Dragon's Palace delivers exactly on target, on time, and deliciously. I've had take-out Chinese in Portland, LA, San Diego, all over the place and it's the same anywhere you go. This was no different and no less tasty for being exactly what I ordered. You, I, and everyone else who's rational will get take-out Chinese cravings from time to time, and nothing else will do. This is where Dragon's Palace shines. Could the lo mein have more vegetables? Yeah. Could the hot and sour soup be spicier? Sure. And you know what, the lo mein was a little greasy, but in a delicious way, in an expected way and even an anticipated way, because -- do you see where I'm going with this? -- it's take-out Chinese and that's what we ordered, damn it. My order was placed online because I avoid human contact for ordering food whenever possible, preferring the cold, infallible accuracy of a web-computer interface. They have a delivery fee, but not high enough to interfere with my take-out Chinese mission. The food itself-- Hot & Sour Soup: Wow, full of flavor and vegetables. Really good thing to start off with, a little spicy kick. Chicken Lo Mein: Good chicken, light on the vegetables but that's not why we ordered this. Love the pan-fried flavor. This was the original reason I placed my order. Save half for tomorrow, and move on to... Mu Shu Pork: Great balance of meat to vegetables, flavor is good, plum sauce is great, pancakes as expected. And there's plenty of this left over for lunch too! Delicious finisher. If anyone rated this restaurant below a three-star, it's for one of three reasons: 1)because they have never experienced a take-out Chinese delivery order, 2) they used the inferior (flawed) human interface method of placing their order, or 3) they have expectations so incredibly mismatched with reality that it would be an exercise in futility to attempt to satisfy them. There's nothing wrong with the food here, it's exactly what I think of when I think "Chinese take-out". Thanks for the amazing lunch at work during overtime, A++ would stuff my face again. And remember: it's impossible for a computer to randomly forget or misremember part of your order. Give the online delivery a try. Side-note: if you want the add-ons you get when you spend over a certain amount, you need to ask for them explicitly, they won't just magic their way into your take-out order. A little tedious, yes, but if you really wanted those crab puffs, you would make damn sure those crab puffs made it into your order, am I right?

I just decided to order the lunch combination which was sweet and sour chicken also an order of the Mongolian beef lunch combination both very decent and wanted delivery was very fast within 30 minutes my food is here hot nothing spilled in the bag delivery driver was very friendly they always have coupons available I would recommend this restaurant to anybody living on the east side food is very fresh. I like that when they deliver your food they always bring you a new updated menu with fresh coupons looking over the menu they have a very good dinner combination also if you would like to order for dinner and have it delivered they also have family entrees or if you decide to go in and eat which I have not tried yet I like to have it delivered on a whim. Looking at the coupons that come with your order they offer free order of egg rolls with any purchase of $15 or more which is a great deal free order of crab puffs or free order of chicken in foil they also offer two desserts chocolate banana roll or chocolate cake sounds very tasty. Appetizers are also listed large combination platter which includes egg rolls to barbecue ribs crab puffs fried shrimp fried wontons and chicken in foil appetizer 2 is a small combination platter which includes egg rolls ribs crab puffs and fried shrimp appetizers 3 is a Pu Pu platter includes egg roll barbecue ribs fried shrimp beef on the skewer and chicken in foil all are very delicious and I have had them all.

Just had the house lo mein dinner combo. It is the best lo mein I've tasted in this part of town. I have tried the others trust me. The service is prompt and courteous. This is not fine dining mind you but it sure gets the job done right!

