One of my favorite Mexican restaurants to stop by when traveling. Their breakfast/Brunch is good had it a couple of times. The chile Rellano are different with a twist, Instead of being deep fried they are stuffed with cheese and inside of an egg. To describe it ... It's like a omelet with a chile Rellano on the inside covered with cheese. The tacos are good. But when ordering a quesadilla make sure you say you want fajita chicken or else they will give you pulled or shredded chicken. The California burrito is good. The hamburger is good? Wait what?!? You ordered a hamburger at a Mexican restaurant? The hamburger is okay-good. There refried beans are good. Rice is just okay. They got new menus since I last visited. Theirs not another Mexican restaurant that I know of till Mountain Home or before Yelvile

Letty's is good eats! We are there at least once a week. My son loves the white cheese dip. They are not kidding around on the portion sizes. You will not leave hungry. They serve all your Mexican favorites, plus a full breakfast menu and sandwiches/burgers for those in your party who don't care for Mexican. Kid's menu includes a Mickey Mouse pancake. The building is brand new built in 2009 after being completely destroyed by a tornado in 2008. The dining room has much more seating, including tables and booths. The staff is always friendly!

Not great mexican food. Mediocre. Pleasant staff. Tacos were bland. Enchiladas were soggy. Beans were runny. I won't be going back with KT's BBQ across the street.

Use to be one of my favorite Mexican restraunts but for some reason the last 3-4 times I have ate there it was only okay !!

YUUUMMMMMMM!!!!!!!! My husband and I went there the other day and it was literally the best burrito my husband has ever had and he is really picky. I had the flautas and they were awesome. Beans were great (not runny), rice was perfect, love the salsa and really freshly made chips. Service was great and it was a really cute place too.

I really liked the family atmosphere at Letty's. When one of the regulars came in for breakfast, she said, "I cooked yesterday, so I didn't come in." And the waitress said, "You cooked?! Well, don't make it a habit now!" heehee!! Coming from Austin, I can safely say that Letty's has some gooooood Mexican food! When they bring out chicken fajitas, they aren't playing! You get a whole pan of fajitas---not just a few fajitas and a ton of onions, like some places in Austin do. Make sure to stop in for breakfast, too. Letty's serves breakfast all day, and their omelets are big and delicious. The facility itself is well appointed with pretty decor, even the bathrooms are very clean and have nice decorative touches. The little garden area out front is cute. If they could change one thing, it would need to be the timing of when they serve the food. In our party, there were about six or seven of us at a time. It seems like they would bring out plates for three people, serve other tables, and finally bring the plates out for the rest of us. The entire table should be served at the same time. Other than that, they have a good, clean, family-oriented operation going on at Letty's!

Chicken fajitas mostly onions with small pieces of chicken. Chips were over cooked in old oil. Chicken burrito had plenty of chicken but so-so. Not as good as we had expected but not a lot of good restaurants in this area. No beer! How does one eat Mexican food without beer? At Lettys.

The best Mexican in the Mountain Home area. It's a regular place for us. Went to the original one that was destroyed by tornado. The new place is much nicer. Great people, friendly, reasonably clean, good decor, not fancy or upscale but the portions are generous, beans can be a little soupy sometimes, & service is usually pretty fast. We ordered beef fajitas to share & still took home a box with enough for another lunch. We're lite eaters, but not that light. They have no alcohol as they are located between two churches. I have no idea why those things are connected but that's how the owner explained it to me. They seem more California Mex than Tex-Mex to me with plenty of avocado available & rellenos that taste pretty good. Been in when they had live music on weekends....didn't have last Sat nite. Nice if available. They must prepare ahead on some things as our fajita dish arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. For our area, highly recommended. Never tried breakfast there.

First the disclaimer - after spending time closer to Mexico I'm more discerning with Mexican food than I used to be. On the positive side, the wait staff were very friendly. The food didn't live up to the wait staff though. What we were served was covered in lots of cheese, the tamales were stale, the refried beans were watery, and the tacos were bland. Quesadilla was fine. Not a lot of choices around for Mexican food so set your expectations correctly before going.

Haven't been here since they rebuilt and reopened. Prior to that, the food was pretty good, but the service was sloooow. Seemed as though only one waitress was ever on duty, and there were just too many tables for one person to handle. Service suffered because of this.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
