We sometimes stop here on our way thru Arkansas.......I will agree with another reviewer that the guacamole is overpriced and is mixed with lettuce which is always a negative.....you only get a small scoop. I love guacamole.....I have to add lemon juice to it to make it more my style. In general, this is Tex Mex.....and I like that style, one thing we particularly noticed on our last trip here is that they use fresh tortillas in their enchiladas.....so much better than most places !! We got prompt friendly service.....as always, and enjoyed our food. The salsa is good, the chips could have been thinner for my taste, but all in all, it was a good meal. We will return.

The mark of any good Mexican food place is their Guacamole. I am a HUGE guacamole fan and I bet you if I ever wound up in a hospital ER and they were trying to get blood from me, I would be bleeding Guacamole. Ta Molly's guacamole isn't good, and besides that, they only give you a little scoop of it for dip. It's on a bed of lettuce so you get more lettuce instead of guacamole. The guac was 2 stars if that. I also tried the white cheese dip...nothing to write home about and I have had better at other places. I had the spicy beef flautas which were okay. Service was a bit slow... Prices are good and reasonable so that makes it a 3 star place. I wish I was back in San Antonio where I could get some good Mexican food and some really good guac. Oh well...

Great service. Very fast with food. i was in and out in 15 minutes. The price was great and the food was nice and hot. Definitely recommend it to anyone that is wanting good tex mex food.

The TaMolly's that we ate at was in Arkadelphia (not sure if this is the same one or not). Anyway, I hate to leave bad reviews, but this was the worst Mexican food that I have ever had. The service was friendly and the decorations were lovely. However, the meat was too dry and spicy to eat, the taco shells were stale and most of the food stayed on our plates. I really didn't think you foul up Mexican food, but they managed to. Sorry.

I would give them an average 3 star review mainly because it's a normal Tex-Mex joint with average not horrible food. BUT, merely on the fact they have a wonderful Gluten Free selection and process I give them 4! (For my Mothers sake) I normally get the same hard taco trio, chicken, beef and steak. It's normal very good with a large portion of fresh lettuce, tomatoes and shredded cheese. The employees are usually quite friendly and hospitable. The pecan cookies on the counter while leaving are a good going away treat. Try one!

Mehjust ok. Not a big Texmex fan. The pico-degallo was good. That's about it. Tamales dry, enchilada overlooked little hard pieces of jerky...

Fast service, friendly. Low score is from a skimpy portion made with precooked meat, and overall poorly prepared Too bad cooks suck.

Yikes. One star is about the best I can do. Ordered fajitas thinking How can they mess this up.....my chicken fajitas tasted like fake chicken with a bottle of liquid smoke. The beans tasted oily and rubberish. Surprisingly, the guacamole was good. My spouse got a salad which was clearly a bag salad with olives added. The chips were stale and the tortillas were from a bag. No way anything was fresh. Never saw the server again to get more iced tea. Finally had to go to the counter to get the ticket. This restaurant will be short lived.

We stopped at Ta Molly's on our way to Dallas Tx and it was good for tex mex. I ordered the trio dip as an appetizer. The white cheese dip and yellow cheese dip were both really good, but the guacamole needed more avocado and less tomato. For my main dish I ordered the enchilada dinner since it looked liked enchiladas were their specialty. All three enchiladas were delicious, one with white covered in yellow cheese was the best. The chicken enchilda was also tasty, but would be even better without the onions. Prices are very cheap, like $6 for most items. Overall I would go again. I had to deduct a star for not having Margaritas, it's just not natural.

I really enjoyed eating here. The food was really quite decent for a good price. The reviews here had my expectations low, but my experience was quite positive. I had the "fiesta" dinner plate. Quite good.

The only reason im leaving 1 star is because the wait staff was so nice. Otherwise STAY AWAY. The chicken is cheap and undercooked, the rice has no flavor, and the salads are loaded with pepper. Very low quality mexican restaurant, food quality is comparable to fast food.

Rated three stars, it was a solid average experience. Ordered the fish tacos and they were good. The white queso dip was pretty bland, even with the jalapeños. Certainly worth a try but expect average, not exceptional.