Sometimes, you don't want to deal with actual human beings. Or at least as little as possible. Sweatpants are required. I'm not putting shoes on until you call me because you have my food and it is 50 feet away in a bag and none of my neighbors will see me outside in this preposterous sweater/sweatpant combo in 100 degrees if I can help it. I get that. Online ordering for the periodic agorophobes! Delivery was on time to their estimate - hour expected, little under an hour got. If that doesn't happen, it kills my view of a delivery option. Let's be honest: if you tell me an hour and it's an hour and a half, my stomach and I both hate you and curse your family and my food is probably cold. The packaging was pretty darn bad: a big brown paper bag with everything inside, some of which was wrapped in layers and layers of Saran wrap and leaking inside the wrap and some without the wrapping that was leaking anyway. No chopsticks or plastic flatware, but four fortune cookies. (With really, really bad fortunes. You may not care but I was sad.) I made the mistake of opening up the bag without assessing the situation; laundry will need to be done. The sesame chicken was just sad. Not a vegetable to be seen, even chopped in the sauce. The chicken was heavily breaded for Chinese, almost fried chicken looking and texture for strips. There was a smattering of sesame seeds and a watery sauce that might have contained more than corn starch, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes but didn't look like it. Veggie mushu had dry, crackly pancakes. The woe of mushu. The veggie, egg, and mushroom mix was nicely varied and not too mushy of mushu (I had to) in texture. It saved this from a 1-star.

Me and my fiancé got delivery tonight and I was not disappointed. I ordered cashew chicken with a chicken wing and egg roll, along with a side of hot and sour soup. This is the biggest surprise. Usually I don't ever eat soups from Chinese or Japanese restaurants because the soup is always bitter and gross. This was the first time i ate the entire serving! Very good, very fresh! The cashew chicken was perfect. It was subtle and the celery was crunchy and the cashews were flavorful. The steamed rice was good too. My fiancé got the Mongolian beef. It was a but spicy but in a good way. I will order from here again. The chicken wing was very crispy but that's the only thing that really lacked flavor. Might be better with some salt in the batter but not a big deal. I love that they deliver to my area too! Everything was hot and the sweet and sour sauce they gave us with the crab puffs was actually very unique. It tasted like it had some ginger in it, not the usual overly sugar red sauce. I'm very happy with my dinner tonight!

I love everything about this place. The little lady who seated us was so scatterbrained that she stole my heart. As hits from the Eighties play in the background, you can't help but "Open Your Heart" to this place. (Thanks, Madonna) Our server set out plates for us that conjured up memories of little girl tea parties with cartoon character dishes. (See pics). She kept saying "here you go, darling". I loved it. The dumplings were amazing. Perfectly cooked and deliciously spicy. I had the Spicy Chicken w Garlic Sauce and my companion had the Twice Cooked Pork. The entrees were plentiful and I'm looking forward to having the leftovers later. Highly recommend this place.

We called for delivery. They were very friendly and after I gave them my cross streets said they would deliver to my house. We placed our order and they said it would take an hour which was a long wait but okay, gave them our payment information and got off the phone. 30 minutes passed and the guy called us back and said that they won't deliver to our house and that they will cancel the order. I was very confused and explained to them that they originally said we were in their delivery radius. He said it would take an hour to get to our home. I told him that's impossible and he must have the address wrong. He rechecked and said it was still around 15-20 minutes and because they only have one delivery person they are canceling the order and hung up on me. I want to mention that it's only 10 minutes away from our house!!!! It was terrible customer service. If he wouldn't of hung up I would've driven there to pick it up! I am very disappointed and I never even had a chance to try the food. Which I could give negative stars....

This place is Ahhhhmazing. My boyfriend and I always get the dinner combination plate, whenever we order from here..my boyfriend loves their Mongolian beef, it is pretty awesome. Their egg drop soup that comes with it is really good, their egg rolls are good, and I love their crab puffs. We always order delivery and it does get here within 1 hour which is their promise on their website online ordering is super easy and very convenient. I highly recommend this place!

