As we were slowley passing Joe's Corner we decided to stop and have a beer. The open atmosphere is welcoming! !! The craft beer on tap is cold and not to mention goooood! Service is great!!! Melissa made us feel like family! Friendly, welcoming , feels like home!! I would definately recommend stopping by!!!!

Melissa and Bob has the best sandwiches in town. Coffee also is great, Luis makes it perfect every time! Sunday's are their corn beef breakfast days!!! And I'm looking forward to mines tomorrow! Love the staff as well. They make you feel like family, and give you that A+ customer service. Always a bonus when they remember you by name and get familiar with your orders. Expect Hannah on the weekends!! She'll sing for you every now and than. Her rendition of Katy Perrys "Dark Horse" was spot on! Along with the choreography. Melissa thanks again for the awesome service! Love you all at Joes Corner!

Always a good place to get a sandwich and a beer. A tad expensive though. I had the Spicy Joe and my friend had something else, add two pints and a bag of chips came up to almost $40! That's more than a bit much for my taste. YES, I know its family run. YES, I know rent in Niles, etc. But thats a bit pricey for lunch. That being said, I'll be happy to come back. My sandwich was really good and my Green Flash, Soul Style IPA was great. I think I'll save it for a special lunch occasion.

Out looking for breakfast. We had the French toast and breakfast sandwich. Both were great. The bacon was great. We will be back!

It's an interesting crowd in here on a Sunday afternoon. Some family, some bikers, some basketball fans, young lovers and me. The main room in the place feels like an old bar and the selection of taps is more than adequate to pass the test. The front feels like a coffee shop and the selection of pastries in the counter pass muster. We called ahead and ordered 5 different sandwiches. I got to them all out, all of then were delicious. Ecen though we called ahead it took a while to get our order out. Understandable, they were on the busy side. It was a great break from the weekend work day to sit and wait. They have some comfy chairs near the back, we had no complaints about waiting. I'm going back for sure. I'm happy o have found a great sandwich option so nearby.

Their service is friendly and the food is filling and full of flavor. It definitely doesn't disappoint. The only reason I'm taking 1 star off because the owner is a Red Sox fan. Go SF Giants!!!!

Found Joe's Corner on Yelp! and had lunch here today. This place is very fun with outdoor seating and free wifi. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I had the turkey pesto hot sandwich on ciabatta break. It reminds me of the Miami cuban style sandwiches. I had the side of Italian pasta that was light and fresh too. The owner even came out and greeted me and made sure my Root Beer was topped off. Great friendly service!

Well look who's all grown up, little ol' Joe's Corner. Back in the day, this space was one helluva dive bar. Seedy, stanky, punky, all the things that would attract degenerate, lackadaisical gen x ers. Now it is a coffee/sandwich shop. A quaint, country store feeling joint that baby boomers and weekend antique-ers would feel comfy in. Light wood, soft rock in the back ground, water color paintings, the new owners, though keeping the name has completely redefined the concept/mission. And you know what, it is good. Good for Niles, good for the commercialism of the locale The digs: Sandwiches are Italian style paninis, toasty, melty, meaty. They are modest sized, but they are dense and filling. Most meats are the cured Italian style, prosciutto, different salumis, capicolla, etc... I've actually found some of the sandwiches to end up a little salty due to these cured meats. I like to request some sort of veggie to break up the meat/cheese fest, arugula is real nice. Potato Salad is nice. Fresh tasting and quite mild. I originally felt it was a bit under-seasoned, but with the salty, cured meats from the sandwiches, you will be thankful for the mildness. Full coffee bar. Nice to have a cappuccino with my sammie. And the coffee is legit. Craft Brews on tap. They have at least 8 brews on tap, most local. Haven't been able to indulge yet because I usually come here on my work lunch breaks. It's nice to see both of us grow up together Joe's. A real nice turn for the better.

Not what I expected! Looks like a bar from the outside. haha!! Service was 5 star! Super friendly, they made it feel like you were at someones home. Food was served hot just the way I like it. I ordered the Mozzerella and Pesto Panini with Pasta Salad. Very flavorful and really good prices! An employee walked by with a bowl of Clam Chowder and I had to try it. Glad I did!! It was thick and had BACON pieces!! Yummmmm!!! We ordered 4 classes of the Apple Ale (can't remember the exact name) it was so good and gave us a great buzz... I only wish they had a better dessert selection.

