If you've eaten at a roadhouse, logans, or even ordered a steak at Applebee's the experience is mostly the same. Nothing to write home about. To elaborate: both our entries came out lukewarm at best, with my wife's filet coming out undercooked 3 times, so by the time it was corrected it was beef jerky. I would've expected a little more from such a highly rated (and priced) steakhouse chain.

Don't go here is you are looking for a good steak. Within the span of a year, I had visited this place twice. Ordered steak on both occasions. I got the 10ounce ribeye with steamed vegetables and smashed potatoes. The ribeye steak is bland. I needed to add salt and A1 sauce. Smashed potatoes is terrific. The free bread tastes great too. I suggest just ordering apetizers, drinks and enjoy the free bread when you come here. I would had given three stars but had to take one star out because service in my opnion was not good. The server on the two occasions I came here was not pleasant. They seem tierd and didnt give us the welcoming feeling. It could also be because we got there 2 hours before their closing and the other occasion was at 1pm Easter sunday. The server also mixes up out orders. i ordered medium rare and I got medium well. While the other person with me got my order. We simply swicthed plates. The server also forgot to Ask us if we wanted deserts. We went to Barnes & Noble down the street instead for desert.

Colton's was just average. It has that typical chain steakhouse feel, especially with the peanut shells on the floor! Our waitress was Angela, she was very nice and attentive to us. In regards to the food, we started with the onion blossom, which is a normal steakhouse staple-- fried onion with the "special sauce." Even though it was basic, we of course finished it with nothing left behind! For my main entree, I had the Sante Fe Chicken with a side of Loaded Smashed Potatoes. The chicken is loaded with bacon, tomatoes, cheese, green onions, and a side of .... French dressing? Not sure how the French dressing goes with that dish, but I made it work. The chicken in the dish was particularly juicy, though. It was definitely the best part, even though it was such a tiny piece. Good food, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I had never been before and would probably have never gone but that was where my date wanted to go. I ordered the special, which was steak and shrimp. I asked for the steak medium rare, and the steak was so small and thin it would have been impossible to cook it to that specification. Besides being small and over-cooked, it was inedible. Shoe leather would be offended if I called this steak by that term. The shrimp was rubbery and tasteless. If this is their "special" I'd hate to try their regular menu. Logan's and Lone Star are not that great either, but they're better than this.

Poor quality food. Chicken full of gristle and fatty skin. House salad just ice berg with one tiny piece of tomato and one ring of purple onion. Brocolli was over cooked mush. Coltons signature salad dressing is a cup of mayo with a spoon of thousand island for color and taste. Won't be going to another chain steakhouse

Quality has ran down here since 5 months ago. I am a bit disappointed about food here now.

This is a chain steakhouse, that compares To Texas Roadhouse, Logan's Roadhouse and the such. Is it better, I couldn't say, I can say they cooked my steak correctly and the loaded baked potato was good. I thought the steak was under seasoned, and the draft beer selection could use some improvement. If you are looking for a good steak quickly and at a fair price this is a good choice.

Five stars for a chain steak house? Yes I am! I have just never been disappointed here. Excellent service and tasty food. It's not high brow, but it tastes good and that's good enough for me. The rolls alone are worth a trip!

Went to Colton's last evening 7/25/2015. I've been here a couple of times before so I know what the norm is for this place. Last night (a Friday night) there were no lines waiting to get in. Not a good sign for a restaurant on a Friday night. When the meal was finished I understood why no one was trying to get in. It took us over an hour to get our meal. It was by no means the fault of the waitress because she actually went back and made our salads herself. I asked to see the manager who was sent to our table who was anything but nice on his first trip. I even pointed out no one was waiting to get in his restaurant on a Friday night and he blew me off with an answer of "that's another issue". He did comp us our meal, gave us a bag of peanuts and complimentary lunch coupons but the damage was already done. I'm very disappointed in the overall experience and understand why this restaurant will probably not be in business much longer.

Well can't really say anything about the food, because we never got served. Waited 15 min and just left. Rolls were cold and the usual steal house kind of roll. That is all we got to experience.

Personally I don't really care for this steakhouse. Today I went there and my husband ordered their grilled chicken. If was really dry, and hard to cut. I ordered the pan seared tilapia and it was so greasy and the salty sauce on it was so thick that I got sick to my stomach. However I will say that I do appreciate the drinks they sale. They have some GREAT summer coolers if you ever decide to stop by. My personal favorite is the "Bahama Mama" but also keep in mind I've only been there twice.

