Jake’s Brew Bar Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

The bartender won't stop complaining about being at work. The tables aren't bussed. Very disappointing.

I have been coming here for a year and a half now and have only had positive experiences. I keep coming back for the microbrew selection that's always changing and the excellent service. It's a great local brew bar with a great atmosphere for happy hour or late night drinks. Downtown Littleton is a great location for this local business and has cute shops you can visit while you are out. Good people, good beer, and good vibes!

Great selection of beers and the staff knows all about them. Food truck was awesome too. Overall super excited to come back!

After 2 years in Colorado, this is one of my favorite local coffee and beer spots. Exceptional atmosphere and cozy space makes it a great place to spend time with friends. Really enjoy nearly all the drinks available, morning or evening.

Great coffee, great beer selection, great ambiance, great location. What more could you ask for? Also, great pretzels and brats? Well, Jake's has you covered there, too. Friendly staff who will chat with you and make great recommendations off of what you like? They have that, too.

I loved this place. Went in two weeks ago after exploring the area (I'm a transplant) and fell in love. I wish it were closer to me! I'm from DC, so, it's possible that my happiness with the prices here are weird to others but HOORAY a craft beer that's not $8-$12! The environment is comfortable and rustic and friendly. I was handed a freshly updated menu when I walked in and was enjoying my cold brew minutes later. There was a cool little duo playing some folksy tunes and, ladies, did I mention the bartenders were hot? Not in a douchey DC frat boy kind of way, but in a 'I'm so in love with Colorado and beards and flannel' kind of way. I'll be back. Cheers!

I came here during the summer and it was so great that during my trip back to Denver I made a long drive from my hotel to come here again. The bar top was full so I sat at the table and waited for about 5 minutes hoping a waitress would assist me but instead I had to walk up to the bar to order my first beer. After I finished my first beer the waitress eventually made her way to me and ordered a second beer. Awesome atmosphere and I love the beer so I'll come back my next trip.

Fantastic collection of beers, knowledgeable barman, nice interior. Shame there was no food but otherwise much recommended.

  • Phil B.

They combine two of my favorite types of brew ... nice hot coffee, and wonderful cold beer. The venue is small and seating is very limited, but on a great night, the patio works as a perfect place to watch the people walk by. We were fortunate enough to be out when Downtown Littleton hosted their safe trick-or-treating event, so watching the kids go by while having a cold brew in hand made those cute little parasites look even cuter. The costs were a little above average, but it was a good beer and having a nice beverage for the tea-totter of the group was very nice.

Located inside a great building. The staff was great and easy on the eyes. Coffee was smooth. Wish they had some gluten free options but at least the coffee is great.

I'm not sure about all the 4-5 star reviews of this place. I've now been there about 6 times and the attitude is always the same...pretentious. You're a beer bar in Littleton and you have interesting taps but that's where it stops. Customer service is horrendous, unless you're part of downtown Littleton's "elite". Maybe next time I'll come in with one of them so I actually get more conversation about beer instead of getting snubbed (it was not busy, either). On the plus side, I did have an entertaining time listening a bartender fill customers with false beer info. That was fun. I guess they rely on people not knowing anything about beer aside from if they like it or not. Cheers. Glad I live in Denver.

Jake's is a great little spot in the heart of Old Town Littleton serving up a great selection of craft brews and wines. I've been a few times now and every time have found something unexpected and delicious. One of the first times I went, they had Bell's Two Hearted Ale on tap. Shocked to see this on a tap list in Colorado, we questioned our server (who I believe was the owner also) who told us a great story about how he 'requisitioned' a stealthy keg directly from the brewery on a recent road trip to Michigan, and was hurrying to sell it out because an OTL neighbor was headed back to MI that weekend for a wedding and was going to transport it back for him. Amazing! That is exactly the kind of attitude and dedication that makes the craft beer industry great, and makes Jake's cool in particular. People who go [waaay] out of their way to ensure you have something uniquely awesome to drink are exactly the sort that I want to give my business to. I don't find myself in OTL all that often, but when I am, I will definitely make it a point to stop by Jakes.

If Ernest Hemingway were alive and lived in Littleton, he would go to Jake's everyday to write and have a (few) whiskey (whiskies). Jake's has that throw back atmosphere that I love and the small town feel that brought my husband and me to Littleton. During the day, Jake's has great coffee. There's not really a menu, besides the little chalkboard with a few drinks scratched on it, but if you ask, they can make a lot of drinks for you. I can't speak for the beer list, but the bartender did kindly make this preggo a mocktail that was quite perfect and fooled me pretty well. My husband is having fun trying the different beer selections. There's not a full menu, but if you want a restaurant, there are plenty down the street. Go to Jake's for the atmosphere and drinks- that's enough.

This is our favorite place in Littleton I love the beer I love the coffee it's a good atmosphere all the time you should definitely go here!