Really neat little restaurant and bar in Niles. Pretty friendly staff once you get to the counter. You have to order food at the counter, there is no table service. That being said, we took the menus to a table to sit down and peruse them. No one told us we had to order at the counter, we asked after a bit and to be fair, there was a big big sign which we either missed or ignored. But they were friendly about it. My friend and I split a meatball sandwich and the Italian BLT. Very very delicious meatballs, would have preferred a crustier bread, the bread was kind of squishy. But very delicious meatballs. The owner/mgr told us we could have ordered a non bread option when she saw we didn't eat our bread. Loved the BLT insides, and the oregano mayo was superb. (This made it an Italian BLT) and it was very yummy! But the bread was pasty and I've never ever had an un-toasted BLT before. When I mentioned it to the owner/mgr? She said I could request it to be toasted next time. Since BLT's are normally toasted, my unsolicited advice would be to mention the choice to customers each time they order. I feel like this place could be really fantastic with a few tweaks to appeal to customers who've never been there before. Currently they are really catering to customers who've been there and know their menu. We will definitely be back because of the great quality of food, nice service, happy decor and good location. I'd also mention it has a nice vibe and it feels nice to be there. Some of you will know what I mean! Support your local businesses and try this one out.

Come only if you want a good beer. They have a good beer selection that rotates pretty regularly. Is this place a bar or a deli? It can't be a bar they close at 7, but it's not a deli because what deli has 15 beers on tap? They need to decide what type of place they want to be. If your going to be a restaurant get real cooking equipment not home ovens crock pots and microwaves. Not a hidden gem. Let's just start with ordering... You walk up to the counter to order you food and drinks. Then you go and sit down without your drink and you have to wait on them to bring you your drink. Sometimes it takes awhile to just get a drink. The sandwiches are pretty good except the meatball sub. It's frozen meatballs and canned marinara sauce. The sides are ok just extremely small. They should either charge you more for a bigger portion or sell them as a side option. Most of the time we wait around to get any refills.

Very tasty Italian sandwiches. Lots of craft beer on tap too. Nice place to go for a weekend snack with the family. Nice amiance, family run business. My favorite sandwich is the Muffaletta.

We did a quick search on Yelp to find somewhere to eat for a quick bite. We are not from CA. We decided on Joe's Corner and we are glad we did! It was a such a friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious! They also have a great staff and awesome beer selection! We stumbled upon a car show, so after lunch we did a quick stroll through the quaint city. I was very impressed with the "small town" feel. As we are both from a small town in the midwest. We will be back!

First time visiting this deli though it's only a few minutes from where I work. The place is nice and airy and the staff was friendly. They have a nice variety of Italian sandwiches. The downside was the length of time it took to make my sandwich. For a while I had thought that perhaps they had forgotten about me. Also, I had ordered a drink with the meal which should have been given to me when I first sat down. It didn't come with the sandwich and I had to remind them. Server walks by occasionally but has yet to ask if there is anything I need. I'll come back and give it another go. Hopefully I'll have a better experience.

I had been meaning to try this place so when a friend wanted to go out for coffee and breakfast last Saturday I suggested we try Joe's Corner. What a terrific asset to downtown Niles! We both sat at the coffee bar in front as it was a glorious sunny morning. Plenty of regulars happily introduce themselves. The owners Melissa & Bob could not be nicer. Melissa is the chef. She made us each a delicious breakfast sandwich. Coffee was super delicious. Our server, Cindy, was friendly and you can tell she is happy to work at such a welcoming place. We will be back to sample lunch and dinner.

Nice historic atmosphere and ok food. We were disappointed that the sandwich menu wasn't available until after 11:30am. Not a big deal but an unpleasant surprise, because we went there for the italian deli sandwiches. Breakfast fare was fine, nothing special, but tasty.

Tasty beer. Tasty cannoli. Friendly people. Joe's is continually upping their game, and I'm excited to see where that leads. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what Joe's really wants to be. Sometimes I think that makes it difficult for a new customer to figure out what to do with it. That said, the recently expanded hours are great. They used to be closed before I ever got home from work. I really appreciate the staff. Melissa and co. are great. Has a neighborhood feel (for me it's a quick walk). Mostly I come here for the beer or to grab a quick cup of coffee in the morning if I run out of beans at home. The beer selection is solid and certainly the best in Niles. They also have some great desserts (try the cannoli!). If you're looking for a delicious pint or authentic cannoli in Niles then this is the place!

