Had a great early evening with new friends form work at Timothy's. The waitstaff is great, and knows the menu, the waitress shared that her favorite item on the menu was the crab cake sandwich. I chose to have the soup of the day, chicken and dumplings......eeeeh not bad, also I had the Apple and Nut salad. I think it was missing the cranberries now that I think of it but it had grannysmith apples with almonds, and bluecheese dressing with rasberry vinagrette and I had my salad with grilled chicken. The salad was huge and very tasty, but I could have made it myself..... in fact I plan to give it a try. I am sure I will be back to try the crab cakes : )

When the traffic is disgusting and the weather congested, rest stops off Rt 95 won't cut it. In these circumstances, it's probably best to hold out until reaching Wilmington, Delaware. It is there, at the riverfront, via following signs around from the parking lot, that one can sit down in a booth or at the bar and have something hot and filling. For instance, one can get a wompin medium rare burger with smoked bacon and Monterey Jack cheese, or most any other cheese (including Bleu) or some other toppings. It is actually cooked medium rare, juicy, yummy, satisfying, and sitting between a country roll to make you curse the day you had that Burger King "bacon double cheeseburger" at Maryland House. It comes with one of a variety of sides, and even the french fries offer a twist with some sweet potatoes tossed in. (Best is that you get two topping and all the fixings with a side for $9.99) Alongside one can order a soothing drink from water to wine to an array of spirit-fueling kahlua beverages. And for those deterred by the burger, there are plenty of seafood, salad, sandwich, chile, soup, chicken, etc! entrees and starters to choose from. Afterward, one can hop right back onto 95 and head north. Or south. And really, whatever time seems as good as any to get Timothy's.

Timothy's is a mid-level restaurant sporting an Irish bar theme. The food is generally good (I especially like the bison burger and the crabcake sandwich) and the prices are average for a place like this. I've visited Timothy's many times and never had a bad food experience, and the service consistently runs a pretty tight range ("good"). In fact, I'd rate Timothy's as a 4 star place, but I put it over the top based on strong long-term consistency. The one crazy thing about this restaurant is the location: it is set in a dying retail area with its front door facing the water. There are signs to help you find it, so it is not exactly "hidden", but I am convinced that it'd rake in big money were it located somewhere more accessible. Outdoor seating is seasonally available right on the river (a good but not great view).

This is a worthwhile place for lunch or dinner, when taking a trip to the Riverfront. The menu is not that large, but it does have a fairly good selection of hamburgers and sandwiches, along with an ok selection of entrees. Service was ok; we got our dinners fairly quickly. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their food selection. The place is a little on the dark side, it would be nice if the inside could take better advantage of the riverfront location. They do have outdoor seating, though. Before or after the meal, be sure to take a walk along the Riverfront.

I stopped in here for lunch with an OLD FRIEND...we were seated right away! Our server was KELLY...dark hair and glasses...very friendly and attentive! We ordered the rib platter and the garlic parm wings....very good wings and nachos The ribs were from the day before covered with lots of BBQ Sauce.... I had the ribs b4 @ TIMOTHYS , they weren't what I remembered, I was disappointed... but the rest of the meal was very good Overall I enjoyed my visit... If you should visit , ask for Kelly she knows the menu, (took our orders by memory)...very friendly and on point I like that!

Great place, we will definitely return! My boyfriend and I decided to eat here when we were visiting the area, and it did not disappoint. We shared one of the appetizers of skillet fries, which were pretty amazing, as well as the Salmon salad, and the crab cake sandwich the boy had. The service was above and beyond, the drinks were delicious, and the amazing view of the river totally completed the experience! Thanks Tim, well done!

I called for pick-up after work. It is located right across the Westin on the riverfront. I got the chicken quesadilla ($10.50 and crabby fries ($8.50). The quesadilla was pretty dry and bland but I asked for extra sour cream so it was okay again. The crabby fries come with this sauce that is pretty tasty (white creamy). By the time I got back to the hotel room though, the fries were soggy. Average bar food.

When I was there the bartender starting complaining very loudly about the last customer not paying. When I first heard this I could not believe that a customer would do this but by the end of my meal I realized why the guy left without paying. Yes it was that bad.