This is more of what the craft beer world needs. Was in town on business and always try to find "cool" places to drink local beers. Well to say I found it is an understatement. This funky dive is in downtown Littleton and definitely has a great vibe. Real people drinking real beer. It's also a coffee shop, has darts, board games, and eclectic books. The staff are knowledgable and do a great job. They greet customers by first name which is something I enjoy anywhere, even if it's not my name.

I know what you're thinking - "Gee Wiz, Vodka likes a bar. Who'da thunk it?" But here's the deal, good people - there's bars, and there's places like Jake's. My first visit was to meet a good friend who had been here once before. The bartenders remembered her and were very friendly and welcoming. They took care of the entire bar without anyone running empty. Or at least I didn't. Which is all that really counts. It's spacious, has a nice patio on the street on downtown Littleton, and has a nice group of patrons. Happy Hour consists of $3 Colorado beers, which is awesome. And no, that doesn't mean Coors light drafts. Real craft beers from our beloved state. The menu is just tapa's (hipster for "appetizers", but the queso dip and sausage platter were both hitting the spot. This is a great bar. In fact, I think it's my favorite now. It's great to have a spot like like this near my new 'hood! Oh and one more thing - next time I come here, I'm using the women's bathroom. I don't care if it gets me thrown out, it's far too beautiful to not open to the public. Trust me.

Only one sentence: there is a new beer garden with a fire pit outside and it is AWESOME.

    (5)
  • Matt A.

Great place to hang out. Great craft beers. They have a large area that is open in the afternoon and they have random food trucks in the back so you can get something new all the time. Also have a back patio that is also sweet place to chill.

I'm visiting from Germany and I can totally recommend this Place. Good choices of Drinks and Food. On top the nicest People ever. Hope to drop in soon again!

Jakes is a local favorite. Great staff and friendly atmosphere. One of the few places that you find a barrista and bartender behind the same bar. Great selection of micro coffee brews and beers.

    (5)
  • Paige B.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Jakes is amazing. Beer is Fab, Service is AMZING. only thing I would change is more seating !

    (5)
  • Nikki H.

Stopped by for a few mid-afternoon beers and while the place wasn't packed, there was only one employee manning the place so service moved a little slow. She was VERY KIND once she was able to help and knowledgeable about their selection. Their selection is adequate to the size of their bar, with moderate prices and pours. I was very happy to see a Boulevard option on the menu. Jake's is a nice spot for a leisurely afternoon with friends over beers. They also have a hefty selection of coffee drinks available. There is definitely a Stars Hollow vibe to this place.

    (3)
  • Jeanne D.

Great pub with tons of beers to choose from. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable about beer. I enjoyed the laid back vibe.

  • Lindsay B.

Love this place. Great local bar. Super chill and the staff is super cool.

    (5)
  • Natalie H.

This place has such a fun laid back environment, a friendly staff, and their beers are great prices. I would highly recommend going there!

    (5)
  • Aaron F.

Its what I imagine a real pub to be: friendly bartenders, excellent beers on tap and a laid-back atmosphere that includes board games, darts and a small but intriguing book collection. This is a great place to go and enjoy a beer and conversate with friends.

  • Jayme W.

If you are ever searching for a place to hang your hat for a few hours, go to jakes. Great, knowledgable, friendly staff and a selection of beer that can not be beat! No need to make this a long review... Just GO THERE! You'll see.

    (5)
  • Mo C.

Tons of fantastic beers on tap! Friendly staff. Just a great place to kick back with a brew and some friends. The toilet on a "stage" in the ladies room is odd but entertaining. I will definitely be back!

    (5)
  • Andrew M.

Great place to hang out for a beer or for coffeee in the morning, even lunch in the afternoon. Very friendly staff!

    (5)
  • Stephanie F.

I wish I could give this place a 5, but I went in tonight, and the coffee bar did not have coffee. Or, they did have coffee, they just didn't have the staff trained on making coffee drinks. Apparently, only the Friday night staff has a barista at this COFFEE bar. That just doesn't make sense to me. Anyhoo, perhaps I'll only go there on Friday nights then. But, I do believe customers deserve consistency and staff people that know how to offer what is advertised. It's tough finding a place to hang out in Littleton that caters to non-drinkers with micro-brew loving husbands. The first time we went, we thought we found our place. They serve Corvus coffee, and it was the best latte I've had in Littleton - and, I've tried them all. It really was the perfect place for us, so I'm just slightly disappointed that it's only perfect some of the time, and not by accident. I bumped this up to 5. This is really my favorite place to go in Littleton now.

    (5)
  • Jared T.

Love this little beer/coffee bar. Fantastic, creative, and continually revolving draft selection poured by extremely knowledgeable and friendly beer-tenders. Colorado beer happy hour is a great deal too.

    (5)
  • Mary W.

