This place is an Aspen institution, a main attraction, a place you gotta try once! That said, the food is just plain diner food, and do beware, the salads are extremely heavily dressed! (Also, what's the deal with the clothing store downstairs? Used to be great, now it's just a cluttered, bejeweled, mess!)

Really good food (their veggie burger is awesome w/ lots of extras!), wife loved her milkshake, great view, and really nice staff. They even went the extra mile for me, which made it even more wonderful. Thanks!

Beef Burger was awesome! The restaurant was above a clothing store with open space so I was worried that the oil in the air would get on the clothes below. I'll be back there next time I'm in town.

It's a diner. As long as you go in with that in mind, you'll be okay. The food was pretty average - we had hot dogs, burgers, and a chicken sandwich. The milk shake was too 'milky', but the fries were good. Service was so-so. We had to ask for the shake several times. The manager said - you should have been here yesterday, it took them 30 minutes to get the shakes out. Great - isn't that what a manager should be helping to resolve... Kid friendly, we'd probably go at a push, but wouldn't rave about the place.

Boogie's Diner is a great family experience. Burgers, onion rings, fries, pies, shakes... You wouldn't know it, but the menu is also filled with some pretty healthy items as well. If you want to avoid the crowds at lunch during peak season, you can usually get a table if you arrive before noon.

Finally a place to get reasonably good food at a reasonable price in Aspen... I wish I'd found this place earlier, that would have saved me big bucks. Boogie's is really a diner, and not a particularly fancy one, but the food is good enough and the prices are about average (about $10 for sandwiches and burgers...). It's located on the second floor of a clothing store (a la Urban Outfitters), which may explain why I didn't notice it earlier. They have both an indoor dining room and a large patio on the second floor: I decided to eat outside and it was really pleasant. I'd been vegetable deprived for the last few days, so I went for the Chinese chicken salad (about $10 too): it was pretty tasty and really big... I left so full I could hardly walk. The service was remarkable: they kept bringing me free refills of lemonade, and everybody was super friendly. Nice place.

DINER? Not at all. FUN! This place truly is "one of a kind". A novelty restaurant. The whole first floor is trendy, stylish, and unique clothing! The second floor is the dining area. Great for families. Pricey but totally worth it.

If you don't mind spending $13.00 for a tasteless tuna fish sandwich with a very slim slice of tomato and a wilted piece of lettuce along with a coke, this might be the place for you. Because the waiter was ok and I tipped him 20% , the bill came came to almost $16.00 I think i'll try something different for my next lunch. Sorry Mr. Boogie but I think you can do better

So I debated two versus three stars on this. Why two? Because the quality of the ingredients is very mediocre and the prices are quite high....but alas, this is Aspen, so I didn't think it was fair to ding them on pricing. The food was fairly standard, 'meh'-inducing diner fare. There are better options for a couple bucks more all around. I'd skip this.

Very cool, hip and trendy clothes. Tons of trendy jeans and the coolest tees to die for! I picked up Bejeweled tees on sale $19.99 each. Made my day in Aspen. Need to spend time picking thru sales racks but worth the finds! A must stop!

Cool location in Aspen. Enjoyed the outdoor upper deck seating. They have a great herb garden. Food is nothing to write home about but it is certainly solid and diner-ish. Two of us ordered fries and they came out cold. They did replace them promptly as soon as we let them know. Buffalo wings were great.

We came upon this place while looking for brunch before snowmobiling. It was about 11:45 and the host pressed us to decide between lunch or breakfast. Lunch couldn't be ordered for another 15 minutes he said, so I digressed and agreed to the breakfast menu (which my husband preferred). I decided on the most "lunchy" item on the limited breakfast menu: Ham & Swiss Monty Cristo. ICK. A sliver of a shaving of cheap ham and between two slices 1" thick white bread. Apparently, there was supposed to be cheese and egg, but I certainly couldn't find or taste either. Oh, this item was over $10.00. Husband had a $8 omelete which required additions of cheese, mushroom, pepper, etc. for $0.95 each. What is an omelete if it doesn't include any of these? Scrambled eggs, I think!! Booooo. Should have waited for Ajax Tavern to open at noon.

Had lunch here first day in town. Great tuna steak sandwich. Special was open faced turkey sandwich which looks great

My friends were starving and we wanted a place to chillax and enjoy some grub but this was not one of the places that popped into our heads. The crew downstairs at the clothing shop advised us otherwise. Good-times!

I try to make it a point to order the specials from restaurants I know nothing about. In this case it was the open faced turkey sandwich, which brought back memories of Thanksgiving leftovers. It was one of the most enjoyable meals that i had while in Colorado, and that's saying a lot seeing as how most of my Colorado culinary experiences usually left me disgruntled and still hungry.

