I was hungry on lunch and just hopped in my car with no destination in mind. All I wanted was quick asian style food. Sadly enough there isn't a whole lot of cheap chinese joints in Louisville. As I was driving down McCaslin, Tokyo Joe's spotted my eyes. A-HA! I came on lunch so yes they had a long line and I had to wait about 10 min for my takeout order. But regardless, this place has good quality food and a decent price. I normally stick to white meat chicken, spicy-yaki sauce and brown rice. Be sure to specify what kind of rice you want otherwise you're stuck with white. The only complaint I have about this place, is the veggies seem like they came out of a frozen bag like Stephen K said. But I guess that's not really a surprise. Overall a great lunchtime spot, just be prepared to be waiting awhile during peak times!

Not that great. Chicken was gristly, teriyaki sauce was not the best. I was expecting better.

I'm a big fan of Tokyo Joe's food, but wanted to write a review of this store in particular. The staff here are really awesome, and it's nice to go in and see the same familiar faces. A couple of the girls who are on the register/make sushi are particularly friendly. They remember regular customers and treat people like friends. It's not something you see in many businesses any more, so I just wanted to say thanks! Also, I'm gluten-free, and I know that I don't have any worries when I go to any Tokyo Joe's. They're very familiar with their ingredients, and always let me know if something I've ordered isn't safe. It's really nice to not worry about eating contaminated food.

Tokyo Joes is a very casual place to eat. Their menu is based on noodle and rice bowls. They also have a limited variety of sushi and a few salads. Overall the food quality seems fresh and the staff is friendly. For a casual place to eat, I would recommend them.

Very consistent across all restaurants. Great, reasonably priced lunch place. The staff is friendly, the dining room is always clean and the food is good at this location in particular though. The patio outside is a nice break from work too. Well worth the ride 1 exit up from Interlocken Loop. I would certaily recomend this location as a solid lunch option.

Very good and very fresh. My son had the Yakitori noodle bowl, My wife and I had the Nikko Salad and the Kihei Salad. We were hungry so we also ordered some sushi that did not disappoint. The Joe's roll and Surf n Turf rolls were good, but the Cali Tartar was the best.

Amazing food! Very friendly staff! I love the chicken bowl and the wife loves the Boulder Veggie bowl. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

When coming back to CO for a visit - this was a must hit spot, I LOVE Tokyo Joes! The food is amazing - I have never had a bad meal here and I used to frequent this place more than one should admit. The layout is good. The parking lot can be cramped but overall is not bad. The staff is always friendly. The prices are reasonable. Fast-Food japanese done right!

It's Tokyo Joe's. Healthy "fast" food. Good tasting too. I guess that's all I have to say. It shouldn't be tough to convince someone to go try a fast food restaurant, should it? We hit this place when we need food quick and don't feel like cooking.

Tokyo Joe's, where have you been all my life?!? Ok. I've been to TJ's a couple times, but have always foregone the bowls in favor of miso soup and sushi. Don't do that. The miso soup is good but needs bigger tofu chunks and the sushi's pretty boring. BUT THE NOODLES. Get a noodle bowl. I built my own with tofu, spinach, broccoli, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, peas, and yakitori sauce and it was GOOOOOOD. Right after I ordered, I noticed they have ramen bowls for a limited time. Guess what I'm getting next time?! Mostly, I'm just really glad that Tokyo Joe's is close to my office, healthy, and yummy enough to make me break my near-daily Qdoba habit. TJ's, now I'm just sad that I'm moving away from you in a month. But don't worry, I'll come visit.

Meh. So so. I tried the big steak bowl with white rice and teriyaki sauce. Over priced for what you get - not much steak in there for almost $10 bucks. Plus another $1.50 to add veggies? I'd rather just go drop $11.99 on the flatiron steak over at Village Tavern. I think I'll do that tomorrow, as a matter of fact!

