Rosa Maria’s Number 3 Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Having been introduced to this place over 4 years ago, I have yet to actually leave a review.... The place is small but the service is quick and food very tasty. Their menu isn't extensive nor is it pretentious, just simple choices at a decent price. The tortillas are hand made, so that adds a nice twist to the burritos, and the their chile relleno burrito with rice and beans is my favorite! The burritos are stuffed well and the hot sauce perfectly compliments the food, not really spicy, but good flavor. Great for a quick snack or a satisfying meal. I will be continuing to frequent this place for years to come.

Not a fan of the signature Garbage burrito (a bit greasy and a bit too much), but most of the other things that I've had on their menu are very tasty. Chicken tacos are excellent as are the bean and cheese burritos. No matter the kind of burrito you order, they don't skimp on the ingredients. The flour tortillas are soft and taste handmade. The house salsa is peppery and somewhat lacking in heat, but it does the job. The service is fast and friendly and the restaurant is clean. My advice during lunch and dinner rush is to phone ahead. They are fast at turning out the orders, but you're bound to get stuck behind someone ordering 37 garbage burritos for everyone in their department at ESRI. :)

This place is right around the corner from my boyfriend's house and one of his local favorites, so I decided to give it a try. I got a bean, rice, and cheese burrito with extra cheese, and it was pretty good. On another occasion I ordered a meat, bean, rice, and cheese wet burrito, and that one was just okay. I wasn't a fan of the sauce, and they didn't sprinkle cheese on top which is something I'm accustomed to when ordering wet burritos elsewhere. So if you're looking for a place that's close and has yummy bean, rice, and cheese burritos, come here!

So this place surprised me. I have lived here for years and never went in. They have the best rice I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Their fish tacos are amazing and huge. Great place if you're hungry! They also provide complimentary chips and salsa while you wait for your meal. The prices are great as well.

I had the Chile Verde Burrito, after not having the best experience but gave them a try and a co-worker and I really enjoyed. Now I will say this, not all Mexican / "Mexican" food is made the same. Texas, Arizona Mexican food differs from California Mexican food. To say it not authentic depends on the region because for those of you claiming its not authentic, take your version of authentic to Mexico and see what they think of your style. I come from a area that uses Panela Cheese, or Queso Fresco in my burritos. The demographics in the Redlands area uses cheddar cheese. Never had I had a burrito with tomato until I moved out to this area, but I now understand demographics, and taste buds different from place to place and from people to people. Trust me my first review was pretty brutal

(((WARNING))) (((WARNING))) (((WARNING))) This Sh*t ain't Mexican Food! I saw this place on Channel 5 News "Burrous Bites" a while back and bookmarked to try, I don't recall what he had but their menu is pretty basic yelp.com/biz_photos/rosa… Tacos are $2.75 each and your choice of Beef or Chicken, yeah that's it.... then before ordering I saw one that someone else had ordered, I laughed... the food is on par with this little GEM youtube.com/watch?v=wswX… Tostada - Beef ($3.75) yelp.com/biz_photos/rosa… Bland beef, lacking any seasoning and flavor, plenty of lettuce and Yellow Cheese, beans and a tomato slice piled on a crisp corn tortilla yelp.com/biz_photos/rosa… 1.5-Stars Garbage Burrito ($5.50) yelp.com/biz_photos/rosa… This seemed to be their claim to fame yelp.com/biz_photos/rosa… and since I already knew the Tacos were a Joke, I decided to give this a shot... "Without Rice. While the sign says "Meat" you have NO choice, you get Pork, which seemed to be oven roasted with no seasoning, then shredded, add Beans, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion and you have yelp.com/biz_photos/rosa… the place has some HORRIBLE gabacho salsa that didn't help out the bland burrito one bit. 2-Stars

Don't get me wrong -- I'm a die-hard Cuca's fan, but this restaurant deserves some praise! Food quality and speed-of-service are incredibly consistent. Kudos to whoever manages this place!