We recently came by on Sunday morning as it looked like a nice cafe. We were looking forward to trying a latte and some pastries. We went inside to sit at the bar area. Unfortunately, we sat around waiting for service. One of two ladies said they have other orders ahead of us and she promptly went outside to the espresso machine and didn't bother taking our order. The other lady behind the bar never said a word to us or try to make us feel welcome or try to take our order for anything else. After waiting 10 mins we just left. I'm giving 2 stars because it looks like a nice place and the reviews say the food is good but I don't know if I would ever come back knowing their lack of customer service.

Nice little cafe type of restaurant in Niles with inside or outside seating. This place offers breakfast and lunch as well as coffee. I had the chicken pesto with pasta salad. It was great. I personally enjoy homely style, locally owned restaurants like this one.

Probably the worst breakfast I have ever had. Ordered off their minimal (5 item) menu. Everything is $5.95. Horrible French Toast. Completely dry. If they put it in egg mixture, it was for 5 seconds, it didn't soak through even a bit. No flavor at all. Came with bacon, I think it was that fake Sizzlean stuff. Ultra thin, again no flavor, and basically shattered when you bit into it. My husband ordered eggs and ham. Came with "complimentary fruit" - it was an orange slice. The eggs were cold, the ham was thin sliced fried deli ham. Nasty. Needless to say, we will NEVER be back.

I'm not sure why this place has such high ratings. Their sandwiches are very mediocre. Most, if not all, of their bread is just store bought. I ordered the veggie sandwich was not impressed. This place is just ok.

I've visited a few times both for lunch and just to grab a drink. The first three times were pleasant enough. I had stopped in on a Saturday evening Niles Cruise Night with friends, had one beer each, was treated excellently by the owner and staff. I was offered a sample of a beer that I was skeptical about before I committed to a full pint. Always a way to win me over, especially since I ended up not like the sample! I returned the very next day with two different friends on our bicycles (that were parked outside). We stood near the register, menus in hand, ready to order for about 7 minutes while being completely ignored by both servers and the cook in the kitchen! We all tried to make eye contact, said hello, and nothing. I had spoken with both servers the previous evening, and didn't expect to be greeted like an old friend, but wasn't expecting not to be acknowledged, either! The owner didn't appear to be in at the time. Plus, there were only about 4 other customers there at the time. Whether or not the food and drinks are good doesn't matter to me if either the service is poor or non-existent. The three of us left and headed to Bronco Billy's where I've never been ignored, regardless of how busy they get, and were treated to great pizza and beer.

Great little lunch spot in Niles for fresh made sandwiches! Nice relaxed atmosphere too, and a good location right on the main street in Niles. Only suggestion I would make would be to pay extra attention when ordering sandwiches for kids - we stopped in here this past weekend and my 7-year old niece ordered a ham sandwich. They made it with spicy ham, which of course freaked her out when her tongue started burning (understandable - that's never happened to her with a normal ham sandwich before!), and the guys making the sandwiches didn't think this would be a problem, or think to ask if she was ok with spicy food. So, for anyone with food sensitivities or small children who don't like certain things, be sure to pay extra attention to what exactly goes on their sandwiches.

I have been here a half dozen times now and thought the food and service was great each time. I was always ordering the Muffaleta sandwich however the last couple of visits I had the sandwich of the day... once a meatball and then an italian sausage. Both tasty and on good bread. The portions are not huge which I like... not a big fan of large portions. Rather have a reasonable size portion of good food than alot of bad. Muffalette A++ Good beer A++ Service A++ Friendliness A++++ They have pictures up on the wall now which give local interest. I would suggest WiFi as the only improvement :)