Where do I start, Timothy's is a decent place to watch the game and most of the people are very nice. However Tony the bartender is NOT one of those people...in my opinion. I dont think I have high standards for a sport's bar, just have a t.v., drinks, and food. Tony seems to only want to serve the t.v.. maybe my experience will change, but right now I am thirsty and hungry.

Family was in town this weekend so we decided to enjoy the riverfront. Made a reservation for 14 for dinner outside dining. No issues ( a near by restaurant would no even consider us because of it being a Saturday night... their loss, Timothy's gain!) Our server Matt was awesome and very accommodating. The food was great we ordered variety from kids meals, salads, burgers etc. Great evening all around

I went to this bar on 6/24 with a friend and had a good experience. We both had drinks and I ate boneless wings. So I decided to go back the next day with 2 other friends. We had drinks, ate pizza and fries. My first Tangueray and tonic was very weak but I contributed this to the younger bartender. I drank it and immediately ordered another with the other bartender. No this place water down their drinks. So we ate dinner and paid the bill. Not thinking, we did not leave a tip. A man approached us at the door and questioned our service. When I started to say one bartender was better than the other, he started telling us how much they make and it's not fair for us not to leave a tip. When his voice got louder, I walked off. He proceeded to follow us out to the sidewalk and tell me I was acting like a 3 year old and holler that we are no longer welcome at his bar and not to return. At this time one person in the party stated to yell back, I politely tell her to walk away. I would of had no problem tipping, I did it very generously the night before but when you walk out and holler at me for not tipping, I will keep my money in my pocket. The man said he was the owner, I'm not sure. But if this is what he does for not getting a tip I don't need to patronize his business ever again. Who tries to shame a customer into giving a tip? Shame on me for forgetting to tip but just plain classless on you for treating your customers this way.

This is one of the nicer places to sit outside in Wilmington for a quiet drink and/or meal and it's the one place right on the riverfront that will let us have our small dog with us, so it's disappointing to have only a poor review to offer. Essentially, poor management and training of the wait staff lead to a mediocre experience. We've been here a number of times (though we won't be going again) and, invariably, the hostess places only the food menu on the table as she seats you. Once the waiter arrives, you then have to ask for the drinks menu, which he/she has to go back and get. Why do they do this? It isn't standard practice in other restaurants, and it only creates an unnecessary delay -- as our most most recent visit testifies. Once we got the drinks menu, it then took the waiter three back-and-forth trips to work out which of the beers listed were actually available -- a fraction of those on the menu. Our appetizer arrived before the beer, so we had to eat it without a drink. And the drinks arrived 25 minutes after we'd first been seated. The food itself is unexceptionable; the problem is the time it takes to get served and the inefficiency of a wait staff which is always pleasant but generally doesn't seem fully prepared.

Inside the shop. Amazingly friendly and talented. The owner, Abundance, is a educator for the lifestyle she sells. Not just for the "dirty hippies" anymore. Loved it here! Tastes great!

I would never ever visit this place again. Lets see, where do i begin. Food- Lackluster, bland, undercooked and under seasoned. Drinks -Watered down, lacked good quality. Not worth money. Service- Thee absolute worse. I asked one waiter for a lemon wedge for my water, instead of bringing it in a saucer or a napkin for that matter, he actually handed it to me, with no gloves. How disgusting? They failed to mention that their chicken sandwich had crab in it...and I have a shellfish allergy...VERY IRRESPONSIBLE! Thankfully I had my medication on me. Shortly after dining, my friends and I moved to the bar area for a few drinks and asked to open a tab; our arrogant and obnoxious bartender, said "we take everything except EBT cards!!!" Me: "EBT Cards!??, so what are you trying to say"...I totally gasp, because she obviously was insinuating that since we were minority women that we could afford to pay for our drinks...I was completely insulted, appalled and could not believe that I was racially profiled. Of course, we told her manager, who completely down played these comments by this ignorant woman and said she must have been playing. Really?? We are a group of professional women, may I add a Registered Nurse, an Attorney, a Chemical Engineer, a Counselor, 2 Teachers and an special agent for a govt agency ...How dare she assume that we only had welfare cards to pay for our drinks? We left and will never ever go back to this place. It was in poor taste of how they treated us. We would never patronize or recommend Timothys on the Waterfront again. I would not recommend...There are much better choice like Iron Hill Brewery that has way better food and better quality service.

