Delicious food. We ordered baked ziti and chicken Marsala- very flavorful. Also had the pizza from them its very thin but tasty. My favorite is the mozzarella sticks so good!!

Cheesy Garlic Bread- yes, yes, a million times yes. Definitely order this. Garlic Butter Wings- I tasted 0 Garlic. Any vampire could easily have survived. Also a lack of salt or any other seasoning. Just butter. Which is sometimes ok, I mean, my dog liked them. But I'd recommend a different flavor option. Wish I'd gone with BBQ. Meat Lovin' Calzone- Lots of meat, yummy cheese, and buttery crust. Win. Cannelloni- kind of tasted like fridge... I'm thinking maybe frozen and dethawed? Service- Abysmal. Took over an hour to deliver. I called to check on the order at the hour mark and was put on hold, and then hung up on! Called back and apparently got a different guy, I couldn't tell, and when I said "I just called about a delivery order." He responded with, "I just picked up the phone, I don't know what order your talking about." So I explained, told him my address, it's literally less than a mile away, and he said "It's on the way, five minutes." And hung up. I've worked customer service for 5+ years so I get it. But you're being paid to be nice, and you still can't do it? If I really really need cheesy Garlic bread, count me in. Otherwise, I'm going to try somewhere else :/

I've ordered from Vino's many times. For over a year, it's been my go-to Italian takeout place. I've had excellent and poor experiences here so it's pretty hit or miss. The baked ziti had a terrible aftertaste. I only ordered once and was very disappointed. Chicken parmigiana dinner is not too bad. Usually, the chicken is overfried and apparently it's IMPOSSIBLE for them to give you anything other than spaghetti for the pasta. This leads me to believe that several of their dishes are frozen. The garlic bread that comes with each dinner is decent. Not my favorite though. Side salads are a joke. Don't even bother. Good for late night dinner. Other options available for day time eats!

This place being so close to the gym is such a tease. I love it! Don't let the outside cover fool you. Walking in dim lighting made me feel like I was in someone's dinning room. I go to the register to order and wait while the only noticeable server tells a story about her grandmother to another table. At the time there were only two tables. Practiced a little patience and just waited. But as I waited I over heard great things. The table currently being attended by the waitress was thanking her for the great food. Stated that this was their first time eating here and that Yelp lead them to try it out! Waitress turns around and sees me and immediately starts apologizing for the wait. I tell her that I've had this place bookmarked on Yelp for sometime. I was off Bowden and ran into another "Vino's." I assumed it was the same business just a different location - but I was curious why they would be so close to each other. At the Bowden location I'm told they had lost the least at the Baymeadows location and were forced to relocate and would be closing the Baymeadows location. I told the server there that if the Baymeadows location was really closing I rather order from there before they go away. And I'm happy I did. (Will be reviewing other location). Waitress gives me the biggest laugh. Explains to me that the other restaurant has opened up and copied every aspect of this location. And it seems now they are going as far as lying to customers. She restates that this restaurant has been opened a long time and they have no plans on closing. Once I'm given a menu, I get a nasty taste in my mouth. It's an EXACT copy of the menu I was handed just minutes before from the previous location. I order the Eggplant sandwich. While I wait a father and son come in to grab to large pizzas for what the son excited shouted out "Now our man night can start daddy." I just love the neighborhood feel of this place. I take my sandwich home and open up to layers of cheesy, tomatoey eggplant parmesan goodness on a roll. Some foods are worth getting messy over, and this is definitely one of them. Take a minute to walk in and try this place. Now this place Is the real deal.

Don't order delivery!!!! They'll over look your order. Made us wait over two hours for 1 pizza and a 2 liter, and still charge you, no discount! Ugh Not happy, Vino.

We have been here a month ago, the pizzas are great and to our surprise we got onion rings here, we were carving for onion rings for months now and we were lucky . The staff is rude and don't care much!!

