The atmosphere was neat and service was friendly . Very child friendly. In holyoke, this was the only breakfast place I could find that was open. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast it wasn't seasoned. I would probably suggest trying the haystack like the previous yelper tried. The gravy also lacked seasoning Update: The second time eating here everything tasted like it was heated up :( so not as awesome as the first time.

Very poor restaurant. The lady ordered our food before our drinks. The lemonade was AWFUL!! Tasted like piss. The burger wasn't to bad but it tasted frozen. Took almost a hour and a half for our food. We agreed NEVER to come back again

BAIT AND SWITCH! 1st, i must say we used to love this place, good food for a fair price, I guess good things never last forever. 2nd, I want to say, we (4 Pheasant Hunters) have hunted Eastern Colorado for 35 years and we LOVE to spend our money in the local businesses while we are hunting. We are all Colorado Natives. Not sure when we 1st found Kardale's and since we did we have always looked forward to having dinner there after our 1st day of hunting. We decided to sit in the bar. All of ordered the their cheese burger, the waitress was kinda perturbed about having to take our order it seemed. She asked each of us what we wanted with our cheese burger, Fries, Cole slaw ect. We all assumed we would have lettuce, tomato and cheese on it and at least a pickle on the side. It came with a paper thin tomato and a piece of plastic wrapped cheese and that's it, I swear it came from a roach coach. We got our bill and our jaws dropped, it was $65 for 4 cheese burgers and 2 beers. We said WTF!!! BAIT and SWITCH Turns out (Waitress NEVER frikken told us) our 8$ came with CHIPS and that's it! Turns out the fries, Cole Slaw ect... were an extra $3 which she did NOT tell us, and worse of all, we would have a tastier meal if we ate our BOOTS! When we ask her why we weren't told our Cheese burgers for the listed price only came with chips, she got a frikken smirk on her fat face and said "You never asked" and walked away. She is the 1st wait person that did not receive a tip from us EVER! We even tip bad waitresses thinking maybe they're just having a bad day. This waitress/bartender was a scam artist. What happened to our favorite traditional restaurant? When we think Pheasant hunting, Kardale's has always been in those thoughts. Sorry to say, it will just be a bad memory now. I would not ever again recommend Kardale's to anyone, even an enemy! Like Carmen said, you'd be better off buying food at the kWIK Stop down the street and she is right, I gave one star cause I had no choice! YUK!!!

This place does not even deserve the one star I had to give it to make this review. The food and service was horrible and the food was overpriced. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. You are better off getting a frozen burrito from the Kwik Stop down the street.

Did not find this place to be super good. Frozen food that's been heated up or cooked. But Holyoke does not really have many options

Holy smoke Holyoke you have a winner here. I asked a guy where the best place in town was to get breakfast and he pointed across the street to Kardale's I said thanks and walked across the street. Coming up to the door there was a couple people coming out, I asked what was good on the menu, and without any hesitation they quickly said the Haystack, I said thanks and walked in. As I entered I was greeted to how ya doin, and sit anywhere you want and I'll be right with ya. With menu in hand and coffee on the way I browse over the menu, and there it was the Haystack it is offered in a whole order or half, I ordered the half. The waitress brings out a large pile of crispy golden brown hash browns with real sausage gravy (not out of a bag or can) spread across the top of it and hidden underneath the hash browns were 2 sausage paddies. I called the waitress over and said I thought ordered the half order, and she smiles and said that is the half order.