Arrived, waited ~10 min to be seated when there was no one else waiting. Looked like half the staff was just hanging out chatting at the back. Then we're shown to our table to wait another 10 min without anyone coming to serve us, say hi, or bring us water. Walked out.

Okay place to stop, the food was okay, nothing special. The waitress was awesome. Probably one of the best I've ever had. She was nice, we could understand her, she asked all the right questions and was extremely helpful. I'd rate the place higher if the food were better but it was just okay.

This place is absolutely horrible, service by Tammy was terrible and food was mediocre at best! Tammy thinks multi tasking is covering two people, when you add a third she falls on face!!

Since the weather was so nice, we decided to eat on the patio. The service was o.k. and our drinks were good. They bring you out some chips with warm cheesy dip which would have been great with the beer if the chips weren't stale. For entrees we had the crab cake sandwich with slaw, the slaw is very good and the sandwich was good as well. Not sure if that was tartar sauce it came with, but the cocktail sauce was good instead. We also ordered skillet fries, typical bar grub, eh it was just o.k. The prices are reasonable and the service is just fine. If your taking in a Blue Rocks game, it's close by and a nice choice to grab a bite before the game and do some shopping/walking on the river walk.

Wings, quesadillas, stuffed burgers, and cole slaw are great. The fish and chips, so so. The alfredo sauce is flavorless and runny. Service is generally good. Our server swapped out the alfredo dish for another. Made reservations for Jul 4th specifically requesting a seat on terrace next to sidewalk. We were seated in the middle. At the request of a customer, a server dropped one of the umbrellas so that they can see. When I asked about umbrellas in our line of sight, I was told the people were leaving soon. Our server said anyone was welcome to drop their own umbrella, like we were going to ask the other customers if they wouldn't mind. We were left with the choice of standing in the way of others to see the fireworks or to miss them. We missed the fireworks this year. Thanks Timothy's, and we won't be back.

Came here specifically for football. They do have a lot of large tvs(more than 10). The bartender was very nice. She was welcoming. They just seem like they don't know who they are trying to be. They offer sports betting but have the servers were ties and sweater vests. No rhyme or reason to anything. Most of the customers weren't buying anything beside lotto and pacing around watching the Tv's. Food specials were nothing special. Stay away from the nachos. They were bland bagged. chips with some cheese and lettuce and tomato. The pizza was very cheesy and a good value for $7 considering. The lunch or dinner menu looked overpriced and Unappealing. I will probably not come back unless someone I'm with really wants to come here. I won't give anymore of my money for bland food and sub-par atmosphere. You can do much better at big fish or iron hill for the same price...maybe cheaper depending on how you eat.

Hmmmm. I'll start this off by saying I would like to give this place another chance, to give it a higher score. So we had a hard time finding it, and when we did, there weren't many people there. It was Sunday so that made sense. The food ended up being like diner food and wasn't very exciting. I had the green apple salad and I thought it could have used more gorgonzola cheese. The greens were confusing - it had mostly iceberg lettuce, with a few pieces of spring mix on the outside. They could have classed it up by using all spring mix! My dining companion had a wrap and he said it was alright, but the fries tasted like they were frozen fries, which is a no-no. Our waitress was nice, but she didn't ask us if we wanted dessert or offer a dessert menu. She just brought over the check after taking our plates. Again, I want to come back on a different night and up this score, but so far there was nothing special about Timothy's. :-\

Signage as if it's an Irish Pub, but not a single menu item that is Irish in nature. The food was just sorta okay, but not for the price range that they list it. My $12.00 cheesesteak tasted rubbery and the fries tasted like crappy school cafeteria French fries: soggy and luke warm. The server was minimally attentive, fortunately I didn't actually need a refill. In full form of this "NON" Irish Pub, he was wearing a Hawaiian shirt and lei. Don't waste your money here.