Great brew selection! Chill spot to hang out with some friends and chit chat in downtown littleton while enjoying a cold brewski :)

    (4)
  • Fred O.

Jake's has a great atmosphere. Thier beer selection is excellent, and they have a number of interesting choices on tap, including seasonal options from Colorado breweries. Also, wifi and the 4-6 pm Happy Hour ($3 Colorado Beers) is a great combination.

    (5)
  • Renee W.

I really like Jake's! Beautiful space - and the ladies bathroom is the nicest bathroom I have been in in any bar. Great prices; and when a keg is kicked, a new beer of a different brewer is on tap. I like the variety and styles of beers! Cheers!

    (5)
  • Jon M.

Very nice beer selection, too bad the service is terrible. Really is no service it is self serve. The employees stand behind the bar and play on their smart phones, have friends visit to cat and basically wait for customers to come to the bar and order their own drinks to take back to their tables. If you sit outside you will be completely ignored.

    (2)
  • Dean E.

What a great place! The coffee is great, free WiFi with plenty of outlets, a large TV and ample seating including a patio out front. The breakfast burrito was fantastic as well. To top it off, the staff are super nice. This is my first time here and I might make this my daily post-school study haunt. Did I mention they have beer?

  • Geoff P.

Jake's Brew Bar is my favorite place to drink craft beer in the Denver Metro area. The staff is very fun-loving, friendly, and knowledgeable of craft beer. One thing that I definitely love about this place is the staff clearly love their job and enjoy what they do. As far as the beer, there is a rotating tap list, so every time you go in there you can expect to try a new delicious beer or two from around the world. There is a great selection of local Colorado beers as well as beers from all over. There is also a good selection of beer in bombers, bottles and cans. Don't like beer? They appear to have a good selection of wine and hard alcohol as well. There is usually a food truck out back if you get hungry, and they appear to have a limited selection of food for sale as well. This place doubles as a coffee spot during the day if that's your thing but it is apparent that their love of craft beer is really what this place is all about. Craft beer lovers, if you want a place to drink amazing beer with like-minded people, skip the downtown Denver crowd and come to Jake's. Warning-you'll probably get addicted.

Great idea to do a coffee shop in the morning and brew pub in the evenings. The coffee is excellent but I wish they served brewed decaf coffee. You have to order an Americano and then you're paying more than you would for just a cup of Joe, plus you don't get a refill. Not all of us can do caffeinated!. They get pastries from a wonderful local bakery (Trompeau--yum!!). I don't know a lot about beer, but they seem to have a nice selection of craft beers to choose from and do happy hour weekdays (ends at 6). A broader selection of food would be nice, especially meatless. They have a really nice staff. Very helpful, you don't get the feeling you're annoying them if you ask for something (hello! why do so many servers have a problem with serving, and not only that but feel a need to make it obvious?) Oh and nice bluesy music, not too loud, but just right. I'm glad that the TV's been off when we've been there because that's not our thing. Great bluegrassy music on Saturday mornings that we're really enjoying.

Great watering hole! Beer selection is primo and they have live bands from time to time.

  • Clayton H.

I am loving this place. While the night we went they could not make any coffee, the beer service was prompt and friendly, the suggestions were great, and I just like the small venue to enjoy some great drinks and chats. This is definitely a place I plan to visit a number of times and hope their selection of beers stays diverse.

  • Melinda W.

Great place for coffee or beer with old and new friends. Perfect volume level to actually have conversation but not feel like the whole room can hear you. Really friendly staff. They don't really have food options, so keep that in mind. They do have a little outdoor seating.

    (5)
  • Jason M.

Good coffee, best in littleton by far. Not the best around but dang good. Great little place. It's our new hang it when in town.

  • Daniel C.

Great little place. Great beer. very good coffee. Love it!

    (5)
  • Jeff L.

Jake's is a wonderful addition to downtown Littleton. It is the place to go for a wonderful variety of microbrews that most people have never heard of. The staff has always been very friendly and super knowledgable about beer. I really appreciate their support of Colorado Microbrews as seen in their happy hour. It is my top choice for happy hr in Littleton. My only complaint is they aren't open on Sunday's. I would love to be able to watch the Broncos while enjoying the awesome variety of beers they serve!

    (4)
  • Shelly B.

Amazing beer selection in a quaint, friendly pub like joint. Lots of great local beers (24) on tsp too!!!! Plus, they offer full coffee and outdoor seating right on Main Street in old town Littleton a must visit for beer fans!!!

    (5)
  • Drew B.

Great spot. Nice selection of CO craft brews but not the standard stuff you can get anywhere, so it's nice to get a chance to try something new. Bartenders are nice and knowledgeable about the options. It's the best place to drink in Littleton for the discriminating beer drinker.

    (4)
  • Esteban S.

