Lester’s Diner Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

My favorite place to eat breakfast. They have the best selection and prices cant be beat. I usually get the Gyro meat & eggs (which also comes with hashbrowns & toast) or the country fried steak (which also comes with eggs, hashbrowns, & toast. The food is all that and then some. I am there every weekend. The pastries seen at the front counter make my mouth water everytime I pass. This place is the real deal.

Service was good. I sat at the sit up bar type area. Food came extremely fast which was NICE because I was on lunch break. There was a few flies flying around which was horrible and grossed me out. Why wouldnt the waitresses at least try and kill them? ewwwww... Food was like $12.00 for Hot Roast Beef with extra gravy (guess they dont typically put gravy on the fries). I also got the cucumber salad. Food was decent but way over priced for what it was. I love diner food but $11.00 is much for what it was. I might have to come back and try breakfast instead?

Best diner experience in Florida! We were a group of 8 NYers hungry at 10pm and were lucky to find this gem on our way. Being a local in Astoria, NY where Greek food is top notch, Lester's would give them a run for their money. Their salads were fresh, burgers were delicious and their platters were on point! The service was amazing as well, really accommodating even though it was near closing time and we never felt rushed. I'll be going back next time I'm in town, but to all you locals looking for a classic and yummy diner experience, this is your place, enjoy!

Been coming here for years and service and food has been getting progressively worse, with the culmination tonight. Service by Summer was terrible, blaming the new cook for something that she should have caught being an astute server. Turkey was dry and bland. Only redeeming thing was the matzoh ball soup which was Lipton Cup-o-noodle with a ball of dough. Ugh what happened to this place? Will seriously consider not coming back.

Very good diner food. The service is very quick and the food is fresh. The price is good as well.

I'll tell you what, I thought breakfast was just breakfast but then I ate at Lesters. The service was great, food was ready really fast, the hashbrowns were amazing and the hotcakes were extremely tasty. I was skeptical at first, but Lesters is completely worth it.

My favorite Diner in the area. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I often go there for breakfast and everything on the menu is good. Unlike some other Diners in the area they listen to your order and accommodate any kind of special request. A nice roomy atmosphere. The only complaint I ever had was that sometimes the waitresses can be heard complaining and even arguing over tables. On one occasion two waitresses were arguing over who's station to sit me at with me standing right there. But this is definitely the best diner around.

Been coming here for over 5 years and never a problem with the staff or food. Great waitresses and I love the breakfast and lunch... The BLT is awesome!!!

So Denny's was full and Lester happened to be around the corner... Gotta love your old school diners with "out of service" table side juke boxes! Either way, breakfast was extremely tasty and the prices are reasonable for the portions. Will be back!

Lester's is where I'm most likely to be found on a Saturday morning. The food is great, the vibe is relaxed, and the hostess and wait staff are friendly and helpful. I've only eaten their breakfast food (the pancakes and Belgian waffles are so good), so I can't speak on the rest of their menu. As for prices and portion sizes, you can easily get two huge breakfasts for $20 and either take home leftovers or be stuffed. I highly recommend this place.

Went with a large group. Sat right away and Our waitress was excellent. Service was on point and quick. Husband had the chicken fried steak which he said was very good. Pancakes were also very good. We are critical of our "diner" food as we are from NJ. This was good and we would visit again.

The food is unbelievable but the service is very poor. I had a lady who seem to be the manager and took my order and was correcting me while taking my order. I told her that she was very rude. And instead of apologizing she argue with me. I like the food that I would not go back there because of the poor service.

My bubbles introduced me to lesters when i was looking for a NYC type diner in south florida(lesters is it) with a flavor of nyc-their breakfast(biscuits and gravy/my favorite) is some of the best in town and their lunch and dinner is also a taste to look forward too.