The food was good. Had a few appetizers to start off with. The boneless wings sauce was good but they were a little dry. The crab dip was really good. The entrees were were ok. Had a salad, flat breads, and burger. I would say the flat breads were the best. The service at the bar was very lackluster and had no personality. On multiple occasions we had empty glasses and there were only about 10 people at the bar with 2 bar tenders. They had plenty of tvs and would be a good place to catch a game.

Met my college roomie here for lunch several weeks ago. We typically meet in this little riverfront section to have lunch, and we usually go to Iron Hill, but decided to branch out this time, and Timothy's had crab dip so and wasn't Joe's Crab Shack, so it won. The crab dip was pretty good, as was the chips and dip they bring out. We both ordered crab cakes (even though I don't really believe in ordering crab cakes not in Maryland, Delaware usually gets a pass) and it was a poor choice. Dry, minimal flavor. Good fries, though. Outside seating looked nice but was full. I'll stick with Iron Hill.

Went for lunch Saturday after taking a trip to Qdoba on Market St just to find out they are not open on the weekends (only in Delaware). Was kinda empty for a Saturday afternoon but no complaints here. Very well decorated on the inside and spacious. TVs all around the place. Good service and they give you chips with a cheese dip so we did not need an appetizer. Entrees were reasonably priced. I got a the cajun cowboy wrap which is blackened chicken in a garlic and herb wrap with lettuce, cheese, tomato and this cattle rustler gold sauce and it was very good. My lady got a gourmet buffalo chicken. I had a few slices of that and it was good also. I'd come back here!

Usually the food is great here but not so much this past visit. We did get a table outside which was nice since all of the other restaurants had a wait. Service was a little slow. Shared a margarita pizza which looked fantastic but then when we tasted it the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. Also tried the Kentucky Bourbon wings. They were a little over cooked and the sauce was sweet with out much flavor. We actually had to ask for a side of the regular hot wing sauce to dump on them. They were super sticky as well. Probably won't run back anytime soon.

This is one of my favorite spots. I have only eaten in a few times. Mostly I will call in an order because one meal is usually too much to eat. This way I can bring it home, eat some now and eat some later. It stays fresh. The crab meat is scrumptious. Staff is nice.. very tentative. You may even have several people, besides just your waiter or waitress, ask how you are doing. Warm days the outside tables are very relaxing.

Food is ok. Our service from the bartenders was very lackluster and lethargic. No personality had to repeatedly call for them to get service with no more than 8 customers between 2 tenders sitting at the bar. Great layout over all but customer service needs work from hostess to bartenders.

My husband and I came here after a previous failed attempt at finding a place for dinner. In the end, things turned out better! We had an attentive, super friendly waiter and the outdoor seating was great. The seating was in the corner so we could get the full effect of the breeze coming off the water and the ambient lighting was wonderful. As for the food, I ordered the grilled Key Lime salmon (it was delicious!) and my husband ordered the Filet Mignon which seemed to just fall apart in your mouth it was so tender! We'll definitely be back :)

A friend and I were planning to eat lunch at Ubon (the Thai restaurant next door) but they are closed Mondays. So we went to Timothy's. First off, we were put in the corner which was VERY loud. There were these 3 black ladies making so much noise 2 tables away; I mean standing up outside of their booth and hitting the table as their were laughing. The waitress was really nice. I asked her what I should order since it was my first time there and she said the crab cake sandwich was popular. I ordered that with mixed vegetables. I didn't eat the bun but I wasn't really too impressed. I don't typically order dessert but the crab cake didn't fill me up so I ordered a piece of cheesecake (can't remember what kind but I posted a picture) and I ordered some mint chocolate alcoholic drink. The cheesecake you could tell was frozen at one point and the drink was warm and tasted just of alcohol; no chocolate, no mint. It was so awful I called the waitress over and told her I wasn't going to pay for it. My meal was under $20 but wasn't even worth that. Edit (12/23/12): I'm changing my rating from 2 stars to 3. I was planning on going to Ubon again but they were closed and I was hungry so I stopped in here. I had a nice waiter (I think his name was Anthony); he was very friendly and when I asked him for suggestions on what to order he helped out. I tried their Crab and Jack Quesadillas for an appetizer; they were crabby but really bland. I didn't taste any Jack cheese or garlic like the description said would be in it. For my lunch I ordered a Kobe beef burger with jalapeno bacon. Their cheese options were sort of lame but the burger was tasty and the bacon was nice and jalapenoy (yes I know that's not a word). It's a shame this place seems to be hit-or-miss.