What a great concept. The bartenders are always friendly. Knowledgeable about their beers and have a good selection all the time. You gotta check this place out.

    (5)
  • Sho G.

Bars like this are hard to come by around here. It has a great atmosphere and beer selection. The happy hour is awesome and allows you to try tons of beer you've never had before. Hopefully I'll be coming back more often.

    (4)
  • Alan S.

The beer selection is nice, but the service is awful. We went out with our good friends to catch up and have a beer. The staff was discourteous and could not be bothered to help. They stood behind the counter chatting and ignoring customers. We were disappointed.

    (1)
  • Krista H.

Went there for the first time recently- what a cute place! Great selection of local beer and the staff is quite friendly and helpful. So nice to have a place like this (relatively) close by. I can't speak for the food, as I didn't order anything other than a beer and a coffee.

    (4)
  • Anson R.

Really great. People that work here are great and pretty solid beer menu. Also, just had a danish the other morning that was worth every penny.

    (4)
  • V B.

Good selection of beer, good dart games, cheap specials. Will come on next visit to Colorado.

What a great little place hopefully not shadowed by the mediocre Merle`s & Tavern for drinks. The real thing !

Great atmosphere, great coffee, and baby friendly!!

  • Jessica O.

Have been here twice now and have to say I love this place. The bar tenders are so friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us tastes of different beers to help us decide what to order. And you can bring food in! People have given 4 stars because of the limited menu but you can easily stop in to one of the many cafe's/restaurants nearby and bring your food in to Jake's. One day I went with my sister and 6 1/2 month old baby, they are kid friendly! We sat out front and had a beer and people watched. Today I went with my husband and sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender (I believe he's the owner). We had a great time. I highly recommend this place!

    (5)
  • Russell W.

Awesome place, friendly staff, good crowd.. mellow atmosphere.

    (5)
  • David G.

Coolest place in town. Highly recommended over the standard tavern scene.

Apparently I forgot to mention in my original review that the customer service here kicks ass. Seriously, these people rock!

    (5)
  • Kayla S.

Keep it classy Jake's!! I spent my New Years Eve catching up with a friend sitting by the window at Jakes. The local crowd was great, the ambiance was wonderful, and the bartenders (Chris, Owen, and Stephen) were fantastic! We had planned to go elsewhere after a few drinks but enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed through the New Year. My friend had a couple chocolate stout beers (which she LOVED) and I had a couple Irish coffees and hot tottie (both were delicious). At the end of the night! We were the last two there and never felt rushed to leave. Check out their treasure chest in the corner, the surprise costumes are a blast and bound to create great memories. If you like a classy, laid back place with a sense of old-time feel, you need to do yourself a favor and visit. I wish I could take Jake's back to Milwaukee with me!!!

  • Carmine I.

This place has a fantastic beer selection and atmosphere! There support for Colorado brewing is apparent in their beer selections. Feels very welcoming and relaxing.

    (5)
  • Michael H.

Really nice little place with excellent beer and good atmosphere. Bartenders are very friendly and helpful. I was only disappointed that they stop serving coffee at 6pm, so I have to dock one star.

    (4)
  • Matt H.

This place is top-notch. Perfect for the morning/afternoon coffee shop feel and 3-6 happy hour is awesome as well. Both their coffee and beer is done well. Great service, nice ppl.

    (5)
  • Kelli D.

What a great place; friendly, knowledgable staff. I had a wonderful iced mexican mocha. I'll definitely go back to try their beer selection and some nibbles. I am so happy to support a local business. I hope this place sticks around.

    (4)
  • Mensa D.

Jake's specializes in beers from fairly obscure breweries from around the US. Having tried most of the ones on their menu, I can say that most are OK, nothing to write home about. Its main plus is it is not an obnoxious sports bar running ESPN all day. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly bartenders. But three things keep me from being a regular: closed Sundays, early closing hours for a bar, and another review noted it was "baby friendly". Really? Give me a break.

    (3)
  • Aimee R.

I love this place!!!! The laid back atomsphere is awesome for the after work crowd..... the beer selection is top notch and the service is phenomenal. I don't even live in Littleton but love to join friends here as much as I can.

    (5)
  • Dave M.

Outstanding choice of draft beers, friendly service and good atmosphere. Now they just need more comfortable seating and I might never want to leave.

    (4)
  • Derald H.

This is the place to be in DoLi (hipster reference for Downtown Littleton) both morning and night! In the am you can settle in for a great cup of java from one of the small coffee roasters that the bar highlights. The staff is friendly and attentive and if you need a nosh to go with your Joe they import awesome pastries daily from Trumbo bakery. As for the "bar" portion of Jake's Brewery Bar the beer list is impressive and varied and the true hop-head should have no problem finding a brew to satisfy the craving du-jour. (For non beer fans they can mix up a decent cocktail. Or for a more relaxed environment on Friday night try the sister bar downt he street- Kate's wine bar) As with all great pubs the biggest drawback is lack of space during weekends and Happy Hour but that only adds to the ambio and makes Jakes' a true hidey-hole escape that we all need on occasion. Just get there early.....