Stopped in for breakfast. I've been to their location on SR 84 many times and always had good food. I don't think the Margate location has the same owners. The waitress was friendly, no problems where, but the food was "ok" at best. It took a good 20 minutes after we ordered which was a bit long for breakfast. My Omlette was tasteless, maybe because they forgot the Cheddar cheese (They didn't forget it on the bill). The toasted bagel was room temp, probably toasted 30 minutes before it came to the table. My guest ordered eggs, bacon and a biscut. The eggs were ok, properly cooked, the biscuit tasted like moist paste. It was heavy, not flaky and had no flavor at all. No reason to go back

I've been to this location only one time and my experience was below average hence three star rating. The other locations I always had a good experience but this last time I went I was real disappointed in the food and the service. I ordered a hamburger, fries and a soda. Simple enough right??? It took forever for my burger to come out and when it did finally come out I took a bite out of it and it was as dry as a hockey puck. Yuck!!! The fries were average and the waitress never came back to refill my soda. I was sitting there thirsty the whole time. Not too sure if I'll be back. I might just stick with coral springs diner.

We've come here a few times. Each time the service has been horrible. It takes no less than two hours each time, so we only go here if we have nowhere to be after. The food is good, though.

I love coming here on occasion. I am from Jersey and I miss going to the diners there. But luckily I found Lester's and I overall satisfied with the dining experience. Food is good and servers are timely.

Loved my Cobb Salad but the staff and service was terrible. I think they might be prejudice. Smh

It isn't very often that I assign two stars, but I was disappointed in this place. It wasn't the service. That was solid. It was the food. And, maybe it was just a bad one-time experience, because this place was jam-packed with patrons. I arrived for breakfast, and ordered the #15, which is two eggs (I ordered them over-easy), hash browns, polish sausage and rye toast. This is a pretty big place and I'm somewhat skeptical of big places, and the reason why is that orders will be completed, but will wait unattended for minutes at a time (crucial minutes). I'm thinking that's what may have compromised my meal. The eggs were okay, but the hash browns and polish sausage weren't as hot as they should have been. They weren't very flavorful either. The polish sausage didn't have a homemade taste to it. Seems like it was from the Publix frozen food section. ... And the toast was rock hard. I guess I could have asked my waitress to take it all back, but I'm a believer in first impressions and getting it right the first time. After eating a similar combination at the Cypress Nook, which get's it right and sets a high standard, this place pales in comparison. I just ate what I had and moped about it to myself. Upon checkout, the cashier asked how everything was, and I quietly said good. Again, I just didn't feel like explaining to her that it was the worst breakfast I had in years. I won't be back.

The food was good. Service was okay. The place is big diner, so I was a little worried I might not be able to find something vegetarian, but alas, I ordered the "mini" greek salad (which came with grape leaves, YAY!) Mounds of feta, which I'm told is more authentic, so... Everyone else seemed to be pleased with their meal. Not amazing, but not bad. Very middle of the road for me. But I was happy they had greek options on their menu. Quite a little surprise!

I discovered this location while browsing for a snack after class.I have to admit, I love Lester's! It feels like you stepped back into the 50's. The art that lines the walls are old pictures of the surrounding area. I love to look at them and think back to a different time than we know now. I love their chili (it has beans, yummy) it comes in a reasonable size along with the price. I enjoy the pancakes, while my hubby goes for the massive french toast. The service is friendly and quick! A lot of cute old timers go their for deals, since they are home to the 14oz coffee. Give it a try!! Happy Eating !!

When you are tired of new trendy places and just want good old fashion diner food... This is the place. With 60's decor, old fashion jukebox, and alcohol always available... Need I say more? Lol

There's something to be said for receptive coffee service and 24 hour egg breakfasts. Something grand and comforting about it.

The menu here is incredible- it ranges from great Greek food to basic sandwich and breakfast.- the gyro was one of the best. The service can be sharp and on, or it is really busy and you want to walk out. However- share with your server you need to be out of there and they move you out in a crisp professional way. I love the tuna melt (swiss cheese, please) and the desserts vary- great bread pudding and rice pudding- others are ok. This is good food- is it cheap? No- is it moderate and worth the cost? Yes- go and enjoy......I do!~

  • Jenna H.