You ain't foolin' nobody, Timmah! Putting generic funcky tasting ketchup in premium catchup bottles. I will not stand for it! The bar is still the best on the Riverfront if you want to avoid snobbery and idiocy, but I wouldn't recommend eating here. The food used to be decent, but it's pretty obvious they are just focusing on the alcohol now.

Went here for dinner tonight with my wife. Its a decent place, inside is nice but borderline generic, but hey its a pub. Food was good no complaints at all. Had onion rings for appetizer and the stuffed burger with seasoned fries. This place wont blow you away but its worth the money. For two of us it was only $32.

*Well Staffed and the service is Friendly/Timely *Lots of seating! Good for couples or groups *Nice atmosphere! Great location! *Restrooms were kept up MY FAVORITE APPETIZER SO FAR: CHEESE STEAK EGG ROLLS! (from my friends) I heard that the CRAB QUESADILLAS were awesome! Also I love their Yeungling Beer! I was really excited to check out TImothy's but unfortunately, the food was awful. We sent back our pizza, it was so greasy and doughy there was no flavor but grease. The appetizers were small and pricey. We won't be going back, save your money and give it to a better restaurant on the riverfront!

Had dinner/happy hour here early in the evening with my family after seeing the yelp reviews, and the fact that they have buy-one-get-one-free burgers during HH advertised on their website. As we ordered our burgers, our very handsome, Russian waiter was unaware that they had the special, so he had to go and ask the manager, but came back with happy news. While I was skeptical about the taste of a burger that has a bar special, my kobe beef burger with provolone and caramelized onions came out surprisingly good. So good in fact, I ended up eating THE. WHOLE. BURGER. (which was pretty big for a girl of my stature). I guess I must of been hungry... I also liked the fact that fries come standard as a mix of regular and sweet potato fries. I often find myself in a horrible predicament, being that I love both. So thanks, Timothy's, you eased my indecisiveness considerably that day. They also had trivia that night (Tuesday), which is a plus since apparently they don't have Geeks Who Drink in DE (get on that Delaware!! You don't know what you're missing out on!) but we were too stuffed to stay an extra hour. Afterwards, we went on a nice walk by the river to try and salvage the fact I had probably just consumed my days worth of calories. It helped... a little.

The best part of this place I suppose is the location- right on the riverfront which is quite beautiful. If you're going to dine in, expect a "pub" appearance- lack of ambiance and commercialized seating... ...which is why we decided to dine outside on the patio where we could at least enjoy the scenic view. There was a beautiful replica of a Swedish ship visible to where we were sitting, and we were able to examine it after dinner. There were also hardly any patrons at the restaurant that Tuesday night which was very relaxing. The food was good, but not the best I've had. I had the French Dip sandwich that came with horseradish sauce which was subtle, but delicious. The portions were adequate, although the entree prices could have been slightly modified- and NOT on the high end either. There's also a full bar. My friend had a bikini martini that came in a typical glass which he enjoyed, but didn't opt for seconds. Our waiter seemed tired and bored, probably due to the lack of customer excitement that you could expect on the weekends. I would probably come back for drinks. Other than that, it's an experience worth sharing.

My husband and I stop in every year, after the PA Guild Craft Show, and every year the service is incredibly inadequate. When we walked in, no one even acknowledged our presence, in spite of the fact that there were 3 servers standing right there at the register. The craft show is quite large and one would think that this restaurant in such close proximity would bring in some additional staff. Food wasn't bad but lack of diners leads me to believe others have been turned off by the poor service.