So my first Five Star is not even a restaurant - well - not exactly, although they do have various snack food options which have proved decent. They also let you bring your own food in, or often they have food trucks on site. Jake's in short is what we consider out local. Not everyone knows our name - but a good number of the staff do, and while we probably don't stop in every week - we feel right at home there every time. We have introduced many friends to the place, often run into friends or familiar faces, and even if there is no one there we know, it is usually easy to strike up a friendly conversation. No surprise then that my wife chose it as the obvious place to host my surprise 50th party late last year! It was a great evening. I popped in last night for a beer and a chat with an old friend. My wife and I had stopped by earlier in the week as one side (they have two adjacent spaces) has a beer garden and it was a perfect afternoon for a beer outside before probably one last touch of winter set in mid week. Yet as usual - even going back just a few days later - there were some familiar taps - and some new. I think in total they carry around 40 taps so there is always something interesting to try. Cheers!!!

    (5)
  • Aaron J.

Positives 1. Great beer selection! And good coffee. I Think they brew Nova. 2. Feels like a real hometown pub. 3. A good place to meet s friend or to study (during the day). Outdoor seating is available. Drawbacks 1. The food is just so-so but that is normal for pub fare.

    (4)
  • Kaleigh C.

Love the atmosphere here and that the beers are not the typical things you will find in your average bar. Drinker beware, though: Some of these beers are high % ABV!

    (4)
  • Jenn C.

What a fun little place! Came here for post-volunteering brews with co-workers. The bartender was super friendly and very attentive (we were the only people there at 2:30pm). Had a couple beers and a great mule out on the patio, and finished up with a pretzel (that was on the chewy side, but tasty cheese dip helped!). Would love to come back for the night time feel!

    (4)
  • Melissa N.

Looking for a patio and a yummy cold beer?? Jakes is definitely the place to hang out on a late afternoon or evening (they have overhead strings of lights on the patio too that provides perfect lighting!). They have just a few snack options for food - soft pretzel with my beer? Yes, please! Jakes also has a great selection of beer on tap. I am not a beer expert by any means but they had great suggestions and the very knowledgeable bartender was able to find me something amazing....malty and slightly sweet. The bar itself is also super cozy with lots of comfortable seats and games spread about as well. When I was there in the early afternoon there were several people by themselves working on their computers and a couple of groups just chatting and having a beer - very chill and friendly place. I'll definitely be back!

    (4)
  • Jenny P.

Cool place. Nice tap selection with some hard alcohol choices. Simple barfood but good. Marcy the bartender is a sweet heart. Go Kentucky!

    (5)
  • Ryan S.

Jake's has been a great meet up spot, second office, hangout for the past couple of years. You can count on a good crowd, knowledgeable and friendly service and good brews from all over Colorado and beyond. Chris and Amy are rockstars. Definitely a stop for anyone who lives in the Denver area and beyond. The new beer garden side is fun but has a slightly different vibe than Old Jakes, so you can kind of pick your vibe.

    (5)
  • Libby H.

The best! And the crawfish boils are highly anticipated. Best place to meet and greet, run into neighbors and make new friends.

    (5)
  • Matthew C.

Amazing place. Coffee by morning and beers by afternoon and evening. A true "brew" bar. The drinks they make are top notch and perfectly pressed. The beers.......well with that list I just want a cot in the back thank you very much. Epic beer list. This place has two of my favorite things, eat that Starbucks. I'll take Jakes.

    (5)
  • Duane M.

Met some friends here last week. We had a small party on the patio with a very nice set-up. From the name you know the place is a beer bar. Another bartender that does not know the differences between whiskey's, when you ask what kind of bourbon do they have they told me every whiskey, Scotch, Canadian and Rye. Oh well, not THAT important, but when I settled on the only bourbon they carry, Jack Daniels, and asked for it with water, it came with no ice. This place does not serve any food but will let you take in food from outside. Apparently they do not have any menus from the numerous places up and down Littleton Blvd. that offers takeout, That seems kinda lame. Colorado beers are half off during happy hour. They bar seems to pride themselves on the fact that they do not have adequate staff, as the chalk board tells you to come to the bar if they don't come to you. I see no reason to return to this place.

    (2)
  • Kendall F.

This is honestly the best bar in denver! Beer selection is incredible and the staff is perfect!

    (5)
  • Pam C.

Great ambiance. I've been here a number of times now. It has two sides. The smaller side serves coffee in the morning and beer, etc. in the afternoon evening. The larger side has more beer taps and stays open later. The only thing causing this to not be 5 stars is the lack of food. You can bring your food in. They should set something up with all the neighboring restaurants to have food delivered - even for a minimum $. They could put together a menu of the different items that can be brought over. But overall, a great place as it is.