I actually order from this place quite a bit and enjoy there food. Here's the problem. I just ordered through yelp like I normally do. 30 min later I get a call from some guy who speaks poor English and is extremely rude with his tone. He says he was out of the calamari and would I want something else. I said no I'll just take the calzone and cancel the calamari part of the order. He said I have to call the company I ordered through and see if they can cancel it. I said you can't just adjust the order? He said "do you not understand what I'm saying you no give us credit card we cannot do anything about it you gave to other company" in a extremely abrasive manner... I was like so you are telling me that you use a service people can order from and you can't adjust or cancel the orders? He said no and hung up... Took me 45 minutes to find the number for the company to cancel it since it's not listed anywhere at all. Shame... Gonna miss their calzones and calamari...

From subs to pizzas, this place is great and affordable. They even delivered to my office--winner! I have tried several different items and have yet to be disappointed. You should stop in, too, or order out! It will be my turn again, in a couple of weeks, to host our Walking Dead group for our weekly watch party and guess where I am getting food from this time? Vino's!

Ordered Chicken Pizza and Wings from here tonight and it was okay! The gentleman who took my order and the young lady who delivered were both very pleasant. The food itself was okay. Both the wings and the pizza were too salty for us. Wouldn't order from here again...

What a horrible experience! I am not from the area. I called for a huge order with 3XL pizzas, etc. It was noisy in the restaurant and the manager had a thick accent so I did not understand that I was ordering from a different location. Again, I am not from here. When I called him to check where to pick up my order, he started yelling at me and asking me if I spoke English, which is my native language. Then hung up on me. I had to call back and see if they made it so I could come pick it up. Then sent his employee to do the money transaction so he didn't have to face me. He was willing to give up a $65 order, quickly, rather than working with me. What a mean man!

From the outside my expectations weren't very high even with the decent reviews from my fellow yeeps. It's definitely more of a to go restaurant with only 5 small tables & 2 booths, but im so glad I decided to have a seat to enjoy on of the tastiest Calzones I've had so far. Lots of pasta choices to go along with the many pizza options, plus they have a Kids menu for those of you that have little rugrats to feed! The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are more than enough to fill up this Big Man's belly. Next time I'll save a little room for some dessert! If you live in the area or work close by, be sure to give this place a shot! Your taste buds will thank you!

This is in the plaza by the Winn Dixie I frequent..so I've seen it a million times..then I found out they delivered, and you can do your order online! I ordered a large deluxe pizza some jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks..it came to me in less than 30 mins, they send an email confirmation also..everything was really good, with the pizza being the standout..the sauce is awesome and the toppings are plentiful..great dinner..and lunch tomorrow!

I am a very good customer but the last few times I have ordered it has been mistake after mistake. On average I order 3 times weekly from this place. Even when I am spending over $40 on an order I get forgotten salad dressing and forgotten soda. This last time they forgot my 2 liter diet cokes (two of them). Then when I call they try and bring me back diet Pepsi. The driver was rude and said it was the same. I beg to differ. I'm disappointed and think I will find a new pizza place.

The place looks a little run down, but don't judge this restaurant by its cover. The food tastes wonderful. We didn't wait long to get our food. The kids enjoyed the pepperoni pizza, lasagna, and pepperoni calzone. My girlfriend had the steak wrap and I had the steak and grilled onions calzone. The calzone was baked/cooked really nice. The steak's flavor was marvelous. We also ordered 20-pc hot wings. Loved the sauce! It would have been perfect if the wings were cooked a little longer. I like them kinda crispy, but we still devoured them. Their crispy crust personal pizza is only $5.99 for a 10" and their kids lasagna is big enough to feed an adult. I used a $25 certificate that I received free from restaurant.com via Coke rewards. Vino's Pizza and Grill certificates are currently available for purchase at restaurant.com . You can buy a $25 certificate for $10. At Groupon, for a limited time, pay $11 for $20 worth of casual Italian fare. Try it!