I've wanted to try Joe's since I moved to Fremont almost two months ago... Shit! It just hit me how long I've already been in NorCal. Man, time flies. Anyway, back to the review. The Kingdom of Yelp has been kind to Joe's Corner. Giving them 4.5 stars and talking very highly of their food and service. So for me, I had to make an effort to check this place out at some point. Funny thing is that my first visit was by chance. My buddy Chuck and I wanted to grab some grub at Tacos Negris but they were closing up and since Joe's is across the street, I suggested eating here. - Italian Sub Sandwich: Standard, nothing special. Tastes like most Italian sandwiches but it wasn't bad. They're generous with their meats which I something I appreciate. - Potato Salad: Pretty bomb. I love potato salads so this was a real treat. They use Yukon Potatoes which is always the best way to go. Their seasoning is on point and the creaminess is just right. Only bummer is that they give you a small scoop with your sandwich - I wanted more! - Grilled Proscuitto w/ Salame and Mozzarella: Chuck got this but opted to get it with pepper jack instead of mozzarella. Bad move on his part because it made it way too salty. I think the mozz would have tamed it down a bit. The bread had a great grill on it - crunchy. The best part about this place is the service. The lady at the bar (that's where we sat) was SO awesome. Just your typical Fremont local - nice, genuine and friendly. She gave us some recommendations after we told her what we like and made sure were treated well. Honestly, I'd go back just to chat with her again. Such a cool lady. She did a great job making us feel welcome and comfortable. Like I always say, you can't beat great service! But overall, this place is just "A-OK". Not bad, not great. But I'd totally recommend you checking it out at least once. Plus, it's on Niles which is a really cool part of Fremont. It's this mile long street filled with antique shops in old fashion brick buildings.

Cute & clean place in Niles that offers great food & very friendly service. I always get their Tuscano Panini (salami, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes) coz it's super delicious. It comes with a side of yummy potato salad. My hubby who isn't really into potato salad ate all of his. Tried their cannoli for the first time today & it was a great way to end our meal. I tasted a bit of orange zest in the cannoli cream. I shared it with the hubby & that sure was a big mistake. Definitely coming back for more!

We stumbled on what we feel is a new destination for lunch in Niles. The Italian hogue and pasta fagioli Sicilian soup were so fresh and satisfying. Can't wait to return. Finally something more than antiques in Nikes, thank you!

I used to really love this place. I'm a local and feel like it's lost it's touch. The food servings are getting skimpy and the service is slow. I don't feel like I get my money's worth anymore ... It's just ehhh. Who wants ehh when u can make ehhh at home?!

A quaint little neighborhood cafe with a unique small-town vibe. Joe's Corner is located in the nostalgic Niles District and lives up to the unique style of the area. Immediately, upon walking into Joe's you feel like a neighbor coming over for coffee. The staff are all really friendly and seem to have a special rapport with most of their clientele. The two knocks on this place is the really small breakfast menu and limited seating. While breakfast really isn't the most complicated meal of the day, it would be nice to see some additional entries. While there is quite a lot of open floor and only a half dozen tables for seating. If it gets a rush of ten guests, they would be overloaded! However, the food they do make was quite good. I ordered some pancakes and eggs and was really happy with the result. I even tried one of their (somewhat expensive) mimosas which was really good and quite refreshing. This is a great place to eat if your visiting the Niles district or if you want an enjoyable breakfast or lunch.

Great well priced sandwiches and lovely service! After leaving the pizza place down the street because of terrible service, we were lucky to find Joe's. My husband had the spicy Italian sandwich with Sicilian pasta salad. I had the grilled cheese with pesto tomato and onion with a macaroni side salad. Both were delicious!

What a delightful cafe! I love the low key NIles area and Joe's Corner is a great add. It looks like used to be a bar and has been converted into this cafe and they have kept the bar section which is a nice touch. They serve sandwiches, pastries, beer, wine and coffee of course. I tried the hot chocolate and prosciutto plate that came with bread and their house dipping sauce and it was yummy! Service was great. The owners stopped by to say hello. Their extended family was there visiting as well and they all were super nice and friendly. They are approaching their first anniversary and I wish them an advance Happy Anniversary and many many more to come!!

  • John R.