Excellent Mexican fast food with good service for walk in or call in orders with several nice tables outside for dining. Extremely tasty shredded beef tacos and very good bean tostadas. For burritos, I especially enjoy the bean and cheese burrito and the meat, been, rice, and cheese burrito with chile verde. The red sauce is delicious and the food is highly addictive.

First time here. Ordered a chicken burrito, only option other than pork I was told. It was good and the tortilla was better than most places. However, the service at the front could be better. I'm in the service industry and so customer service is a big deal for me. A smile and a helpful attitude can go along way.

I've eaten here quite a bit, and while the food is usually pretty good compared to the other local offerings, my most recent experience was disappointing. Let me explain.... I ordered a plain (all meat) chicken burrito and when I sat down and unwrapped it, I honestly squeezed about 3/4 cup of salty greasy broth (SEE MY POSTED PIC). My tortilla was soggy and super gross. After wringing an endless salty sludge out, I soldiered on and finished the damn thing. My friend insisted I say something though, so I kindly did: "Could I get my meat strained next time....is that an option?". I was holding the tray with the grease pool and held it up for the worker to see. They looked at me like I was stupid and didn't seem phased by the appalling abomination of liquid on my tray and said I need to "order it dry next time". ....but I didn't ask for a 'wet' burrito. I left and dont think I'll be back anytime soon. PRO TIP: ask for a 'dry' burrito if you order something with chicken or expect the unexpected. Ps. Just because they're "only a burrito stand" is no excuse for bad customer service.

Buddy from work recommended this place to me and we were not disappointed ! Very tasty food with good service. If you're expecting authentic Mexican food, this is not the place but it does satisfy the burrito / hard shell taco craving. Would definitely go back to try other items on their menu .

The employees are very friendly and the food is amazing. They have good salsa and the burritos are big. I visit Redlands often just for Rosa Marias

  • D M.

Rosa Maria's rosa Maria's is what I heard so off I went to find the redlands one. In route I called I place a phone order, and not being from the area I asked directions yet just got the cross streets and that's it. Ok so strike one however I did place an order and # 42 was given. I arrive and get to lady at counter I state my order number and flatly states stand over there. Sheesh no love but alas the burrito is maybe a saving grace. Ok so it's a burrito. And that's it. Nothing fancy. Nothing spectacular just a burrito. Sooooooo. My final yelp is poor customer service and average burrito

    (1)
  • Natalie Z.

I can't deny how good their burritos and tacos are. I don't care if I found plastic in my burrito earlier. Every time, I keep finding myself coming back! I can't stay away from this place. Their shredded beef seasoning is on point, taco shells are crunchy, tortillas are sweet and yummy, and the hot sauce is absolutely amazing.

I always go to the Rosa Marias in San bernardino, but since we were in redlands, we thought, how bout rosa Marias in redlands. First of all I order a couple of burritos, one was a garbage chile relleno, I didn't know I was charged double for the garbage. The guy at the register, should of at least let me know it was double. I didn't get a receipt, no sign that says double or extra charge for a garbage chile relleno. When I get home the burrito wasn't even close to being a 9 dollar burrito. I will never go there again. I will stick with the San bernardino rosa Marias. Guy at the register needs more training with menu and attitude.

Been going to rosa Maria's for thirty years or more, Redlands quality has gone down, don't think I'll be going out of my way to go there anymore

  • Adelina L.

This IS great mexican food. Especially their red salsa. It's home made. It has the roasted chili flakes in it. Thier tortillas are close to made by hand taste. It's Mexican comfort food at its best.

This Rosa's is my go to in Redlands , great area & the best food fast!

  • Michael L.

Been here 3 time because it's close with nothing else around this block or three. Grumpy and unfriendly service every time. Entitled attitudes. How hard is it to include a napkin and fork in to go order? No jalapenos!? Salsa banal at best. Mexican food? Really? Location is the reason to go here. There are plenty of great restaurants in Redlands as an alternative.