Food was mediocre at best and the service was pathetic. Went with 3 other people and everyone felt exactly the same. In fact, I may have never been treated quite as badly in any restaurant that I've ever been to, anywhere. Believe it or not, my mother needed a napkin since we didn't have enough for the four of us on our own table so she grabbed one off of the adjacent table, seemingly no big deal, until the 40-something-year-old BUSBOY came over & told us "not to rip napkins off of the other tables". WTF. I have worked in and around the restaurant industry for years and have never heard anything quite as inappropriate and rude as that... and from a busboy no less. Ewww. Last time I walk into that dump. Now to spread the word to everyone at Wynmoor next door...

We go here almost every weekend. The portions are large and the food is good. Staff are nice and know their stuff. For bunch we love the gyro platter, chicken fried steak, and crunchy french toast. Their menu is huge, about 10 pages, so there is something for everyone. Breakfast is served all day.

Lately I've been going to breakfast here at least once a week for a month and I really like it. I used to go here a lot when I lived in Coconut Creek many moons ago so I'm glad I rediscovered this gem. Very Clean restaurant and great service, enough said. The breakfast deals are many and hard to choose from. I get them same thing, bagel with cream cheese, side of bacon and a cup of grits. My buddies get different things from omelets to pancakes with different sides. All the food looks good and I've never heard any complaints. Most important, the coffee is outstanding. I plan on going for lunch at some point, I just love diner food and Lesters does it right. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

We've been several times. It is now our choice for breakfast or diner food. The food is plentiful and well prepared. Service has always been great. The menu is pretty extensive and everything we've gotten has been done right. Waitstaff has been friendly and very helpful with suggestions and substitutions. I have always been asked how everything was when paying at the counter by someone who seemed to genuinely care. The baked goods get me every time.

This is a good family restaraunt to go to. Although I will say there are a lot of elderly people here who might not appreciate a rowdy bunch ;) As for the food the portions are pretty big and there is a large variety of foods to choose from. On the down side the place is kind of dirty and the service is OK.

I love diners and this is a classic dinner. Their specials are pretty good as is their small steak. Most dishes are a real bargain. The chicken soup is delicious. The Greek salad is delicious though not a real Greek salad since it contains lettuce etc. What do I like to eat there as a main course? The small steak is excellent. So is the beef liver and the Greek chicken. I think the pork chops are much too dry. My mother loves their bread pudding and my son loves their Greek combo (tasty but not very authentic). is everything good? No, my wife does not like it at all. Personally, I think she is expecting too much. What I like about the place is that it is a real diner with honest food, really good sanitary conditions and nice people working there. I am happy that it is doing well and I hope it never closes.

Breakfast Sunday mourning tradition. What you expect for a solid breakfast. Pancakes are good, eggs are tough to mess up and French toast has been just fine. Can't comment on lunch or dinner.

When looking for a new local dinner to try we came across Lester's. The inside ambiance is that of a typical diner with a display case for desserts and partitions between seating areas. The waitress Jennifer was very friendly and provided pleasant conversation while taking our order. The menu offered a large variety of food to choose from and I ended up ordering a chicken pram dinner. The menu items were assuredly overpriced even for a diner. The food was delivered to our table quickly and the portions were a little larger than expected but not enough to justify the price. I also ordered rice pudding after dinner but disliked it so much that I only took a few bites. Overall the food was good, all except for dessert. The dinning experience was quiet and informal but the cost was a real drawback. I would possibly go back but with so many other options for dinner in the area it's hard to justify a larger price tag for food that was on the mediocre side.

Even though I had eaten at another Lester's and it wasn't great, I decided to give this place a shot. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and cole slaw; however, I didn't want the cole slaw so I asked the waitress to just throw some extra fries in for the cole slaw. She proceeds to tell me that the cook won't allow her to do this although I can substitute the cole slaw for either apple sauce or potato salad. You can't give me a few extra fries but you are willing to give me potato salad or apple sauce? I chose the apple sauce as I smirked to myself. The sandwich was not great but they did give me a pretty big piece of chicken. I found this place kind of odd too. Not sure exactly why but i left feeling that I probably wouldn't come back. I think I might be done with Lester's. There is another diner I like a whole lot more. If only I could have a flashback as to what that diner is....