    (4)
  • Christian S.

My favorite happy hour spot in Denver. You just can't beat the selection and prices. The atmosphere is laid back and the beer garden is a great addition to what was a very crowded little brew pub. Take advantage of the board games and books while you relax.

    (5)
  • Steven Z.

Average. Came here with my side kick and neither of us were excited about this place. It may have been the vibe given that was given by the two bartenders or maybe it was the guest at the end of the bar with nothing but negative things to say. Not sure but when the bartenders and guest start talking about the pretzels being 5 years old and I'm eating them as they joke I don't feel to comfortable about my atmosphere or the people there. They clearly have no common sense about the business industry. Can't speak positive about a place that speaks negative.

I really wanted to like Jake's and it's not that I didn't but it just didn't stand out from other bars I've been to. I felt like the interior lacked character but I did like that they TV's were off and people were there to socialize and hang out. I got the impression this is where the locals hang out. The beer selection is different than other bars, which is nice. For me, it's a great spot to spot along the way of bar hopping but not a final destination.

This place has a great little atmosphere of a local corner bar of 100 years ago. There are all different types of beers from all over the country and they have some ciders too. However, you need to be aware that the menu is next to nothing. They don't do sandwiches or any types of dinners. Just chips and things of that nature, so don't go there with dinner plans. People are very friendly there and we talked to several of the other patrons. The bar tender we had was the most pleasant fellow, but his co-worker was very friendly. I totally recommend going there first for a few beers then to another restaurant on the strip.

Jake's is one of my favorite places in Littleton! Good ambiance, great servers, and a fantastic beer menu. The tap list is huge, and features an interesting range of beers, everything from local IPAs and stouts to fancy Belgian quads. The list of bottles is great as well. Both have a great range of prices, from $3 up to $20. They have good coffee drinks (including adult ones if asked) and a decent wine list as well. I'm a big fan of the cozy atmosphere. The bartenders and servers are really helpful and friendly-- we went for my friend's birthday last night, and one server not only provided her with a free shot of whiskey, but got everyone in the entire place to sing a round of "happy birthday" to her. They've recently expanded with a new side and beer garden, so I'll probably try to make a repeat visit soon to check it out. Come to downtown Littleton and see for yourself.

Had the best night here. You may have heard us. It was the ultimate jenga battle, up near the live music in the front? We were in the side bar, with a little more lighting and a few more games available vs. next door (original bar is much better for a cozy date night and calmer atmosphere). There were some apps in the mix (nacho boat...about as good as it sounds), but we mostly came for the beer and a table big enough for our extended adult family. Will be back next time I'm in town!

I spent an afternoon taking photos in Littleton on a Saturday, and found myself parched as I had forgotten to bring a water bottle. I saw the sandwich board sign for Jake's Brew Bar, and thought a beer would hit the spot. I wandered in and was wowed by the list of 25 or so beers on tap. some of which I had never tried. I stayed for two or three beers and found both the staff and the other patrons very pleasant and friendly. A while later I asked my wife to join me at Jake's and she was as pleased with the atmosphere, beer selection and staff as I had been, and we have become somewhat regular customers here (as regular as we are anywhere - we don't go out for drinks very often). We've caught some great local music on the weekends, love the constantly changing beer list, and are always met with cordial servers who clearly love working there. We stopped in in early May and were thrilled to see they were opening a beer garden. While my son was home from Boulder yesterday, we took him to Jake's and gave the new outdoor seating area a try - same great atmosphere, pleasant customers and an even larger selection of taps than the original. This is now our regular, close-to-home watering hole.

First, I used to love this place. They had a great beer selection and pretty awesome goat milk lattes. That was a year ago... Recently, things have gone downhill. I want to see this place make it, but I won't be back after the barista served iced coffee that had sat in the back so long it had actually fermented. When I asked him for a hot coffee instead due to the bubbles and froth that SHOULD NOT BE THERE, he made a snarky remark, and I walked. I would have given Jake's five stars a year ago. Now, I won't walk through the front door. :(

Great beer selection on tap as well as bottle. Tasty bar snacks (hopefully not 5 yrs old). Beer garden to enjoy on warm days. A cool brew pub ambiance along with live music on some days. Gotta try this place, if you live or stopping by Littleton.

My brother and sister-in-law have been telling me about this place for a while, so I had to check it out on my trip to Colorado. The fire pit and string lights out back made for a very comfy yet simple atmosphere, and the bartender was friendly and gave us good recommendations. I tried a stem cider(little too tangy for my taste) and a Weihenstephaner (DELICIOUS). I'm not much of a beer connoisseur, but my brother is pretty big on craft beers, and he loves this place!