What is Joe's Corner? It's not a bar... it's not a restaurant, it's not necessarily a 'cafe', it's not grill, , it's not a pizza place, and it's not hamburger joint. It's NOT so many things! And yet it IS so many things, and all good! I disagree with some of the comments about Joe's... saying they need to identify with one thing and stay with that. To me, part of its charm is the fact that they do not identify as any one thing. For me to sum it up best, it's kind of like you're stopping by a friend's place to grab some food and a drink, and to visit. The atmosphere is pleasant, fun, and the people behind the counter are always nice to talk to. Environment - At any given moment the environment can change. One moment it's a quiet, quaint old town sort of like Mayberry. You'd swear Andy Griffith and Barney will be walking in any minute. The next, you may have a thundering group of bikers making their way to the Florence... quite a cool spectacle. The next moment you may see a steam locomotive passing by as it's steam is shot in to the sky accompanied by a musical toot of its horn. Many of the locals own some old 30's vehicles. They park them in front of the stores (including Joe's) for people to admire. There's a big screen TV that airs games and movies for those who just can't get enough screen in their lives. It's easy to see that Bob and Melissa take pride in Joe's. Comfort is important to them, both in the physical sense, and in their attitudes towards their customers. There are also activities on some nights, such as vinyl night. Though I've not been, my understanding is they play records, and I think you're able to bring your own. They have live music, sometimes inside, and sometimes outside. The Food - I wish I could comment on all the different dishes they have. But I can't because I'm hooked on a select few! I get the Turkey Panini every time I go there because it is THAT good. I used to get the Italian Sub, but that was before I tried the panini. My 8 year old says the grilled cheese on sourdough is the best he's had. My 12 year old devours the turkey and bacon sandwich. My wife also loves the panini, and the potato salad. I will have to try the other dishes. Last week, I went in there for coffee. Melissa (owner extraordinaire) suggested I try a BLT. I was on my way to the airport via 2 buses and a light rail. I carried it with me until I got to the airport gate. Had I known it was that good I would've tore into it on my first bus. I couldn't get it down fast enough. It was the best BLT I've had. Beer - The beer selection is very good, again for what Joe's is, and what it's not! You can't go their and expect a massive selection, it's not a beerhaus and the physical size of Joe's prohibits this kind of thing! However, you can tell that Melissa and Bob have carefully selected the beers to try and please a very wide range of people. They're WELL beyond the boring standards of Bud and Bud Light. As a matter of fact, I'm not even sure they carry the standards. Coffee - Almost forgot to mention the coffee. They make a very good non-fat latte to go with their muffins. Over all, if you find yourself rating this place negatively, it's more likely that you probably made up your mind before you even got their. You hear so many people griping, these days, about how custmer service is a thing of the past and is so difficult to find. That's not the case at Joe's. It's more than obvious they put care into running the place. If you have an issue, I believe the staff will do what's needed to resolve it for you. In closing, Joe's has set the bar high in so many respects. Ever hear the saying, "Jack of all trades, master of none"? Well, Joe's has managed to put a kink in that saying. They have mastered many of their trades and they continute their quest to make what's already good, even better. There's a grill opening soon close by, there's a full on restaurant just down the street, there's a breakfast place opening up down the street, there's a coffee stop just down the street, and there's a full on bar, as well as a pizza place (best pizza on the planet by the way!!). If you want pizza, go there... If you want a mixed livation, go to the bar... if you want steak, go the restaurant. But if you want great food, great service, great environment, great beer, and just a great all around experience Joe's is a no brainer and should be your destination.

Food was good. We had breakfast sandwich and waffles. Coffee was good too. It was a Friday evening and there were only a few people but we had to wait a lot. We would go back if we are in the neighborhood. The photos and decor was nice too.

This place is cute. I went here with a group of friends and we were a little confused by the set up of the place. HINT: Walk through the two doors! We stood there for at least 5 minutes before figuring that out and no one approached us. When we got there, the place as a little bit empty, though quickly filled up as time went on. The service was great. After getting our sandwiches, we were trying to figure out whether we actually got the right ones and I mentioned that you had to specify your sandwich. Turns out my friend was given a different sandwich than she thought she ordered. I the owner overheard our conversation and immediately tried to fix the problem before my friend took a bite of her sandwich. I LOVE that kind of service. The restaurant operators also came back to ask how things were going, even though it was more of an order at the counter-type of place. This was the perfect place to catch up with a couple of friends and is a great option if you don't want to wait in any ginormous lines.