Happened upon Timothy's by chance when out on a Saturday drive with my parents. They wanted to walk the River Front, I wanted to drink beer. I walked inside and there was 6 waitress' sitting waiting for people to come in, it was a ghost town. I sat at the Bar and ordered a Guinness, drank that and decided to switch to the Yuengling. I was told by the bartender Stacy that they were on special for $2.00.. $2.00 beers on a Saturday.. you can't go wrong. I enjoyed the beer, and the bartender.. she was a good conversation. I didn't try any food.. but I would love to come back and try it.

The atmosphere is very nice and Irish pub like. Two other couples were in there early on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately. We were BUGGED by a very Pleasant waitress. When we told her we needed a minute to look at the menu, she stood by and wouldn't leave until I told her 2 more times. After about 25 minutes we were served. I've been by there in the summer and the outdoor seating was packed. I ordered The "Crayfish Mac and Cheese" which is served with 2 slices of toasted baguette smeared with a buttery cheese. The "Mac and Cheese" looked and tasted like the boxed brand that had a little extra cheese on top. The crayfish were the size of BRINE SHRIMP and were tough. It was served with a small dish of Cinnamon Apples that I believe came right from a can of pie filling. My guest had the Lobster Ravioli and Shrimp. The Ravioli was not home made but Food Service bought , but good and cooked perfectly, as was the Shrimp which was very good. However, It was COMPLETELY DROWNED in a lemony cream sauce. There was so much sauce my guest asked to used my serving plate to separate the Ravioli and Shrimp from the sauce! It was diner food at Upscale Bistro pricing.

On 4/24 I visited this establishment for the first time. We had a rsvp for 20 people at 7pm and Gail was the manager on duty. As soon as our table was seated, the waiter came and explained that one of the employees in the past there has charged incorrect amounts to credit cards when processing multiple receipts/cards for a large party. As a result, we would not be able to receive are own individual checks, and had to use multiple cards to split one large check. My fiance and I knew this was going to be a disaster as soon as she heard that, as we dine out often and that shows complete incompetence. Sure enough when the bill came we were given one large check and told the waiter how much money to run on each card. The sign of a horrible waiter is when they never write anything down! My fiance even asked the waiter if he was sure he knew the correct amounts and he assured us he could remember! One minute later our waiter comes back and tells me that he ran my card for the entire bill for 20 people by accident! Oops! Gail-Restaurant Manager got involved when my waiter charged the correct amount to the card...but wasn't able to provide any voided receipt showing the credit back to my card. Every consumer knows any business can and they always do provide a voided receipt! Gail-Manager proceeds to tell me that although I have 2 receipts showing charges close to $200 on my card, that the first transaction won't post to my card and I should see it come off in the next couple days on my credit card statement. The correct bill and only bill we signed for was $40!!!!! Today I have my bank statement showing the $40 and a separate transaction of $20.99 which was unauthorized and been disputed as of today with Capital One!! Oh but I guess I'm supposed to just be happy the full bill never posted to my card though.. It gets worse in the end....Gail-Manager said the worst thing I have ever heard a MANAGER say to a CONSUMER EVER!!!! The manager told me don't worry..If it turns out that I'm lying and we do run the full amount to your card you can just dispute it because you only signed for the $40!!!!! WELLS GUESS WHAT GAIL!!! THANK YOU FOR THAT!! I GUESS YOU JUST CHOSE TO TAKE AN UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTION OF $20.99 IN ADDITION TO THE $40 WE SIGNED FOR INSTEAD OF RUNNING THE WHOLE AMOUNT FOR 20 PEOPLE UNAUTHORIZED!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS .....PERIOD

I wish I could rate 0 stars!! This place has terrible service. I was seated at table 91 which must be code for don't wait on. The host had to yell back to the other hosts/waitress that he was seating us at table 91. Seemed odd. Then we waited and waited and waited waiters walked passed us, no eye contact. We left after 10 min. Seems like the service is running the customers away. I will definitely not be back. It's a real shame because it's a great location and the right service would have business booming.

While walking on the riverfront. Stopped by for a light meal. Our waiter Nikki was wonderful and attentive. The river view at sunset was great. The meal was excellent also.

Wonderful experience! The management and staff were excellent along with the food, especially the Mac n cheese. Looking forward to coming back!!