I'm obviously a fan due to the amount of check ins. This place has become a weekly ritual for my best friend and me. We just about always get the same thing....garbage burritos (pork, cheese, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, onions). I guess my review is mostly about that. They have 3 sizes available (junior, regular and extra large). The regular is usually about 16oz. This location is tiny but the line moves pretty well. They have outside chairs and tables for seating, but it is definitely a no frills place. I think this is best for take away. Their tortillas are home made and chewy. The employees are generally friendly, but I always hold my breathe that they have actually taken the correct order. Luckily it is right 90% of the time but often poorly marked. I've been loyal to this place for years and appreciate their extended hours (open Sundays now and later....until 8 most weekdays). Try this for a take out dinner and try not to be too deterred by the long line. You can also call ahead for pick up, which is convenient if you're on your way home from work or in a hurry.

I heard about this place on TV/IE Explorer and planed on taking the 27 mile drive to eat there. I took my elderly perents that love Mexican food. We arrived hungry. To be fair I rated every item. Bean burrito. ...... 4 stars The tortillas was God sent. The beans we okay slightly better then most. The size/portion... it was smaller then most restaurants nothing like they made for the television. On TV they made the borrito really big and fat. They had pride on how they can wrap it with a tortilla. If it were not for the awesome tortilla the burrito would have got 3 stars Enchilada 3 stars. The sauce was very good, EXCEPT they barely put 2 tablespoons on it they barely put any sauce it. I told them that it didn't have enough sauce if I could have some more sauce and they said sure 50 cents. The rice was good authentic Mexican Spanish rice. The taco 2 Stars very little meat tons and tons of lettuce and the meat tasted like it wasn't fresh. The service gets 1 star. No need to explain. To be fair I am going to the origional location where they filmed "I.E. Explorer" and order exactly what they made on TV and I will write a follow up review . It wouldn't be fair to give it a review off one visit.Maybe they have a bad manager at that location or a bad day. I hope the owners see this. I owned a successful restaurant and I see this location being so frugal that im sure many customers are not coming back. And good customer service cost the owner nothing and it can be taught. I've returned to restaraunts who food was was only adequate just because they have good customer service

    (2)
  • Gotcha 2.

The food ok depending on what you get aside from that I've been there 3 times and the employees are always arguing or something like that very small inside one of the only locations out of the 5 that they have seating I don't know it's okay.

    (2)
  • Juan R.

Food is good, but there's always something wrong, customer service wise. Never coming back.

    (2)
  • Allison L.

I've been to this location once and the food is ok... The biggest reason that I give it 2 stars is because they don't have any carne asada... I ordered the chicken burrito and I couldn't hardly eat it beacause it was way too spicy and my stomach could only handle so much spicy food... My boyfriend ordered the chili relleno garbage burrito and that was way better and another reason why I give this place 2 stars... I probably won't be back but if I do I'll get the chili relleno burrito...

  • Bonnie P.

This place is amazing I'm not sure how I lived before I had their chilli Reno burrito. it is homemade tortilla, a wonderful Reno that is perfection, and this shredded pork that is the best ever they don't muck it up with rice and beans. it is a burrito of true happiness. it is a little small so ordering two is a guilty pleasure. Also you must get the hot sauce. Any other thing I have tried has been ok, but the Chili Reno Burrito was perfection.

    (5)
  • Ashley H.

Best hot sauce everrrrrr. I'm not even exaggerating. It deserves every extra r I put on there. I get the meat, bean, rice, cheese, sour cream burrito. I die every time. It is so good. Seriously Cuca's who????? You can call in, they're open Sundays now, and their BRC burritos kick all asses everywhere. The meat is pork, which I like, but if you don't, the shredded beef is also divine. I'm not into garbage burritos bc I don't like lettuce in burritos. However I wear the shirt proudly. FAVORITEEEEEE

There Bean and cheese is so good.. must try.

  • Isis L.

