I have to update my review because I had a different experience last night. I ordered the special: Blackened Talipia with shrimp scampi on the top for $12.99. When the order came out, it didnt look to great first of all, and second of all I took I bite of the very end of the fish and noticed it tasted very SLIMY. So I cut into the middle of the fish ... they may have well just put a raw piece of fish on my plate because it was very pink in the middle of the fish. I informed the server and she took back to the kitchen ... they cooked the SAME piece of fish and put it back on my plate all torn apart. I couldnt even get it all down the second time. Gross. My husband ordered the chicken enchiladas ... and if you like just green chilies and maybe some chopped onion out of the can, well that's what you get for green chili. Tasted like canned refried beans ... my husband compared his dish to Casa Bonita .. frozen dinner. 'Nuff said.

We just had drinks and appetizers and it was average everything. They offer happy hour specials - $5 for apps and $1 off beverages. One of the people in my group commented that they should have some sort of signature dish. The other thought that although the decor was nice, it still seemed cold without many people. One of the things we ordered potato skins on suggestion of another reviewer. These were - average and needed seasoning. Service was friendly and we were taken care of well. There's nothing bad about the place, it's just average. We are hoping for success for CJs as we think the owners are outstanding. I'm just not sure if this is our "go-to" spot.

I clearly ordered wrong my first time at CJ's. I got the chili rellenos. They were clearly the absolute worst interpretation of a chili relleno I've ever had. There was no batter around the chili but rather something chewy that my best guess was a tortilla and deep fried. The waitress confirmed a stranger ingredient -- egg roll wrap. It was a egg roll wrapped around a mild chili deep fried and then smothered in a flavorless sauce. It was hard to believe this menu item came recommended by the waitress. My son had a hamburger. I don't know why they bother asking how you want it cooked if all they do is well done. There's no technique in overcooking a patty. They have free wifi which would have been nice but their connection speed was lousy. Fortunately, their neighbor, Poudre Valley Health, also had a guest wifi with a great connection. The iced tea was good. For the iced tea, I was able to give them one star.

Food was barely ok. $18 appetizer platter, a complete ripoff ! Maybe 10 tortilla chips worth of nachos. Beans and shredded cheese couple jalapenos.About 10 french fries covered in green chile. 6 bone in undercooked buffalo wings. 4 Very small us food service chicken tenders(TERRIBLE). 5 also us food service mozzarella sticks(yuk). Finally, 8, again us food service onion rings(really). All this piled and crowded together on 1 undersized plate.Looked kinda like a salad,$18 salad. Also had a burger, have had better at Sonic. I felt insulted for the food we got compared to the prices CHARGED, they should be EMBARRASSED . The ol' fool me once thing here for sure! Our server was good, attentive , she's the only star they get . Oh and the manager sitting front of house folding silveware Staring at customers , Creepy, ya think ?

I would have given CJ's 5 stars, but the service is very hit or miss depending on who you get. It's either great or terrible, with little in between. Some of the servers act as though they'd rather be doing anything else. On the bright side, we've found the food to be quite good - especially the burgers. You simply can't beat the homemade buns, which is something we've never seen anywhere else but CJ's. If you're a fan of Mushroom & Swiss burgers, you'll love their Mushroom & Mozzarella burger (our current go-to favorite). The fries smothered in green chili are also amazing. All in all, CJ's is a great local joint with good food and okay service... but, if they'd focus on hiring and keeping friendlier servers, this place would be a 5-star establishment all around.

Food was good....service was really good. Our server was excellent with suggestions and prompt courteous service with a smile. I had the turkey Flatbread sandwich with sweet potato fries. GOOD Experience.

This is the place to go in South Loveland if you're looking for a clean and casual place to have dinner with friends, family, colleagues. This is one of our go to places when we go out to eat. Everything on the menu tastes fresh and is well made. My absolute favorite is the cheeseburger in Paradise. I'd rank it in the top 5 cheeseburgers I've ever had and I eat a lot of cheese burgers. The staff is friendly and efficient. I really like the layout of this restaurant but because it's wide-open with high ceilings and concrete floors it can get a little bit loud. We typically ask for a booth. They have a nice outdoor patio as well which is awesome in the summer but it seems like every time we've been there in patio weather, there is at least one person out there smoking. Eating and smoking don't mix in my book so we usually opt to sit inside. They also offer take out, which we use from time to time.

The food and service are pretty good with ok happy hour specials. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because they allow smoking in the patio area.

Alright for a burger and fries but better options exist. The cost is reasonable and portions are generous. The patio is nice, but there aren't enough beer choices. I mean in northern Colorado there are so many good beers. This place should have them on tap!

Always great food and service! Come here almost every Sunday morning and will miss the patio when the weather turns. The Chicken Mac and Cheese is fantastic!

A great staff and a great menu. Try the burrito. The meatloaf is amazing as well. But the cobbler is the best.