Good restaurant, atmosphere, and food. Went to both locations Margate and Pompano. Two different atmosphere, same good food.

Great spot, like the SR84 location better than the Margate, haven't been to the Sunrise one. Overall good food, clean atmosphere, and friendly servers. Pretty much always order the eggs benedict. Love em'! Will go whenever near the SR84 location!

By seeing the exterior of this place, I would never give it a try. Due to all of the breakfast place are all packed with a long waiting line, we decided to risk it. The restaurant was full and there was a wait. We were told there should be 10 to 15 min wait. We waited for only 5 min. The waiter quickly approached and the food came out quick. The food portion was good, the service was ok, and restaurant are clean. Overall great experience ..

If you want to take a trip back five decades or more, this is the place to go. When you walk in, you'll see a pastry case and the obligatory dessert carousel. What else would you expect from a diner? Each table has a small juke box. Sadly, they were all out of order last night, but I hope they have the system fixed when we go back. After being we were given our menu of traditional diner offerings, from breakfast to chicken livers to pie. None of the comfort food options were missing. But I was there on a mission - the French toast, which I had been assured by my husband was the best he'd ever had. So that's what I got. French toast and bacon. Making the perfect French toast is a science. Everything has to be perfectly balanced. If you leave the bread in the eggs and cream for too long, it's a soggy mess, if it's not long enough, it's dry and chewy. The cook here has it down. My three thick slices of toast were perfectly custardy inside, brown with crisp edges on the outside and just sweet enough. They were big enough to almost make two meals. The bacon was a bit on the thin side, but cooked to a perfect crispy crunchy texture. My daughter had already had dinner, so she opted for a piece of chocolate cream pie. They brought her a full quarter of a pie! It had about an inch and a half of filling, an equal amount of whipped cream, a smattering of chocolate sauce, and the edge was crusted with chocolate jimmies. The only issue was that filling needed to be more chocolatey. The waitress was very friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. Prices were quite reasonable. I can't wait to go back!

  • I O.

The food is excellent, service needs work. I only get breakfast food but I have to say $4.00 for 2 slices of toast is absolutely absurd. Coffee refills are far few and in between but the check drops rather quickly on the table. Bargain and better service can be found at your nearest Waffle House.

I usually go to the Lester's on SR84 but I was in the area and I was hungry and I figured it would be the same. It couldn't have been farther from the truth. The demographics in this area of town is more of the 65+ variety and by the pace of the movement of the wait staff it seems to fit. I made the mistake of not being ready to order the minute I sat down. I had to wait another 5 minutes before my order was taken. I ordered breakfast. 3 scrambled eggs, 4 strips of bacon and grits. I said hold the toast. Sometimes I think that servers go through the motions and have habits that cannot be broken. My food came out cold. How is that possible? The bacon was soggy and greasy and the food was Meh. To top it off the server brought me toast that I didn't ask for. When I got the check there was an additional $1.99 on the bottom of the check. I asked the server what the charge was and he said, "oh, that's right..you ordered water" -again with the habit and routine thing. I wonder how many times this has been added on other checks and gone unnoticed. It was clear that the server had a lot on his mind. The Lesters on SR84 is night and day from this place. I probably won't go back until I forget that I had this experience. Britt Zs review of this place was spot on.

I love biscuits with gravy.. I am having breakfast and I I dont come so often here, but as soon as I seat the waiter knew what I wanted. Aside from my hot chocolate I got water without even asking for it, my dish included the b&g and got them first without asking and I was starving. When I was done with the biscuit my plate already came. I didnt get served this time, I got rekt.