I ordered a chicken quesadilla and I got something different. I got a large tortilla with big chunky beef chunks and with hardly no cheese. It was dripping of oil. It was not what I ordered and not what I expected. Very disappointed....the two stars are for the service. They were friendly and welcoming.

The Garbage burrito is very tasty a good mix of meat, beans, lettuce and tomato. I love going here for lunch, the only thing is you gotta pay extra for sour creme :/ when I think of garbage burrito I think of stuffing everything in there until it explodes like a trash bag! But overall a good place and good vibes... #goodburrito

  • Danny S.

I have been living in the area for over 10 years and have never dined here. Lots of good hole in the wall mexican places around...so decided to finally have lunch here. The place was relatively crowded on a midweek day. We ordered a tostada (beef), beef taco, and cheese enchilada combo. The menu was pretty weak. Not as many choices as Cuca's, Ramberto's, or Marias. Doesn't seem to have carne asada (could be mistaken). The meat is ground beef. The tostada was ok. Taco ok. Enchilada ok. The hot sauce was nothing spectacular compared to my favorites (listed above). Overall, nothing special about this place.

  • Debbie S.

This is my husbands favorite place to go for mexican food. He loves their tacos. I also get a taco, enchilada, rice and beans, all items very good. I like that they do not serve huge portions. Some places serve so much food you feel you need to eat it all so you're not wasteful, or throw some away. The cheese enchilada is small, the tacos are large, filled full and very good. My husband gets chicken and I get the shredded beef. Home made taco shells and lots of cheese on top. This is the Rosa Maries # 3 in Redlands.

We've tried to forgive this place, but I think the last time was THE last time. Their food is great, we love the burritos, but their customer service at this location is TERRIBLE. My husband got some coupons from his work and when he went to use it they acted like they were doing him a major favor. I've also ordered a burrito, it was made wrong, we called back and they said we could come in and have it remade I the house. Well when we went to get it, again, given a hard time. I understand they are very popular and maybe they feel they don't need to work on customer service, but if think no matter how big you get or how popular, you always treat your customers great. I go often and have never been impressed with anyone who works there. I don't even know if they've said, "hi!"

We love to order take-out lunch from Rosa Maria's - the food is delicious and very reasonably priced, the staff is friendly. They always tell me it will be read in 15 minutes, but its always been ready in the 10 minutes or less it takes me to drive over from the office. The fact that they always have our order ready for pickup when I arrive, which is a real plus when you have a short lunch break. The food's really quite good, and you can't beat the prices - tacos are about $2.50 and burriros are $5-6. I could probably go there 2 or 3 times a week without tiring of it. My favorites are the chile relleno burrito and the chile verde burrito, and my co-workers are gonzo for the crispy beef tacos. Don't forget to ask for some hot sauce, too!

I've been to the RM in Highland and the one on Sierra Way . We decided to try RM in Redlands, we were unimpressed with the size of the burritos. we got the garbage and the chillie rellano. We got them "wet" which cost $1.75 each way to much for the couple of table spoons of green and red sauce we got. The GB had little flavor not much stuff inside. The CRB tasted good but not much filling. We were very disappointed and will not be back.

  • Hung-Hei Y.

Not sure how good their meat items are but if you are a vegetarian, the garbage burrito minus the meat is a pretty good option. Me and my wife regularly stop by and it's probably our favorite veggie burrito in the area.

My heart belongs to Rosa Maria's #3. Being a picky eater with specific taste, I was never really a big fan of burritos, but when my sister dragged me here, my eyes lit up at the menu. YOU CAN LITERALLY ORDER A BURRITO THATS ONLY MEAT AND RICE. That's my JAM. I think it was around the $5 mark, but for the size of that monster, it was an absolute steal! They are also super accommodating with large orders. I used to go on burrito runs here during school for my friends (excused, of course) and they could make 10 burritos in 20 minutes or something insane like that. They're not stingy with their product either; if you want salsa, they will hand over a bunch of their little salsa containers. Icing on top of the cake is how ace their service is! They have the nicest people working the counter and prepping your food.

