Amazing!!!! I love nachos! Best chips and salsa along with the best red chili in town!! The chicken tacos on white is really something special. A pueblo tradition!

Worst. Service. Ever! Staff comes across as lazy and like they hate their jobs. Had to ask another server for a side I wanted, and my server never checked in with the table. No refills for drinks. The salsa was gross! Who makes salsa with rosemary?! This was a horrible experience and I won't be back. Did I mention horrible parking?

The place is dirty first of all. I'd hate to see the kitchen if this is the dining room. The food was not tasty, I got a salad, it has processed cheese cut up and placed on iceberg lettuce...yes those ugly yellow squares of cheese...need I say more. My own fault for ordering salad at a Mexican place. Honestly I didn't want to get anything cooked because it was so dirty. Don't bother there are better Mexican places around.

It makes me sad how far this place has declined. Waiting 20 minutes for a table then longer to order. The food is still good but frustrating when hungry.

Have loved this restaurant since the 1st time I ate here in 1988. Every time I am in Pueblo I go to Nachos. Their food is that good. Favorites are the monster burritos, homemade refried-beans, guacamole and flautas. Of course I am biased because there are many things on the menu I haven't tried. My daughter loves the green chili.

From the minute I walked in I knew I was going to regret it. The place had a odor as if it had not been cleaned in years. As for the food... Well it was awful, I had ordered the Deep Fried chicken tacos and the chicken was old, the chips were old and the salsa, well it was not good. Since when does a restaurant charge for chips and salsa!! Really!! The décor was old and it needs updating. In my opinion it needs to be closed down before someone gets sick.

This place rules! Excellent guaq and AMAZING salsa! 3 people in our party all got drinks and an appetizer and the bill was only $40. This isn't only a Pueblo staple it's a destination.

Nachos is a nice mexican fare in pueblo. I like then ultimate nacho. Bring your appetite, cuz the portions are large. The service was great also. Would have been a 5 star, except the salsa was just a little too hot for my taste.

This place was suggested by a friend so I thought I better stop in while I was in Pueblo. I had the Deep Fried Taco's with sour cream and Avacado and they were exelent! The chips and Salsa were fresh and the sevice was first rate. I love mexiacn food and this is one of the better one's I've been to; I highly reccomend it.

Everything to love about this local place. Not much to look at from the outside, but don't let that stop you. This gets five stars for being an authentic local place with great flavors and super service. SERVICE: Our waiter was awesome. Friendly. Prompt. He had good advice on menu items and helped with our special needs. He kept our drinks full and checked on us often. He was understanding of kids. FOOD: Killer salsa with rosemary and nice local peppers in it. Handmade tamales were quite nice and covered in medium-hot green chili sauce. Huge bowl of salsa with thick chips. The whole family enjoyed the meal. DECOR: Such a local warm place. There were mariachis playing live and an astounding pepper light fixture above our booth. The hostess was so friendly. If I lived near Nachos... I would go every week. You should too. It is a treat.

Nacho's has been in Pueblo for years. I don't get there much, but I make sure to go there at least once when I'm on my annual trek to my home city. The food is outstanding, especially the salsa and the rellenos. The service may seem slow, but it's because they make it from the ground up and they give you time to enjoy your drinks before dinner. The live music duo is nice, and it's part of what sets Nacho's apart from the other restaurants. Nacho's is a real gem of Pueblo, Colorado. They've been around a long time because of the caring owners and staff.

Yuck. That's the only way I can describe this restaurant. My grandmother was from Mexico, and I grew up eating authentic Mexican food. What we were served at Nacho's cannot be described as authentic, and being served by people with Mexican last names will not make it authentic. I ordered chiles rellenos, which are supposed to be roasted chiles which are split open, stuffed with cheese and individually battered and fried. What I got was 2 chiles, on top of each other, sprinkled with cheese, and wrapped in what can only described as a thin omelet. WTF??? I must have had a strange look on my face because one of the waitresses asked if there was something wrong with my rellejos. I'm never at a loss for words, but I stammered, and said I hadn't tried them yet. I tried them. And then I tried to give them away. They were just gross. So, yet again, we have eliminated another restaurant from our "to try" list because the food is just not good.

This place has fallen so far since the first time I visited. The staff is terrible and our waitress deserved no tip but since we were a party of 6 she received her automatic 18%. The food is not better than Jorges and the service is horrible they have been here forever but I don't see them staying open much longer if things stay the same. Our waitress Janae should be fired because it shouldn't take 45 minutes and 3 tries to bring out 3 vanilla ice creams. Worst experience ever! Stay far far away! Time to call Gordon Ramsay because this place is a Kitchen Nightmare!

I was astonished by how bad this place was. We were made to wait an eternity, and were treated very rudely by the staff. The food was sub-par. The carpet in the restaurant is hideous, and I am not usually all that sensitive to such things. Poor, truly poor restaurant.

The service was horrible. It took 20 minutes just to have water brought to us, took 30 min to get the waitress's attention just to get our check, and it smells like sewage inside. This is the second time I've been here and I get the same results each time.

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced at a resturant. The service was 2 hours slow and my food wasn't what I ordered. After the watiress had been extremely rude to me and my wife and daughters, we waited another half and hour and recieved food that tasted worse than a microwave dinner from the store! I will never return. Exspensive for poor quality food and horrible, disrespecful staff. Next time I'll go to Taco Bell, at least your foods warm.