This is a really hip 50's-esque diner. I loved the home style food and shakes.

In a panic of "we gotta eat lunch somewhere," we ate at boogie's. We were the only adults who were not nannies in the restaurant. That being said, my sw ranch chicken surpassed my (low) expectations. Great for kids.

I've been coming to Boogie's since I was a kid and have always held every other milkshake to the Boogie's standard, so I was pretty excited to bring the boyfriend here to try it out. YES! The milkshake is just as good as my childhood memories (and how often does that happen?) The food? It is diner fare, the milkshake is really where it's at.

I like the food and service at the restaurant but do NOT shop at the store. My sister-in-law purchased a $200 blouse for her daughter for Christmas there. She purchased it on December 23rd. And my niece tried to exchange it on December 26 - yes, the DAY after Christmas. She had a receipt and everything. She was told she could not return it as they had a 48 hour return policy. Even after speaking to a manager they wouldn't budge. Not even an exchange. I have never heard anything so outrageous. Seems to me if you're going to have such a strict policy over Christmas, you have an obligation to tell the customer at the point of purchase, especially when they ask for a gift box. BAD FORM BOOGIES!

Nothing real special. High prices and slow service. They play 50's music and have old pics everywhere like every other diner. Plenty of over priced yuppie clothes downstairs for the tourists

  • Norma R.

I was pretty drunk by the time we got here, but the service was swift and the food was above average. That's all I can really remember. This is my most useless review ever.

I had a terrible heartburn from the Boogie's meatloaf sandwich. Food here is just average. Even Denny's has better food. The diner is in downtown Aspen and you actually have to climb up the stairs to eat. Ground floor is a clothing store (expensive!). The only thing working for this place are the shakes and desserts.

Sat down, given water but not asked if we wanted anything to drink. After 20 minutes of being ignored, we left. There were 5 or 6 servers for 4 tables and they all seemed to be walking around in circles. Only 1 or 2 servers were working but they did not have our table. The decor was very bright and goofy 1950's. 2 mexicans yelled in the back cooking food that was way over priced. AVOID this place.

This is a true American diner.... that sells denim downstairs - still working that one out. But as you would expect, prompt service, fast food and soda refills. We started with a bowl of chilli to share and strangely it was served with saltines, which seemed like a strange pairing but the chilli was very tasty. Following that up, I ordered the signature burger and my girlfriend ordered the chicken parmesan. What she ended up with was a meal fit for two, maybe three people. A decent chicken schnitzel atop a hefty serve of pasta. Unfortunately, there wasn't really any sauce with the pasta (except the sauce that came with the schnitzel), but they redeemed themselves with the curly fries that came with the burger.

Kids review - grilled cheese was good and tasteful. We liked the mint chocolate chip milkshake. Parents review - we went for lunch on NYE and the place was packed. Not enough servers on staff but they did their best. The decor was one of the coolest parts of this place - 50s-style car booths, neat art on the walls. Food was just okay, the kids menu was dreadful with not a healthy/non-fried option to be found. Mom liked the veggie burger served with cheese, sautéed mushrooms, avocado and sprouts. Portions are generous. The beer menu is limited since they closed their full bar and now only offer a few bottles.

Great vegetarian options and their staff are so friendly! They have some good vegetarian options and their milkshakes are the bomb. Great for kids or groups. The space is very open and welcoming. I think their foods are reasonably priced. In the summer, their outdoors patio has a great view of the mountains. Totally a good place to chill for a bit.

Awesome fun and super cool location. Definitely a good spot to eat if your not trying to break your wallet like most places in Aspen!

We came here to find a Saturday diner brunch and were disappointed. The potatoes tasted like cardboard and the food was bland. For a diner they should have a better brunch! They don't have fresh fruit and the menu is not great for vegetarians. Skip the diner experience and go elsewhere in aspen.

Such a fun and cool place. We ordered a turkey burger which was amazing. I highly recommend the oreo milkshake. They are amazing. The club sandwich was great but very large. Their curly fries were a huge hit. The chocolate milkshake was also very creamy and delicious.

Girl helping me was nice, get up to the register to pay for two pair of jeans for about $450 & dude gives attitude when I asked him what the return policy was....super rude! I will order the same Hudson's online, pay less & be treated better!

