Delicious food, wonderful service and the restaurant was just nifty. I think the building is a historical building. Almost looks like a cross section of a barn and someone's gramma's living room.

Food is fantastic. The old style culture makes everything feel old fashioned. Love it here and will continue to visit for lunch every time I am in town

This place is worth a drive from Little Rock if you are an adventurous eater. Like others have said, you have to suspend concerns for cleanliness. It's like visiting your grandma in the village where she lives in a small house with no running water and an outhouse. You might find a few spiderwebs on the furniture, and maybe an occasional sticky spot on the back of the plate, but it's all good, because you love her and her food tastes amazing. It's a place that the likes of Anthouny Bourdain would rave about. I would recommend sticking to the staples. The chicken fried steak was my favorite. I got a side of mashed potatoes, but it was a mistake because I'm sure they were instant mashed potatoes judging by the taste. The mudslide desert fed 6 people and was amazing. Come here for an adventure, not for a romantic dinner.

Such a cute little restaurant. It has an old country feel to it. It's kind of creepy late night. The floors creek and there's just a wooded area around it. It's the perfect setting for a horror film! The food was decent. I ordered the jalapeño burger. I noticed every sandwhich/burger on the menu comes with mayo as it's dressing not catsup or mustard. That must be an Arkansas thing. The burger was decent. Not among the best I've had but not horrible. The fries were good. Again not amazing but not bad. For my burger and fries the total was $7.95. Not a bad deal. Also, the place is BYOB. There is a liquor store 3 miles up the road you can grab things at on your way to the restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly! We were the last people in the restaurant right at closing time. They made no actions to rush us or get us out. They let us finish our meals and even talked to us for a good ten minutes after we checked out. Overall this was a good experience. I would definitely recommend this place for the atmosphere and the history behind it. Do note that garmin takes you to the wrong address. You'll end up at a hair salon in the sticks. Use google maps or follow the yelp map!

Have tried the Hubcab a few times and the jalpeno hubcap.. both are amazing. I could eat the burger patty alone by itself...it is seasoned to perfection. One of the best seasoned burgers that I have ever had.

Amazing!!!!!! The hubcap burger was awesome and the fried green tomatoes were extremely good! The staff was very friendly and that place is rich with history! The cool part about Cotham's is, they never upgraded the place! It's over 100 years old and they still have the original wood! The structure is sound but everything else is extremely old and historical! I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!

This is one of those places that you have to suspend all concerns for cleanliness and not judge the kitchen by the bathroom. If you cannot get over a dirty environment, don't bother going here. You will not be happy. There, you have been warned. We went for the burgers and decided to live vicariously through the people sitting around us eating the hubcap and just went for the regular, albeit still huge, burger. The burger was good, not as greasy as I was warned and feared. The fries and onion rings were also great. The fried pie had a light onion smell to it, and was light on filling, but still good. I just took for granted that the building was not going to collapse while I was in there... you just kind of have to believe... The 4 stars are for a yummy burger and an acceptance of the dusty history that I was a part of.

First off, when you are driving to this place and you finally find it, you feel like you are entering a scene from the movie "Deliverance". I was disappointed. The hubcap burger was nowhere near the size of a hubcap. The hamburger meat tasted like plain ground up hamburger. The onion rings SUCKED and the fries were basic french fries with seasoned salt on them. The only I had that I really enjoyed was the Mississippi mud but even it was just mediocre. The uniqueness of the venue is really the only thing worth noting. The decor was ancient and fun to look at. They seem to intentionally not clean the items and they let everything build up with dust so thick, its actually draping on the items. I guess that adds authenticity to the age of the items. The building is ancient. Just outside, there are some goats and foul that they keep as pets (I asked) and a stunning view of the lake. It was fun to do once, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it again.