A nondescript pizza place tucked into the back of a large strip mall complex is the kind of place where I never know what to expect, but this place is quite the hidden gem in Baymeadows. The place isn't anything fancy, basically a take out and delivery shop which also has a few tables if you want to dine in as I did. The service is very efficient and friendly, in fact the waitress kept refilling my drink even though I was only a few feet from the machine and wouldn't have minded doing it myself. The food is excellent and some of the best pizza I've had in quite awhile. The cheesy bread is fresh, hot, and tasty without being at all greasy. The main attraction here is the pizza. The New York style hand tossed veggie pizza is worth a try. It has lots of toppings and is cooked just right without being too greasy or doughy. Frequently, I have to blot the extra grease off of my pizza but that never even entered my mind here. We ordered the extra large pizza and despite having 3 people, we had leftovers so they give you lots of food. For excellent pizza, I'd forget the big chains and go here. Is Washington, DC within their delivery area since I was in town visiting family?

Great pizza for the price. It isn't gourmet but it's solid and they deliver! Ingredients were tasty and crust was good. We had a large deluxe pizza and an XL pepperoni/onion pizza plus an order of jalapeño poppers delivered for $30. I tried ordering through the yelp app but it told me my address was not in the delivery area. I went directly to the website and it accepted my address for delivery. There are great coupons on their website too. myvinospizza.com

If you don't want to deliver- DONT MARKET YOURSELF AS DELIVERY. I used to order delivery from here almost once a week. All of a sudden when I try to order delivery online it says they don't delivery to my address. I call and they no longer deliver to my address. I live half a mile down the road. Complete horse crap.

  • Lauren S.

The owner is incredibly rude. Amazingly outstandingly rude. There is no other mom and pop pizza place around and it's the only way this guy stays in business. I called to cancel my order because my wallet was stolen and he asks "why would you order if you didn't have any money?!" Are you kidding me? Why would I call to cancel if I was inconsiderate? Needless to say I won't be returning. Looks like some other pizza joint is going to get my business once a week like he use to. And the pizza moderate to good at best.

The food is great! I love their pizza... The service not so much. They're pretty much always rude

    (4)
  • Wes G.

Good food (still not NY pizza), I like the owner. It's close by and his prices are very cheap compared to most. It's your local pizza place. Not like big names like Pizza hut etc..

    (4)
  • Kaitlin E.

Food is pretty good but staff is always ruse and any changes will cause you a significant upcharge. For example, I've ordered pasta and asked for "pink" sauce--marinara and alfredo sauce mixed together. Most recently the charge for this change was almost $5. I understand that there will be food cost to make their inventory correct but the price seems to go up every time. Even to switch sauces--alfredo instead of marinara--there is an upcharge. The whole draw to this restaurant was that is was cheaper and I end up paying $25 for some pasta and a side item!!

This place is awesome. Ate here for the first time today and will definitely be back! The antipasto salad is amazing, and so was the pizza.

Pizza was ok. Gyros were ok. Not too impressed. Not a whole lot of flavor or authentic style. My favorite in the area is still "the loop" restaurant.

Pizza was good, not great. Service was slow because there was only one guy who was working the counter and all the tables. Prices were okay.

I have never been treated so horribly by a restaurant OWNER. I ordered (online) Spaghetti and Meatballs. The price is 8.99 and comes with a side salad and garlic bread. I was pretty stoked after reading awesome reviews. I received my food, and open a bag filled with liquids. Soaked brown bag, with what I assumed is the sauce. I thought "no biggie". I tried the spaghetti- it was absolutely disgusting. I was extremely unhappy and called the restaurant. He yelled at me over the phone, told me to call the online ordering company about a refund, and hung up on me. You're a RESTAURANT OWNER and treat people that spend and have spent money at your restaurant. I call the company, and they inform me that he refused to refund me the full amount, and only refund me $6.69. They transfer me back to him, and he continues to yell at me (over $2.30) and tells me that since I am Italian and like Italian food that I should go to Italy and get my food from there. Then he hangs up on me again. Seriously? Apparently, this is how he treats people that could be continuous customers if he treated them kindly. I wouldn't spend another dime there, there are actually restaurants that are delicious and respect their customers that deserve my money. Stay away from this Jerk!!!! I hope you enjoy your $2.39. You may want to invest it in a class that treats manners and respect.