The boy&I came in for a mid-afternoon sandwich and we weren't disappointed. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly&hospitable. The boy&I ended up getting a bowl of clam chowder [SUUUUUPER bomb!!] and a prosciutto sandwich with everything on it [+ a scoop of potato salad and tortellini salad]. Everything was delicious [although I wasn't a huge fan of the tortellini salad... it was a bit too tart for me], but my favorite was probably the clam chowder. Soooo good. I only wish they had avocados to put in the sandwiches :( Oh well. Menu isn't terribly big, but it's good! I'd come back for sure.

Stopped in on Sunday morning for a quick bite before church. The waitress at the front bar area was very happy and friendly. She was able to rush my order, which was nice. The breakfast sandwich was really good, and I was surprised by the tasty sun dried tomatoes, and basil spread. It was a classy bacon sandwich.

I've lived in Niles since I was four and I've never been here. My dad brought me here to try it out. Anyways, I was shocked to see how nice and clean the place was. Wasn't sure what to expect. The food is good if you are into the panini/sandwich kind of meals. They have a variety of other foods that I haven't explores yet. I think it is worth a visit to!

Great sandwiches!!! Fresh & delicious... Italian Sub w/ 3 different Italian deli meat ( not the kind from your local market ) and a tapenade of marinated veggies makes it a stand out... Owners Melissa & Bob are extremely friendly & know their stuff... The place is just the perfect addition to Niles!!! PS... Coffee is the best... Just a great cup of "Joe" !!!

Came to Joe's for breakfast with my friend on a Friday morning. We were caught off guard because there was no physical menu anywhere but the ladies behind the bar were so kind to help us choose what to order. We both ended up getting a breakfast sandwich and a mocha. The breakfast sandwich definitely hit the spot! We asked what the lady put in it and she mentioned her secret ingredient was just a little bit of oregano. The mocha tasted perfect, like it was actually made with real chocolate! So yummy, on my list of favorite mochas! Would love to come back here!

We still love Joe's and head up here at least a couple times a month. Such great service and the coffee drinks and sandwich menu are great. We are definitely pulling for Joe's!! A couple cons we had hoped they would have fixed by now: 1. We do wish they would warm up the interior decor a bit. Either go Coffee House funky or old style bar plush, but it is so open, bare and cold. Unless you sit at the bar the ambiance is pretty blah. 2. They need to add one or two hot breakfast items like a breakfast sandwich or a simple warm slice of bacon feta quiche. 3.We'd recommend they get rid of the muffins and random pastries and keep to the sticky buns and add fresh bagels. Obviously they want to make more of a mark as a lunch spot which makes total sense, but if you are going to offer awesome lattes, you need to have 2-4 solid, regular breakfast items. We strongly suggest a couple (2 cooked, 2 baked) signature breakfast items that people want to buy along with their coffee. Otherwise, no complaints. We love this neighborhood joint and highly recommend it for a morning coffee, a fabulous mid-day sammie, or a pre-dinner pint!

We love this place! This is our "go to" lunch spot (we have been known to have dinner here too). There is not a sandwich on the menu that we don't like but I am partial to the turkey/pesto and the salami panini. The soup is always good and the side of sicilian pasta is amazing. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very Niles. The service is a bit slow but that is because the panini takes time to cook and they only have so many staff to work this "mom-pop" place. Having been brought up by a self-made business man, I understand the limitations that they have over the big chains. I accept that it is all part of the "turn back time" atmosphere in Niles when everyone was not in such a huge hurry to get to the next place!

I pass by this place often and today was my first time there. There is a very welcoming feel to this place. There are two bars, one in the entrance and one in the main hallway. At the very end of the restaurant is a huge flat screen TV. The place is kept VERY clean and inviting. The only downside is that seating can get quite awkward if you have groups larger than four. They have deli-style sandwiches, paninis, and a variety of appetizers and desserts. I ordered the turkey pesto panini. They had put too much pesto on the panini making it somewhat soggy, and overpowering the panini. Their italian sub was fine. The trophy goes to their meatballs however. They give you 8 pieces for $6 which was okay in my book. The staff is friendly and makes you feel right at home. I will definitely be back again. If you and a couple of your buddies need a place to go for some brewskies and to watch some sports, then give this place a go!