Out of the way and a little bit of a haul but worth it in every way. To say this is a hole in the wall would be an insult to holes in the wall! This is a 1912 building with water hoses on the tin roof to cool it down! In a word - Charming as all hell (ok, that's 4 words, sorry). Plus, its always a good sign when there are three times the number of cars surrounding the place as there are tables inside. The hubcap burger is worthy of national-best type praise. It is really good and extremely large. The fried catfish is excellent. Great batter, quality and flavor. The onion rings were really good. I liked the fried green tomatoes but my wife wished they had been larger. Purple hulls peas were not fresh and french fries were meh. Service was outstanding. Not like Ritz Carlton outstanding but, well, let me give you an example. My wife ordered tea. Not sweet tea because it is a crapshoot how sweet or syrup-y it will be. She added sugar to suit her taste. On the third refill, she was pouring in sugar and the waitress came up and said, "You ought to try our sweet tea, if you don't like it, don't drink it, its on the house." Needless to say, it was as good as her grandmother used to make. Where do you get that kind of attention? This is a special, one-of-a-kind place that should be mandatory if you are with 60 miles of Little Rock. Smiley face, star (5 stars)

Kinda hard to locate on the GPS, but if you can find it you'll enjoy all this wonderful grub. I got the hubcap burger and it was awesome. I would certainly come back when Im in Little Rock.

I thought the country food was very nice. This place is a bit out there, and looks like its going to fall over, but looks can be deceiving.

You have to rate Cotham's on the scale of "Is it good at what it's good for?" And in this case the answer is a definite yes! This is countryfied, country-fried goodness, but bring your own beer, because they don't sell it there (but our waitress told us you can bring in your own). I'd been to Cotham's for lunch several years ago, but only recently went on a Saturday evening with friends who were visiting from New York. They love these little holes in the wall of authentic southern food, and they had requested to go here. We drove out on a rainy, rainy night, so I was sorry the rest of the group, who had never been here before, couldn't see the building in its nearly Delta glory, sitting on stilts going out from the road. Inside, it's pretty raw, but it's cool to be in this former mercantile exchange, and the restaurant has kept the old counter and shelves with random merchandise. It gives this place a great atmosphere and makes the whole outing fun and something special. (We got a special kick out of the display of "Hitler's mustache" with a printout of its history sitting on the counter. We asked a waitress about it, and she said that one of their regulars had recently shown up with it and wanted to display it, so they did!) Cotham's is well known for its Hubcap burger, which is nearly as big as its name suggests, and two in our party chose that for their dinner. (One of them finished it; one of them took half of it home.) I really like to have the catfish po'boy at Cotham's. It's sooooo good. I also have the onion rings. They are a little different than any onion rings I've ever had. The batter is a little heavier. I'm not sure they're for everyone, but I like to have them there because that's part of my Cotham's routine. Several of us also had fried pie for dessert, as well. I mean, if you're going to Cotham's, GO BIG, then go home ... and moan about how much you ate and how delicious it was. Cotham's is a whole experience, so take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, look at the displays, eat your weight in fried food and soak it all in.

While taking a short day trip to Scott, AR to visit the Plantation Agricultural Museum, Toltec Mounds, and Marlsgate Plantation - we stopped for lunch at the famous Cotham's. I've passed their sister location, Cotham's in the City, multiple times downtown. I don't typically opt for good ole' Southern food for a number of reasons: a) It's about as unhealthy as they come, b) I was born and (partly) raised in Michigan - I have no real attachment to Southern foods, and c) I have a weak digestive system- places like Cotham's tends to be too greasy for me. With that said, restaurants in Scott are slim (Cotham's very well may be the one and only), and I love new experiences. The whole town appeared to be there that day, but service was quick and steady. The restaurant itself is nothing special- "authentic" shall I say. Yet, it does have a charm to it. For instance, we walked in and saw a man making balloon animals for a girl who was grinning from ear to ear. Although 15 or so minutes from Little Rock, it has the small town feeling. As for the food- my husband and I each had Chicken Fried Chicken (oh, yes!) with heaping amounts of white gravy, mashed potatoes, a roll, fried green tomatoes and corn fritters. Although I could do without about half the gravy- the chicken and fried green tomatoes were awesome! A piece of fried Heaven. We also tried an apple fried pie, as I had never tried a fried pie. It was made fresh and was good- but not my favorite. Overall, we had a great experience. If looking for Southern, fried goodness- Cotham's is your place.