The worst! We ordered delivery online, which indicated you could pay be either cash or credit card when your food is delivered. Wrong. Our food was delivered and the driver had to call the restaurant to have them run the card, which seemed to be a hassle to the driver. But the card was run and we did not get a receipt. Then I was handed a greasy bag. So I take it inside and open it up to find one container on its side, another container open, and everything covered in a greasy sauce. Which led me to discover that they got the order wrong and did not provide us with chopsticks add requested. So I called the restaurant to address the situation. What a disappointment! I got excuse after excuse! I told the guy I preferred not to deal with this mess and requested a refund. I was then asked to bring the food back to them. (I ordered delivery for a reason). After going back and forth, he finally agreed to have the delivery driver come back, when they can, to pick up the food. So I asked they provide a receipt showing the charge, along with a receipt showing the refund. The driver finally shows up and when I asked for the receipts, he tells me that the one with the refund flew out his window. When I asked how this was going to be resolved, he said he could go back and get one. I told him I would hold on to the food until his return. I then called the restaurant to inform them of the situation. They didn't seem too concerned. A few minutes later I get a call from the manager telling me that they could not reprint the receipts and to enjoy the "delicious" food. Um, hello! The order wasn't right! So I'm hoping to see the refund in my account in the next couple of days. But, my bank has been informed, just in case.

I really debated whether to give this place 3 stars or 4. Ultimately, I settled on 4 because there are more things I like about this place than not, and I really only had one complaint, albeit the ONE thing you dont want to be complaining about with a restaurant. The ambiance coming in is kinda nice in that stereotypical chinese restaurant kinda way. The seating area is not huge but can accommodate probably up to 30 people at a time in the main room, and there is a side room that was unlit and unused while I was there...didn't get a very good look at that. A large portion of the main room's floor space was dedicated to a lunch buffet line. I went for dinner, so this was not an option, but I did go take a look at the labels from the buffet and was really quite impressed. I think that might be the best way to enjoy this restaurant because the options were extensive and kinda covered all the bases and then some. I was the only person eating in for a majority of my time there. I get the feeling this place mostly gets its business from delivery orders. The service was top notch and the people who worked there were extremely friendly and kind. I ordered hot and sour soup to start and hot garlic chicken for my meal. The HSS came out promptly and I was immediately struck by the size of it. I thought these things were kinda standardized in chinese restaurants these days...this must have been about double the size of a normal cup of soup from any other chinese restaurant. The soup was in desperate need of soy sauce...it seemingly had absolutely none in it when it came out. A very amateur mistake in my book, but easy to remedy. After correcting the problem, I would say it was fair. Not the best, not the worst. Also, a note: this version appeared to be vegetarian. My server asked if I wanted crispy noodles for my soup, to which I said "Hell, yeah!" and I greatly appreciated that. I like it when chinese places offer those little fried wonton noodles free of charge. The hot garlic chicken comes out and again, its huge! Lots of all white meat chicken, which is a nice bonus. It was accompanied by a HUGE bowl of white rice, too! The sauce was good and flavorful, but there was also a LOT of veggies in this dish. Im not opposed to that, though, my choice of veggies may have been different. It seemed that there was too much celery in the dish, and it wasnt quite cooked long enough to mellow out that overwhelming celery flavor. I wound up taking a lot home because this meal was easily large enough for two people. So my only complaint is that the food was really just kinda mediocre. It tasted like it was relatively cheaply made (with the exception of the bounty of white meat chicken). But there are a lot of pluses to this place: The portion size, the staff, the crispy noodles, and I gotta tell you that lunch buffet menu looked amazing. So if I were to grade it on taste alone, I would give it 3 stars. But there's a lot thats right here too which gives it a slight 4 star edge. Think of this as more like a 3.8 star review thats been rounded. If Im over that way at lunch time, I will DEFINITELY stop by and inform all about that tantalizing buffet!