    (5)
  • Matt M.

Uhg its the best and the reason I'm uging is because it doesnt have over 4 stars on here!.. There freaking meat bean rice and cheese might have a strong possibility of giving you a heart attack but at least you'll go down with your mouth in full bliss mode. Got this burrito at least once a week when i went to dental school near by.

  • Fred K.

We ate lunch there. Chicken burrito, taco and tostado. Food was inexpensive but nothing special. The food was hotter than most comparable restaurants (beyond our taste). Ambiance was fast food. But there was a line out the door ...

  • Donatello T.

My favorite is the meat and rice burrito with avocado sauce. LOVE the avocado sauce!!! I order the same thing every time I go and it has never let me down. I just wish they were open later!

    (4)
  • Bruce I.

The food is good and fairly reasonable. Menu is somewhat limited and you won't find carne asada here. I love the hot sauce and order it regularly. However they do not provide a salsa bar and are very very stingy, to the point of being rude, about handing out their sauce. As someone else pointed out, they are like the soup nazi with their sasla. They act like they are doing you a favor by serving you. I really dislike that attitude. There's a lot to be said about customer service. These guys are lacking it.

    (2)
  • Jennifer B.

I love their chicken tacos! They are gluten free! I have an intolerance to gluten and love the fact that I can still eat these delicious tacos!!! Everything else is delicious also I just can not have anything with wheat(gluten) or flour which contains gluten.

  • Ryan C.

Just ordered a Chile Verde Burrito with Rice, Beans, Cheese. 1st lets start with the tortilla. So Good! Next the Inside of the burrito. It was very good. The Chile Verde had a great flavor. I was hoping for a little more meat, but that is more of me being greedy than anything else. If you go to Rosa Maria's it's for the burritos. They do have tacos but I haven't got past the burritos.... Priced right... Great tasting food.

My family and I have been fans of Rosa Marias for years. We're now WELL INTO THIRD generation of R/M fans. We started going to Rosa Marias when its only store was on North Sierra in San Bernardino, but it was worth it! Service at all of the locations has always been super, and the food, AWESOME! Burritos are hearty and full of flavor, with fresh ingredients. The "garbage" is a favorite of the family with lots of pork, lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. My favorite is the Chili-relleno burrito, stuffed with a large green chili (flavor varies from "sweet" to "spicy" depending on the time of the year) cheese, and chili verde, all in a tasty egg batter with more chili verde and cheese. Tacos are crisp shell filled with meat of your choice, lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. Overall the food is very good. One thing to keep in mind though is this is NOT "big-box Mexican food" and the prices reflect that. If you're comparing, it IS more pricey than "big-box" (a friend of ours complained about the cost of a bean and cheese burrito), but when you eat at R/M, you're likely to order one of their "signature" items anyway. For a REAL burrito challange, order yours "extra large", and be hungry, or ready to share. The stores themselves are very clean (even R/M #1, which is outdoors only) and the service super. If you're after a super Mexican food fix in the Inland Empire, make Rosa Marias your next stop.

  • Brian V.

All in all a good place for a quick stop. The hard shell tacos were very good. I had to get an extra one after my original order. Had the shredded beef. The cheese enchilada was good but far from fantastic. Everyone keeps talking about their burritos so I'll have to try that next time. The inside was cramped with really nowhere to sit. It's definitely not built to hold a lot of people during busy times. All in all, good food.

  • Liz S.

The garbage burrito was edible, nothing special about it at all. Becomes a wet mess in a few minutes. I would've given the burrito and salsa 2.5 stars. The service 0, so thats how I got to 1 star. Rude, act like they're paying YOU to eat there... I stood at the counter while a lady patted down to powerades for about 3 minutes, unless your blind (I take this back if so) your peripheral vision should allow you to see someone standing at the counter, especially if that someone is 6 ft tall (thanks 3" heels) well she proceeded to ignore me until she deemed it the right time to turn and snap at me to ask what I wanted. I'll never be back! If the food was GREAT I'd tolerate the bad service but the two combined equals a one time customer, and even that, regretfully so!

