This place is just outstanding! We were recently on vacation in the area, and some friends of ours met us there for dinner. Excellent food, excellent service! You have just got to try the garlic knots... to die for! Meanwhile, the salads were excellent, and the pizza was the best ever!!!! Even better, was our sever, Kendall, who was very, very friendly and attentive! I would give this place a ten star rating if I could!!!!!!

Gianni's is close to my job. For that reason I visit occasionally. I like their food well enough, but it doesn't stand out in my mind as a go to place for pizza. Their brick oven is nice to cook the pizza in and it does add a smidgen of flavor but nothing to write home about. Their ingredients have always been fresh and their service has been just fine. Three stars for Gianni's is what I give them because I never have been wowed. I will still go there for a quick lunch bite. You should check it out if you need a quick bite.

You MUST try this place for Italian. The pizza, bacon & artichoke, is fantastic and they make, homemade, the best meatballs and sauce with ricotta I've ever had in a restaurant. The meatballs are pork heavy so very moist and the sauce is sweet but not sugary. Oh so tasty! I rarely order sauces or meatballs from places but this time was delicious. My bf and I agree that it's on par, if not better than Pompillios and Dewey's.

I'm surprised I haven't review this place sooner! I've been here a million times since I've moved to the Bradenton area. The staff here was quick to know who I was considering I was in there once a week with my husband. The pizza is very good, but I always seem to get the baked rigatoni! It's very clean and fast! That's why we always come here! Enjoy!

Was excited to try the gluten free pizza here and it was very good. Very friendly environment. Will be back for sure!

Craved pizza for about two days, asked my little one what he wanted for dinner & he said pizza, searched Yelp reviews & decided to try 'em out. Well, I'm glad we did. It was slightly busy on a Friday night but we we're seated immediately. Our server was pleasant , the garlic Parmesan wings were amazing (they're were cooked to perfection; just they way I like my wings), I had the white spinach garlic pizza and that was good. And I took a piece on the lemon cake home which was light but more importantly moist & not overwhelmingly lemony (it was lemony but not like artificial like). Although, a tad bit pricey (no one really cares about price when the food is good). I can't wait to go back for more wings.

Excellent NY style pizza and perfectly aldente pasta. The service is also great. If you're in the mood for Italian food, give Gianni's a try!

My parents always get the Grandma's pie and love it. I gave it a try and wasn't in love. I felt it was missing substance. While I was eating it, I felt like I was still hungry.

This place has great pizza. I believe we had the Italian margherita pizza and some wings. They both were cooked well and were extremely tasty. We were visiting out of town and decided to eat somewhere and luckily we chose here. The food isn't too pricy. I definitely recommend.

Best pizza in Bradenton! Thin, crispy, and delicious! Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Service is fast and very friendly. I highly recommend!!!!

We were all craving a good pizza after our 9 hour day at Busch Gardens. This place did not disappoint! Our waiter Chris was excellent and the pizza was perfect with fresh toppings, large slices and served right from the oven. The garlic knots were heavenly! Would highly recommend!

Garlic knots were good but the chicken parm sandwiches were too salty and when you bit into the chicken I had to check if it was cooked all the way because it was chewy. The grilled chicken was also just alright. Not worth the price. Hopefully the pizza is better.

The owners are from New York City as is my family. This is one of a very few pizza parlors (as we used to call them) in the Sarasota/Bradenton area who make a real pizza. We've only been there once and we will return. All we tried was the pizza but we will try their entrees next time. Worth the drive, pleasantly surprised. Restaurant looks rather plain from the outside in in a typical strip-center. You can tell the quality of the pizza by the excellent cheese, tasty and stretchy. It's the real deal.

Gianni's has more than just one location. We were very surprised with the modern look of the interior when we entered. They stay really busy because there are not that many places to eat in the area. The pizza crust is delicious, light and airy. We ordered the Margherita Pie, which is supposed to be the house special. There was not much cheese on it at all, so you really do not feel like you are eating a pizza. While it is healthier, it does not help the pizza craving that I had. We also tried the Garlic Fries because it sounded really interesting. It was fries in a bowl doused with olive oil, garlic powder, and some Parmesan cheese. I was really hoping for fresh garlic and not the powdered stuff that stays with you for days. We will be back to try it again once more.