Recently went with a somewhat large group of people for a light lunch. A little sparse on seating inside, but we were able to join 2 tables together for all of us to be together. Servers were welcoming, the food was very good (I especially loved the tortellini salad that came with my sandwich and I drooled over my brother in law's muffaletta). I would come back to try the muffaletta and to have some more of the tortellini!

Surprisingly good sandwiches here, especially the prociutto panino. They also have some good beers on tap.

I was shopping at the business next door to Joe's corner and my daughter had to use the bathroom when I walked in they let her use the bathroom without requiring us to purchase something so I decided when I was done shopping I will go over there and have lunch with my daughter. I like the sitting Area outside a bar area where people can sit on the outside and in the doorway area they have another little bar sitting area kind of patio ish. I ordered a roast beef and cheddar sandwich on wheat bread my husband came with us and ordered a turkey and Swiss on ciabatta bread my daughter had a BLT and my other daughter had clam chowder. they offered a small pasta on the side with the sandwich. the pasta was fine I'm not a big fan of pasta my other family members thought it tasted good. amazingly so the sandwiches were outstanding I have not had such a delicious sandwich in a long time better than subway better than Quiznos. I would definitely go back there and I recommend everyone to try it.

I've lived in Fremont since 1971 Joes was a dive bar for years. Now it is going to be one of my go to spots for a excellent quality fairly priced meal. Excellent food! My wife is an extremely good cook and she was quite pleased with Joes. I had the rosemary ham sandwich with Italian pasta salad excellent! Salami and prosciutto for my finicky eater wife gets 2 thumbs up!

I have found the service at Joes to be outstanding! The staff and owners are very helpful and knowledgeable, just ask for some help picking a sandwich and you will feel like you are in a fine wine tasting room getting the sommelier's best speal! And every bite i have had has been excellent, from the appetizers to the soup to the Sandwiches.. They are quick to offer a taste of their fine beer selection as well if you don't know what you want.

I just got home with their sandwich to go. I was expecting it to be just another edible sandwich... I assumed wrong. The ciabatta bread is baked fresh and the sandwich is OMG good! Now I know where to frequent to when I'm in the mood for some good sandwich. Next up, their coffee. I love Mochas and we'll see how they do in that department.

Three solid stars, verging on four. Ambiance is a little blah, it seems unfinished. Could use a little personality. Upside - it IS neat and clean. I love that in a restaurant. It seems like they're still figuring things out. Counter service a little disconnected. The younger dark haired woman with the dark rimmed glasses was really slow and didn't make us feel welcome at all. Perhaps it was just a bad day? We ordered the mufalatta (sp?). There were some things I loved about this sandwich. The ingredients are fresh and high quality, overall flavor very good but I think I'll try it without the peppers next time. It was a little strong on the vineager. Best mortadella I've had in a long, long time though. The tortellina pasta salad had too much dill. I like dill but you have to go easy, otherwise it becomes over-powering - as this was. Pasta was nicely cooked and tasty though. I WILL be back to try other things. This place is worth your time and money. I love having another place to enjoy a meal in Niles.

A good new place in Niles. I didn't get, there in time for breakfast coffee, but the beer selection is excellent! My parents have gone and said the sandwiches are the feature of the place. I hope this place works out and Niles can have a morning coffee shop not staffed by depressed teenagers (Starbucks).

Just recently had Joe's Corner in Niles with a few friends and I was WONDERFULLY pleased loved it! The owner was very sweet and knew her sh*t ! Had a Muffa-something sandwich and the tomato basil soup. Its was to die for! I felt myself slurping the empty bowl. I recommend any one to stop by the small Deli you'll love it!

I had the Mozzarella and Pesto sandwich, Loved it! The service was excellent as well. It's nice to walk into a restaurant and see everyone behind the counter happy to be there. Will definitely be back

My husband and I went for the first time yesterday. We stopped in to have a beer and ended up staying over an hour and a second round. The employees there were all super friendly, and we had an excellent time. We will for sure be back to try the food there!

I think that its great that the new owners have taken the time to re-do the place... I have heard a bunch about this place but since I have lived in Niles the place has been shut down... Good to see hard working people trying to bring back some of the ambiance of what we all love in Niles! Keep it up! And your neon sign look awesome!

