This Place Rocks!!! Kelsey has got to be the friendliest manager I have ever met and the the staff there is great too. You can not go wrong with this place, especially if you like Fresh Mexican food and Hot Sauce. Amazing selection of Hot Sauce...some are OTC, Over The Counter Hot!!! ha Have a beer while you wait...good selection of Dos Equis XX, Corona and Others.... Ask Kelsey about her Special Queso Mix....to Die For! Enjoy

Dear vegetarians and vegans, beware of cross contamination. I am allergic to cheese and do not eat animal flesh so when we ordered a veggie noritto bowl. Halfway in I feel this really chewy strange taste in my mouth, well it was chicken! So I start to investigate the food and I find small cheese shreds on the beans. The managers were really nice and refunded us our money but they really need to educate their staff on dietary restrictions !!! At least at chipotle you can see what employees are putting in your food. Will go there instead. Sorry Tijuana !

Great food at a cheap price and the nicest people!!! The burritos made with the freshest of ingredients are delicious. The beer is only $2. The atmosphere is festive and still family friendly. The 4 servers I met here are all SOOO nice. You really feel welcomed here. They even remember my name on my second visit here. This the best bang for the buck restaurant I have ever been to, and I am from NYC!!

Good fast service, especially during the lunch rush. Right next to work so it's super convenient and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Couldn't be happier with overall service. Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly even though we came in just before closing. Would highly recommend! Food is great.

Some problems because they are new. I hope things will improve in time.

We went to dinner there last night. I had the deliciously tender steak fajitas. My friends had the beef tacos with drink for $5.87 and the monstrous beef burrito for an equally reasonable price. Everyone was amazed at the quality of the food considering the prices. PS: no hormones in the meat, which is another big plus. The staff was friendly and always available for water refills, extra salsa, guacamole and queso cheese! We will definitely be back! Goodbye to Chipolte and their boring limited menu across the street.

Been coming here since it opened a couple months back. The service is awesome and hasn't wavered one bit like most places do months after grand openings. It's not quite fast food. You order at the register then they bring it out to you. Quick but good in between. Much preferred vs Moe's or Chipotle on that end. Good iced tea, soda and a few modest domestics draft and bottle. Inexpensive. Service A+ Food A- Price A Cleanliness A Not sure what else to grade on... I'll update more later

Ordered my usual Queso and chips. "My favorite queso" i could eat just that and be satisfied. Then ordered blackened chicken and black bean tostados with all the toppings. Yum! My wife had the blackened chicken and refried bean flautas with all the toppings. As usual everything was great. Have never had a thing here I didn't like. Of course the sauce bar is a must. Happy hour prices are great from 4-7pm ($2-drafts $10-buckets all appetizers ate under $5). I am sure coming back real soon!! The staff her is amazing very attentive, always with a smile and a good recommendation of what is good.

I about lost my mind when I ordered a "beef" taco and was given ground beef in a premade taco shell. That is NOT a Mexican beef taco. I can get better Mexican food from a gas station in California. No wonder this franchise features so many hot sauses, you have to cover up the taste.

Went there for the first time tonight. Walked in and looked around. It must have been clear that it was our first time as the guy behind the counter jumped out and helped us right away. He brought us menus and sat us down in a place where you order from the counter. Very nice touch I felt. Went with the family and ordered the usual burritos, tacos, salads, etc. he brought us out chips & salsa on the house ( second nice touch as the place across the street charges). The place has a much nicer decor than your typical chipotle and Qdoba. I would say very good overall, the same quality as the others but a little more restaurant style served on plates instead of in foil wrappers. The taco salad was loaded and too big to finish. The only problem was the burritos- it felt like we were eating a rolled up tortilla. They put the rice and beans on the place and there isn't much left for the burrito. They need to find a way to fill it up, even if they have to charge a bit more. Other minor issue- put the soft drinks out for self-service. Come on, if we can check out at the grocery store ourselves we can fill up our own drinks (they did have coke zero so I'll give them a pass). they did come around and refilled our drinks so it worked out. Overall the service was excellent and that's hard to find in a restaurant where you order at the counter.

This is a small yet expanding chain (or franchise I'm not sure). That's OK! I always ALWAYS get the SAME thing. I get 2 hard tacos, black beans (NO MEAT), sour cream, lettuce and tomato. Try the hot sauce bar. I really appreciate that the ingredients are on the description of each sauce. When I don't want stinky after breath I avoid those with garlic listed in the ingredients. They have Taco Tuesdays with taco specials. They also did this thing where you could order pink tacos and some portion of the proceeds went to a breast cancer fund. I really liked that too. The servers come around and ask you if you need a refill or anything else. They also come and clear your table when you are finished instead of the usual self clean up. I think they is original. A++++ Thanks Tijuana Flats!