Sorry I have to review this place, if only to get the owners to sort it out. It was absolutely terrible. How can you mess up a grilled chicken caesar? Wow, just wow. You take really nice fresh romaine (the leaves were lovely and fresh and crisp and sweet) then put some abomination of mayo and about 15 tons of salt, then take one of your pre prepared grilled chicken breast that had become rubbery and salty as all hell..... Just absolutely terrible... I have no idea how you can mess up so bad, they have decent ingredients available to them here in Aspen but most restaurants just shit the bed. Really, even if you are coked out of your head this is bad, worse than a bad night out in Queens. NO

The remodel looks great! I just wish they would bring the entire old menu back because I was not impressed with the new stuff. 3 stars for the old menu items and the great staff. Frankly, I would give the new stuff a 1 to 2 star, who ever is doing the menu should stick to what made Boogie's so great or put more flavor into the new dishes. If the menu remained the same and consider the remodel... I would say the rating would be 4 stars easily for me.

We enjoyed our meal at Boogie's Diner. I had the hot open-face turkey sandwhich (and ordered extra cranberry sauce). It was good. We thought that the Matzah Ball soup was just okay but the macaroni and cheese was so good that we ordered a second one!

We stopped here for lunch while visiting the area. Food was pretty good. Very large portions. The staff wasn't very friendly. They didn't seem to be happy to be there. As a server myself, sometimes you need to put other things aside and give good service. I know everyone has bad days but it seemed like everyone was having a bad day.

It was a beautiful day in Aspen and we were lured in by the sign that said 'Patio.' Unfortunately, there wasn't really a patio... I guess you could say it was technically a patio because it was kind of an outside area but it was covered and enclosed so it didn't really do it for us. The patio was why we were lured, the 'malts' are why we stayed. Unfortunately, the malts weren't great either. They charged more for a malt and they definitely were disappointing even by shake standards. As far as food goes, it was decent. I can't complain because I ate what I ordered. Service was pleasant.

I've been here a few times before when I came to Aspen. It's in a good location in town, very hip place. They remodeled it recently, so it looks different, but good. The food is good diner food. If you're looking for gourmet, there are plenty of fancier places in Aspen. I had the buffalo burger, which was great. If you stick to diner food like burgers or the turkey sandwich you can't go wrong.

Came here for breakfast while exploring around Aspen. We sat outside, as it was a beautiful 70degrees out. Breakfasts are decent sized and reasonably priced. The potatoes are yummy and the server was super friendly..Is everyone this nice in CO? Sometimes it gets a little creepy, but I really do enjoy it. It is not that way in Scottsdale! That's for sure! I guess from reading their reviews, the regular food here isn't all that, but to me...it's pretty dang hard to eff up breakfast!

Ehh this place was ok. I ordered breakfast and i don't see how anyone can mess up breakfast but they did. My over easy eggs were over cooked yolk completely cooked bacon tasted microwaved my toast was cold the potatoes were decent. The waitress was nice and sweet but the food itself was ehhh especially for a diner.

This place reminds me of a Johnny Rocket's with half the excitement...and that's not saying much. No jukebox, which is a must, though there is an impressive collective of Elvis and Surfer dude-esque shirts in the store next door, as well as a Lil'Boogies across the street for Aspenites to dress their kids. Although I did not order the open-faced turkey sandwich, which on the menu appeared to be the specialty, I was not impressed with my meal. Seafood gumbo was runny and contained square chunks of fish , burgers (from observation) looked like cafeteria food. Service was efficient, if unmemorable. 2.5 stars.

It seems that most of your Reviewers are not accustomed to Aspen prices. Boogie's is one of the best lunches in town!!!! Quit whining & go back to Hicksville and enjoy your view. Great Items: Milkshakes; Hot Open-faced Turkey Sandwich; Tuna Melt-down; Aspen's Best Carrot Cake. BTW, if you're nice, you may even to meet a charming guy named Boogie. ;-)

Great diner food and service to match. First I'll start by saying that everybody in Aspen was so nice. For the diner, I ordered the 1/2 pound burger with added bacon, avocado, and Swiss cheese (cheese was extra on everything). I also ordered the chili (turkey was only available), and for dessert I had the Brownie Delight. The burger was OK, but I was initially pretty disappointed that they forgot the bacon! I mentioned the missing swine the first chance I got and the guy apologized immediately. A few minutes later he brought out s few bacon strips on a plate, and told me they were still going to take the bacon off bill. The chili was way better than expected. They used shredded turkey and the flavors were pretty amazing. Next time I'd add the cheese and sour cream. Finally the dessert came out and was enormous. The big hot brownie was covered with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate syrup, drizzled with caramel, and topped with a cherry. Yum. About 10 minutes later it was just an empty sticky plate. The service was pretty good and I appreciated how quickly the addressed the order discrepancy. They even knocked $6 off final bill (plus no bacon charge) for the inconvenience. I would definitely go back. aspenactivities.com/aspe…