I just got back from eating here and it will be the last time. I was greeted by a server bitching to a manager. Then I asked if Ami was working/back from maternity leave. I was told "yes they hired her back then fired here, you have to follow the rules" REALLY! How about telling that to the owner who had 30 violations from the health department in February and the most recent was 28 violations! that's who needs to follow the rules. the food I ordered was disgusting burnt and not made properly another person who needs to follow the rules on how to make the food

Same excuse...don't feel like cooking so let lesters make my dinner!! Started off with soup (it's an all inclusive dinner: soup entree dessert and a drink. Dad got the split pea soup and I had matzo ball. I got the fried chicken and pops got the Greek combo. My matzo ball soup was really good...dad ate all of his split pea. He may have lost his mind but certainly not his appetite!! I would have liked a soup spoon as I got a coffee spoon to eat soup with.the fried chicken IS DELICIOUS. Dad's Greek combo looks good. He's chomping away at it. This was my first time having the fried chicken. .the crispness and coating is cooked to perfection. We both got rice pudding for dessert. Thsnks again for saving me from the stove...lol Carmen who started last week was our server...she was very nice

Not a good experience. Find ANOTHER diner to try! The food is mediocre and the service went downhill. We were there last night for dinner. I got the eggplant parmesan which was fine, very large portion so I took half home. However, my husband ordered the bamburger and didn't like it at all. Seriously only took about 2 bites and set it aside. It tasted like it was one of those frozen patties that had been cook earlier and reheated for our meal...just not tasty for a $10 burger. Other components also looked old like the onion pieces were dried out and the coleslaw had brown pieces of cabbage. So my husband only ate the fries. We let the waiter know that he didn't want it and his demeanor immediately changed, no longer polite and smiling; rather terse and eager for us to leave. Soon after the waiter took the plate away the manager came to us asking why we didn't like the burger (i tried it too and wouldn't have ate it either). Instead of apologizing he was fiercely defensive saying that they serve almost 800 people a day and that their products must be fresh. Only after schooling us on the diner's popularity did he ask my husband if he wanted something else, which he politely declined. The manager was extremely rude and unapologetic for the food. We paid the bill and left to find somewhere else to get my husband dinner. Honestly, being in a interracial relationship, I have always been extra aware of how we are treated. Admittedly, it crossed my mind that discrimination was a factor in our experience here. That sealed the deal for us. It may have been our mistake ordering food other than breakfast items at a diner, but the unprofessional customer service that was demonstrated has turned us off to even giving their breakfast food a try.

I like to find new diners to enjoy a good meal at and I came across this place...it's pretty good. Although, it was extremely cold up in here, the atmosphere feels like you are transported back in time, very large, nice and clean. The service-was cool but could of been a notch better. The food-really tasty with nice portions, which will fill you up pretty quickly. The coffee could have been a little warmer. Anyway, they have a large menu and good prices. **Note: If you are dating someone who enjoys a good portion of food at odd time of the morning and night then check this place out. So, check it...I ordered the apple cinnamon Belgian waffles breakfast, which was so flavorful, fulling and rich...so good, the waffles was nice and fluffy and the apples on top were nice size chunks. Also, their coconut cream pie was smooth with a nice creamy flavor. Good place to have a fulling dinning experience and at a good price.

Mediocre at best. Hostess was very unfriendly, I truly believe this was my first restaurant experience where the hostess walked us to the table, dropped our menus on the table and turned her back and walked away. Her demeanor was almost as if she were angry with us. Our server was nice, he took our orders quickly and the food was also out quickly. My husband asked for hot sauce and he never brought it, but that's okay..sometimes you forget. The food was decent. Nothing spectacular, but it satisfied my "breakfast for dinner" craving. They have a lot of options on their menu from breakfast to country fried steak with mashed potatoes. If the hostess wasn't so terrible I would have given 3 stars.