I kept on hearing rave reviews about Tijuana Flats. So instead of going to Chipotle across the street, or Five Guys next-door, I went to Tijuana Flats on a Tuesday at lunchtime. The place was very clean, very new looking, and the menu looked great. So I ordered tacos specifically, steak tacos. They came with chips and a drink and it was about six dollars and change. Ingredients tasted fresh but that old cliché from the Wendy's commercials, a million years ago,"where's the beef"? was what my experience was with the tacos just filled with vegetables, a little cheese, a small dollop of sour cream maybe and little chunks of steak. I just don't get it. Maybe my expectations are just too high, but this was just a good experience. I couldn't give it any more than three stars. Oh, 5 stars to the selection of hot sauces, but alas, I like mine mild.

Really good Mexican food with fantastic service. The food here is very good, but because the menu is not displayed on the wall, you have to hunt for a menu before ordering. There are a ton of options and I am sure you can order anything you want so it is very customizable. I stuck with a traditional burrito, chips and guac and the portions were quite large and satisfying. One of the things I liked was the table service and the attentive staff. Perhaps because it is a new restaurant, but the staff really make sure your food and experience is excellent and that is greatly appreciated by me. I will definitely be coming back here many times.

All Food & service was quite good except for rice & the salsa I didn't care for. Large selection of hot sauces to sample. Manager is very helpful. Good dining experience. The quesadillas with retried beans & chicken was very good. The loaded chips are also excellent. Food may be similar to chipotle except this place is not quiet. Everything is upbeat including the staff, drink refills are behind the counter so they do it for you. Staff is actively helping out, opening doors, serving food to table, checking on you throughout meal, cleaning up table, bringing bowl of water for doggies, etc. Everyone of them were so helpful. So unexpected. My kids were surprised to see the manager so hands on happily working and not like you typically see them just telling others what to do.

As a taco lover this is a good place for a quick fix. These aren't gourmet tacos but they definitely fulfill the craving. They also have a hot sauce bar with more than 12 types to choose from. I recommend also trying their guacamole.

Wow honestly I can say the customer service was absolutely amazing.... so friendly and upbeat from the time you hit the door. I went on a Tuesday so it was taco Tuesday 2 tacos with chips for 5 dollars .... but I had a hemp burrito instead (which I must say it was GOOD AS HELL) ... wayyy better then Chipotle

I've been going to Tijuana flats since 2006, it's consistently great in every location. I was at this one tonight and food as usual was very good, but I was also very impressed with an employee named Jake. He was friendly and attentive. I saw him bring over samples of the favorite hot sauces(they have a hot sauce bar) to first time diners. They have a really good thing going for them at this location. Great value.

I got a refried bean salad today with no cheese or sour cream (vegan version). First of all somehow their fried tortilla shell was made so it holds the bare minimum. Second there was barely any beans in there! I have had the same salad at the west boca location and this wasn't the case. Also Tijuana Flats does not offer substitutions for vegans (example extra black beans or guac instead of cheese and sour cream), that would be nice. I will not be going to this location and will be visiting the Chipotle across the street.

New, clean, restaurant. Great manager circulating to give good customer service. Not usually found in restaurants this size. Did not find a menu right away. They are at the door. You have to know that. I ordered an appetizer trio of chips plus cheese, guacamole, and salsa. Good choice. Ordered enchiladas with chicken. Not so good. The tortillas tasted like the packaging. I asked the manager to replace the entree and she gave me a better-tasting enchilada with flour tortillas. I didn't use the hot sauce table. Made no sense. I prefer salsa. I liked the fresh tasting veggies.

Brand new, clean, and delicious! Everything you can ask for in a chain place like this! I've been to a few different locations now and I can easily say that this is the best. My favorite is the steak tacos- perfectly seasoned steak 100% of the time!

Fanflippingtastic! The service here outdid the food. We've eaten at a Tijuana flats before and weren't impressed. This time our noritto bowls were super delicious. The steak is phenomenal! The girl that helped us gave me a tip on how to order my steak bowl (add fajita veggies) and am I ever glad she did! The manager was walking around and checking on all the tables offering refills and generally being very hospitable. Great environment, super clean and amazing customer service.

Friendly staff, clean environment, fresh food. Don't forget to give a tip when you order your food. They do not have any trash cans; the staff has to pick up after you.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