Jakes is my favorite place in Littleton to have a beer and hang out with friends. They have a great beer selection on tap. They bring in new beers each week. We try and hit happy hour at least once a week when all Colorado brewed beers are $3.00. On Fridays there is a food truck out back. The bartenders are friendly and very knowledgeable about beer. A great place to meet people, a very friendly crowd. The whiny reviewers on Yelp giving one or two stars to this excellent establishment are examples of the flaw of Yelp. Even idiots get to voice their opinion.

Oh Jake's brew bar how I love you! I have been here at least 5 times now and every time the draft list is different. Fantastic! Everything was fantastic! The service was excellent! The beer was cold and at three the house beers are discounted for happy hour. This place is the gem of Littleton. From Colorado staples like Left Hand Milk Stout to Russian River's Blind Pig on tap, Jake's is an A list beer bar. I will go ahead and repeat that: they have Blind Pig on TAP. Also they have food trucks & feature local breweries in the pub too. Great atmosphere & the most unique tap handles I've seen to date... A bunch of used tools & other random items (a miniature bowling pin) reclaimed to serve the ever so thirsty beer community here!

We stopped by for the first time on a Saturday in the late afternoon. It was pretty crowded, which would have been fine if the service had been impeccable. Unfortunately, it seemed like the staff were swamped and not handling it well. We grabbed a table on the patio (because it was the only one left), and waited for about ten minutes before we figured out that we needed to go to the bar to order drinks. There appeared to be only two people working, and they made us stand at the bar for quite some time before even addressing us. Fortunately, we weren't in a rush. We were happy to enjoy the atmosphere and watch the people pass by as they walked down main street. Once we actually got our drinks, they were just fine: a glass of wine, three beers, and a drip coffee. Nothing special to report about any of them, except that the coffee had tons of grounds and sludge at the bottom. It wasn't mine, but my friend who ordered it wasn't too impressed. I wish I could give more stars because this place is so cute and I LOVE everything Downtown Littleton... But for a place where most of the work consists of pouring from tap and opening bottles, service is what's going to make the difference. I hope it's better on our next visit.

If you want a place where you can feel similar to home, Jake's is the place. Mind you the husband and I venture here a lot, but that's because we love the atmosphere and we love the people, staff and customers both. Jake's is a no frills bar, aka this is not a restaurant: if you want a drink you need to get up and ask for one (usually), if it's not busy the staff will come around and ask what you may need. We love the live music nights and also the new beer garden! The line up of food trucks ain't bad either! And the real reason to go to Jake's: beer. You're not going to get the typical coors/bud options & thank God for that. Jake's sells pretty interesting selections. While somewhat pricey, you pay for the great selection that the staff puts a ton of time and energy into choosing. The staff care about their beer; they push what they love, but also have the knowledge to hear what you want and try and find a good fit for you. Hands down we love this place.

My wife and I have lived a block and a half away from Jake's Brew Bar since they first opened and we love the place, the beer, and the people who work there. We both enjoy a pretty wide variety of beer and I especially have a fondness for Belgian and German styles including Witbiers, Tripels, Quads, Marzens, saisons, and many more. The thing I love most about Jakes is that I can always find a rare beer from another country or from a small brewery from either Colorado or any other state in the country without having to travel there or discover it on my own. Jakes almost always has 6-8 Colorado beers on tap and they rotate regularly. They also have quite a positive reputation amongst most Colorado breweries and because of this they tend to get some of the very best or rarest beers that these breweries produce. Owen is their lead beer buyer and he has great taste in his beer selection. He enjoys great IPA's as well so for the hop lovers there is always a great selection of IPA's Double or triple IPA's as well as the occasional Imperial IPA. After spending so much time at Jakes aver the last 3 years I would say that one of their strongest points is that they always have great representations of almost every different beer style and many times they have absolutely the best of the beers in that particular style. If you are a beer lover I would recommend not limiting yourself to the Happy Hour selections. Explore the menu and try different styles. Let the bartenders know what kind of beer you like and ask for suggestions. Jake's also brings in food trucks Wednesday - Saturday in the summer and sometimes over the winter months as well, weather permitting. They also have live music or special events on many weekends. You can always see what foodtrucks, music, or events are coming by following them on facebook.. Cheers!

With so few non-chain options in the Littleton area, places like this seem that much more special. Jake's serves up a menu of craft brews and plenty to choose from - hooray! The atmosphere is cozy, kind of like your friends house or even Cheers. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a few bar snacks in addition to the beer menu. If you aren't in the mood for beer, they also have coffee options for you to choose from. Give it a try for happy hour before heading up the street to grab a bite to eat, or you could also swing by after dinner of course!

