I'll admit I didn't try the custard. I just wanted a decent burger, shake and fries and that's what I got. So the burger patty is thin. I'm definitely not used to that, so anyone looking for a hearty meal may need to get two burgers. However the classic ketchup/mustard/pickles/onions within the burger was exactly what I wanted. I love the thing crispy fries. I especially love that they have dedicated sauce for the fries. But my favorite is the shakes. You can choose amongst many flavors. They use vanilla as a base and then create to your liking. You better believe I went with peanut butter. It was an epi pen's dream. Some people got strawberry which had legit chunks of fruit. If I'm hungry and want a basic old fashioned burger with fries and a twist, I'll be back. I'll try the custard next time too!

We've been to Freddy's in other states and this one was just as good. There fries are a little salty but still good. The only reason I didn't do 5 stars is because it was really loud. Hard to hear the cashier or people calling out order numbers maybe consider turning the music off and a lit order number display

The $7 California triple steak burger with everything was easy. Too easy I wasn't pleased that I was still hungry. Good quality with a lot sodium! Salt! I recommend you ask for no salt. Add your salt and it's all good. I'll gladly dine at five guys over Freddy with my free peanuts. It's good hamburger don't hesitate to try one. You'll be happy and your appetite will be filled. I'm not an average joe... :)

The custard is amazing here. Since moving to the area my wife and I have an addiction to stopping over and getting their 'concrete' deserts. This is all we really come for. The California burgers taste almost like In N Out, but the burgers are really really salty. In my opinion it makes them not worth it, but I really don't like salty things.

I like the flow and pace of this restaurant. The dining area and bathrooms are usually clean as well. Affordable prices and punctual staff. Always have had a good experience. The fries are great too.

Best custard and customer service you'll ever get at a fast food joint. Takes awhile to cook but it's worth the wait, since everything is made to order, even the ice cream!! No matter who is working, I always get treated with kindness and a smile that brings me back. Great variety of toppings is also another plus!!

Ordered the Brownie Sunday. WHOA. If you need a Chocolate fix. Here you go. Take a Delicious Fudge Brownie. Add in Warm Chocolate Sauce and somewhere in there, floating around is a Scoop of Chocolate Frozen Custard. Top with Whipped Creme and a Cherry. What you get is one Great Dessert. The Staff here work like a Well Oiled Machine. The Seating area is clean and spacious. And Nothing is blocking off where they make the food. You get to see it all.

With steakburger in the name I was expecting more than some little sliver of meat, left me wondering "where's the beef?"

I love the food and menu, however I don't like when two times in a row your employee messed up my order via the drive thru. Usually very pleasant and nice, yet can't seem to get my order right. I think a bit more time making sure it is correct would solve this problem. You ruined my lunch yesterday because of the mustard. No Thank You.

SALT BOMB! It's good but I've never had a salter fast food meal in my life. If given a choice I would pick Five-Guys or Smash over this place.

The hamburger patties are like those from smashburger. The buns are full of grease and come with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onion and mustard. The burgers are probably one of the best things at the joint. This place is lacking in any common sense food science when it comes to the rest of the food. The onion rings, which were heavily soaked with grease, probably because the friar is not hot enough causing the batter to soak up more then is needed. The chili cheese fries where soaked and soggy. The fries are shoe string and are piled on with chili, fake yellow cheese (yuck :P ) and onions. If you're going to make chili cheese fries with lots of sauce -- try thicker fries with a larger surface area. The frozen custard was okay, maybe a little too sweet. Overall, this place reminds me a lot of Goodtimes, except that the burgers are smashed.

Yummy! Good burger, great flavor and they have FRY SAUCE! One star knocked down for employees taking up seating in the dining room while the dining room was full.