I have ordered my food delivered from this place several different times. The food is great, but the amount of time it takes to deliver the food is getting progressively longer. First few times I ordered it was the estimated amount of time, which was 45 minutes, then one time they lost the order and I had to call to find out what was taking so long and found out they never received it. Then today, I placed an order at 1:34, and the estimated time was 2:34, an hour later which is a little excessive but I could deal with that, and I still did not receive it at that time. I got it at 2:50 after I called and said I had somewhere to be (which I did) and they told the delivery person I was in a hurry. I'm not taking more star points off because the food is really good. I probably will try to find someplace else to order from in the future and hopefully they will be more reliable.

Friendly service. Delicious food. Good prices. And a cool willingness to do "custom" stuff with their menu!

Husband and I ordered delivery because we were feeling lazy. First, the girl who answered the phone didn't seem to know much about the food. She said they didn't have fried rice but then they did. One redeeming quality is she had told us an appetizer was one thing, and called us back to let us know she was wrong and would correct our billing if we didn't want it anymore. Second, the delivery was fast and the food was hot. Third, My husbands orange chicken was very greasy. So much so, he couldn't eat a lot of it because all he could taste is grease. I had the Mongolian beef. Mine was also a tad greasy, but it was palatable. It was average. Not bad, just not good. I wish I could say something nice about the food, but it was meh.

I love getting delivery food. One particular day, I was craving some good Wor Wonton soup to be brought to me and magically a flyer appeared on my door. Prompt deliver service. Great sized portions. Fried rice was super yummy above average in my book. Lemon chicken was all-white meat lightly fried (not all battered up which I like) and the sauce was just the right amount of sweet to tangy. However, the wor wonton soup was underwhelmingly bland and did not have any meat floating around with the wontons (which were soggy). So while majority of the dishes were very satisfying, the wor wonton soup left me not pleased. I'll probably give them a try again - but not the wor wonton.

Excellent Food since it changed hands. We have lived near this restaurant for years and since it changed hands recently-- it is soo much better. We used to go there because it was close and they would deliver but now I think it is worlds better than it used to be. I went recently for lunch and got the shrimp with lobster sauce and it was excellent-- fresh and very hot. The people that work there are nice too.

Just looking for a snack while we waited on our tire being fixed at Discount Tires we decided to try this place and were glad we did. We had the crab puff and a couple of drinks then decided to get duck mu shu to go which isn't on the menu but they made it for us specially. It was the best duck I think I have had in AZ. Lots of meat, really crispy and tasty sauce. The crab puffs were freshly cooked, very hot and crispy. Loved them. They also served good wines and beer. The service was very helpful and friendly. We will be back to pick up another duck mu shu next week I think.

We came here because we had stumbled upon a Taco Bell and saw this in the parking lot and were like "why the eff not?!?!" So here I am, eating restaurant food again. It's date night + 1 and I needed a quick fix. Mongolian beef. An old trusty. It was really good. The service was fine, but the sweet little lady serving us kept apologizing for normal things which leads me to believe that people are probably crabby to her on a regular basis. Be nice to your servers general public. Just be nice. My son got a chicken wing and an egg roll with his fried rice. These guys know what kids want: fried chicken! Husband got some beef and snow pea concoction. He said it was good. We will come back.

Have ordered here multiple times and this last time is the last time I will give them a try. They are always late with deliveries, they tell you 45 mins and ends up being close to 90 mins. Today we ordered and at the hour mark I get a call saying my address won't go into the drivers gps, I've ordered delivery a lot with them and when I tell them this they say they have no record of me ordering. But when I called to place the order they confirmed my address right away, but now I'm not in their system? They offered to still bring the food but after 2 hours no thanks! Will never be ordering from here again

If you like real Chinese food. DON'T go here. The owner is very fake. The atmosphere is something to be desired. It's not very clean . Tables are sticky. The food is sweet. It seems as though they put lots of sugar in food to make it too sweet which I dont like.