It was a late night and no where to go in this area so we stopped here. I knew I would probably order something in the breakfast area since I knew I would not go wrong. Entering this place immediately I saw the day's special and was surprised to see many different varieties I did not expect even some lamb specials. Of course it was late and we did not have the choice of these only the late night menu. I opted on an egg bacon sandwich and matzo ball soup. The soup was warm but not hot, I was to tired to complain because it did taste good. The sandwich was just ok but how could you go wrong with that, although I have tasted some incredible tasting egg sandwiches before at other places. So over all this place it decent. No fancy decor, kinda dated but that has never been a factor for me. I would like to try this place out in the day time with all the menu available. On the plus side everyone at this place was super friendly and warm.

I've been a long time fan of Lester's since I ate at their original location on State Road 84. I'm not in this area often but when I am I make it a point to stop by because it's always a great experience. The last time I came in I had the matzo ball soup (so good, like my grandmother makes it!), pork chops, and chocolate pudding. All were delicious and I believe they make their puddings and pastries in house. The waitress, Mindy, was very fast and efficient and Takis the manager is always very pleasant and makes sure the customers are enjoying their food.

  • Alexa L.

Not my best eating experience. The hostess seated a couple who came in after me, then asked what she could do for me. Very off-putting because I was there to be seated and have lunch. Waitress was pleasant, but inattentive. Chicken croquets reminded me of a cafeteria school lunch. (Take that how you will, I don't necessarily mean that as an insult.) On the positive side, the prices were pretty fair and the food was fast in coming out.

Come here with my family sometimes and the food is good. Personally I think it should have more items on the menu like you normally see at other diners but other than that its okay. One thing i love to order from diners is the meatloaf and here The meatloaf was pretty good. Service with a smile, food comes out pretty fast and doesn't take long to get seats on busy days. The desserts are delicious, especially the cheesecakes!

I like Lesters for a diner type restaurant. Always good size meals. Good prices. Attentive staff that works quickly and efficiently. Speed of service from cooking staff is good, food is well prepared. Condiments are on the table and nearly always full, if not they are quick to get what you need. I do prefer the SR 84 location, seems the food flavor is better.

I stopped into Lester's on memorial day for "brunch" as we wanted breakfast and it was noon. We ordered the traditional breakfast with two eggs, home fries (you could chose home fries, hash browns, or grits) and toast (white, wheat, or rye) and sausage (links or patties or you could also chose from ham or bacon). We also ordered a Belgian waffle. Waters and coffee came out quickly, the food took a bit longer than I would have liked, but maybe it really wasn't that long and I was just hungry. I found the eggs to be cooked perfectly and tasted great. The toast was served buttered, which I don't mind, the sausage was cooked well with a little bit of a crisp to it, and the home fries had a good flavor. The waffle was also quite good. Overall not complaints about the food and the service was friendly. The menu was quite large but in my mind diners are really for breakfast foods so I'm not sure I would stray too far from what I had this particular visit. I held back on the a fourth star because Lester's is a little dated, which isn't always a bad thing, but here it has sort of crossed the line from dated to old/dingy. The coffee cups were supposed to be white but were tinted with the stains of probably twenty years of coffee. I get that some of these things are part of the diner vibe, I just kind of wish things were a little bit cleaner. It wasn't dirty in the way that I wouldn't eat there again, but it wasn't clean and welcoming in the way that I'd eat here all that often.

Ok, I'll be honest, I came here on New Year's Day at 10am in the morning; the place was frantic and packed with hungover partyers and hungry families. It also looked like they were understaffed for the holiday rush. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that my experience is probably not the norm (just by looking at the other reviews). First off, this is the largest diner I've seen. Seriously, don't expect to walk into a small mom 'n pop when you dine here. It's got that typical diner feel though -- laminate everything and bouncy vinyl booths. A little outdated, but everything is kept up and clean. They also have wifi (yay), but it wasn't working that morning (boo). Service was friendly enough, a little rushed and impersonal, but the section seemed understaffed, like I said earlier. It looked like there were only two servers for the entire area (needed at least three, especially since it was a holiday). Our water glasses were never refilled and our server took forever to bring out our drinks -- my hot chocolate didn't come out until the end of our meal. He was kind enough to comp it though, since it had taken so long and it was in a smaller cup than usual. The food was good. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted the way it was supposed to. My boyfriend ordered the Plain Waffle with Sausage, I ordered the French Toast with Strawberries, and our friend had their Ham Steak and Eggs Combo (came with Hash Browns and Toast). The Waffle was good, a little average, but it's made well. The French Toast was perfect; thick cut slices and fluffy. I really loved that they gave me fresh strawberries and not the syrupy canned stuff -- it really makes the breakfast a lot fresher. Props to the ham steak for being brined instead of sweetened; not only did it hold up really well, but it tasted great! Verdict? Average -- good for a diner. I wouldn't say no to coming back for another visit the next time I'm in the area.