I dream of Rosie's chili relleno burritos, chock full of chile verde and a plump cheesy relleno, cooked to perfection.

    (5)
  • A R.

I give it a one star based on customer service and their very stingy attitude when you ask for more hot sauce. The food (BRC) is pretty good but i just can't get past how rude and crazy they are about not giving you more hot sauce and then looking at you like you are stupid/crazy when you want more than 2...they are small containers and some people do eat a lot of hot sauce. I gave it a few tries thinking it would turn out better and maybe someone else would be working, nope...the same lady at the cash register. very rude and mean. they even charged me when i asked for more hot sauce! aren't you supposed to get hot sauce for free with your food?? apparently you can only have 2 hot sauces per item there. i couldn't believe it. another review said it perfectly when describing them like the soup nazi and being stingy. thats exactly how they are. i will never go back there again.

XL Meat, Bean, Rice & Cheese Burrito. 5 stars all day!!! Probably the best burrito in Redlands.

    (5)
  • Kay K.

I make it simple and I'm being generous. The food was okay, small portions but wait! They do give you big portions of rice and beans! Real bad/no service, the unfriendly female cashier with glasses who took my order appeared to be in pain! Horrible atmosphere, small place, no place to sit and yet mediocre food with unreasonable prices. It really makes me wonder what would bring anybody back to this place. No reason for me to ever go back there again. The question is; is there any management rep in that place? Is anybody looking at how poorly things are going there? I used to manage a Taco Bell in Florida and there was absolutely no way for me not to notice if we were doing bad and the customers weren't happy. What is their excuse for being so lousy?

    (2)
  • Chris D.

Eat here only if you plan to never put the burrito down once you start eating it; the beans are so wet that unless you wolf it down, the burrito will eventually become a massive mess of slop. I live a block from this place and periodically stop in to give it another try. I'm always disappointed.

Cannot beat Monday Madness, 4 burritos, 4 tacos and drinks for under $25! Best is the Pork burrito. Beats Cucas in our families voting which is saying alot! Not a comfy sit in dining place, so that is why only 4 stars, but great to run in and grab on the way home from work.

Fast and cheap. Way better than fast food, but not nearly as good as a real restaurant. I recommend take-out since there are only a handful of seats. Good for lunch or a fast dinner on the go.

  • Kathleen N.

I am suspicious of some of the very negative reviews here. I'll bet they are from competitors. This place has been around a LONG time which is saying a lot. It is always crowded, but the service is good. You never have to wait if you call in your order. I love the #1 combo on the menu. I have been going to RM since the 70s when there was only one restaurant on 40th in Ssn Berdoo. The chili relleno burrito is fantastic too!

The Soup Nazi of Mexican food. No Space to eat, but if you're getting it to go, they ARE QUICK!

If you're Jewish or just don't eat pork, don't eat here! Ordered a chicken burrito and took a big bite into swine. Kind of pissed me off...and what kind of Mexican restaurants doesn't have chips & salsa? Boo!

Awesome does not even come close to describing their meat quesadilla!

From what I heard about this place, and after seeing the lunch time crowd today, one might say it is a local favorite. I ordered a pork, bean, and cheese burrito with sour cream. In my mind, I was seriously thinking that it's taste better be worth all it's calories. But I tried not to think too much about it though and simply let myself enjoy the meal. Sadly, it did not meet expectations at all. The burrito was ordinary and certainly I've had better. There was too much mashed up re-fried beans and little pork. The pork was tasteless, I was expecting more flavor from the pork. There was no contrasting textures to the burrito, all I tasted was mushed beans/cheese. Nothing special to the hand-made flour tortilla. Service, however, was very efficient. It's also good that they accept credit cards. So if you're hungry and craving simple, classic Mexican food, then this place would be an okay choice. However, if you are near a Chipotle, I'd probably suggest you go there instead of here.

