Lunch - Salad is the way to go!!! After flying all morning and meetings our group needs some quick nourishment. Eddie's was very busy during lunch. The menu had great selections. I don't always like to eat heavy meals while traveling for business. The only problem - I did not have much time to eat it. I felt like I was in a Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest. My salad had fresh ingredients with prepared chicken. A strong recommend :-)

We habe been here twice and have enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very laid back. The servers are very nice ladies and even though they are super busy for breakfast and brunch, they still take the time to make sure order is correct and your refills are done. I really enjoyed my breakfast of sausage and eggs and the hubby had the Spanish omelette special. He did habe to send his grits back because they weren't hot but our server took care of it immediately. All in all, it is good local spot for some southern comfy food.

Nice and friendly staff, quick food service and good prices for the amount of food. Not exactly the nicest looking place from the outside but for a good quick breakfast it will do you good!

$12 for a Turkey Club, Fries and an Iced Tea...seriously? What makes things worse is it was packed, mostly with older folks, but packed nonetheless. The wait to get food was to be expected but it was mistake after mistake after mistake which caused our food to come out...wait for it...50 mins later. The server informed us that it was his first day...maybe the rookie should be given a slower shift as his first, what ya think... I won't be back.

Pretty good experiences here. Huge portions of food. Taste is very good. Great service. Good menu choices and specials. Nice diner atmosphere. Not cheesy like others. Clean. Friendly waiter and waitresses. Wil keep returning.

Service us good, seems to be mostly regulars as everyone seems to know each other. The food was pretty plain and boring. Portion size was small. I hear people talk about Eddie's all the time but I'd rather go dennys after eating here a few times. Overall it's a good place. I really like ask the old melbourne decorations on the walls.

I ate here a couple weeks ago when my family was in town. The environment is relaxed and friendly. The food is good and I actually couldn't finish it all! It's a great place for breakfast with the family :)

This establishment was recommended by a friend and while at work I ran in to get a Bacon Cheddar Burger with fries. Another burger? I admit I have a problem! I didn't dine in I had to get take out, however the place was not only clean, it was packed! The staff was friendly and took my order expeditiously. I waited a grand total time of 6 1/2 minutes to having an order in my hand and running back to the car. Simply amazing! I ordered my burger medium rare and that is exactly what I got. The bread was flaky, the veggies were crisp, the cheese perfectly melted and the bacon was thick, juicy and well cooked. It looked like a burger made for a photo-op and tasted like a million bucks. The fries were perfectly cooked and delicious. I also got enough condiments to accompany my purchase as well as cutlery, which I used to cut my burger in half. To save for later...half an hour in the second half was gone...so sleepy! I have to come back! Do yourself a favor, just stop in, 'Nuff Said!

Eddie's was the first place we ate back in 1997 when we decided to move to Melbourne. Spoke with Eddie and he recommended where "not" to live in Brevard County. Since then, I cannot count the times we have had breakfast or lunch there. Food and ambiance has always been good. You can't beat the prices. Unfortunately, I don't see Eddie at the restaurant as much as before. Fried chicken, is great!

Great local establishment with friendly staff and a simple well thought out menu. This is not fancy by any stretch but either is the price. Great burgers. Great location. Great people. You feel like you are part of the scene as soon as you sit down. Strangers say hello to you and smile. Oh and they love the military and local law enforcement.

Eddie himself is a legend in Melbourne and I know that *everyone* loves Eddie's Sunrise Diner. Except me. This is a statistically invalid review as I just made a single visit. I just can not go back and face another blueberry pancake the size of an oversized out-of-round pioneer prairie schooner wagon wheel. The perimeter of the pancake was as dry as the West; the interior of the pancake was as soggy as Florida. I use terms like 'perimeter' and 'interior' because they better capture the scale of the pancake I am describing here. I can only imagine the size of the sausage links (er, logs). No, actually I don't want to. The waitress even tried to convince me that a stack of three pancakes is better value. A 3-D version of what I am about to describe is just plain scary. Thanks anyway, but I'll stay in 'Flatland.' Can you make smaller pancakes at home? Sure, too easy. Can Eddie's? Nope, one size fits all. Quote: "It is too difficult to try and explain to the cooks how to make smaller pancakes." I am not even going to try and dissect that explanation. My guess is that 7 egg omelettes are standard fare at Eddie's as well served with a half-pound of bacon on the side. I did manage to eat some of my pancake. Here is how I accomplished the task. No really, at this point I gave up on dining and took on eating as a task. Visualize tri-concentric rings of pancake that contain a central primeval soupy mixture: (i) Outer ring dry, (ii) Interior ring soggy, (iii) Middle ring edible (by comparison). Actually it worked out pretty well to relocate all the extraneous ringed blueberries to the middle ring, add some butter and syrup and eat the middle ring. The size was just right and the taste was actually quite good. Still, all in all, I think it's quite a lot of unnecessary work to dissect a pancake in order to rearrange the parts to produce an acceptable breakfast meal. The thing is I really like Eddie and his various family members working in the restaurant. They have obvious pride in their family business and know how to run a friendly and efficient restaurant. Unfortunately (for me and maybe you) their target market does not include people of my ilk. Luckily for Eddie he has no shortage of satisfied customers in Melbourne.
