted fish (being as I would pull the beating heart from the chest of the world's strongest man so long as it meant I was rewarded with Pistachios) and their Red bean and Andouille sausage soup was spectacular. Mouthwatering in fact. I got their Jambalaya and the platter was twice the size of my head*. (*which grows with every passing minute) The portion was so great that I ate it for dinner, lunch at work the next day, and still was able to hand a seemingly full box over to my Mother who wanted to try it. The Beignets are where it's at. Cream filled deliciously fried little fritters with 3 sauces: Strawberry, Chocolate, and Caramel. Oh the wonder! So enticing that we took visitors by just for Coffe and Beignets. The Iced Mocha was quite refreshing on the hot summer day and was in a nice tall glass. Please go, and stuff your self until you wished you hadn't eaten so much... it's worth it.

My wife and I've gone to this "place" won't call it a restaurant, 3 times and each time has been worse than the one before. The last time was this last Sunday for an early lunch. We were seated right away and our drink orders taken. Our drinks followed shortly after ordering and we ordered our meal. We sat for what seemed like forever and watched as other dinners received their meals, many of which had been seated after us. The server finally came to our table and apologized and said she'd forgotten to put our order in and that it would be out "shortly". At least she was honest and owned up to it. After another ten minutes or more without receiving our order, we asked to speak to a manager to get our check for the coffee and muffins we'd been provided, only to realize a Manager had been talking to the party at the table across from us for most of the time we'd been in the "place". She came over and offered a half-hearted apology and said there was no charge. The previous times we dined here were much like this one: waiting for meals much longer than acceptable, incorrect meal orders... My wife tells me I'm a glutton for punishment as I'm always the one who wants to give the place another try. UNCLE.

We did not nave to wait at all to get seats. The food here is really good. I had the sampler and then the crepe and the bread was just fantastic. The service was amazing. As we where walking in a lady said how great her waitress was and I don't know if we had the same one, odds are we did not, but this guys was just an excellent waiter. Look forward to coming back nice time I visit my mom.

It was my first visit to Mimi's tonight. I will have to say the first impression when I walked into the restaurant was one expecting more on an Italian cuisine than the nouveau American menu that i received. It seemed a nice family/older crowd type of place. Although one of the down sides tonight was the smell in the restaurant....smelled like old ocean, like the mussels in the back sat out a bit too long. The waitress proved to be a bit slow. I did noticed they had on the menu portion-controlled options which I found to be perfect and yummy as well. All in all I wasn't planning on coming back, until something unexpected happened. I had mentioned to the server when we sat down that it was our first time coming to eat here at Mimi's. At the end of our meal the manager came out with a batch of complimentary assorted muffins to 'welcome' us to Mimi's and a gesture to come back. My boyfriend and I both smiled and definitely appreciated the gesture. All in all though....I would only come back if it was a choice between Ruby Tuesday's, Chilli's & Mimi's

We have been regular customers for many years. We first discovered Mimi's in California when our daughter moved there. I have always loved the breakfast and dinner menu. We went last Saturday evening and we were so disappointed to see the menu completely changed, we had trouble finding anything we liked. They used to have a fit part of the menu that gave a calorie count-my favorite part. We will not be back!!

That's three straight subpar or bad experiences for our family at this place. That's enough; we won't be back. Lowlights of tonight's (final) visit: - indifferent wait staff. Had to request silverware and napkins - after my soup and the bread came. Slow to non-existent drink refills. - completely mediocre food. Everything was just, "eh"...nothing special at all. The bread did stand out, though- but not in a good way. Tasted and felt like, oh, I don't know, about a week or so old. And I'd really like butter with my bread, please? - couldn't get orders right. Simple kids meals were mixed up completely. And, if I order dessert at the beginning of the meal, would it kill you to let me know THEN that you're out of it, instead of waiting until I'm expecting it? Not even an apology for that one - I just gave an alternate selection to my wife. Even that couldn't be right, though - the brownie she ordered was hard as a rock. We ended up leaving it. Three strikes, Mimi's. You're out!

Stopped here in the middle of a road trip with the girls. You can imagine - seven moms released from the responsibility of kids and husbands for the weekend. While we were in heaven, I'm not sure what the other diners thought of our very, ahem, enthusiastic table. The best thing about Mimi's was the waitstaff. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and managed to get all of our orders (a la When Harry Met Sally) right! She billed us each separately as well, so that made it easy for us. The food wasn't anything spectacular. Soups and salads and sandwiches, but it was all fresh and plentiful. I would definitely come back here on my next road trip through the area.