This place used to be my favorite burrito place in town - however, earlier this year I visited with a couple of friends and we all ordered the chili verde garbage burrito (what I always get) and we all came down with VIOLENT food poisoning. One of us was even hospitalized. I called them to let them know after discovering the source of or sickness and not only were they defensive, but they were down right rude! I just wanted to let them know that on the particular day something went terribly wrong - and the lady on the phone simply told me that I couldn't prove it was their food that got all three of sick - even though we ordered the same meal and even though it was the only meal. Shame on them for not apologizing!

Great little taco shop. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas. The garbage burrito is the specialty. Shredded beef tacos are pretty good. It's a casual, inexpensive traditional taco shop but a little fresher than most of the others.

Same as the other location - pretty bland food. Some people rave about this place but I don't really get it. Their staple is burritos - from bean rice and cheeses to various meat additions. They have a garbage burrito which is a big sloppy mess suitable for a person with similar attributes. In the end nothing comes across as fresh as there is a lack of fresh produce (fresh cilantro, avocado, tomatoes, onions, etc.) in the food. Everything is kind of a big grease fix.

Didn't eat here because I went into the restroom behind the cook and she hadn't washed her hands and was picking her nose.......

I've always gone to the San Bernardino location and loved it. Tried the Redlands location for the first time and was a little disappointed. The Garbage Burrito was good but not great. Not as much filling as the burrito I order from their original location and the hot sauce didn't have as much flavor. I will give it a second chance hoping my first visit was a fluke.

Really good burritos! Their pork and chicken are seasoned and cooked with juicy flavor. No long waits and the staff is pretty friendly. Good for lunch time!

Wow! Super dank!!! I have loved everything I have tried so far. I suggest the chicken garbage burrito with sour cream added, chicken tacos, beef taquitos, and the enchilada sauce is fantastic. Can't go wrong here!

Good food. A bit too salty for me (and I travel all over Mexico for the food) but I still enjoy it from time to time.

I have to get my fix of Rosa Maria's at least once a week. Their tacos are the best around. Crispy shells filled with a good portion of tasty shredded meat. Can "too much cheese" be a problem? At their other location in Highland, the menu board lists junior burritos as a choice. If you're feeling cheap (!) or not ravenous ask for a junior burrito here. Smaller portion, same deliciousness! Oh, and you can't beat the 25 cent refills on sodas!

Stopped today to eat before the lunch rush. I've eaten Rosie burritos for many years at the original store in Berdoo. Today for some reason it didn't hit the spot, normally a meat, bean and cheese is oozing with melted cheese among the meat and beans but not today and the whole burrito seemed to taste bland even with hot sauce. $5.10 for a burrito that size was too pricey for something I wasn't rant and raving about. Service was friendly and quick and the place is clean. It just didn't seem like the Rosies that I've known for years.

This is a good Mexican fast food joint. The burritos are simple, prices are reasonable and the salsa is good. The staff is friendly and the place is always clean. Chile verde, beans, cheese and salsa on a burrito is good. The beans taste really good, I hope they don't make them with lard.

This place was not good at all! How do you mess up cheese enchiladas? And a chicken quesadilla is not supposed to be soupy! I don't recommend this place to anyone. Me and my friends left there unhappy and disgusted! It was a greasy, soupy mess! Sucked!

The chili Verde burritos are the bomb! Other menu items are OK, but their burritos are outstanding! Lunch is busiest time, as their take out business is booming. You might see several doctors from Loam Linda here, but don't tell anybody they were here! This is a "must stop" at least once every week or so. You will be glad you stopped.

I've been to all their locations but visit the Redlands one the most. Best chili verde ever. Always get prompt service and polite staff. Nice quiet informal atmosphere.

Solid place. Chile Verde is average but the tacos are excellent. Great crunch with a lot of cheese. Beef has a lot of pepper.

Best Chile Rellano burrito around. Famous for their "Garbage" Burritos. Got to give it a try.