Look, I hate complaining, I really do. Let me try to be short and sweet: Pros: waitress was really nice, bathroom was mostly clean (took the little one in their to do his bidness) Cons: the appetizer we had were some type of southwest egg rolls, but they tasted like the frozen egg rolls you get when you're buying food for lots of people and don't know what to buy.. The kind where you know they're supposed to taste like something, but they don't really taste like anything at all. For my meal I got the country fried steak with mushroom sauce and sweet potato fries. The mushroom sauce was okay, but I got maybe 3 slices of mushrooms. Is there a shortage? I heard the table next to me say "no mushrooms on mine" - well heck, give me what they're not eating. The country fried steak, honest to god, tasted like the country fried steak fingers you get in a high school cafeteria. Not that I'm dogging high school cafeteria food, it's just I'm not paying a full dinner price for it. The breading was not great and the steak tasted bland. The sweet potato fries tasted as they were intended, but the dipping sauce was.. Unusual. When she gave it to me I thought it was 2% milk. When I dipped and tasted I was surprised to find out that it was instead something to the effect of marshmallow creme/spread, which had no business near a country fried steak, or in a steak house for that matter. My little one had the Mac and cheese with fries. The 2 steak fries I ate off his plate was better than my entire meal. The part that probably irks me the most is they have the gall to raise the prices to the amount that they did. My parents, who don't like to eat out as it is, invited my son and I for dinner and paid for our meals. The fact that no one at the table was remotely satisfied with their meal, except for the toddler who eviscerated his Mac and cheese, really just makes me sad. Oh and Mr. Pibb. Really Colton's? It's 2013. This didn't turn out to be short and sweet by any means. tl;dr two stars for our nice waitress.

I like Colton's. Great place for lunch with decent lunch specials between $7-9. Nice big salads, decent steak, good grilled chicken, healthy options like fresh steamed broccoli for a side item. They play country music and offer a pail of peanuts on your table while you wait. Logans is pretty much next door and while it has even more healthy options (grilled veggies), its much pricier, especially at lunch as they don't offer a lunch menu anymore.

Best food and value I've found in Nwa , puts Logan's to shame . Service is awesome

Obviously this not the type of place to order a streak, they should probably just stick to "home cooking" type of fare and leave out the steaks. There are some good steak houses here in Benton county (local and otherwise) that blow this place out of the water. I would say the same thing about their BBQ, though I've never tried it, common sense would tell me this is not the place to order ribs in the South. and no real southerner would do such expecting much. for what this place is, it is ok.

Not bad for a steakhouse, we were here for dinner. The parking might be a bit tight, but for 8pm on a Saturday, there was plenty. I guess the broader economy isn't helping. We were seated immediately and the waitress took our drink orders and then dinner. We must have been all business because she didn't suggest an appetizer. The steak dinners come with a salad and one side item. We each went with caesars and baked potatoes. Two sirloin steaks were each cooked to our liking and one order of the pork chops. The steaks were the right size and had only a minimal amount of fat. The pork chops were delicious though they were perhaps a little thin. Service was good and a manager stopped by the table to check on us as well. There's an Outback not far away with more or less the same menu, so while I enjoyed Colton's, I might give the other place a try.

Second place to TXLC when it comes to food, especially steaks. They don't always get the order right as far as how it's cooked, but they do their best to ensure you're a happy customer when it's all said and done. The wait staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

Great burgers and even better service. These people actually care about their customers.

In short, don't bother. Okay food, horrible service. We got there about 15 minutes after opening, so seating was quick. However the person who showed us to our seats also was our waiter. You heard that right. Our server was also working front of house. We barely saw them the entire time. Our glasses actually ran dry. In my book a customers glass should never reach empty. Only once, about half way through the main portion of the meal did our server even stop by to ask how things where. The Caesar salad was "meh". The dressing wasn't very flavorful and the croutons were all just tossed on one side, plus the lettuce was in HUGE pieces, that required cutting down to bite size, and it wasn't the freshest. Our steaks tasted okay, though both were over cooked and one was missing the "onion tangles" that were supposed to top it. The meat itself tasked fairly decent. All told we will not be returning. The service being so horrible was the deal breaker. The whole experience would have been much better had our server just bothered to check in and be friendly.

Think Lonestar etc. Peanuts on the floor etc. They have a very good lunch menu. I usually get the Chicken Salad. It's got a whole breast of chicken in a giant bowl of lettuce. Rolls are hot with butter and honey. I can easily get out for under $10, which is getting harder and harder these days.