Maybe the best burger anywhere! Not only huge portions but perfect flavors as well Long story short, I was starving, and ate two horrible burgers from Wendy's out of convenience. Was Sick from staying out too late and drinking way too much the night before and had to be at a business meeting near Scott, AR right before lunch. My business associates suggested taking me and my brother to lunch at Cotham's at the end of our meeting, and the thought made me want to lose the rancid wendy's from just before the meeting started. I went along, as to not let on how bad I was feeling. Felt obligated to order the hubcap burger and O rings. Ate every bite on my plate and though sickly stuffed after, all signs of a hangover were long gone for my ride back up to NWA. Though I had not eaten here for years prior to this experience, I grew up eating at Cotham's and the legendary food continues to be served today.!!!

I don't know how I did it, but I ate a Hubcap, half of my girlfriend's Hubcap, fries, and a side of macaroni and cheese. You know how sometimes a meal is so good that you can't bear the thought of throwing any of it away, so you suit up for war and battle through the whole plate? That's what happened here. I don't even know why the hell I ordered the mac 'n cheese in the first place. I knew that the burger was a full pound. Why did I order the mac 'n cheese? Anyway, everything's delicious. Go. FYI, Cotham's is maybe 15 minutes from Little Rock. My girlfriend flies out of the Little Rock airport a few times a year and it makes a great lunch stop on the drive back to Memphis.

Some may call it "just a burger," but if a burger is comfort food, the Hub Cap Burger delivers LOTS of comfort. Yes, I ate it all and some of THE best crispy onion rings I have had in years. I don't know when I will get there again, but I'm so glad I got there once. It's not fancy--but if you like "rustic" atmosphere and good burgers, Cotham's is worth the trip if in the area.

As a native Washingtonian (DC) who attended college in Arkansas (go Hendrix!), my first trip to Cotham's was about as big of a culture-shock as you can get. It looks like the place hasn't been cleaned in about 100 years, and it's literally a shack suspended on risers above a swamp... Needless to say, this born-and-bred city girl's initial expectations weren't the highest. That being said, I moved back East over a year ago and I still dream about this place. I'm a huge foodie and, as such, it's a big deal for me to say that Cotham's has one of the top 5 burgers I've ever tasted. Plus, if you ever have friends or relatives visiting from the Northeast, it's the perfect place to bring them. They may not want to get out of the car at first, but they'll come around eventually.

have been coming here for years. figured i'd write a short review, just in case the other ones left you wanting for more. cool old building. not too far from little rock. it's a neat change of pace if you find yourself eating in restaurants that are primarily located in strip malls or similarly common looking buildings. unlike many other restaurants, the decor on the walls and shelves is real. it's kind of cool to step back in time like this. it's not fancy. it's not supposed to be. it's not pretentiously trying to be an old timey looking restaurant. it just is a legit old timey building. looks like it's about to fall into the water that it backs up to. if you come here, just get the hubcap burger. no, it's not the size of an actual hubcap (that would be ridiculous). no, it's not gourmet with some type of fancy filler or organic bun. it's just a big ass greasy burger on a greasy bun with some cheap cheese dripping down the sides. no, the fries are not coated in truffle oil. in my opinion, this is the way a burger & fries should be. if you like to smell your own farts and want pretentious fancy burgers that aren't very good, go to big orange. if you want to keep it real and have grease running down your forearm while you stuff your face, come to cotham's (pronounced "caught 'ems"). thank you for your time.

As good as it gets because of location. The place is scray to walk into considering it's a really old building and seems to be in need of some new flooring. The food is good and big portions.