My husband and I have been going to Rosa Maria's since the original walk up on Sierra Way, back in 1978. We have now been to all 4 restaurants, albeit Redlands and Highlands are the faves. The food is consistently good. Tacos cannot be compared to any other restaurants. The chile relleno burrito is excellent all the time, occasionally I will have rice added to it, which is also excellent. I've even recommended to my coworkers in Rancho Mirage who love your food as well. The BRC is an excellent staple, and these freeze well. I remember when you used to close for the month of August (the original), we'd go into withdrawals. I buy my in-laws $100 gift certificates at Christmas and Father's Day. It's a weekly staple for the them as well. We turned them on to your burritos about 15 years ago, go figure they know good food as well. Sometimes we frequent once a week or every other week, as there are none any closer, live in Banning. Believe me, no one compares to your burritos anywhere. I have yet to find even a decent Mexican restaurant in the desert for lunch. Honestly, you'd think the Coachella Valley would have some decent Mexican food within driving distance of Palm Desert or Rancho Mirage for lunch breaks. As for people getting "food poisoning" on your food, I can't imagine, maybe they just have sensitive stomachs. Our family has had hundreds of your burritos and tacos and never have gotten sick. That's another think I like about your places, they are consistently clean and well maintained, and I always notice the attention to detail with your cooks and staff (ok, don't know the Fontana staff as well, but Highland and Redlands) excellent staff.

I love Rosa Maria's. I get the Bean, Rice, and Cheese. The tortillas are so good and the beans too! But my absolute favorite is the hot sauce, not sure why just something about it is so good. I would give 5 stars but this location tends to be a little bit stingy with the hot sauce and I have even been turned down when asking for more before.

Stopped by because this place is closer to home than Cucas. That's pretty much its only advantage. Got there atr 6:45...good thing, because they close at 7. Strange for a restaurant. Tried the chicken tacos and the garbage burrito. The tacos looked very impressive when I opened them at home. I was really looking forward to the first bite. I was fooled. Mostly cheese and lettuce filled, the taco shell disintegrated on the first bite. Never a good sign. The chicken was actually pretty tasty, but there was less meat than a Jack in the Box taco. The garbage burrito had an abundance of one ingredient.....the tortilla. Too much of it. Way too much of it. Mushy beans and rice, among other ingredients made this a pretty tasteless burrito, even doused with sauce....which wasn't anything to write home about either. Same thing with the meat in the burrito. I caught a quick taste of some pork, but there wasn't enough to tell for sure. All in all, very disappointing. I'll go back only when I don't have time to go anywhere else. Price wise, it seems more expensive than other local Mex places. Fed 4 of us for $30....no drinks. Not worth the price. Better value and food at Cucas, which is also new to me. Clear winner.

Service is quick, prices are fair, food's comparable to Las Brasas or Oscar's, all in all a good place for a burrito.

My friend Christina brought me here. Since this spot is in her neck of the woods, I decided to trust her instinct and roll. Immediately walking in, I noticed that this place was packed!!! It was around lunch time, so I would recommend if you are going to come here, be prepared to wait. I ordered the chicken tacos with beans and rice. They came in fried shells that were freshly made, which I am not usually a fan of, but these tacos were some of the best fried shell tacos I have ever tasted!!! They were stuffed with spicy shredded chicken, freshly shredded lettuce, and fresh grated cheddar cheese...BOMB. I added spicy red salsa that is made in house (I asked). The rice and beans tasted pretty close to what my mom would make when I was a kid, but the rice was a little greasy, which is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. Prices are super decent for what you get: quality, homemade tasting Mexican food served pretty fast. If you are in the boonies of Redlands, hit this spot up. You will not be disappointed.

Following the success of the original location in San Bernardino and continued success with the location in Highland, Rosa Maria's is now in Redlands!!!!! Burritos are their specialty and the "Garbage" is the signature item. Lunch and dinner lines can be long, so telephone orders help if you know what you want.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