The stantions, painted red, make it appear as though they expect an entire herd of dairy cattle to show up. Clearly, a waiting line of over 50 people could be easily accommodated. It looks like it's out of the 50's but is apparently only about two years old. The burgers were a tad greasy, but good. We had a steak patty melt and a California double burger combo. The fries were cut super thin, so mostly surface area adding to the flavor. The tables and seating were clean. The music was loud and exceedingly annoying, eventually driving us out of the place. There IS free wifi. And there's drivein service so you don't have to suffer the music. Still, a good fast-food experience. If they would only kill that music. Or at least, show some mercy and turn down the volume.

Simply put, this is the best fast food restaurant I've ever been to. Their steakburgers and skinny fries are even better than In-N-Out Burger. Oh, and they actually keep their tables clean, even when they are busy.

I don't eat fast food very often, but yes I tried Chicago dog. It was good plus customer service is great! Good management!

Hmm where to begin... Well I was really excited about this place but wasn't all that impressed. Their burger was really really salty and so were their fries. I mean take out all that salt and that perfect side sauce would've been enough. I would say the burgers are pretty overpriced it was $17 for a meal and a burger alone. Then I ordered the chocolate custard waffle cone which was about $2.50 it was good but it was huge. The feel of the place is kool, very vintage, the employees were all very friendly. Overall I may come back for some custard, but not their burgers.

burgers are OK - thin and crispy. Get a double. Toppings are good too. Get a Cali style with pickles for a good Steak-N-Shake equivalent. Chi dogs are close, but no poppy seed bun. Super thin fries (but you already knew that). I miss Chicago's Best, but Freddy's is good too!

GREAT burger! Ate here on Friday. The fries are kind of weird--like shoestring potatoes. I love that they offer fry sauce though. Very good.

Quick service for the drive-thru was the best thing about my experience. The burger, as mentioned at other locations, is very very thin (like, I could see the mustard through it). While good, it is very much over powered by the condiments. The pickles were long slices, which was nice. I had the single steakburger, small fries, and mini brownie sundae. The fries were pretty good, salty but thin and crispy. The sundae was half melted by the time I got home, but unless they use ice cream instead of custard, it wasn't that good for "custard". The brownie was also hard and small. Overall, I thought it was better than Good times (or at least less greasy) but not near 5 Guys or other places like that.

OMG! EAT HERE! I'm not from the Midwest, but I've done my fair share of traveling in the Chicagoland area, and this place reminds me of Steak & Shake. The fries are very much like Steak & Shake fries - thin, crisp, hot, perfectly seasoned, and just plain delicious. You should probably dip them in a milkshake or malt. The restaurant is very cute, like an old-fashioned diner, and very clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly (but not overbearing). The food was AWESOME. It's also vegetarian-friendly.

I drive a lot between fort collins and louisville / boulder so i almost always pass this on my way down. It took me a wile to finally get around eating here but as soon as i did iw as hooked. I'd compare Freddy's to Steak n Shake, in terms of their burgers and frys. Now on the subject of their frys... they are AMAZING. Due to their small size there perfectly crispy every time. When i come here i actually eat EVERY SINGLE FRY they give me before I'll even touch the burger. Plus you can get fry sauce for the frys which is awesome as well. I'm almost happy freddy's isn't near my house or where i end up in boulder because i'd buy a bag of frys every day if it where close. Don't get me wrong, the burgers are also pretty good, super flat paddy with some of the better pickles you'll find on a burger. Most fast food's pickles taste vinegary and sour, i tend to pick them off, however these aren't like that they seem... fresher, weird to say about a pickle. I usually frequent the drive though however i did eat inside once. The inside was cleaner than most fast food places. And the Drive though is generally fast. No problems with ether. The staff has always been really nice as well. The only reason that this place isn't 5 stars is because its slightly more expensive than what i want to pay. The #1 tends to come out to 7.05ish which is a little more than i want to spend on a burger meal. However the quality is WAY higher than more common chains like BK lounge or McD's.