I have been here several times over the last few years. The food has always been decent so I thought of Lester's when I was looking for a place to get a quick bite. It was late & I just wanted something simple & light. I ordered the matzo ball soup. The soup was really good. I was surprised at how much flavor it had. My friend had the burger platter. To me the burger didn't look that appealing but I am very picky. My friend finished everything so I guess it was good. The server was okay. She did forget to bring me lemon for my water but other than that the service was good. Not exceptional but not bad either. All in all I like it here. There are just so many other places to go that Lester's never comes to mind. Everything is good but just not memorable. The diner definitely can use some modernization & maybe dimmer lighting. The lighting was very bright & was starting to give me a headache. I am sure I will come back at some point. Lester's is local, clean, reasonably priced & the food is decent. Just not great.

I come here once every 10 years and that's enough to remind me that this is the only diner I know that screws up eggs. Urgh.

I have to give this place 5 stars, one because I go there a lot, and two- the service is awesome! I ALWAYS request Nick because he is hands down THE BEST SERVER IN TOWN! Always gives me the 5 star treatment. So I discovered this place when I was in the hospital after having given birth to my now 2 year old daughter because they were the only place who delivered waffles at 8 pm! After three days of hospital food I was craving a good waffle and they delivered! Both literally and metaphorically. So I can thank my daughter for this new love for Lester's since I had never eaten there prior. The portions are large so you won't go hungry lol and the menu caters to any and all appetites. It is reasonably priced and has a very historic feel to it so no it's not modern but definitely pays tribute to it's history with cool pictures of margate and coconut creek from decades ago, which I find super cool. Oh did I mention they're open super duper late? Now I haven't been there after hours but I'm Sure it'll beat Denny's late night any day! And I always go for the breakfast but i have tried some lunch dishes (thanks to whoever Is joining me) and they too are great. I know it sounds silly but they have the best French fries!!! Go to Lester's! You'll never go to Denny's or IHOP ever again!!! you Nick! You rock!!

You walk in this place and it looks like some family owned hole in the wall diner. I haven't tried the food so I can't rate it. We came here just for desserts. The choc pie sounded so good, but when it came, it looked horrible and it even tasted horrible that we asked the waitess to get us something else instead. The Banana Creme pie tasted way too much like bananas and even had huge chunks of bananas, not appealing. Iv'e def been to better diners in south florida.

Sadly, two positive reviews took us to Lester's where we had really mediocre food. Rubbery omelet, doughy bagel, tasteless coffee. And to top it off, if you didn't want potatoes with your eggs, they charge an extra dollar for a couple of slices of tomato!!! Get real. Not much to recommend this place other than our server was sweet and the booths were reasonably comfortable.

This place is AWESOME! The food is delicious. Jewish style breakfast and a huge plate of danishes. The building is really cool mid-century modern design and the interior is decorated with all sorts of neat memorabilia. This is the spring training hangout for the Phillies (I wouldn't rock a Yankees hat in this place). Seriously, this place is a Clearwater landmark for sure and you won't be disappointed.

Have been there many times over the years. Consistently very good food at reasonable prices. I especially like the crispy cold salad platters with generous mounds of cole slaw and potato salad and another mound for the particular platter you order (for example, tuna or chicken salad); you need a big appetite to eat it all.
