I am a big fan of Lonni's. I used to work right next to it and frequented as often as I could without wearing it out, so to speak. I order the Sunni bird. It is killer. The bread is thick-cut and made fresh on-site daily. Their meats and toppings are also ultra-fresh. The tomato bisque is also excellent and a favorite of mine with the 1/2 sandwich cup of soup special they run for lunch. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because a couple of weeks ago, I called in for a simple, 3 sandwich order and the woman that answered was rude. I asked to speak to the owner and she hung up on me. That's no bueno... Either way, Lonni's is a baller place to get some lunch. Go check them out!

Have the sandwiches gotten lighter on the ingredients recently? I hadn't been here in years and got a mango breeze with turkey today. Seems like the sandwiches used to be thicker. Still good, but a little skimpy, especially for the price.

Lonnie's gourmet sandwiches is a great lunch spot! They have soups, salads and sandwiches of course. The sunny bird is my favorite sandwich of all time. It is on fresh baked bread piled high with turkey and sprouts. That's just the beginning though what really makes it so delicious is the the cream cheese and honey french dressing. It's such an unusual sandwich but absolutely mouth watering! I highly, highly recommend you try it!

Like the concept, but Lonnie's falls short of expectations. I've watched it slowly decrease in quality for 3 years, while service remains....strange(?). I've always felt like I'm bothering the staff by being there. Not friendly in the least. And for the price of their grilled cheese, I expect the bread to not be soggy, which it is. I keep coming back because lunch choices are limited in this area for business.

Ordered for delivery to my office from here and everything went wonderfully. I hate ordering delivery and having it come wrong, this place, always does it right. I ordered a half an Albuquerque Turkey $6.59 (pile of turkey with swiss, and chipotle mayo-no lettuce-extra sauce) and a half a Custom Veggie $3.99(provolone, sprouts, avocado, lettuce tomatoe, sweet onion, no cucumber, lightly toasted with dressing on the side) They get your order right no matter how complicated you make it. True pros. Yes, delivery will take at least an hour so order early. Fresh and delicious. A great place for lunch! On and one half of a sandwich is plenty for one person I found out!

One of my favorite sandwich shops of all time because they make an awesome vegetarian sub. They have fresh bread that looks like it would be dense, but is in fact soft and airy. The ingredients (toppings) are also fresh as well. I frequented the downtown location but this one is closer to my current job. The staff are very friendly and service is usually quick. The sandwich prices are higher than some places and you'll pay $7-10 for a meal, however, they deliver with quality ingredients and products. This is a must visit for sandwich lovers!

My husband brought home sandwiches from here for us to try after raving about it for months. As soon as I bit into the sandwich, 1 word came to mind- FRESH. The bread and ingredients were some of the freshest I had ever sank my teeth into. I had the Alburqurque Turkey and thought it was great. I tried the Sunny Bird and wasn't that impressed, but only because I wasn't crazy about the items on it. It was still an incredibly fresh sandwich. I can't wait to go back there and try another one.

Lonni's is a sandwich shop that caters to the business lunch crowd based on their hours. The quality of the food is good and the value is slightly better than their almost next door competitor, Jimmy John's. The real difference for me is the delivery convenience factor and hours of operation. I know I can order from JJ 7 days a week for most of the day. Lonni's has a much shorter schedule and delivery is not really their thing. If I am close I would go, but it is not so much better than JJ's that I would go out of my way for it, especially since it is not as convenient. They do offer breakfast, soups and salads as well, but again they have competition with Panera down the street. I am all for local businesses, but they truly have to be better and offer more other than simply being local.

I order from here at least once a week. Everything is always super fresh and very good. I usually get the chef salad which is fantastic. Today Is the Custome Veggie which I had last week as well so good. If you havent tried the Rice Bread I highly recommend it... they bake every day.

I dare you to leave hungry when ordering the hot rubenette. "Ette" because its supposed to be light but I don't see how with all the full flavor of a normal turkey rueben. It was huge!

If I could give Lonni's more than 5 stars I would. I work pretty close to them and it's, by far, my favorite lunch spot. The food is always really fresh and they have several vegetarian options. The rice bread is always super fresh and soft and the Wild Rice soup is like nothing else I've ever had. Definitely try them when you're in the area!

Great quality food and friendly people accentuate this little Deli. The veggies and meat are always fresh and there is usually a good chance that you'll bump into the Owner checking to see if you were happy. Very clean environment and tasty food! The 'nutty chicken' and Turkey chili are awesome!

Oh Lonnie's....I ordered the half soup half sandwich combo. Ordered the chicken pasta soup with a Cuban. I enjoyed the soup...had chunks of chicken and tri colored pasta. Lacked salt but overall decent. The Cuban could've been pressed a little bit more however the bread was soft and tasty. The Cuban was better than most sub shops but still not an authentic one. Overall not a bad little spot and within walking distance of many businesses and residences.

Lonni's is one of my favorite sandwich places in St. Pete. Although the staff is not the friendliest, the food more than makes up for that fact. Everything here is huge! The Nutty Chicken Salad is flavorful. I love the celery, almonds, and grapes. My go-to sandwich is the Custom Vegetarian. I get it with cream cheese, honey french, and sunflower seeds. Amazing. My Husband's favorite is the Mango Breeze with turkey. The curried mango chutney really makes it a special sandwich. The wild rice bread provides an earthy taste and the best kind of sandwich foundation. The fresh fruit plate is gorgeous and perfect as a side instead of chips or pasta salad. They also have a pretty decent Cuban. I would eat here every day if I could.

Their sandwiches are really good! And the portion size is huge. The staff is very friendly and there is indoor and outdoor seating

I've been eating lunch here for the last year since I started working in the area. I usually do takeout. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The sandwiches are great and I love their fluffy bread. The salads are inconsistent. I am usually disappointed when I get a salad from here. Lettuce looks sad and wilted and has even been brown on occasion. What really keeps me coming back to Lonni's is their cookies. They are so good! If you're looking for a mid-week treat, stop in for a huge cookie. Go for the chocolate chip or the Reese's pnut butter. If you get the chocolate chip, you might as well get the one topped with chocolate icing/ganache/wonderfulness. They will deliver which is a nice perk if you're stuck in the office and can't get out to grab food.

Lonni's has a good selection of your typical sandwiches: pastrami on rye, pressed Cuban, curried tropical chicken salad, turkey reubenette, avocado wrap and others; however, they have recently downsized their menu, so it no longer seems to stand out to me. However, their menu continues to be a good choice for a simple lunch. Almost all their sandwiches are made with their specialty breads: potato, wild rice, Cuban. In addition, they offer a selection of soups and salads, with several vegetarian options. It's a good place for a quick and casual lunch, and they will also cater.

I grabbed some lunch here the other day based on a friendly recommendation. I feel like with sandwich shops things are hit or miss. I was happy that this was a good experience. I ordered a chipotle chicken sandwich which was good and had some tomato bisque soup. Both items were tasty and compatible in quality and taste to Panera. If your in the area and need some lunch I would swing by.