Here for lunch, parking lot was packed so I though, "it must be good if they're busy" and it WAS! I'm a big tea drinker so I was pleasantly surprised with their tea basket selection. Service awesome, priced perfectly. Would definitely return, highly recommend.

I've been to Mimi's Cafe 4 times over the past 3 years. The first time we went, it was great. But the past 3 times, it's gone from bad to worse. And last night was the worst. From the moment we walked in, we weren't greeted by a hostess (strike 1). When she did come over, we were told it would be about 10 minutes for the table, so we went to the bar to have a drink while we waited. It was only about 10 min. for the table, but we were ignored by the bartender who only had 2 other people sitting there (strike 2). We finally got our table only to have it rock when we moved (strike 3). I'm not saying it tilted, but if you put a small amount of pressure on it, it leaned to the point that you could tip it over. Our server came over and took our drink & food orders, which was difficult because we could barely hear him (strike 3 1/2). He brought the bread out fairly quick, but the dishes that he brought with him still had food on them (strike 4). We waited for about 15 minutes just for him to bring our drinks! To make matters worse, when my partner went to ask him about it while he was walking past us, he totally dismissed her by not even acknowledging that she was trying to get his attention (strike 5)! Finally she got tired of waiting for the drinks and went to the bar to see what was going on. Right when she started to talk to the bartender, the waiter "mysteriously" appeared to take the drinks to our table, with a giggle. So she returned to her seat. For as long as it took, you'd think the drink order would be right, but it wasn't (strike 6). FINALLY, we got our food. I ordered the Oven Roasted Pot Roast and she ordered the Beef Bourguignon. To say the meal was mediocre is giving too much credit. My partner describes the meal as this: bland, bland, overcooked veggies, bland. My take on the meal is this: broccoli overcooked, carrots dried out, potatoes no flavor, chuck roast had no seasoning/flavor save for the gravy, had way too much fat to cut off (last strike!). The only thing good about the roast was that it was tender. Needless to say, after giving Mimi's a few chances to change for the better, we're done. If you're looking to be completely disrespected, disappointed and overcharged, Mimi's is the place. If you're looking for something other than that, go to Longhorns!

I'd heard from numerous people that Mimi's had a good brunch so we decided to try it this weekend. When we got there, the wait was 30-40 minutes, so we opted to eat outside. The wait staff was slow coming out to take our orders and even slower to bring our drinks and food. The blueberry muffin was the best part of the brunch and the complimentary orange juice was good as well. I ordered the Monterey omelette with a substitution. The substitution was correct, but the avocado was missing and there was too much cheese. The potatoes were pretty good. I think part of the issue is that the Breast Cancer Walk had just ended and they did not schedule enough staff to cover the increased business.

Mimi's has a really confused identity. In fact I dont think anyone there currently has ever been to France. Why would I say this? Well lets talk about the story about he guy who was in the French countryside and loved it and founded the restaurant. i think this is a total fabrication. The decor is New Orleans which is NOT french. Jazz which is the theme is an American invention. Ok I will let that pass. BUT they had the special menu advertising the french provisional specials that included a Thai Chicken Wrap. What the fuck? They don't have Thai chicken wraps in the French Countryside and I grew up on the border in France so I know what I am talking about here. I made a joke about it and got a blank look from the server who asked if we had chickens in my country. BTW - Spain is my country not France but still its a pretty stupid thing to say just the same.Frankly there really is not anything even remotely authentic. That said, the servers were nice, the service was prompt and honestly the food was ok. I think they are full of shit on the whole French thing but I have had much worse and its ok for brunch anytime. I suppose its better than Dennys but don't expect authentic French or even really authentic Crepes.

I come here with my Mom about once a month. The food is reliably good with a wide range from low calorie petite portions to gut busting meals. Breakfasts are especially delicious. The wait staff is always pleasant but service can be slow. I never go to Mimi's Cafe for a quick meal. I've signed up for the email program and get a coupon about once a month. Sometimes the coupon is for free muffins, sometimes it's for $5 off two entrees. A pretty good deal.
