When you visit Rogersville, you don't think that you are going to find some pretty good food here. However, I've found three places that are actually a notch above some of the restaurants in bigger nearby cities like Huntsville and Athens - Whitt's, Savannah and Stanfield's Steakhouse Service is good at all three and prices are really reasonable. Of the three, I like Savannah the best but it is only open for lunch up to around 4pm. Added bonus - wifi is available Catfish and the loaded sweet potatoes are good at Stanfield's Had the plate lunch at Whitt's and is quite happy with my choice. Nephew had the ribs and thought it was pretty good too. Just note the hours because it seems closed quite often but you can't beat the price. Also note it is a drive-through and there are no indoor seating - just a few tables outside.

I went to Whitt's on my lunch break with a friend and a sweet lady who walks the Muscle Shoals area often and must be a regular at Whitt's BBQ stopped by and chatted with us. The restaurant employee walked outside where we were sitting with the woman and brought out her lunch. That was such a sweet act upon the employees part and made us smile. We don't get to see customer service like that too often these days and it made our day! We enjoyed the food and that example of how we should go above and beyond sometimes. Thanks!

I am a BBQ fanatic. When I get to 'Bama country, it is the first thing I want! While I love living in Texas, the BBQ here is nothing like the FABULOUS Alabama kind. In TX, beef is preferred. But in AL, they do pulled pork and THAT is what this girl CRAVES! Yum-O-Rama! Whitt's does pulled pork right. Smokey, non-greasy goodness. Slap some vinegar sauce, purple onions and finely chopped white vinegar slaw onto the BBQ with a fresh hamburger bun, and you've found HEAVEN. The other BEST at Whitt's is the Brunswick Stew. OH.....MY.....GOD! It is soooooo delish! Why do none of the BBQ places in Dallas carry this stuff? At Whitt's, you can buy it by the gallon. If I lived near a Whitt's, I'd be cooking much less in the winter time. Brunswick Stew is so wonderful in the cool weather months and it is an elixir to stave away illness. OK Whitt's...you need to expand to Dallas. The suburb of Carrollton to be specific. Pretend we're dating onlie and take a chance by moving here to see if it will work out! I l heart YOU!

I had the 'jumbo' pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty damn good. The pork didn't have any sauce to it, but definitely had a kick to it.

Whitt's bbq has always been the best around! The texture and flavor is always consistently good! Its a simple menu, but everything on it is good! I grew up eating Whitt's in Decatur, AL, so I was excited when Rogersville got one!

Whitt's has the best ribs I've ever had... I'm not a fan of ribs but for some reason felt like I wanted ribs... I got a full rack (to share).... Absolutely the best I've had made me an instant fan... Fall off the bone tender with a good smokey crust on the outside.... Very meaty... Almost didn't share them... I'll give the potato salad a A+ also not a fan of the cole slaw but just not my style of slaw ( I like creamier slaw not the vinegar based).... 5 stars goes towards what there signs says there selling and that's BBQ