We stopped here for a quick dinner to take home on Saturday night. We didn't even realize it was closing time, but the owners Bob and Melissa were very warm and welcoming. Melissa made us fresh sandwiches to order (an Italian with several different meats, a wonderful special-of-the-day Mozzarella and Pesto Panini, and a cheese sandwich for my son). He said it was the best he had ever tasted! While we waited for our order, Melissa gave us samples of various meats to try, the gardinera vegetables, and even chips. Bob brought us out two cups of soup to try, I think it was the Italian Wedding variety. It was very good. When we got home, we discovered that the sandwiches were fresh and flavorful, so delicious. The potato salad also was fantastic. We will definitely be back. We welcome this new addition to Niles and look forward to the expanding menu. Melissa said that she will be expanding the menu slowly, to give her time to master each new menu item she introduces instead of trying to introduce them all at once and not being very successful at it. She intends to have a few hot entrees in the evening. They also have a tap wall with 12 kinds of beer on tap. I'm sure that will be a big hit! They were cash only last week, but Melissa said she plans to start taking credit cards as of the last week in September 2012. For those who will appreciate it, they have a large TV hanging on the back wall.

I would have never thought that we would find such a great sandwich, cafe, deli spot like this! I wish there was a place like this closer to downtown San Jose. The grilled prosciutto and salami sandwich was crisp, fresh and simply delicious. We ordered a latte and mocha and they were equally delicious. To boot, the staff was very friendly, helpful an super nice. We'll definitely be back :)

Visited Joe's Corner on a Sunday with friends and had a nice time. I did not eat there, we were originally going to sit outside at their bar top, but it was a little cold so we moved inside. The inside is nice and quiet. They have good beers on tap and the service was good. The people were very nice and accommodating when it came to us putting are phone on their speaker to play music and charging are phones etc, I really enjoyed my time there and would return, but it is very quiet and I am sure if there were other customers in their they wouldn't be too happy about how loud my group was. Overall, it was nice and the food I saw people order looked yummy.

I really like this place. I've been here a couple of times and the food is consistently good. So is the service. The girls seem really sweet. They have coffee, sandwiches, and beer. I love the potato salad and Italian sandwich. The husband always get the vegetarian sandwich. It's really good actually, which is kind of u usual for vegetarian sandwiches. I feel like the back corner is crying out for a play area. This place reminds me of one where I used to live that had one. What does a mom need more than coffee/beer and a place for the kids to run around? :). In summary, nice place, we'll be back.

Yum yummy sandwiches. We eat here when we're in town to do some antique picking and it's been reliable each time. It's a neat and clean place, if not a touch bland. Table spacing is VERY generous and the times we've been there the service has been good. It's a smidgen pricy, for two people who are not having very large meals it tops out at almost $20. I've not had any of their beers but near as I can tell visually they have a goodly variety.

Great to have a sit down deli place in town! Had the turkey sandwich on a baguette which was really good! Not on the mood for a beer this time around but they have some good independent beers on tap. Will definitely come back!

I went to Joe's Corner and tried the pour over coffee. It was great! The menu looks good too. The waitress up front was so nice! I plan to go back and try the fresh baked bread and sandwiches offered there. What a treat.

My friend from Dublin, Ireland and I were seeking trains, not food. We had a very pleasant surprise at Joe's Corner when hunger pangs hit. The soup was absolutely delicious. The turkey panini price/value was excellent. We topped it off with coffee and a cappuccino. The help was informative and efficient. Finally... clean, clean, clean!. A Niles gem, for sure.

Joe's Corner catered a big event (aprx. 80 people) we had next door at the Macau Cultural Center. Melissa was so helpful and made our event run very smoothly. They not only catered sandwiches but also added a green salad, potato salad, macaroni and tortellini salad. Everything was delicious I would highly recomend them.

Came with a group of hikers. Sandwiches reasonably priced and comes with a small salad of either potato, macaroni or tortellini. Had the turkey and provolone on ciabatta with the tortellini & a cup of coffee. Perfect. Very pleased with the service. They kept coming by and checking on us. Everyone in our group also felt the same as I did. This is a great deli, great service..overall..GREAT!

I tried Joe's for lunch the other day...had a turkey sandwich....fresh...fresh...fresh and very good...this is nice addition to Niles for a place to have a beer or a bite to eat. I think the owner said their expresso machine should be up and running soon.