If there is anything that you need to know about this place, or about life in general, I feel like Adrienne H. has it covered. That review nailed it. I only need to add my two cents. I use the "flawed" human interface system when ordering here. And I love it. Somehow they know my face, my order, and even my family. Now, you probably think I come here once or twice a week and post up for a few hours, but that's not the case. I get my Chinese take out fix about once a month like everyone else, but the hospitality here is wonderful. My order is that obnoxious one that everyone hates to take "Cashew chicken, no cashews please!" but they are pleasant and thoughtful every time I come in. The one and only time a mistake happened, they corrected it quickly. I'm so glad I live nearby and If ever I move out of their delivery area, I will still come back to this business whenever possible.

Ordered Kung Pao Chicken which had approximately 5 small pieces of chicken and was mostly these little chopped tasteless cardboard-like veggies. Also ordered BBQ pork fried rice which had slivered pieces of pork you could barely find in the rice. Their Chop Suey was flavorful although was lacking enough bean sprouts, again mostly these cardboard-like tasteless veggies. It seems they skimp on the good stuff!!! I must say however this place is better than Hot Fusion. Generous giving 1 star :(

We have ordered 12 times from Dragon's Palace (signed in on the website and it told me!). It is certainly typical Chinese delivery. It isn't gourmet but it won't make your stomach upset. They accommodate my uncomplicated special orders easily and are friendly. The delivery guys are always professional and quick. I don't want small talk, I want to eat my Chinese food. I have yet to try the buffet, but based on reviews, we might soon.

Ha ha, seriously? GREASY, OVERPRICED, and DISGUSTING!!I this is not Chinese food..I seriously can't believe this ghetto- dump got so many good reviews! If this is what they think is Chinese food..than I must be crazy! First of all, I should have turned around and walked away when I first walked in to be greeted by a punk kid. It was dated, faded, and dusty inside, and when no one is eating in the place than it must suck. I was tired from a hard 12hour shift..so I gave them a chance. I ordered the Mongolian beef dinner. When I finally received it, it had dry rice noodles scattered on top. Well, they were stale. Defiantly NOT Mongolian beef. Beef was greasy, and meat was tough with plenty of fat. Disgusting, so I tossed it where it belongs in the trash and ate chips for dinner. Also note that the kid forgot the soy sauce. So I called back to tell him he forgot it. He said "jeez, you don't have to get all crazy" where did they get him from? I knew there would be trouble from his appearance of saggy pants with his hat tilted to one side..I hope one day I find a decent Chinese restaurant in Tucson..

Seriously love this place! The people on the phone are always very polite and get our order correct. The wait is never very long. Once they spilt something in our bag and brought us extra crab puffs to make up for it. The appetizers are the best, but I also love the Mongolian beef and Moo goo gai pan. Check it out you'll love it !

This place is perfect! I don't normally go out for dinner but when I feel like having delicious Chinese food I go here. The prices are very fair for the amount of food you get, and although it's small it has an unbeatable charm to it. No place in town uses the sauces and spices they do, and it comes out hot and fresh! A few of my favorites are the hot garlic chicken and the house lo mein.

I had the buffet a few days ago and it was delicious. Lunch buffet was about $6, plus another $1.50 for my *unlimited refill soda* (this is not always the case at chinese food places). With a very generous tip I ate like a king for around $10. If you go, ask about their loyalty program. Ty waited on me and said the food wasn't the freshest at that moment - BUT he said if I wanted anything fresh they would cook it for me right then. That's service. I asked for white rice because I didn't see any, and it was sitting at my table before I could finish making my first plate. All of the food I had was on the high-end of the spectrum. It wasn't amazing, but it definitely wasn't bad. Additionally, I was eating an old batch, but I didn't want to make them cook a bunch of new entrees just for me (I was the only person there). The service was awesome, and the hostess (I forget her name, starts with a T) was very attentive in addition to my server. My drink was never empty, and I was checked on enough to feel cared for but not annoyed. I will definitely be returning to scope out their entrees, and possibly try the delivery based on my initial visit.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