Fried Mozzarella on menu and when asked, the young lady at the counter had no clue what I meant????? Pizza good, but 3 "Imported" cheese wedges for $7.49......CRAZY!!

We discovered Gianni's about a year and a half ago. It's our 'go-to' neighborhood Italian place even though it's not in our neighborhood! Every dish we've had has been fresh and tasty, but the pizza and calzone are stand outs. They happily make any adjustments you request and seem genuinely interested in your satisfaction. The place is spotless and the service is friendly and efficient. Try it, you'll be glad you did.

I've been wanted to try Gianni's for awhile because they make the entire strip center smell so good. We finally picked up a Meatlovers and a Godfather pizza. It was pretty good but definitely not worth the price. I knew what it was going to cost going in, so I thought the pizzas would be loaded...not so much.

I've been there multiple times over the past year or so, since I've moved to Florida from a suburb of NYC, and I must say that the food here is incredible. I grew up on some real good Italian food and Gianni's does a magnificent job at accomplishing what many others in this area just cannot even get close to. I appreciate the brick oven style of all the food, since it adds a distinct flavor that just cannot be achieved through traditional ovens. It is one of the reasons why their pizza and wings are a go-to for me when I go to Gianni's. The food is not the only great thing about the place. The design of the restaurant is modern, yet classic. It gives you a homey feel with all the older pictures of Italy, yet contemporary with the cool paintings on the wall. It is equipped with a few TVs that always have the game you want to watch playing, but it is not blaring, so if you don't want to watch it you can easily ignore it. One of the best things about this restaurant is the staff, all starting from the top. Gianni, better known as Johnny, is a very hard working man who takes pride in his work, and it is evident in his product. It's obvious even here on Yelp, as he responds to reviews, good or bad, and tries to rectify anyone's issues they may have had. The staff are always extremely friendly, helpful, and willing to accommodate any sort of requests you may have. If you've been there before, chances are they'll remember you and make you feel like a regular. 5 out of 5 stars, without a second thought. PS: The cannoli is amazing here. And just to be clear, I've had a cannoli in world renowned Taormina, Sicily.

Pizza is really good. If you want the authentic Italian style pizza then this is the place to go. The pizzas are thin but are loaded with several toppings. The cheese is awesome. I find them a little on the pricey side but they are good.

This is hands down one of the best pizzerias that I have been to since being down here since August. We actually had the same waitress as well and she remembered us. I am from NY this is by far the closest tasting NY/NJ pizza here in Florida.

We have been there a number of times at Gianni's NY Pizza in Bradeton and their place is a very special interior with great pictures that are historical and very decorative. Their pizza and garlic knota and calzones are all incredible dough. They clearly take their time making it right and the freshness is obvious to all when you taste and touch the food. Nothing but kudos for NOT just another pizza place. This is a special Italian restaurant in Bradenton and the best pizza we've had in Bradenton and St. Pete where they actually have two locations.

Very bland food. Pasta was from a box. Meatballs were absent of flavor. House wine was swill. Nothing was freshly made.

Finally, a legit pizza shop in east Bradenton! The atmosphere is casual and clean. Family friendly. Attentive servers. We tried their special, grandmas pizza. Actually really good. It was a combo between a cicilian and a ny style with fresh chunks of moozarella.

This place has all the reminders of a good NY pizza place. Their pasta al forno is fantastic. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because the waite staff can use some help.

My wife and I have eaten there twice. On the first visit we shared a pizza and garlic rolls. Both were fantastic and the portion size, particularly of the rolls, was more than generous. On our second visit my wife ordered a luncheon size pizza and I ordered a small italian (not sure the exact name of it) I sampled a piece of my wife's pizza and it was more like a supermarket frozen pizza than what I had before. My sandwich was almost all bread. It had one razor thin slice of meat and one of cheese accompanied by a scant few veggies. The sandwich was tasty, due to the vinagrette they use, but clearly not an adequate portion size. Waitress was a charming youn lady. The bright spot of our second visit. In fairness my wife liked her pizza on the second visit and wants to return but I don't. Too unpredictable.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