Whenever I visit Jacksonville I always order from this pizza place. The food is great and the delivery person is always friendly. I ordered online and it's fast and easy.

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Order two pizzas and salads to be delivered...over 1 1/2 hours later...no delivery. Spoke with manager four times and the driver once to give him directions to our location. Food never delivered...manager had a excuse for everything and won't give a discount and even would credit account after the food wasn't delivered - said we would have to call our credit card company to cancel. Terrible service...don't recommend. Period.

Awesome food! First time I ate Vino's I ordered delivery was not disappointed with what I got at all. Now still not disappointed dining in. Highly recommend this place you will love the food.

After placing delivery order online i wait for 1 hour. No pizza. I call to check on order.. Girl:: "Oh this is delivery?" Me: 'YES!' Girl:: "It will be there in 10 min" 20 min later the pizza showed up Cold & the bill was higher than what my online receipt said. Decent pizza, horrible service!

Excellent! I really liked the "Mom & Pop" feel of a local business, not a chain. I don't like chains too much. We got a Sicilian style deluxe extra large pizza(16 slices). it a little bit too much dough, but it was good and tasty. We ordered cheese garlic bread with marinara sauce. I got the tiramisu for dessert. Overall, I was satisfied, as well as my family was. They won me over. They have a new customer now. Check them out. Come hungry!

  • Nicolette G.

I was in the area visiting and decided to order delivery. I ordered an antipasto salad and a chicken pesto sub. The salad was nothing to write home about, and the sub wasn't great, either. The salad dressing was pretty gross, as it was the prepackaged cheap kind. The coldcuts on the salad looked like (and tasted like) they just came out of a package of cheap meat. The sub lacked flavor and was a letdown. Don't think I'd order here again.

BEWARE, this Southside location on Old Baymeadows Road is a dump and dirty and the owner "Matt" (his made-up American name) enjoys arguing with the customer!! Ordered a HOT ham & cheese sub and I got it cold. Asked them to warm it up and the clown at the front taking orders got this cocky attitude look on his face. They warmed it up but then the bottom of the sub roll was burnt. Told them I just wanted a refund, not a good day at Vino's, I would try again some other day. Well then "Matt", the apparent owner of the restaurant, started arguing with me and said he would not give me a refund!! Said I ate the sandwich, when I had one bite. Also said I drank a drink, and I just got there. Then he said he would re-make the sandwich but was demanding that he would not give me a refund. I said that was fine. With their attitudes in this restaurant, I wondered then if this re-made sub was safe to eat?? Maybe tampered with, spit on, whatever. Didn't have a trusting feeling about these people after their continuous demanding arguing with the customer. That's my experience! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T EVER EAT AT VINO'S ON OLD BAYMEADOWS ROAD!

I ordered online at 11pm and they delivered! I had a Mediterranean calzone which comes with fresh spinach, feta cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Also an order of wings hot and well done. The food was fresh and tasted great. Arrived in about 40 minutes.

First time here and we will not come back. Got the mint magazine coupon, came in to eat. They guy said we could not use the coupon if we were not taking it home. The coupon clearly states dine in or take out. So we are going home and will never be back.

I ordered the Greek salad pizza and it was delicious! Delivery was within the time frame they told me and cannoli was completely yummy!

I was visiting Jacksonville from out of town and found this local pizza joint on yelp. It seems like more of a delivery place as the dining area is very small. The waitress was very nice though and attentive despite handling both delivery phone orders and the tables inside. I ordered a large pizza to split (thin crust) and it was very good. It was not greasy at all as some NY style pizzas can be. The prices were very reasonable also. Overall I'd pick this over any of the chain joints any day.

    (4)
  • Drew B.