Good food. Great salsa. Chile Rellenos was great. Not to pricy. Kids eat free on Wednesdays. Good iced tea. Will return

I had eaten at this restaurant before and decided to take my entire family there to celebrate a birthday. The service was very poor, the food was not good, and when orders came to the table wrong when asked for them to be corrected we were treated so rude. There was never an apology for messed up order or for the rude treatment we received. When I received the bill a meal that was returned and never served back to my family member was still on the bill. I questioned this and was told they would not remove it from the bill. I explained that the plate of food had been taken to the kitchen to be corrected and had never been served again so the person did not eat. They still would not remove the charge from the bill. I will never eat at this restaurant again nor will my friends or family.

Slightly better than average Mexican food. Their service is quick if somewhat casual (spilled soda on the table and my neighbor twice). The food is decent though nothing special.

Wow! What a gem. I read some reviews of this restaurant prior to trying it out. We were intrigued at the prospect of live mariachi music so decided to give it a try. It looks a bit nondescript from the outside. Pretty basic on the inside, but clean and welcoming. I spied a sign posted near the bar advertising Cadillac margaritas - limit 2. We were seated and in very short order put in our drink orders. I had to have that Cadillac - top shelf liquor, etc., you had me at 'limit 2.' The waiter returned with our drinks - holy margarita! It was ginormous and oh so smooth. Another person in our party also got the Cadillac and she agreed that it was good stuff. Dinner was delicious. I had the traditional corn tacos - chicken - which were nicely crisp and not greasy at all. The rice was well seasoned and fluffy; beans tasted home made with a nice consistency. Chips are extra and we had to ask for them, but they were also crispy and not greasy, salted just right. The salsa has an interesting flavor that I wouldn't have immediately recognized, but I saw an earlier review that commented on the rosary in the salsa. Interesting and pretty tasty. And the mariachi music!! These guys are the real deal, and when we didn't have a particular song request, they happily launched into a lovely tune, en Espanol, great guitarists and vocalists which really added to the whole dining experience. I definitely plan to return to try more items on their menu. Service was fast and friendly, food was delicious. Beverages - see above. Go there and enjoy!

Great food, I stop here all the time when passing through or visiting friends and family. The service can be a little slow but the wait is worth it. Try the Taco trio!!!

Great food! The chicken tacos on white are delish! They are a soft taco that is deep fried. About as good as it gets. I've also tried other items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The service is not always great but it's not bad either. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant the next time you get a chance!

My wife and I were expecting mediocre Mexican food when we entered the plain looking restaurant in downtown Pueblo. However our preconceived notion was wrong as the food was very tasty, and oven hot. I had the pork & avocado burrito dinner which was very good. My wife had a taco which she consumed quickly. The salsa was just a tad too warm for our liking. Our waiter was friendly, quick and apologized when our order took maybe 5 minutes too long to emerge from the kitchen. He actually offered a free beverage to us for the delay, which we declined. The inside atmosphere was plain, but ok. The live mariachi music was entertaining and certainly lightened up the restaurant. No doubt we will return to Nachos.

I'm from California and was looking for a place to have dinner that had a mariachi band. my family was in town from Cali and we drove all the way to pueblo cause nacho's advertises they have live marchi music. when we walked in we were wonderig where the 'band' was. well, the 'mariachi' was a couple of guys with guitars. they walk from table to table a sing a song of your choice. when I first learned this, I wanted to LEAVE. instead, we decided we'd have dinner and 'deal with it.' well I'm glad we did. they are a DUO, and a magnificent one at that. they sang, both, in English and Spanish. the waitress was good, the food was great, and the environment was nice too. I'm glad we came and I'm glad we stayed. this party of 13 was pleased at the emd of the night. we will come back. :) only 4 stars cause no mariachi band -if that's what you're looking for.

Horrible service. We actually waited 15 minutes for the waitress to say hello, and another 40 minutes for our food, which wasnt very good. The waitress was rude and when we complained they didn't even give us a free dessert (1.95?) very disappointed. I rarely complain at a restaurant but when it takes over an hour to get 2 enchiladas you should make it right. So I give this place one star. Go to Adolfo's, it's a hole in the wall burrito shop and the food is ten times better!!

Best salsa in Pueblo! Try the mini ultimate burrito smothered in green chile. The BOMB! Do not eat at the nachos @ golf course. Not even close to the Nachos on Santa Fe.

Being from Ft. Worth Texas I have never had to pay for chips and salsa so we decided to get the bean and cheese dip and it was awesome! Very filling and should be considered dip your own bean and cheese nachos. The hot sauce is delicious! The chicken fajitas were pretty good with a nice big plate of the fixings! Even though the napkins feel like sand paper when wiping my mouth I would absolutely eat here again.

I had the Chile Relleno and it was okay. It wasn't like any I had before. It was made in an egg batter with was seemed like Kraft brand cheese. To make up for the Chile Relleno the beans and rice were amazing. Everyone says the salsa is amazing but it is over rated and over priced. My husband had the mini chicken smothered burritos and they were good but not the best.

Customer service is great! Food also is good, but restaurant way too cold! Food gets cold too fast before you finish your meal.

I'm going to give this Pueblo landmark 3 stars. I'm not fully convinced it's a 4 star place, but none the less I need to change up my usual New Mexican order next time. The green chile is pretty kick ass, the Mariachis are great (it's Pueblo, a must) and food is good. Either way, I encourage you to check it out for yourself. Next time I'm in P-town, I'll try to hit it this local joint up to find out if it's me.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