I have gone back to CJ's 3 times recently and I can honestly say that the food has improved since my previous review. The 3 latest items I have gotten have been absolutely excellent. Fish Tacos - The fish in these was tasty and seasoned well. Pretty standard as far as fish tacos go but they were great! Chicken Pot Pie - This was excellent and definitely home made. It had a delicious flaky crust and great filling. Chicken was tender and juicy and had plenty of yummy well cooked vegetables inside! Tex-Mex Chicken enchiladas - These were very different than any traditional enchiladas but they were fantastic. They were grilled chicken inside topped with a little bit of cheese and tons of yummy home made green chili. It came with a seasoned white rice that was quite good as well! I have never really had anything quite like these to be honest!

I went to a quick business lunch here yesterday and had a pretty good meal. I ordered the smoked turkey on flatbread with steak fries. The turkey was pretty good...not lunchmeat but thick slices of actual turkey...very nice. The fries were also done really well. The staff was prompt and friendly, as well as attentive. The pricing seemed a little high, my sandwhich was smaller than I thought it should be for $8.95...but that's really the only thing that was amiss here. If you're looking for a quick and easy place to go for lunch during the work week, I'd definitely recommend CJ's.

Food was good as usual. The rowdy bar crowd ruined our evening. The acoustics in the place is just terrible. 10 black ceiling tiles hanging vertically would do wonders. It was very sad that our server had to raise her voice to talk to us. The manager, if there was one, should know how to keep the ambiance at a decent level. The game day crowd was too rowdy for a decent Loveland restaurant. Little children were covering their ears. Muffle the echoing and calm your bar crowd.

This is one of the few places in Loveland with dining, a bar, and an outside patio which is really nice on a summer evening. The service is somewhat spotty. Very friendly and courteous with lots of regulars. Unfortunately, the servers sometimes get caught up socializing and don't service the other patrons. The burgers are very large and tasty. The don't advertise that they cater but our recent company picnic was catered by them and it was awesome! They also serve a wide variety of "comfort food". Good quality and value. Nice local bar and hangout -- a little bit of Cheers mojo going too. The perfect neighborhood bar/restaurant. Locally owned too!

I'm not a fan. Service is sporadic and usually meets expectations. Always disappointed by their beer selection. Foods is OK. In such a competitive market, they just aren't in the top.

Better than we expected! Huge burgers, cold beers on tap, and friendly staff. What more could you ask for?

Great American food. Stick to your ribs type pub fare. Environment is nothing special, kind of a worn down Midwest sports bar atmosphere. Food is good, good value. Place is often crowded.

Pretty good food. We have been twice. The first time we went on Sunday at 11am. I wanted breakfast, and Jim wanted a burger. We were in luck. They serve both all day. The breakfast comes with a homemade cinnamon roll. The burger also came with a homemade bun. Very tasty. The second time we both wanted breakfast. I had the best eggs Benedict I think that I have ever had. I always switch out the Canadian bacon for regular bacon. The hollandaise sauce was light and mildly lemony. It was garnished with paprika, and was great. There are 6 or 7 flat screen TVs playing various games. The only thing that I can complain about is that we did not get refills on our coffee until right before we got our check. No one came back to check once we got our food. Otherwise, this is a great place.

Tucked away on the side of a plaza it may be a little hard to find, but it's worth the effort. The place is appointed nicely and clean.A casual ambiance fills the place although it may get a little loud acoustically during the busy times. The food is great...healthy sized portions of comfort and American Grill variety. I had the meatloaf sandwich for lunch and it was tasty. The server was friendly and hit the "must do's" Overall, a fun time and a good recommendation.

Food is ok at best. It tastes and some of it even looks like canned foods.. If you wanna eat outside and enjoy the breeze, don't even think about it.. Their patio always has a ton of gross SMOKERS on it at any given day and time.. I felt like I was in Texas again with a smoking and non smoking section.. Outside is definatley the smoking section here and it's severely gross to take a bite into a sloppy burger and inhale some dude's smoke he just exhaled.. Ive given them 3 chances since I live across the street, but I will not go back again

Very good food and great service. I could tell our server was over sat but she handled everything so well. Chicken fried steak was great honestly best that I have had in a long time. It was apparent that this wasn't a steak out of a box. It beats Village Inn, Perkins or Cracker Barrel any day.

I love, love, love their classic burger. A quarter pounder, char-broiled, served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on a HOMEMADE bun - hello, how often do you find homemade buns? AND, they have the best sweet potato fries I've ever had, literally! The server I spoke with the last time I was there was telling me about all the items they make from scratch. Can't wait to find out more.... (Also, I've had a nice business lunch here in a corner booth with my laptop and their free WiFi).

It was a very cold night, and I was craving some hot and fresh, comfort food. I've eaten at CJ's for breakfast a few times and have always been pleased, and I anticipated they would have some good eats for dinner as well. I ordered the macaroni and cheese with chicken, expecting a piping hot plate of creamy, cheesy goodness. What I got was a luke-warm bowl of macaroni and cheese as flavorful as a box of kraft shells and cheese. On top, laid some equally lukewarm fried chicken tenders that weren't anything special. I wouldn't be surprised if they were frozen.