Ok...let it be known, in general, I like Tokyo Joe's. It's Oriental-ish, it's fast, it's healthy, and they have those big thick udon noodles I adore. Check. So in the midst of scouting out some places to migrate to in Superior and Louisville today, I stopped by because I needed sustenance. The bad: It took just over 15 minutes, during a not terribly busy time, to get me a white chicken noodle bowl with a packet of frozen veggies mixed in that was probably microwaved, slice up a chicken breast, cook the noodles and pour some spicyaki sauce into a small take-along cup. That's bad. The Tokyo Joes down on Evans near DU gets stuff out to me in a max of 12 minutes, even when they are totally packed -- about half that when they aren't. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The meh: When I stood up and gave my waitress 'the look' (not of lust, of "where the hell is my order") and politely inquired where my food was, she asked me how long it had been. admittedly I hadn't been timing it but I said "definitely over 10 minutes, probably close to 15." She checked the clock and it had been 16 minutes. Admittedly, she was not in charge of preparing my food, it wasn't her my irritation was targeted at . So...I got a little card for a free 'starter' item next time... edamame, or something else tasty. Bowl delivered at 18 minutes. When I finally ate, the chicken breast seemed a little small and wasn't sliced all the way through -- call me nitpicky, this is a website you review places you eat, among other things. So...this location gets 3 stars...barely. I will add this to fans of TJ's: during the month of March, have them swap out your card for their special "Super" TJ's card. During the month of March, it takes 6 punches to get a full free meal, not 12. I plan on going twice more this month and then getting a giant bowl with steak and aaaall the fixins. (but probably not here) *AH*: Also let it be known that Yelp's map location of this place is jacked; it has TJ's on the east side of McCaslin on some road; when in reality it's on the west side of McCaslin in a little strip mall just to the north of US-36.

Tokyo Joe's ruined every other Japanese noodle bowl place for me forever. Now, that's not to say that Tokyo Joe's is the quintessentially Japanese, uber-authentic place that puts everyone else to shame. It's really barely authentic at all. What it is, though, is damn tasty. My first experience with Tokyo Joe's was at the Tech Center store way back in '99 when I first moved to Denver. After that first taste I was hooked, and it became a regular part of my diet. I no longer live in Denver, but since I work for a large tech behemoth with a campus in Broomfield, I travel to the area every now and then. I must eat at Tokyo Joe's every time I go, and this time I went to this particular location. The first thing to mention is that if you look this place up on Yelp and get driving directions, it will lead you astray. It actually puts you a good quarter of a mile away, on the wrong side of a major road. With enough persistence, and several hours to kill before your flight out of town, you can find the place tucked into a small strip mall surrounded by other small strip malls and big-box stores. The actual restaurant is smallish, like most Tokyo Joe's locations, but very clean and open. The service is quick and friendly. The Spicyaki sauce (my personal favorite) has great flavor and just a little bit of a kick. The food was delivered to my table hot and fresh, and the small bowl was enough to fill me up. At other locations, I've tried various dishes on the menu and have yet to be really disappointed in any of them. My advice is to come here several times and experiment with the menu. It's really hard to go wrong with any of it.

I have been going to this Tokyo Joe's since they opened. If you want fresh and healthy but also remarkably delicious, this is the place. I come here after the gym for a brown rice bowl with chicken and steamed vegetables and feel like I'm doing my body good. Nothing is fried, ingredients are very fresh, sauces are quite varied and made well. In particular, the staff is exceptional. Friendly to everyone, remarkably efficient, and not a bit of hipster attitude. Many sport some body art which might give some older folks initial pause (it's actually part of the restaurant's theme) but frankly I have rarely met a nicer group of people, many of whom have been there for quite some time which hopefully indicates that management is treating them well. If you come often enough, they make a habit of trying to learn your name as well - always a nice touch after a hectic day. The only note is that the men's room could use cleaning more often, especially the paper towel receptacle.

This is a really good place. They have great food and you can also watch CNN or the Weather Channel while you eat, if you want. And they have good music too. The Joe's Special (a.k.a. Joe's Bowl) is excellent. It's basically a chicken and rice bowl. I get it with brown rice, brocolli and curry sauce on the side. The chicken is moist and tender, well prepared. Their fresh-made curry sauce is SOOO good, and the rice is always the right consistency. The brocolli is organic. Tokyo Joes is all over Denver nhow, but I like the Tokyo Joe's in Louisville because they are very good about always getting your order right and the kitchen gets it out quick. They are well-managed. It's like a bunch of Gothic MBA's. Sorta cool.

Great portions. Don't overlook the salads which I think have recently grown (more lettuce, more veggies). Also some of the best miso soup I've had around Louisville.
