This is a local Italian deli and market run by locals. A friendly place with excellent food. The home made ravioli is exceptionally good. Good for take out or eat in. Want to hear Italian, this is the place because many local Italians visit to eat or take out or just chat.

This is a fantastic Italian deli. From the bread to the meats and the service. Fantastic. True Italians that know exactly how to run a deli

What a great little Italian deli. The food is fantastic!! Freshly made and REAL Italian!! Prices are very reasonable and the portions are tremendous. Love the roast beef, meatballs, chicken parmesan, and the eggplant parmesan. Next week on to the pastrami...

The best Italian subs and cold cuts in Melbourne! Homemade food everyday and The best customer service around. Every time I walk in there they make you feel right at home!

Literally the BEST Italian cold cuts sandwich I have ever had! This place is the bomb! Makes his own breads and cheeses! Highly recommended and the owner is super friendly! This is a great place for lunch or anytime really! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...and I don't think I've ever given a 5 star review on Yelp...so this place is something special for sure!

I've been working over in the Melbourne area lately and hail from Orlando. I'm a huge fan of Deli's and great sandwich joints and I have to say Cerrato's has the best sandwiches I've come across. They bake their own bread which is soft and delicious, make their own roast beef and fresh mozzarella. On top of that the (2) gentleman that own and run the joint are super friendly and make sandwiches of all sorts. I vouch for this place.

Absolutely amazing place. My friend took me here for lunch and I fell in love. This is a small little deli (no fancy shit here) that is dishing out some great stuff. The owner makes fresh bread and mozzarella every single day. I can't begin to explain how phenomenal it is to eat a cold cut sandwich that is made in fresh bread. I got the roast beef sandwich and was super happy. For $9 I got a huge roast beef sandwich, PILED to the brim with freshly made roast beef. What a treat! Probably thr best roast beef sandwich I've had after Kelly's in Boston, MA. They have a crapese sandwich too, and it's exactly what you think it. Fresh, home made mozzarella on fresh bread, tomatoes and olive oil. Can't wait to return here!

This is the best italian deli I have ever been to!!! Fresh bread, mozzarella...everything. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and all of it has been great. I recommend the hot italian sub and the cannoli cake.

The sub we got was really good. The bread was amazing. The owner seems like a nice guy...BUT (there's always a but...) the place is a dump! It looks like it hasn't been swept in months. Dust everywhere, empty shelves. I noticed a cigarette butt on the floor. The sub was good, but I won't be back due to the cleanliness of the place. Too bad.

We went here for lunch. Location is convenient if you're coming from the immediate north/south, but have fun sitting in traffic otherwise. There's enough seating for about 20 people inside, but it was completely empty when we got there. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a decent selection of hot/cold subs and some pasta dishes as well. I had the meatball w/ mozzarella sub which was really good and barely priced more than the 'substandard' Subway option. There's some deli and pastry options as well as random dry goods & wine for sale. Def worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for local Italian.

THE best customer service EVER! The owner brought us a couple of extra sweets right out to our car (who does that!?) at no extra cost, just because! Loved the bread and the mexican wedding cake cookies! The roast beef could use a little trimming, but all in all, it was a great 1st visit.

This place has the best sandwiches in town. The bread is always fresh and the ingredients are, too. I'd recommend the Italian, though I'm told the caprese sandwich is great too. It's $10 for a large but you can easily get two meals out of it. After coming here you'll leave Subway and other chains far behind.

Shame this place has so much potential,as I was so disappointed with the sandwich I ordered. It was supposed to be an Italian cold cut combo. It was mostly dough(roll) very skimpy with the meat & veggies and with boiled ham with the other two meats.I've eaten in many Italian deli and this place did not come up to any decent standard.i wish there is less than one star rating.this place is so disappointing compared to I read!

Went in one day for some cold cuts and for a deli they were very good, as a market they were lacking. They only thing they really had on the shelves were imported pastas and a few other items. The owner seemed like a good guy, born in Italy, and the meats were of great quality. The bread was so fresh it was still warm! The pastries looked pretty good too, I'll have to go back to try them one day. They offered a lot of cooked meals on their menu and I would love to try them for a catering. Give this place some support so they can add some items to their market inventory!

This is an amazing authentic Italian deli. You know your getting the real deal when there is such a large variety of options and the meats are hanging from the ceiling. I got the Cerrato's Deluxe to go and it took me three sittings to finish that monster! The pizza was also so good I have stopped by a couple times just driving to get some of that goodness. All hail the Cerrato's Deluxe!

I saw that Cerrato's was advertising freshly baked bread, so I pulled over to check them out. They had a lot to choose from: cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, salads, stromboli, calzones, pizza, and pastas. I initially stopped in with a sandwich in mind, so I went ahead and tried the trusty Italian (ham, salami, pepperoni, and fresh provolone). The meats were all Boar's Head, which is always a good thing, and it was all sliced to order. The provolone was on the sharp side (a pleasant surprise) and had a really nice bite and flavor to it. The bread was good (though a little on the thick side) with a fairly firm crust. BOTTOM LINE: great food for a great price. Pop in for lunch when you're in the mood for some Italian. And stop giving your hard-earned money to massive corporations and start supporting small local businesses like Cerrato's!

I have never noticed this place and only ended up here because I was waiting for my car at the Hyundai place across the street. I walked in and the guy was very friendly. There were a lot of options! I have an Italian cold cuts sandwich, 8" for $8. It was very big and I took half of it home. There was also an array of hot and cold pastas, pizza, and a sign that said they make fresh cannoli while you wait. Great place for a quick bite and it seems like a good place to pick up food for the family when you don't feel like cooking as well! (Which is any night that ends in Y for me).

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