Let me preface this review by saying that my step-father is British, and I spent many of my childhood summers visiting his family in England. It is probably not fair to contrast Jake's against English pubs, but the standard against which I hold all American bars. Perhaps this explains why I don't hang out in American bars very much.... I was excited to move to Littleton in 2013, because it seemed to have such great character. I soon came to realize that--at least in the downtown area--it's pretty limited, and the few restaurants and bars that do exist are fairly unexciting. I considered Jake's to be the one big exception. In agreement with many of the reviews here, I noticed right away that most of the bartenders are cold and disinterested, but I didn't care. I liked the beer selection, even if it is expensive. I started going there more often when the garden side opened. I got what I perceived as dirty looks for bringing my child, but I ignored it because the ambiance is good and he enjoyed playing on the patio. Judge me if you will, but--as I said--I grew up going to English pubs where dogs and kids are equally welcome. I have never seen the appeal of an "adults-only" atmosphere. But I guess that's just me (and a bunch of crazy Brits). I went in last week to meet with a friend who I hadn't seen a couple of years. We hung out for a little while, and when I went in for a second beer I was told by a bartender that we would have to leave after 8 PM because minors are not allowed on the premises after that time. This is fine, but it surprised me since this is the first time a bartender has had anything to say to me ever, despite the multiple times I've been in there. They never make conversation, offer suggestions on beer, or describe the day's offerings from the food truck. I've been taking my kid in there for a while; we've occasionally stayed after 8 and never been told to get out. This could be a new rule, or an old rule that was not previously enforced. Either way, it was sort of a wake-up call for me. I have to admit that this is not the pub I wanted it to be (a relaxed, friendly place where families can hang out). It's not a matter of wanting to keep my kid up late every night. It's a matter of not feeling that I'm being shoved out the door so that the other patrons can have their "adult time." If we had had any rapport beforehand, I might not have minded so much. There are lots of other places that sell beer in this area, and some of them are quite friendly. I'll do Jake's a favor and find a new hang-out, even if it means driving a little further.

If you want to sit back and drink a good beer this is the place for you. If you're trying to party in downtown littleton you might skip it. It's a great place and I've been to some of the beer release parties a great place to try some craft beers.

Cheers!!!

The beers.......well with that list I just want a cot in the back thank you very much. Epic beer list. This place has two of my favorite things, eat that Starbucks. I'll take Jakes.

My favorite happy hour spot in Denver. You just can't beat the selection and prices. The atmosphere is laid back and the beer garden is a great addition to what was a very crowded little brew pub. Take advantage of the board games and books while you relax.

On a snowy day, Jake's was the perfect place for a game of battleship with my date. The staff was laid back and helpful, the environment was cozy, and live music certainly helped. Plus, we really enjoyed the coffee. I highly recommend Jake's!

Trust me.

Great place to hang out. Great craft beers. They have a large area that is open in the afternoon and they have random food trucks in the back so you can get something new all the time. Also have a back patio that is also sweet place to chill.

    (5)
  • Aaron F.

Its what I imagine a real pub to be: friendly bartenders, excellent beers on tap and a laid-back atmosphere that includes board games, darts and a small but intriguing book collection. This is a great place to go and enjoy a beer and conversate with friends.

If you are ever searching for a place to hang your hat for a few hours, go to jakes. Great, knowledgable, friendly staff and a selection of beer that can not be beat! No need to make this a long review... Just GO THERE! You'll see.

Jake's has a great atmosphere. Thier beer selection is excellent, and they have a number of interesting choices on tap, including seasonal options from Colorado breweries. Also, wifi and the 4-6 pm Happy Hour ($3 Colorado Beers) is a great combination.

I am loving this place. While the night we went they could not make any coffee, the beer service was prompt and friendly, the suggestions were great, and I just like the small venue to enjoy some great drinks and chats. This is definitely a place I plan to visit a number of times and hope their selection of beers stays diverse.

Great place for coffee or beer with old and new friends. Perfect volume level to actually have conversation but not feel like the whole room can hear you. Really friendly staff. They don't really have food options, so keep that in mind. They do have a little outdoor seating.

Great spot. Nice selection of CO craft brews but not the standard stuff you can get anywhere, so it's nice to get a chance to try something new. Bartenders are nice and knowledgeable about the options. It's the best place to drink in Littleton for the discriminating beer drinker.

The beer selection is nice, but the service is awful. We went out with our good friends to catch up and have a beer. The staff was discourteous and could not be bothered to help. They stood behind the counter chatting and ignoring customers. We were disappointed.

Went there for the first time recently- what a cute place! Great selection of local beer and the staff is quite friendly and helpful. So nice to have a place like this (relatively) close by. I can't speak for the food, as I didn't order anything other than a beer and a coffee.

I love this place!!!! The laid back atomsphere is awesome for the after work crowd..... the beer selection is top notch and the service is phenomenal. I don't even live in Littleton but love to join friends here as much as I can.

Outstanding choice of draft beers, friendly service and good atmosphere. Now they just need more comfortable seating and I might never want to leave.