One of the last resorts for "Mexican" food in Bryant area. I wouldn't even call this place tex-mex. it's just ok, nothing to really crave. The service is usually good though. Probably the only good thing going for the place

We have been lodging at the hotel adjacent to this restaurant for several years however had never visited the restaurant as we always have left mexican food eating for our home state. In this case we can walk from our hotel to the restaurant so why not? The food was as good as most mexican restaurants. It was not gourmet food however the service was reasonably good. the service. Prices are reasonable. Inside is typical Mexican. Just don't expect the food to be really great. After all what can you really do to spruce up beans and rice?

Stopped on our way back to Texas as we were staying at a nearby hotel. We were hungry. No problem, lots of food. Chips and salsa were very good. Spouse ordered the Chicken torta with side of black beans. He was happy. I ordered the Baja tacos, one of my favorites and was very disappointed. Overly breaded fried fish served in a tortilla with cheese, lettuce and tomato and some okay sauce. But seriously, cheese on a fish taco is so wrong. Tasted nasty. And Baja Fish tacos always have a cabbage slaw. The rice was very good. So I guess it depends on what you order. Skip the fish and go basic.

We were staying at a nearby hotel, and after a long day of driving Mexican food sounded great...actually, a margarita sounded great, and it's hard to mess up Tex-Mex food so we went for it. We were seated quickly...actually, too quickly because if I'd known they didn't serve alcohol we probably would have left. But we were seated and already had our chips and water in front of us, so we opted to stay and sample Arkansas-style Tex Mex. They offer an appetizer called "Bob"...could it be the same "Bob Armstrong" made famous by a renowned Tex Mex restaurant in Austin and Dallas??? Of course we ordered it - even without a margarita, that would be WONDERFUL! Sorry...disappointment #2. Not even close to a Bob Armstrong. The cheese (queso?) tastes like it came out of a Rico's can, and of course that same cheese covered everything on our main course plate. On the positive side; the food came quickly, was hot and filling, and the service was friendly. Otherwise, I wish we'd gotten out of there when we found out they didn't serve alcohol.

For the past 4 years, every time Ta Molly's was suggested as a "Mexican" food dinner option, I cringed. I cringed because it seemed like the cooks and management just wanted to provide product at cheap cost to them and poor quality to their customers. And so I would go only if I had to and never recommended the restaurant. Last night my family, friends and I went to Ta Molly's, again I cringed because not was I tired of being disappointed with the food but I am currently on a special diet. After asking our waiter quite a few questions, poor guy (and husband), I ordered the Chile Relleno - but in a special vegetarian style not on the menu. He said there would not be a problem. After a relatively short wait the Chile Relleno came stuffed with mushrooms, onions, peppers and whatever else the kitchen thought up. I expected my meal to have hardly any flavor...I was wrong. Granted there was some cheese, but I forgave that because they went the extra mile and my dinner tasted fantastic!! Would I say Ta Molly's has redeemed themselves...as of last night...they are on their way up. I noticed my daughters meal, the fluffy tacos, she's a tough critic when it comes to food mommy doesn't make, however she really enjoyed it (bonus points). I'm glad to see a little more care put into the food. I hope the next time we go, I find the same care put into my meal as I did last night. Very thankful for the good service and a happy family.

I love the cheese enchilada dinner. Never tried anything else. Not many places serve yellow cheese topping on the enchiladas but Ta Molly's gives you the option.

While making the long haul from Michigan to Texas, our hungry group of travelers stopped in Arkansas for the night. I had been driving for hours and kind of sounded out the name of the restaurant as we passed by. 'tah-molly's...tah Molly's...tamollies!' fits of laughter ensued, so naturally we had to eat there. The service was great, my flautas were delicious and the salsa and chips were quite tasty. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals and if I ever saw another TaMolly's, I would gladly stop there again.

First thing: I echo the comments about the guacamole. Small portion, cheap preparation. Second: We ate there in February '12. The room was full of very loud kids; the food tasted bad and the next day we spent intensely ill as we drove back north. Yuck.

The guacamole and salsa were fantastic. Ashley, our server, really knows what she is doing. She took great care of us, we didn't have to wait on anything and she came around often to see if we needed anything else;) thanks Ashley!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