Just happened to be in the area and took a chance, and boy was it worth it. How is altamonte springs the closest place to brooklyn? No man knows. This pizza is the real deal. I used to not like thin crust, until I had real NY style pizza, and that's what you get here. Five stars because this is probably the best pizza you'll find here.

  • Candace M.

We bought a Groupon deal for this restaurant. Ordered a pepperoni mushroom pizza and bbq wings. Wings were very tasty. Bbq Sauce was delicious. Pizza was tasty, a little under cooked for my liking, but I forgot to order my pie well done. Overall good experience. Will come back and recommend to friends.

In Jacksonville for the night from NC for a soccer game. Found Vinos on yelp and it was amazing. Great food, great service! Very small and looks a bit old from the outside but is a MUST try if you are close.

This place is close to me and has cheap delivery fee. Ordered here 3 times. Steak, onion, cheese sub & meatball & onion pizza. Both were good, not the best but will order again. Fast delivery.

Loved the pizza from this place. My wife had their Pizza Florentina and it was outstanding. Got nothing but good things to say about a cheese pizza and their calzones as well! We have a new " go to" pizza place that delivers!

AMAZING! Fresh, generous toppings, crispy crust. Well made pizza. I was impressed with the "meat deluxe" and cheesy garlic bread.

  • Kd F.

Very poor service! A team of me and my fellow co worker's placed a delivery order tonight and Vino's quoted us a 1 hour turn around time for delivery. These people showed up after 1 hour and 30 minutes and my gyro was freezing cold. I called back and made a complaint requesting that Vino's refund me the $6.99 and they refused. The lady on the phone assured me that Vino's would redeliver a hot order within the next 5-10 minutes. It gets better these people showed up an hour late again with another cold gyro. Vino's have lost several customer's at my place of employment over a meager $6.99.

  • Alex S.

Good pizza, ready quick. It's expensive for what you get though. I hate $20 pizzas. The rest of the menu is really where the value is, though. The subs are great, and mostly between $5 and $7. Meatball subs whaaattttt?! Loaf of garlic bread is $1.75 and it was good. Definitely want to get the marinara with it. The sauce is good.

This is good pizza for the area. They offer eggplant pizza that is delightful. Not gourmet, just good greasy pie.

  • Amy H.

After 90 minutes of waiting for our food and several calls to the restaurant inquiring about the status of our order, the driver called and said he couldn't find us. I gave him a very specific address and location and even gave him turn by turn directions. The restaurant was not that far from us- a couple miles. 20 minutes later- we still didn't have our food. The driver wouldn't answer his phone. I called the restaurant and requested a refund. I was told I could not have a refund and should contact my credit card company to dispute the charge! This sounded ridiculous to me- but I did contact my credit card company...who also said it was ridiculous. Terrible customer service....Taking money and not delivering goods is stealing....so now I am waiting for the dispute to be resolved through my credit card. In the meantime- they still have my money. So I have no idea what the food is like here- but I do know I would never patronize this place again as they clearly do not care about customers.

This was our first time ordering from Vinos and we were impressed. I was looking to try a new place that wasn't a chain and found this place because they had a groupon. The outside doesn't look like much, but the inside was nice and we really enjoyed the pizza. The crust was thin and crispy and everything had good flavor. It's a little farther from my house than I normally drive to get pizza but I would definitely recommend the place and would order again if I was already in that area. Ordering online was very easy as well.

  • Jacob J.

Authentic Italian food at a great price. The very generous portions fill you up and satisfy your cravings. I would go here over carabas and olive garden. They specialize in pizza, so grab a slice at some point. I've had the eggplant and the chicken parmesan, and they were heavenly. The fried calamari is exceptional. My only complaint is that they are very busy and can make it difficult for the small staff to handle, but they manage to do a good job regardless.

We are staying with friends from out of town and wanted a cheap delicious dinner. I got the stuffed shells dinner and my partner ordered the chicken parm. It was soo good! Basic side salad, delicious garlic bread and tiramisu! Busy and yum but nice and helpful guy at the desk.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