It isn't In n Out, and its not trying to be. But as my personal needs longing for In n Out, this place will definitely do. The frozen custard deserts are absolutely sinful. The texture and flavor of the custard is something that has to be tasted for yourself. Like they say in the movies, "they should have sent a poet" because the custard is so good it is hard to describe. The fries are unique to this place as they are fine cut. The burgers are a great departure from standard fast food fare. You are not left with a horrible lump in your gut and guilt for being dumb as you are with burgers from the big 3. I can only guess that the old "gut-o-meter" is telling me the ingerdients must be as fresh as they taste.

I decided to give Freddy's a try with their steakburgers. Not too bad! The meat patty is thin, not an uber fat slab of meat like many people probably expect but I think that is kind of the idea. I am not complaining, I am glad I got a thin patty. I also ordered shoe string fries which were decent. To top it all of I had a strawberry malt. Not bad, not the best I have ever had but not bad. They use real strawberries in the shakes and malts which is good but they tend to plug your straw so be sure to get a spoon so you can dig them out.

Worth the 20 minute drive! I love that the patties are thin and crispy around the edges. The cheese fries are also a fun indulgence!

So good and so fresh! They blow Smash burger out of the water! No grease dripping down your arms... I am definitely going back so I can try the patty melt!

Burger are good, thin grilled steak with shoestring type fries. Reminds me of the Friendly's chain I used to go to growing up on the east coast. Service is fast & staff friendly. Great place to grab a quick bite without the typical fast food atmosphere.

These are now the best burgers in Longmont! Freddy's most resembles places like Good Times or Five Guys, but it's unique and wonderful. The "steakburgers" are freshly made to order, so you'll wait a little longer here than you might elsewhere, but in exchange you're eating a freshly cooked meal instead of reheated generic food. The Freddy's Original Double is played up on the menu, but if you look closely a Single Steakburger is on there too. That's always been enough for me. The burgers are thin, but are still a lot of food. The fries are thin and crispy, and Freddy's fry sauce is delicious. You'll get more when dining in than when you take out. If you're ordering three meals, get two orders of fries to share; it'll be plenty. Concretes are Freddy's cross between ice cream and frozen yogurt. The texture is thicker than yogurt but softer than ice cream, and the taste is as good as both. I'm always happy with a single scoop of plain chocolate, but you can add toppings like oreos and gummy worms, or choose a "sundae" that has toppings already included. The "mini" size is particularly excellent if you don't want a huge amount of dessert, but still want a tasty treat to finish off your meal. You can order and pay for lunch and dessert at the same time and ask them to "hold" the concretes until you're ready. Go back up with your receipt when your'e ready for dessert and they'll start making the concretes, so they don't end up melting while you eat. (Of course, if you want everything at the same time they're happy to do that too.)

Our family loves this places. Great burgers and fries, and great custard. If you go for the whole package, you may end up spending a bit more than you are used to on fast food, but give them a try.

So we tried this place last night for the first time. The fries are utterly disappointing. The burgers were pretty good but a little on the thin side. Did not care for their system of calling out orders ready over an intercom continuously. Why not get folded plastic numbers you can take to your table and then have employees bring you your order when it is ready?? It was hard to have a relaxing quiet meal when the constant blaring of an order being ready kept going on. I have to give it a middle of the road rating, not bad but not the greatest either. Definitely room for improvement on service in my opinion.

My new favorite burger place. Not your regular tasting burger and a great price. Order a combo meal and be surprised at all the fries you get. A tip, if you eat in you get a much larger portion of fries. The meat is pressed pretty flat and cooked on a griddle so the outside is crispy/crunchy. I like to get a double California style burger with Jalapeños added. (They have many toppings you can add at no additional cost). The fries are matchstick cut and fried to perfection. Their frozen custard is simply amazing, silky smooth and full of flavor, very rich so share it or order a smaller size than you usually do (we couldn't finish ours) I've been there several times already and never been disappointed.

Not the very best burger I've had, but damn good. Burgers and atmosphere reminds me alot of In n Out Burger in Cali. Patties are on the thin side, so order a double. Fries are skinny, salty and crispy; but tasty. Good employees, speak english, and don't screw up your order. The entire Kitchen is VERY visible from the counter, and seems to be very clean and well kept.
